The descriptive survey method was used in the research. To achieve the goal of the research, a questionnaire was prepared regarding the degree of use of smartphones in the learning process which is consisted of 20 paragraphs. The research sample was the female students at the University of Hail. It is found that the overall degree is medium as the arithmetic average is 3.34 with a standard deviation of 0.28. It was concluded that students are prodigiously interested in reviewing the university sites. Moreover, it was found that students are immensely skilled in using smartphones for the exchange of electronic messages and the exchange of information. However, they are less interested in submitting electronic assignments. Few students are watching educational presentations on smartphones because of their small size screens and high drainage from the batteries. Therefore, it is highly recommended to conduct experimental studies showing the importance of using the smartphone.

This study aimed at investigating the degree of using social media in the educational process by the teachers of the upper-primary stage in Jordan from teacher’s perspective. The survey method used in this study is the descriptive method. The data were collected using a questionnaire and was developed to achieve the objectives of the study. The population of the study includes 37703 teachers of the upper primary stage in governmental and private schools, supervised by the Ministry of Education in Jordan for the academic year (2016/2017). The study sample consisted of 2133 teachers (766 male teachers and 1367 female teachers) who were randomly selected according to the stratified random sampling. The first question was answered by calculating the mean and the standard deviations of the sample individual’s responses based on the items of the questionnaire related to the degree of using social media in the educational process in the upper primary stage in Jordan. In answering question one, the mean and the standard deviations of the responses of the sample individuals were calculated on the questionnaire based on the degree of using social media in the educational process in the upper primary stage in Jordan in general, and also for each dimension of the study questionnaire. Results of question one showed that the degree of using social media means by the teachers of upper primary stage in Jordan was low. In answering question two, the significant statistical differences (α = 0.05) based on the degree of using social media in the educational process by the teachers of the upper primary stage in Jordan due to their gender, school type, and academic qualification were examined through calculated means, standard deviations, the independent samples t-test, and one way analysis of variance (ANOVA). Results of question two showed that there are statistically significant differences at α = 0.05 on the scores of the respondents in the study sample. This, however, can be seen in terms of the dimensions of the degree of using social media by teachers of upper primary stage in educational process in Jordan, for the whole tool, due to gender in favor of males. The differences were in the dimension of knowledge, skills, and value for males. In terms of the social dimension, the differences were in favor of females. There are no statistically significant differences at α = 0.05 on the degrees of the respondents to the study sample on the dimensions of the use of social media by teachers of upper primary stage in educational process in Jordan, and based on the degree of overall tool, according to school type variable (governmental, private). In the light of the study results, a number of recommendations were proposed, including enhancing the methods of the use of social media means in the educational process, and overcoming the obstacles that hinder the use of social media in the learning and teaching process.

Globalization processes along with a dynamic life inevitably set new challenges for universities. The content of educational programs should be oriented not only to meet the needs of society in the modern world, but also to be predicted for the future. The institution of higher education should be open to the needs of the labour market, innovations and public queries. When preparing a specialist in a particular field of knowledge, the university is supposed to lay the foundations for adoption of innovations, continuous education, etc. One of the means of realizing the set goals is the introduction of the practice-oriented training. The purpose of the research is to analyze the development of the introduction of the literary theater in the educational process of Boris Grinchenko University of Kyiv. For this purpose, the mission of the Center of Competences «Literary Theater», created at the Department of Ukrainian Literature and Comparative Studies of the Institute of Philology, has been presented; students’ expectations for conducting a series of practical classes at the Center have been studied by using the survey method; meaningful achievements of introduction of the elements of theater pedagogy into the educational process of the University College have been conceptualized; the experience of readings in the course «Theory of Mass Communication in Communication» has been presented. For studying practical experience, empirical methods of pedagogical research have been laid as a basis. The results of the questionnaire show that in the first year students prefer personal development rather than professional improvement. Most of the answers have to do with the fears students would like to overcome. That is why the work in the Center is designed in a way to facilitate the formation of not only professional competencies, but also interactive skills: organizational, communicative, perceptual, predictive, etc. As a result, it poses the effective implementation of the practice-oriented educational strategy of the institution. The project work has shown that it is important to take videos of performances and intermediate stages of work with the subsequent obligatory analyses of what has been shot by a camera. Given the experience of the University College in the preparation of theatrical excursions, it is worth considering the possibility of touring and festival performances of students as a source of experience in the formation of a specialist. Scenario reading of an unknown text by students is an optimal form of working with students of non-philological specialties. In most cases, staging is merely an element of a practical training; however, it plays its significant part in the building of professional competencies

Organizational climate, that is, the atmosphere surrounding an organization, unites features with individual, organizational, and environmental characteristics that affect the behaviors of individuals within the organization. Burnout is accepted as a syndrome that often occurs in people who work together with others. Faculty members in universities are potential burnout candidates due to their relationships with many students, employees, and administrators. To reduce burnout of the faculty members, it is crucial to maintain a healthy organizational climate. It is also projected that discrepancies in organizational climate can manifest differently between public and private universities. So, the purpose of this study is to examine the effect of organizational climate on the burnout of faculty members at both state and private universities. By using the survey method, 984 responses were collected from faculty members. A covariance-based structural equation modeling was constructed to test the reliability and validity of both the measurement and the structural model. The results of the study supported the hypotheses mostly and indicated that all dimensions of organizational climate negatively influenced faculty members’ emotional exhaustion. While the balanced workload, clarity of task, cohesion, and the ethical dimensions within the organizational climate produced a negative effect on the depersonalization of faculty members, the lack of clarity of task and ethical dimensions contributed negatively to the diminished personal accomplishment. In addition, the study demonstrated that state university faculty members having cohesion dimension of organizational climate were less likely to be exhausted emotionally, whereas cohesion among private university faculty members negatively influenced the depersonalization. Theoretical and practical implications regarding organizational climate dimensions and burnout levels of faculty members were discussed.

Based on institutional theory, the current study examines the relationship of coordination, job security, psychological safety, and coercive pressure with employees’ performance. Further, coercive pressure is treated as a boundary condition between coordination, job security, and psychological safety with employees’ performance. A survey method was used to collect data from 235 faculty members of higher education institutions (HEIs) in Pakistan. Study results show that there is a positive and significant relationship between job security and coordination with employees’ performance. The results also reveal that coercive pressure moderates job security, coordination, and psychological safety with employees’ performance. Implications for organizations and HEIs administration are discussed.
