Textbooks are one of the things that are very important in the learning process. Therefore, teachers and educators must prepare it very well so that the desired learning objectives can be achieved. The use of textbooks must adapt to the methods, objectives, and learning media. The purpose of this study was to analyze the contents of the book Durus al Lughah al Arabiyah Juz I by Imam Zarkasyi and Imam Syubani from one aspect of the language, namely tarkib (sentence structure). As is known, mastery of tarkib is very important in understanding Islamic teachings, because the source, the Quran, Hadith, and the books of Islamic scholars, use Arabic. Without good mastery, texts that speak Arabic can be wrong and difficult to understand. The method used in this study is the method of content analysis by analyzing this book Durus al Lughah al Arabiyah Juz I. The results of the research are that the author did not find special material on tarkib learning in this book. In accordance with the purpose of writing, namely the application of speech, the tarkib is directly learned in a sentence. This sentence is given from a simple form and gradually changes to a more complex sentence accompanied by exercises on each material. Among the forms of tarkib training are question and answer, word changes, sentence improvement, etc.

This study examined the syntactic abilities of neurologically normal and suspect preterm children at preschool age to characterize their language skills and to assess specific differences between groups. The Index of Productive Syntax was used to score language transcripts. The children exhibited reduced syntactic performance, particularly in the use of questions, negatives, and complex sentence structure. Children considered to be neurologically suspect had more difficulty with development of verb phrases than did neurologically normal children.

Every success in the learning process will affect environmental factors, schools, attitudes, or students themselves. Each student enhances cognitive, affective, and psychomotor development. Student trading has the uniqueness and character of each in the learning process to respond to and understand teaching material or information obtained. Student learning independence can be seen from the achievements of students in responding, solving, and processing information by completing various tasks. Every student has a learning style that is prominent in him, and the teacher must be able to accommodate it. That is to achieve the learning objectives well and effectively. Learning style is the key to student success in learning. There are models (Type) of learning styles (Fleming, 2001), VARK (Visual, auditory, Reading, Kinesthetic) that can increase student activity in learning Indonesian. Education research strongly links methods of course assessment with the student learning process. In open-ended engineering design courses, assessment based on student deliverables as “product” may focus student attention on a content checklist rather than effectively learning process and techniques that are critical to professional engineering practice. By developing a rubric assessment scheme that relates directly to the course learning objectives and sharing it openly with students, it is proposed that students are more likely to achieve deeper learning on the process of engineering design.

[TAFSEER LEARNING METHODS IN 'ULUM AL-QUR'AN BASED SCHOOL]. This paper is aimed to respond to the lack of formulation of tafsir learning methods at schools. This study shows that the learning method with the basis of Ulum al-Qur’an consists of three aspects, i.e. the foundation, learning material, and method. The foundation of tafsir learning comprises three elements; it must be based on the function of the Qur'an, gradual, and not burdensome. Then, the learning materials of tafsir can use the stories contained in the Qur'an, asbab al-nuzul (reason of revelation), and the main themes of the Qur'an. Meanwhile, the tafsir learning process uses the ijmali method. This is a library based study with data sources from books, especially ‘Ulum al-Qur'an Mabahits fi 'Ulum al-Qur'an by Manna' al-Qathan, 'Ulum al-Qur'an by Nuruddin' Itr, Kaidah Tafsir by M. Quraish Shihab, and Membumikan Ulumul Qur’an by Ahsin Sakho Muhammad as well as research results in the form of journals and others in the field of education. In the process, this study uses a descriptive-analytical method with a content analysis approach and contextual interpretation.
