Seizures are an important and most common disease that affects the human body and are also caused to other neurological manifestations. Most of the people affected in the world currently are middle-aged and are suffering from many brain diseases. 50million people are affected due to epilepsy and convulsions around the world. There are many drugs that helpful and potent against epilepsy. As discussed, they have side effects, and the only solution to avoid those effects is the investigation of herbal sources for their anti-epileptic activity. One of those potent herbs is Nardostachys jatamansi. It was investigated and proved for its anti-epileptic property. The current research was planned to compare the effects of different extracts on the anti-epileptic property. In the process, double distilled water, methanol, ethanol and acetone were used as an extraction medium, and the extracts were tested for its property. Out of all the extracts, aqueous and methanol extracts showed a better activity compared with other extracts and standard drug, Diazepam.

Convulsions and seizures are the major neurological conditions that are the symptoms of brain diseases like brain stroke, aneurysm and other oxidative brain damage. This affects most of the people in the world as a symptom of other diseases and as a disorder on its own. Herbs are found to be the alternatives of the synthetic drugs that cause the side effects and are common in synthetic drugs as discussed above. So herbal extracts are safe and potent and do not contain or contain a very less amount of side effects. So, they can be used effectively in treating many conditions, including epilepsy. Most of the herbs show their potency by exhibiting the antioxidant activity. Since the oxidative free radicals that are generated in the brain are the cause of disturbance in the protective enzymes in the brain, the estimation of the protective enzymes in the brain during epilepsy. This work was carried out to prepare an effective polyherbal syrup to treat epilepsy effectively. The formulation was tested in 2 doses of 100 and 200mg, and they are also investigated for the activity to normal the enzymes that are in the brain, which help to fight the free radicals. From this, it can be advocated that the herbs in the syrup helped the formulation's antioxidant activity to attribute to the anti-epileptic activity in experimental animals.

The helplessness of newborn babies is very endearing. They can just about breathe unaided, but they are otherwise entirely unadapted and dependent. Babies can barely see, let alone walk or talk. Few animals come into the world so unprepared, and no other species is as dependent on learning as human beings are. Elephant calves, for instance, can stand up by themselves within a few minutes of being born. Most animals are similarly “preprogrammed.” Female elephants carry their young for no fewer than 22 months, whereas we humans have to go on investing in our offspring long after they are born. Children need years of adult protection. They guzzle fuel, too; their brains consume fully 60 percent of the newborn’s total energy intake. In the first year of life, the infant’s head buzzes with activity as neurons grow in size and complexity and form their innumerable interconnections. The way the brain develops is the subject of the next chapter (chapter 5.2). Here we concentrate on the way we are educated from the first day on. There is virtually no difference between Inuits and Australian aborigines in terms of their ability—at opposite ends of the earth and in climates that are utterly different—to bear children successfully. Other animal species are far more closely interrelated with their environment. Other primates have evolved to occupy a limited biotope determined by food and climate. Humans are much more universal. Every human child has an equal chance of survival wherever they are born. As a species, we delay our maturation and adaptation until after birth, which makes the inequality of subsequent human development all the more acute. Someone who is born in Mali or Burkina Faso is unlikely ever to learn to read. A person whose father lives in Oxford, by contrast, might have spoken his or her first words of Latin at an early age. Inuit and aboriginal babies may be born equally, but their chances begin to diverge the moment they start learning how to live. We are not shaped by our inborn nature but by the culture that is impressed upon us by the people with whom we grow up.

Epilepsy is the fouth most common brain disorder in the world and about 65 million of the global population are victims. Sadly, the currently available conventional drugs are riddled with numerous side effects, expensive and have not demonstrated adequate capacity in managing this disorder. Hence, the need for safer, cheaper and more effective therapy. This study is aimed at investigating the anticonvulsant activity of the ethanol leaf extract of Uvaria afzelii. Twenty-five (25) mice were randomly allotted to five different groups of five mice each. The animals were treated orally with 100, 200 and 400 mg/kg of the extract respectively and 10 ml/kg of distilled water. The standard group received diazepam (5 mg/kg, i.m). Both strychnine (4 mg/kg, i.p) and picrotoxin (5mg/kg, i.p.) were used to induce convulsion 30 minutes post administration of extract and distilled water, and 15 minutes for standard drug. The onset and duration of convulsion for each mouse were recorded. Mice that did not convulse within 30 min of strychnine and picrotoxin injection were considered protected. The extract (400 mg/kg) significantly (P<0.01) delayed the onset of convulsion with significant reduction (P<0.05) in the duration of seizures induced by picrotoxin with  20% mortality. In the strychnine-induced test, U. afzelii (200 & 400 mg/kg) significantly delayed (p<0.001, 0.0001) the onset of convulsion with mortality of about 40%. Preliminary phytochemical screening revealed the presence of tannins, alkaloids, flavonoids, phenols and saponin. The findings in this study show that the ethanol leaf extract of Uvaria afzelii possesses anticonvulsant activity.

Ulcers are one of the dreadful and technically known as Peptic Ulcer Disease (PU Disease). Around 10million people around the world are suffering from the disease, and the majority of the people are about 20-50 years of age. This is not a dangerous disease on its own. Still, the ulcers are responsible for the resulting in other diseases like indigestion stomach pain etc. there are various reasons for the causation of ulcer. They are excessive use of pain killers and anti-inflammatory drugs, malnutrition, and unhealthy food habits, stress and steroids. Almost half of the world population relies on herbs for the treatment, and the major sources of the chemical leads that treat diseases are in the medicinal plants only. Many plants have been investigated and reported for their potential antiulcer benefits and are published too for that. The plant parts of Malvastrum tricuspidatum were extracted using distilled water and were investigated for the antiulcer activity in 3 doses like 100,200 and 400mg. The Extract at a higher dose showed better activity than other lower doses. The activity was compared with the standard drug and showed a significantly better activity that the standard and other doses of Extract too.

PUD is the most common disease that affects a majority of the population in the world and young people being the most affected out of all the ulcer patients. This disease involves a large number of causes like NSAID, malnutrition and deficiency, unhealthy lifestyles like chronic smoking and stress. In recent years, a rapid progressive understanding had been made concerning the mechanism of ulcers and its treatment protocols. Given the side effects of the available synthetic drugs, it calls for an investigation of newer medications which are of herbal origins. As per the literature, survey says Tectona grandis ethanol extract has been proved to show the anti-ulcer activity and considering the solubility and extractive capabilities of methanol over ethanol; the current research was performed to determine the anti-ulcer potency of methanol extract of Tectona roots. The results showed that Tectona methanol extract is way more efficient in treating ulcers in comparison to the standard drug omeprazole.

This study deals with Universal Values and Muslim Democracy. This essay draws upon speeches that he gave at the New York Democ- racy Forum in December 2005 and the Assembly of the World Movement for Democracy in Istanbul in April 2006. The emergence of Muslim democracies is something significant and worthy of our attention. Yet with the clear exceptions of Indonesia and Turkey, the Muslim world today is a place where autocracies and dictatorships of various shades and degrees continue their parasitic hold on the people, gnawing away at their newfound freedoms. It concludes that the human desire to be free and to lead a dignified life is universal. So is the abhorrence of despotism and oppression. These are passions that motivate not only Muslims but people from all civilizations.

Relevance.A neoplasm originated from the myelonic sheath of the nerve trunk is called neurinoma or neurilemmoma, neurinoma, schwannoglioma, schwannoma. This tumor can cause compression and dysfunction of adjacent tissues and organs. The most common are the auditory nerve neurinomas (1 case per 100 000 population per year), the brain and spinal cord neurinomas are rare. In the world literature, there is no information on the occurrences of this tumor in the pelvic region. Description.Presented below is a clinical observation of a 30-year-old patient who was scheduled for myomectomy. During laparoscopy, an unusual tumor of the small pelvis was found and radically removed. A morphological study allowed to identify the remote neoplasm as a neuroma. Conclusion. The presented practical case shows that any tumor can hide under a clinical mask of another disease. The qualification of the doctor performing laparoscopic myomectomy should be sufficient to carry out, if necessary, another surgical volume.
