The sample consisted of 100 housewives by using simple randam sampling technique. The relationship model between variables formulated in the theoretical model using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). The results showed that variations of the productivity of the people were directly affected positively by variations of motivation, skills, and marketing knowledge. Variations of marketing knowledge are directly affected positively by variations of motivation and skills. The tendency of the existing infrastructure is not in accordance with the needs of the community because it is top down. Therefore, this study aims to assess community participation in managing community-based sanitation. Studies conducted focusing on participatory processes and the level of community participation in the provision of sanitation in the village program Mangunharjo precisely in RT 03 and 04 RW I. The method used in this research is quantitative and qualitative. The level of community participation in the management of the sanitation program has high participation category that has meaning on the degree of power-sharing community which has occurred rights, responsibilities and authority between the community and government to participate. Meanwhile, at the stage of organizing the participation category includes medium category (tokensm) in which the wishes of the people has been discussed, but the decision rests with the government. It is influenced by the role of the Village and Chairman of RT / RW is too dominant so that the public is not very enthusiastic in participating at the stage of organizing and resigned to the decision of the facilitator. Implementation of the program when viewed from the principle pelaksaaan almost matches that is about 80%, planning, implementation, and evaluation is fully in accordance with the principle only at the stage of organizing has obstacles described earlier which resulted in incompatibility in principle with the implementation of the program. That there is a relationship between the facilitator and community involvement, if the facilitator can perform their duties well as explaining the program well and excessive interference, then the public will enthusiastically participate. The Government needs to show its commitment in the implementation of the provision of community-based sanitation program (PSBM) in terms of giving people an opportunity to participate fully in sanitation management stages.

Limbung Village Sungai Raya Subdistrict Kubu Raya Regency is one of the areas with a lot of peat so it is a fire-prone area. This is because the people there are still dependent on nature, no wonderland clearing is often done by burning. Fire prevention efforts in the village of Limbung carried out by Manggala Agni and MPA have not been running effectively and efficiently because there is still burning land, especially during the dry season. For prevention efforts that are expected to run effectively and efficiently, direct community participation is also needed to support prevention before more widespread fires occur. This study aims to determine the relationship of community participation in combating forest and land fires with a cosmopolitan level, level of knowledge and level of dependence on the land. This study used a survey method with interview techniques. The analysis used is descriptive analysis and Kendall Tau correlation inferential analysis. The number of samples taken was 96 people using the Slovin formula and the sampling was done by purposive sampling technique. The results showed a total score of 2852 participation and at the level of partnership according to Arnstein's theory, the level of participants tended to be low, and there were no significant differences in participation with the level of knowledge, the level of cosmopolitan and the level of dependence on the land.Keyword: community, fires, forest, land, participation.

We proposed that a moderator, others' similarity, would determine the impact of high participation rates of others on an individual's charitable behavior, and aimed to show that this moderator would work through the diffusion of responsibility motive. Participants (N = 152 undergraduate students) completed measures of charitable behavior and diffusion of responsibility, after being assigned to 1 of 2 conditions where a set percentage of other students (manipulated as either similar undergraduate students or dissimilar graduate students) were stated to have already donated to a charitable campaign (high contribution condition = 70% participation, low contribution condition = 30% participation). Our results showed that the high participation rate of others increased an individual's charitable behavior when the others in question were similar to that individual, but not when the others were dissimilar. In addition, the high rate of participation by others increased the diffusion of responsibility motive when the others in question were dissimilar to that individual, leading to a negative effect on that individual's charitable behavior.

The 2015 Omani Shura Council elections came amidst a crucial time with down economic trend and continuing uncertainty over succession. Regular council elections are an important takeaway but declining interests among voters reflected in a sharp fall in turnout. In fact, the 2011 elections had recorded a high participation rate due to the Arab Spring. Issues such as corruption, job creation, and improvement of the living standard were most important as was the case in 2011. While one finds numerous changes and evolution of the electoral process, including use of technology and participation of women, the democratization process remains slow and uncertain.

The purpose of this study was to assess the influence of selected community based factors on girls’ participation rate in public day secondary schools in Naivasha Sub-County, Kenya. Ex-post facto research design was used in the study. A total of 130 respondents (constituting 26 principals and 104 teachers) from 26 schools were randomly sampled for the study. All the targeted respondents participated in the study giving a response rate of 100%. Simple random sampling technique was used to sample the respondents for the study. Data was collected through a self-administered questionnaire where two sets of questionnaires were developed for data collection; one for principals and the other for class teachers. Descriptive statistics such as means, percentages and frequencies were used to analyze the data while inferential statistics such as simple regression analysis was used to determine the predictive power of community factors on girls’ participation in school. The study found that three community-level risk factors that had the most negative effect on girls’ participation in public day secondary schools in the study area including: negative peer influence in the community, high incidences of teenage pregnancies and poverty in the community. Drawing from the computed R2 value (R2 = .406), the study revealed that the selected community factors were lowering the rate of girls participation in public day secondary schools by almost 41%. The study concluded that prevalence of the three community level factors such as: high incidence of teenage pregnancies and poverty had great influence on girls’ participation and progression in public day secondary schools in the study area. It was recommended that school, family and community partnerships would be appropriate in minimizing the effect of community level factor on girls’ participation in schools.
