One of the oral traditions of Pelalawan people loaded with character values ​​is the Long Chant of the Bujang Si Undang. In the long song Bujang Si Undang depicted portrait of ideal character of pelalawan people who can be guided as effort to maintain local wisdom of Petalangan society. This paper aims to describe the value of character education contained in the Legend of the Legal Bujang Si. Techniques performed in analyzing data using content analysis (content analysis). The result of the research shows that Singing Long Bujang Si Undang has educational content of character value. Educational values ​​of the characters contained in the Legend of Singles Long Leg there are five, namely the character of faith and cautious, honest, intelligent, resilient, and caring. Character education in Long Singing Sing song with the focus of faith and cautious reflected from the character of obedience to parents and mandate. The value of character education with honest focus is depicted from the honest character and responsibility. The education of the character's character with the focus of the intelligent character is depicted from the virtue character of demanding science and openness. Educational values ​​of characters with strong character focus are depicted from the character of hard work, diligent, and diligent, independent, confident, and courageous. Educational values ​​of characters with a focus of caring character depicted from sincere character, willing to sacrifice, affection, mutual cooperation, and spirit of unity.

This study aims to describe the thoughts of K.H. Bisri Mustofa’s moral education in the books of Mitro Sejati and Ngudi Susilo and its relevance with the development of character building in Indonesia. To describe the concept of moral education in the aforementiod books, content analysis was used to grasp the main messages of the books. The finding showed that the thoughts of K.H. Bisri Mustofa’s moral education were relevant with the development of character building proclaimed by the government. The relevancyecould be found in the foundational thinking about moral education contended by K.H. Bisri Mustofa and character education in Indonesia, encompassing the importance of humanism in social interaction, moral degradation among adolescents, and the erosion of Eastern culture by Western culture.  Relevance was also found in the five main character values ​​that were prioritized in the implementation of the development of character building in which each value is relevant to KH. Bisri Mustofa. These values ​​include religious, integrity, nationalist, independent, and mutual cooperation.

<p>The tradition of establishing a house in Tanjung Pauh, Kerinci contains noble educational values such as deliberation, mutual cooperation, togetherness, knowing and helping each other, monotheism, recalling kindness, and courtesy. Those values are aligned with the concept of character education proposed by Thomas Lickona. The values can be implemented into family education especially in rural communities of Tanjung Pauh, Kerinci. The character values in harvesting rice carried out by the community teach civilized attitude towards plants and sharing with others. Besides, the community also has principles of respect, attention, respect, and compliance with customs regulations. The ceremony is performed based on custom and religious teachings with the intention to reject any disasters experienced by human beings, plants, and animals. Besides, the ceremony performed contains meanings of gratitude to God Almighty in order to reduce the punishment of the grave space, especially for parents who died and owned rice fields. For those who are still alive, these activities are carried out with the hope that everything done runs well, gains healthy bodies and longevity.</p>

 This study aims to see the value of any character education found in children's literature entitled “The Youngest Frog”, “Si Molek”, “Masarasenani and Sun”, and “Tiny Boy” by Murti Bunanta. Children's literature is a literary work written by adults and intended for children. This study used descriptive qualitative intends to understand the phenomenon of what is experienced by the subject of research. This study revealed that the use of dominant character education values can be seen in the value of love peace, hard work, communicative, creative, and curiosity with the amount of data 4 or 13 percentage. Values of character education are manifested in the democratic and religious values.

This research is motivated by problems in the world of education, that the values of character education get less attention because more directed to the mastery of academic or cognitive aspects. While the actual nonakademik aspect becomes the main foundation in character education less attention, so less embedded in learners. Therefore, this study aims to instill the values of character education contained in the novel Rantau Satu Muara by Ahmad Fuadi. This novel is chosen because it is closely related to the values of character education. The type of this research is qualitative with descriptive analysis method. This research also uses the approach of literary sociology. The data collection is done by the researchers themselves. The researcher recorded and analyzed the data during the research to collect the data taken in the novel text then the researchers themselves processed and analyzed the data in detail. The results of this study are the values of character education in the novel Rantau Satu Muara by Ahmad Fuadi which contains the values of character education, as follows. (1) Educational values of religious characters with indicators of sincerity, diligent worship / prayer, prayer, thanksgiving, and put your trust in. (2) The values of hard work character education with indicators of earnest, unyielding, aspiring and creative. (3) The values of education of the love character of the homeland with nationalist indicators and respect for diversity. (4) Educational values of the character communicative / friendly with indicators of cooperation, social care, love out, affection, kindness and respect the achievements of others. (5) The educational values of the characters love to read with the indicators of love science and diligent reading. (6) Values of character education responsibilities with independent indicators.

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter pada ungkapan hikmah di sekolah dasar se-karesidenan Surakarta. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif kualitatif. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa kata, frasa, dan kalimat yang terdapat pada ungkapan hikmah di sekolah dasar se-karesidenan Surakarta. Adapun sumber data dalam penelitian ini yaitu ungkapan hikmah yang ditempatkan di sekolah dasar se-karesidenan Surakarta. Pengumpulan data penelitian menggunakan teknik dokumentasi. Analisis data penelitian menggunakan analisis isi (content analysis). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter pada ungkapan hikmah yang ditempatkan di sekolah dasar se-karesidenan Surakarta meliputi religius, jujur, toleransi, disiplin, kerja keras, kreatif, mandiri, demokratis, rasa ingin tahu, semangat kebangsaan, cinta tanah air, menghargai prestasi, bersahabat/komunikatif, cinta damai, gemar membaca, peduli lingkungan, peduli sosial, dan tanggung jawab. Ungkapan hikmah yang ada sangat relevan ditempatkan di sekolah dasar. Hal ini bertujuan agar peserta didik memiliki kemampuan akademik dan akhlak karimah.Kata Kunci: ungkapan hikmah, nilai karakter, sekolah dasarCHARACTER EDUCATION VALUE IN THE EXPRESSION OF HIKMAH IN THE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN THE RESIDENCY OF SURAKARTA Abstract:This research aims to describe the values of character education in the expression of hikmah (wisdom) in elementary schools in the residency of Surakarta. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The data in this research in the form of words, phrases and sentences contained in the expression of hikmah in elementary schools in the residency of Surakarta. The source of the data in this research is the expression of hikmah placed in elementary schools in the residency of Surakarta. Research data collection used documentation techniques. Analysis of research data used content analysis. The results of the research showed the values of character education in the expression of hikmah placed in elementary schools in the residency of Surakarta include religious, honesty, tolerance, discipline, hard work, creative, independent, democratic, curiosity, national spirit, love of the motherland, respect for achievement, friendly/communicative, peace-loving, fond of reading, caring for the environment, caring socially, and being responsible. The expressions of hikmah are very relevant placed in elementary schools. <p><em>This is descriptive qualitative research using stylistic analysis to describe the existence of language style, diction, image, educational values of the character, and the relevance of the lyrics of Fourtwnty album Lelaku as a teaching material for Indonesian language learning at high school. Data collection techniques use content analysis and interviews. Validity test of data using medhod triangulation techniques and theory. The results of this study indicate</em></p><em>the language style dominated by sinpoke, repetition epizeuksis, and symbolic able to create aesthetic effects, typical, and affirmation; (2) diction is dominated by connotative and typical greetings and names that can create beauty and uniqueness; (3) the image  is  dominated by  vision capable of generating the image  of  the  reader; (4) the  values  of  character  education  are dominated by religious values, communicative, hard work, and  peaceful  love  that  is expected to shape the character of the reader; and (5) The lyrics of Fourtwnty's album Lelaku can be used and developed as learning materials of class X Indonesian language especially poetry appreciation material on basic competence 3.8 and 4.8.</em>

This paper is motivated by the moral decadence that occurs in West Java as a Sundanese society. This paper intends to re-explore ethical values that should be the basis of Sundanese people's lives in West Java. This research uses qualitative. Data taken from the author's observational that are felt and experienced in everyday life. Research shows that education takes an important role in efforts to foster a moral attitude of society. Education in question is character education based on Sundanese cultural values. So hopefully the community can become an identity that always holds the wisdom of a good Sundanese culture. Some ethical values of Sundanese culture that can be found are welfare, health, care for the environment, moderate, hard work, discipline, politeness, honesty, upholding the truth, mutual cooperation, social solidarity, positive thinking, mature calculation, education, gender management, preservation and preservation Sundanese culture. The values of Sundanese culture can be classified into 2 (two), namely prosperity/welfare and peace/goodness that are all reflected in outlook on life, oral traditions, language, and pro-social behavior. These values are very relevant to the essential value of the Koran. Based on the values inherent in the Sundanese community, it should be able to create a climate that brings the community to Islamic values. Thus, we will go to the society that Islam aspires for, namely a society where every aspect of life breathes religious values.

Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi relevansi nilai-nilai Pendidikan Holistik Berbasis  Karakter melalui sembilan pilar karakter dengan tasyrih kaidah-kaidah Wasiat Renungan Masa. Studi ini  merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif melalui kajian pustaka (liberary research) dengan sumber  utama yaitu buku Wasiat Renungan Masa karya Maulana Syaikh TGKH. Muhammad Zainuddin Abdul  Majid  dan  buku  Pendidikan  Karakter:  Solusi  Yang  Tepat  Untuk  Membangun  Bangsa  karya  Ratna  Megawangi.  Teknik  analisis  data  dilakukan  dengan  tahapan  yaitu  membaca,  mencatat,  menelaah,  mengumpulkan konsep, kemudian dilakukan elaborasi. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa 48 bait Wasiat  Renungan Masa yang secara eksplisit dan tersurat menasyrihkan konsepsi pemikiran, kaidah, amanat,  dan  harapan  besar  tentang  Pendidikan  Holistik  Berbasis  Karakter  melalui  sembilan  pilar  karakter  dengan rincian yaitu Mencintai Tuhan dan ciptaan-Nya ditasyrihkan dalam 9 bait; Kemandirian dan  Tanggung jawab dalam 7 bait; Kejujuran dan Amanah dalam 4 bait; Hormat dan Santun dalam 5 bait;  Dermawan, Suka Tolong-Menolong, dan Gotong Royong dalam 5 bait; Percaya Diri dan Pekerja Keras  dalam 4 bait; Kepemimpinan dan Keadilan dalam 4 bait; Baik dan Rendah Hati dalam 5 bait; Toleransi,  Kedamaian, dan Kesatuan dalam 5 bait. Jadi, Tasyrih Wasiat Renungan Masa mengandung konsepsi  pemikiran dan kaidah Pendidikan Holistik Berbasis Karakter. CHARACTER-BASED HOLIS TIC EDUCATION IN TASYRIH OF WASIAT RENUNGAN  MASA OF TGKH. MUHAMMAD ZAINUDDIN ABDUL MAJIDThis study aims to explore the relevance of character-based holistic education values through  the nine pillars of character with the norms of the Will of the Devotion. This study is a qualitative  descriptive study through liberary research with the main sources, namely a book of Wasiat Renungan  Masa by Syaikh TGKH. Muhammad Zainuddin Abdul Majid and the book of Character Education: The  Right Solution for Building the Nation by Ratna Megawangi. The data analysis technique was carried  out in stages, namely reading, taking notes, analyzing, collecting concepts, then elaborating. The results  of the study show that 48 verses of the  Wasiat Renungan Masa explicitly and expressly embody the  conceptions of thoughts, rules, mandates, and high hopes about Character-Based Holistic Education  through nine pillars of character with details, namely Loving God and His Creation is revealed in 9  stanzas;  Independence  and  responsibility  in  7  stanzas;  Honesty  and  Trust  are  taught  in  4  stanzas;  Respect and courtesy in 5 stanzas; Generous, Helpful-Helpful, and Mutual Cooperation in 5 stanzas;  Confidence and Hard Work in 4 stanzas; Leadership and Justice in 4 stanzas; Good and Humble in 5  stanzas; Tolerance, Peace, and Unity in 5 stanzas. Therefore, the book of Wasiat Renungan Masa contains  explicit  and  expressly  express  conception  of  thoughts  and  rules  regarding  character-based  holistic  education.

The Many

This article examines the Islamic cartoon film Nussa and Rara. The author used Nussa and Rara as a window to see the emergence of Islamic cartoon films. Its strengths are in conveying educational values to children and as a learning medium to build character education for children aged 12 years and under. To explain this phenomenon, the author employed the content analysis method and combined it with relevant data; those were strengthened by many research results and literature studies. Through this method, the author showed that Nussa and Rara movie shares Islamic value in each segment, such as the value of honesty, asking for prayers on time, respecting neighbors, and so on. The author tried to see how every figure, especially Umma as Nussa and Rara’s mother, explains and exemplifies how to be a good Muslim. Through this article, it could be concluded that films are not always judged to have a negative impact on the audience. Even films can contribute as a medium for education and dissemination of Islamic da'wah. Besides, through films, it can also contribute to building good character for children under 12 years of age. Some learning methods that can be used are the many steps or methods that can be planted in children, such as the habituation and storytelling methods. These methods can be used to apply the values of faith, moral values, and worship values. Thus, this article greatly contributes to enriching academic discourse related to character learning for children under 12 years of age. This article concluded that the Nussa and Rara cartoon film really strives to spread Islamic da'wah and build children's character from an early age with daily customs and begin to familiarize children to apply the values of Islamic teachings perfectly.

Education is the learning of knowledge, the skills of every person that are passed down from generation to generation for one generation. But in education, it is also essential to learn the formation of good character. In this relevant research, especially those that raise Folklore as the object of study, only a few people know about it. Folklore is a medium that can use as a means of forming positive characters in children through moral values and character education contained in the story. This type of research is qualitative descriptive obtained, analyzed, and analyzed in writing to describe the moral values and character building contained in the Toba Batak folklore "Sigale-gale." Data collection was carried out by reading the Sigale-gale folklore text repeatedly and identifying the data in the form of keywords related to the values forming the characters in the story. Furthermore, the collected data were analyzed using content analysis techniques. The results showed that there were four character-forming values in the Sigale-gale Folklore; namely hard work, curious, friendly, and wise.
