A career as a process that individuals will undertake in the future, needs to be carefully prepared since they are at the SMA / SMK education level. Through careful career planning, students can easily make the right decisions about their careers. As for the obstacles that occur, students cannot make their own career decisions which are caused by low self-efficacy/self-confidence. The purpose of this study is to explain the role of counseling guidance services in developing student self-efficacy in achieving career decisions. This type of research is field research with a qualitative approach and a descriptive-analytical method. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation and interviews. Symptoms of low self-efficacy experienced by students are 1) difficulty to make career decisions, 2) not confident in their career plans, 3) worry that they are not absorbed in the world of work. Group guidance services are carried out in 4 stages, namely the initial stage, the transition stage, the activity stage, and the final stage. The results of the counseling service show that students have good self-efficacy, can make career decisions, are confident, and do not experience worries about their career plans.

Problems that are often encountered in career planning are students who choose the wrong career because they are forced to follow the wishes of their parents so that careers that are in accordance with the child's wishes, talents, and abilities are ignored. The intervention of parents who tend to dominate their desires in children's studies is considered the right decision, while children are considered still unable to determine attitudes and make decisions to plan their careers. Some of the difficulties that arise during the job search process often occur because individuals do not have a clear career planning direction. In addition, job providers are also more selective in finding and selecting prospective employees. The purpose of this study is to determine whether the use of career tree-based information services can improve students' understanding of career planning or not. This study uses quantitative research with a Quasi-Experimental design experimental research method. The Quasi-Experimental form used in this study is the Pretest Posttest Group Design with a sample of 35 people. The instrument used in this study used a Likert scale model. The results showed that career tree-based information services can improve students' understanding of career plans. Students can understand clearly and with a strong passion to determine their own career by referring to various information obtained through the career

BackgroundResidency is an important time for career planning. Little is known about how trainees make career decisions during this formative period.ObjectiveThe objective of this study was to understand whether ‘design thinking’ activities help to inform Internal Medicine–Paediatrics (Med-Peds) residents’ career decisions.MethodsWe performed a cross-sectional survey of a national sample of fourth-year Med-Peds residents in May–July 2019 covering intended career, helpfulness of ‘life design’ strategies used to inform career decision and confidence with intended career plans. Bivariate analyses were performed to evaluate associations between used strategies and confidence with career plans.ResultsA total of 86/145 (59%) of residents responded to the survey. The most helpful activities for clarifying career decisions were immersive exposure to the career during residency, and reflecting on compatibility of careers with their views of life and work. Finding the right mentor was associated with higher confidence in one’s intended career path (p<0.05). There were no significant differences with confidence in intended career plan by gender or career path. Career decisions made during the first 2 years of residency were associated with higher confidence than those made prior to or in the second half of residency (p=0.01 and p=0.004).ConclusionThis national survey of graduating Med-Peds residents reveals that proactive life design strategies were helpful in bringing clarity to their decision and were associated with higher confidence in intended career plans. These data should be of interest to residency training programmes in their efforts to support trainees with their career decisions.

This article aims to examine the realm of planting and character development for children with disabilities in learning Islamic religious education at SD NU Sleman. This study is a field research with a descriptive qualitative approach. Data analysis techniques were carried out using the Spradley model, namely data analysis carried out in conjunction with data collection consisting of domain analysis, taxonomic analysis, compound analysis, and data analysis. The results of this study indicate that character planting must be built for children with disabilities in NU Elementary School, namely about independence, self-acceptance and social, and self-confidence, especially in school. By planting this character, disabled participants did not get negative perceptions by other normal students. Instead normal students appreciate and admire the persistence of learning disabled students. NU Elementary School has an integrated curriculum in PAI learning so that the formation of the akhlaqul karimah character is increasingly realized. Students with disabilities or those with other special needs have the right to receive the same Islamic education despite the limitations. In determining the material, objectives, and methods of learning Islam, religious teachers consider the ability, depth of material, methods, and time available.

Career practitioners have long observed that dysfunctional (negative) career beliefs contribute heavily to the difficulty many college students have in making rational career decisions. This study attempts to measure the impact that a career planning course can have on reducing dysfunctional career thoughts, and thereby increasing the ability of students to focus their career plans. The Career Thoughts Inventory (CTI) was used to assess dysfunctional career thinking before and after students’ participation in a three credit hour career planning course. Statistical analyses clearly indicate that dysfunctional career thoughts are significantly reduced through application of an effective career planning course.

Teaching and learning activities is a conscious activity and aims. Therefore, for these activities can be run well and achieve the expected goals, it must be done with the strategy or the right learning approach .. The purpose of this study were: 1) to describe the influence of Self-Concept on the results of studying chemistry at Class XI MA Pacet Mojokerto. 2) Describe the effect of self-efficacy on Learning outcomes chemistry in Class XI MA Pacet Mojokerto 3) Describe the effect of motivation on Learning outcomes chemistry in Class XI MA Pacet Mojokerto 4) Describe the relationship Self-concept, self-efficacy and motivation to Results studied chemistry at Class XI MA Pacet Mojokerto. From the results of the analysis can be summarized as follows: 1) There is a significant relationship between self-concept of the Learning outcomes chemistry inquiry model. T test against self-concept variables (X1) obtained regression coefficient (B) 0.440 (44.0%), coefficient (Beta) 0.091, tcount of 0.378 with significance 0.006 t. Because of the significance of t less than 5% (0.007 <0.05), the Nil Hypothesis (H0) is rejected and working hypothesis (Hi) is received. 2) There is a significant relationship between self-efficacy toward chemistry Learning outcomes inquiry model. T test for Self-efficacy variable (X2) obtained regression coefficient (B) 0.329 (32.9%), coefficient (Beta) 0.124, tcount of 0.436 with a significance of 0.009 t. Because of the significance of t less than 5% (0.008 <0.05), the Nil Hypothesis (H0) is rejected and working hypothesis (Hi) is received. 3) There is a significant relationship between motivation to learn chemistry results inquiry model. T test for motivation variable (X3) obtained regression coefficient (B) 0.130 (13.0%), coefficient (Beta) 0.065, tcount of 0.230 with a significance of 0.001 t. Because of the significance of t less than 5% (0.001 <0.05), the Nil Hypothesis (H0) is rejected and working hypothesis (Hi) received 4) From the calculation results obtained Fhitung value 2,249 (significance F = 0.001). So Fhitung> F table (2,249> 2:03) or Sig F <5% (0.001 <0.05). It means that together independent variables consisting of variable self-concept (X1), Self-efficacy (X2), motivation (X3) simultaneously to variable results of studying chemistry (Y).

In the discipline of Islamic law research, strong proofing and clear Istinbat method are key pillars in the construction of Islamic law based on the application of the science of usul al-fiqh and maqasid al-shari'ah. However, what happens at the state of Johor’s fatwa institution is the opposite. The fatwa research methods applied by the Fatwa Committee of Johor in resolving current fatwa issues is not based on the right and true discipline of Islamic law research. In fact, current inputs related to fatwa issues are not explicitly stated in the method of determining the law either in the form of reality or scientifically verified. Therefore, this paper will discuss the fatwa procedures undertaken by the Fatwa Committee of Johor based on the methods applied in resolving current issues. The research methodology adopted is library and interview methods. This study shows that fatwa management and production in the state of Johor is placed under the jurisdiction of the Mufti of Johor’s Department. The methods adopted by the Fatwa Committee of Johor covers two methods, namely: internal research methods including literature review through the application of original source and proofs based on syarak. Second: field research method that includes an external review or going to the location of study such as conducting observation, questionnaires and interviews including referrals to specialists of different fields. Maslahah and mafsdah consideration are also implemented by the Fatwa Committee in every fatwa decision based on the standard that meets the interests of maqasid al-shari'ah. Keywords: Metode, fatwa, istinbat, usul al-fiqh, maqasid al-shari’ah ABSTRAK Dalam disiplin penyelidikan hukum Islam, kekuatan pendalilan dan kaedah istinbat yang jelas merupakan tunggak utama dalam pembinaan hukum Islam berasaskan kepada aplikasi ilmu usul al-fiqh dan maqasid al-shari’ah. Namun begitu, apa yang berlaku di institusi fatwa negeri Johor adalah sebaliknya. Kaedah penyelidikan fatwa yang diaplikasi oleh Jawatankuasa Fatwa Negeri Johor dalam menyelesaikan isu fatwa semasa tidak berasaskan kepada disiplin penyelidikan hukum Islam yang tepat dan sebenar. Malahan input-input semasa yang berkaitan dengan isu fatwa juga tidak dinyatakan secara jelas dalam kaedah penentuan hukum sama ada dalam bentuk realiti yang berlaku atau pembuktian secara saintifik. Justeru, kertas kerja ini akan membincangkan prosedur fatwa Jawatankuasa Fatwa Negeri Johor berdasarkan metode-metode yang diaplikasi dalam menyelesaikan isu-isu yang bersifat semasa. Metodologi kajian yang digunakan dalam kajian ini adalah melalui metode perpustakaan dan metode lapangan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahawa pengurusan dan pengeluaran fatwa di negeri Johor hanya terletak di bawah bidang kuasa Jabatan Mufti Johor. Metode fatwa yang diamalkan oleh Jawatankuasa Fatwa Negeri Johor merangkumi dua metode iaitu pertama, kaedah penyelidikan dalaman yang merangkumi kajian kepustakaan menerusi pengaplikasian dari sumber asas dan dalil-dalil syarak. Kedua, kaedah penyelidikan lapangan yang meliputi kajian luaran atau turun ke lokasi kajian seperti observasi, soal selidik dan temubual dan rujukan kepada pakar dalam bidang yang berlainan. Pertimbangan maslahah dan mafsdah juga dimplementasikan oleh Jawatankuasa Fatwa dalam setiap keputusan fatwanya berasaskan standard yang menepati kepentingan maqasid al-shari’ah. This article discusses securing the right to respect for one's own religion, identity, and culture. However, it confronts them with penitentiary practice in Polish organizational and legal conditions. There emerges an interesting space for analysing different tendencies to uniformize the conditions of punishment and protection of individualization. Not only are procedural issues involved, but, above all, the mentality and attitudes presented by penitentiary officers. The deliberations are focused on a kind of conflict between yielding under the demands of a different culture and the resistance of prison staff against respecting them. Presented conclusions are the results of field research among penitentiary officers in Poland, but they all start a discussion on the creation of penitentiary policy in this area, especially in countries with poor experience in working with Muslims.

Background: The residents who pass exit fellowship examination in few attempts adopt certain strategies for early success. The lived experiences of residents passing FCPS final examination in few attempts, barriers to success and strategies to overcome those barriers were studied. Participants and methodology: This phenomenological research study was conducted at Services Hospital, Lahore, Pakistan from June 2015 to May 2017. Purposeful snowball sampling was done. Eleven residents who passed their Final FCPS examination in few attempts, in the last 15 years were included in the study. Semi-structured open-ended interview of the residents was audio-recorded and transcribed. Three themes of helpful factors, barriers encountered and suggestions to overcome those barriers to get through the final FCPS examination and the emerging sub-themes were analyzed and textural and structural description were assigned. Results: Three themes were based on the aim of study and their related emerging sub-themes were found. The helpful factors included self-directed learning, peer assisted learning, interactive educational environment, rehearsal and self-determination. Barriers encountered were related to learning difficulties, competing responsibilities and physical and emotional burnout. Lastly, suggestions to overcome the barriers were use of multiple technology based learning strategies, developing self-confidence and self-efficacy together with prioritization of emotional and physical wellbeing. Conclusions: This study found that self-regulation and internal motivation were important strategies for success in the FCPS exit examination. Barriers can be overcome through technology based learning and increased self-efficacy and prioritizing physical and emotional wellbeing.

Substance abuse researchers identify self-efficacy and group cohesion as important components in alcohol and other drug-dependency treatment. Objectives: The purpose of this single-group, pretest–posttest study is to explore the therapeutic value of a challenge course intervention on the self-efficacy and group cohesion of nine chemically dependent, adult females. Methods: Data were collected using two validated outcome measures administered before and after the intervention. Focus groups provided insight into the experiences of participants and were examined using manifest and latent theme analysis. Results: Findings indicate statistically significant improvements on both outcome measures with medium to large effect sizes. Several themes were identified including group unity, trust, interpersonal growth, and self-confidence. Conclusions: Suggestions for practice and future research are provided.
