Abstract Low motivation of teachers in implementing authentic assessment becomes the basis for IbM team to carry out extension activities. Authentic assessment has actually been around a long time, but this issue arose when the curriculum was launched in 2013. During this time, most of the teachers at school in the field only make an assessment test course, not many people touched assessment tests that are written. Through activities of IbM Authentic Assessment Preparation Training for Teachers of Pesantren Darul Fikri Bawen, participants are expected to conduct a written assessment, performance assessment, product assessment projects, portfolio assessment, and manage the mark using computer-based process. Prior to socialization, teachers must first take pretest and post test. Pre test shows an average score of 89.65 while the average of post-test scores shows 97.6. During the activities, the participants felt helped and gave a positive response to organized similar activities. Keywords: Preparation, Assessment Authentic, Darul Fikri Boarding School Teacher

This study was conducted to know whether there is a differencein students’ achievement in reading comprehension through the use of computer-based reading method at the eighth-grade students of Junior High School 13 Banjarmasin, Indonesia. The design used is a quasi-experimental with purposive sampling technique. Sixty students of Junior High School 13 Banjarmasin were used as the samples. 8-E was chosen as the experimental group and was taught by using computer-based reading in three meetings, while 8-F was chosen as the control group and was taught without using computer-based reading in three meetings. Three instruments were used to gather the data, they are documentation, observation, and tests. The results showed that both groups gained change in their achievements. From the calculation result, the experimental group got the average score of 53.33 in pre-test and 63.33 in post-test. The control group got average score 47 in pre-test and 49.5 in post-test. After conducting a t-test, it was revealed that the calculated t-value was greater than t-table (3.597 > 2.00) at the significance level 0.05. Thus, there are different achievement between the experimental group and the control group. Therefore, it can be concluded that the proper use of computer-based reading can upgrade students’ reading comprehension ability. It is suggested to teachers to consider the use computer-based reading as the method of teaching reading comprehension.

The demands of learning and teaching and learning activities that menoton judged disproportionate so as to make students feel burdened, bored and saturated. Learning saturation is defined as physical, emotional, and mental fatigue experienced by students characterized by decreased motivation and interest in student learning, which can result in decreased student learning achievement. The saturation of learning occurs because the learning process of students is done continuously and for a long time but does not get success. The purpose of this study is to test the effectiveness of ice breaking to reduce the saturation of students' learning. The research uses quantitative approach with quasi experimental design non equivalent pretest post test control group. The research sample was grade VIII.1 MTsN 2 Pasaman students, which is 41 people. The results showed that there was a decrease in the average score of student saturation of 19.07. A significant change in learning saturation score of 15.31%. Recommendations to teachers in order to creatively create an interesting and fun learning atmosphere, one of which is by applying ice breaking games in the learning process so that the learning process becomes more optimal.

The purpose of this research was to reveal the level of implementation of authentic assessment in the pragmatics course at the English Education Department of a university. Discrepancy Evaluation Model (DEM) was used. The instruments were questionnaire, documentation, and observation. The result of the research shows that respectively, the effectiveness of definition, installation, process, and production stages in logits are -0.06, -0.14, 0.45, and 0.02 on its aspect of the assessment methods’ effectiveness in uncovering students’ ability. Such values indicate that the level of implementation fell respectively into ‘very high’,’high’, ‘low’, and ‘very low’ categories. The students’ success rate is in ‘very high’ category with the average score of 3.22. However, the overall implementation of the authentic assessment fell into a ‘low’ category with the average score of 0.06. Discrepancies leading to such a low implementation are the unavailability of the assessment scheme, that of scoring rubric, minimal (only 54.54%) diversification of assessment methods, infrequency of the lecturer’s feedback on the students’ academic achievement, and the non-use of portfolio assessment.

The assessment done focused on authentic assessment which is sought to assess the students' competence in terms of attitude, knowledge and skill. This research is classified into descriptive study. This research applied concurrent embedded models in which qualitative and quantitative models were applied disproportionately. The results of the research indicated that the integrated thematic learning assessment for the implementation of 2013 Curriculum at lower level Elementary Schools in Kabupaten 50 Kota had been done fairly well. The average score obtained before mentoring activities were done was 39,06 (low) while that after mentoring activities were done was 64,78 (quite good). Based on the result, it was concluded that the authentic assessment could be done during the learning process (process assessment) and after the learning process was done (product assessment). Nevertheless, it should be realized that, in Elementary School level, building the students' characters is more crucial than developing their academic ability.

This research is to determine the effect of realistic mathematical approach on students’ learning motivation. The research method is pre-experiment of one group pretest posttest design. This study was conducted with 34 fifth grade students from a public school in Pekanbaru, Indonesia. The results indicate that students’ learning motivation significantly increases. Among six indicators measuring students’ learning motivation, the indicator of interesting activities in learning is the most increase, from 80.76% in pre-test to 86.40% in post-test. The average score of pretest in form of students’ learning motivation questionnaire before applying treatment was 90.56 while score posttest after treatment was 95,09 and the results of the research hypotheses using the comparative t-test tcount (6.997) > ttable (2.039). This means that there is an effect of applying the realistic mathematical approach to students’ learning motivation.
