Purpose. Identification patterns of evolution of the design image of the cowboy in the crisis of masculinity in popular culture during the twentieth century and its impact on modern fashion trends. Methodology. Literary-analytical and comparative methods of research of the original source are used to determine the aesthetic, design and artistic characteristics of the image; stylistic and compositional analysis of modern fashion trends based on the adaptation of the design characteristics of the image of a cowboy in the design of the suit is committed. Results.It is established that the image and symbol of the cowboy in world culture has a significant impact on the trends of men's and women's fashion both during the twentieth century and today. This influence is due to a number of social, economic and environmental factors, the coherence of which creates an aesthetic and figurative need to return the image of the cowboy as a role model in society and as a symbol in culture, art and design. The principles of introduction of artistic and compositional components of the image of a cowboy in modern collections of a suit in a segment of mass fashion are characterized. The means of spreading the idea of smart consumerism and renovation of textiles in the design of fashionable clothes are determined. Based on the pre-project analysis, the figurative and artistic interest in the adaptation of the properties of clothing in the style of "western" to the formation of the individual wardrobe of the consumer is determined. The design concept is formed and the structure of the corresponding collection for wide layers of consumers of clothes as a product of fashion is developed. The scientific novelty. Identification of the main design and artistic characteristics of the historical costume of the Wild West and their transformation in the development of image-compositional structure of the costume in modern fashion. The elements of sign-information stylistics of this project image are revealed and their influence on modern fashion tendencies in both men's and women's fashion is determined. Approaches to the design and artistic modeling of women's clothing as a fashion product based on the renovation of textile products are identified. The practical value. The significance is due to the possibility of using the results of research in the design of clothing for men and women in retro and eco-style "western", taking into account current fashion trends, as well as the ability to predict the further development of the cowboy image in mass culture and its influence on fashion trends

Di yunge is a group of American Symbolist Yiddish writers and critics that achieved prominence during the first two decades of the twentieth century and remained active through the mid-century. The name of the group is Yiddish for ‘the young ones’, referencing not only the youth of its founding members but also the sense of newness and dramatic change that they intended to bring to Yiddish literature of the period. The group was made up largely of Eastern European immigrants to the United States who had experienced the failed Russian Revolution of 1905 and the pogroms that followed in its wake. These young writers arrived in America disillusioned with socialist and nationalist politics and instead sought out new forms of cultural expression that focused on artistic achievement in Yiddish rather than any political purpose. Taking European and Russian forms of Symbolism as models, Di yunge is the first movement in Yiddish literature to emphasize the importance of the aesthetic, focusing on the poetic potential of the everyday and on the inner life of the individual writer. Di yunge was comprised of several of the most important Yiddish writers of the twentieth century, including the poets Mani Leib, H. Leivick, Zishe Landau, I.J. Schwartz, Yoysef Rolnik, and Moyshe-Leyb Halpern and the prose writers David Ignatoff, Joseph Opatoshu, Isaac Raboy, and Lamed Shapiro. Members of Di yunge were among the first to infuse Yiddish literature with the forms and themes of international modernism.

The purpose and tasks of the work are to analyze the contemporary Ukrainian mass culture in terms of its value and humanistic components, as well as the importance of cultural studies and Ukrainian studies in educational disciplines for the formation of a holistic worldview of modern youth.Analysis of research and publications. Scientists repeatedly turned to the problems of the role of spirituality in the formation of society and its culture. This problem is highlighted in the publications by O. Losev, V. Lytvyn, D. Likhachev, S. Avierintsev, M. Zakovych, I. Stepanenko and E. Kostyshyn.Experts see the main negative impact of mass culture on the quality approach, which determines mass culture through the market, because mass culture, from our point of view, is everything that is sold and used in mass demand.One of the most interesting studies on this issue was the work by the representatives of Frankfurt School M. Horkheimer and T. Adorno «Dialectics of Enlightenment» (1947), devoted to a detailed analysis of mass culture. Propaganda at all socio-cultural levels in the form is similar in both totalitarian and democratic countries. It is connected, according to the authors, with the direction of European enlightenment. The tendency to unify people is a manifestation of the influence of mass culture, from cinema to pop. Mass culture is a phenomenon whose existence is associated with commerce (accumulation in any form – this is the main feature of education), in general, the fact that it exists in this form is related to the direction of the history of civilization.Modern mass culture, with its externally attractive and easily assimilated ideas and symbols, appealing to the trends of modern fashion, becomes a standard of prestigious consumption, does not require intense reflection, allows you to relax, distract, not teach, but entertains, preaches hedonism as the main spiritual value. And as a consequence, there are socio-cultural risks: an active rejection of other people, which leads to the formation of indifference; cruelty as a character trait; increase of violent and mercenary crime; increase in the number of alcohol and drug addicts; anti-patriotism; indifference to the values of the family and as a result of social orphanhood and prostitution.Conclusions, perspectives of research. Thus, we can conclude that modern Ukrainian education is predominantly formed by the values of mass culture. Namely, according to the «Dialectic» by Horkheimer and Adorno, «semi-enlightenment becomes an objective spirit» of our modern society.It is concluded that only high-quality education can create the opposite of the onset of mass culture and the destruction of spirituality in our society. It is proved that only by realizing the importance of cultivating disciplines in the educational process and the spiritual upbringing of the nation, through educational reforms, humanitarian knowledge will gradually return to student audiences.Formation of youth occurs under the influence of social environment, culture, education and self-education. The optimal combination of these factors determines both the process of socialization itself and how successful it will be. In this context, one can see the leading role of education and upbringing. It turns out that the main task of modern education is to spread its influence on the development of spiritual culture of the individual, which eventually becomes a solid foundation for the formation of the individual. Such a subject requires both philosophical and humanitarian approaches in further integrated interdisciplinary research, since the availability of such research will provide the theoretical foundation for truly modern educational and personal development.

In ethics, when discussing problems of justice and a just social existence one question arises obviously: What is the normal case of the relation between I and you we start from? In moral philosophy, each position includes basic socio-anthropological convictions in that we understand the other, for example, primarily as competitor in the fight for essential resources or as a partner in communication. Thus, it is not the human being as isolated individual, or as specimen of the human species or socialised member of a historical society what needs to be understood. Instead, the individual in its relation to the other or others has been studied in phenomenology and the philosophy of dialogue of the twentieth century. In the following essay I focus on Martin Buber’s and Jean-Paul Sartre’s theories of intersubjectivity which I use in order to explore the meaning of recognition and disrespect for an individual. They offer a valuable contribution to questions of practical philosophy and the socio-philosophical diagnosis of our time.

Using spatial econometric techniques and local spatial statistics, this study explores the relationships between the real estate values in Tuscany with the individual perception of satisfaction by landscape types. The analysis includes the usual territorial variables such as proximity to urban centres and roads. The landscape values are measured through a sample of respondents who expressed their aesthetic-visual perceptions of different types of land use. Results from a multivariate local Geary highlight that house prices are not spatial independent and that between the variables included in the analysis there is mainly a positive correlation. Specifically, the findings demonstrate a significant spatial dependence in real estate prices. The aesthetic values influence the real estate price throughout more a spatial indirect effect rather than the direct effect. Practically, house prices in specific areas are more influenced by aspects such as proximity to essential services. The results seem to show to live close to highly aesthetic environments not in these environments. The results relating to the distance from the main roads, however, seem counterintuitive. This result probably depends on the evidence that these areas suffer from greater traffic jam or pollution or they are preferred for alternative uses such as for locating industrial plants or big shopping centres rather than residential use. Therefore, these effects decrease house prices.

Metacognitive skills refers to individual abilities for regulating and controlling learning behavior. Orientation, goal setting, planning, monitoring, and evaluation are manifestations of those skills. Given that metacognitive skills directly affect learning behavior, they are a strong predictor of learning performance. Students display a huge variation in metacognitive skillfulness, dependent on age and experience. In this article, metacognitive skills are considered to be an acquired program of self-instructions, that is, an orderly series of condition-action rules that contain conditional knowledge about when to apply which skill, and operational instructions for how to implement a particular skill. This notion has implications for effective metacognitive instruction in deficient students. Prior to instruction, on-line assessments of metacognitive skillfulness during actual task performance are indispensable for the identification of deficient students and for tailoring metacognitive instruction to the individual needs of students. Instruction should subsequently address what skill to perform when, why, and how (WWW&H), embedded within the context of a given task. Moreover, instruction should explicitly inform students about the benefits of applying metacognitive skills to make them exert the required effort. Finally, teachers may act as role model to students by including explicit metacognitive instruction in their lessons.

The Labour of Laziness in Twentieth-Century American Literature focuses on the issue of productivity, using the figure of laziness to negotiate the relation between the ethical and the aesthetic. This book argues that major twentieth-century American writers such as Gertrude Stein, Ernest Hemingway, John Barth, Donald Barthelme and David Foster Wallace provocatively challenge the ethos of productivity by filtering their ethical interventions through culturally stigmatised imagery of laziness. Ladyga argues that when the motif of laziness appears, it invariably reveals the underpinnings of an emerging value system at a given historical moment, while at the same time offering a glimpse into the strategies of rebelling against the status quo

The article emphasizes that the world around us sets its own requirements for the ability of a junior student to adapt to it, to his tolerant willingness to build constructive relationships with others. In reading lessons, which aim, among other things, to form the values of primary school students, they learn to choose an individual way of self-presentation, behavior and communication. The task of the teacher is to teach to observe life, to notice human kindness, sacrifice, courage, as well as heartlessness, cruelty, indifference. Hence the signs of a tolerant personality, such as patience, indulgence, tolerance for differences, kindness, the ability to listen to others, not to judge others, to take their position, the ability to empathize, humanism. The updated content of literary material, which comprehensively covers the sphere of interests of junior schoolchildren, its emotionality, novelty, decoration, interesting forms and methods of working with texts of works and children's books with preference to problematic, creative tasks should convince students that fiction is a special kind of art, and reading – a special, unique means of satisfying cognitive interests, knowledge of the world and self-knowledge, which can not be replaced by any other means of mass culture. In the process of experimental learning, we tried to design and implement such types of educational activities of students, which contributed to the formation of tolerance in them as the most important value of the individual. After analyzing some aspects of updating the content and methodology of reading lessons in primary school in the context of implementing the ideas of tolerant education, we note that the new textbooks and manuals for extracurricular reading contain many texts with the potential for educating this quality of personality. actions of characters; to feel the state of another person, to make a moral choice. Key words: formation of tolerance in junior schoolchildren, reading lessons, educational potential of reading lessons, formation of personality of junior schoolchildren.
