The article theoretically substantiates the technology of forming the gifted pupils’ key competences at the specially created educational and developing environment. The author focuses attention on the fact that the result of this technology implementation is the formed key competences of gifted pupils, which include: communication in the state language; main competencies in the field of natural sciences and technologies; informational and digital competence; lifelong learning skill; communication in foreign languages; mathematical competence; initiative and enterprise; cultural awareness and self- expression; environmental awareness and healthy lifestyles; social and civic competencies. The article substantiates all structural components, specifies the criteria, and determines the indicators to the chosen criteria and the levels of formedness of the gifted pupils’ key competences. The results of the questionnaires, tests and surveys gave grounds to state mainly the average and low levels of of formedness of the gifted pupils’ key competences. On the basis of the obtained results, it was designed the technology in a specially created educational and developing environment, and the stages of its implementation were substantiated as those: organizational-diagnostic, procedural-accompanying and reflective-corrective. Some changes took place both in the experimental group EG, where the designed technology was implemented, and in the control group CG, where the educational process was traditional. According to the motivational- value component ‒ at the beginning of the experiment, most of the gifted pupils of the EG and CG had an almost equally low level of value attitude to the formation of key competencies, in particular: the high level was diagnosed at 1.62% (EG) and 1.87% (CG); the average level is 35.92% (EG) and 39.18% (CG); the low level of 62.46% (EG) and 58.95% (CG). The repeated diagnostics showed positive changes in the EG and CG groups, however, the changes were more noticeable in the EG and manifested in the rapid growth of the number of gifted pupils with the high level ‒ 75.08% and the average ‒ 24.92%, as well as an absence of the low level pupils. In the CG, despite the fact that the proportion of gifted pupils with the high level was increased from 1.87% to 5.96% and the average level from 39.18% to 66.04%, the presence of gifted pupils with the low level was still recorded 28%. According to the cognitive-operational component, the percentage of EG gifted pupils who showed the high level of knowledge increased significantly from 0.65% to 78%, while in the CG ‒ from 1.12% to 24.85%, and the number of gifted pupils who was reduced to the low level from 57.28% to 2.91% (EG) and from 61.94% to only 21.05%. According to the evaluation-reflection component, the dynamics of formedness was manifested in the ability to carry out reflexion. Thus, in the EG, the low level decreased from 91.9% to 1.9%, while in the CG it decreased from 89.9% to 41.83%, the high level in the EG increased by 31.1%, which is very noticeable in comparison with СG, where positive changes have only occurred at 11.87%. The experimental implementation of the developed technology indicates the positive results of the gifted pupils’ key competencies formation in a specially created educational and developing environment.

This article studies the measures to increase motivation of the first-year students in terms of health-preserving activity. The study involved first-year students of various specialties of H. S. Skovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University (Ukraine). The study was performed in three stages. At the first stage, we conducted an anonymous test to determine the motivation of future professionals towards health-preserving activity, the results of which has shown, that 46% of students had a low level and did not have a need for health care; they were not motivated to a healthy lifestyle, while having harmful habits, 35% of students had an average level and were willing to take measures to support their health. And only 19% had a higher level of motivation for health-preserving activitie. At the second stage in the educational process the formation of sustainable motivation and values to health-preserving activities was provided by non-traditional lectures (problem-solving lectures, lectures-presentations, lectures-discussions, organization of practical and seminar classes using innovative teaching methods, organization of educational activities). As an outcome of conducted activities we arranged an anonymous survey among students, the results of which has shown that the level of students motivated to health-preserving activities has increased. 30% of students had a high level of motivation. The majority of students (48%) had an average level of motivation for health-preserving activities and expressed a desire to be engaged in health activities. Students who had a low level of motivation also reconsidered their habits and began to pay attention towards their own health support. Their number decreased to 22%. This indicates the effectiveness of various measures in the educational process to increase student motivation for health-preserving activities. Such data indicates on the effectiveness of health activities support during the educational and training activities of students.

The purpose of this research is to study the need for the students' communication activity component at the Pharmaceutical faculty of VSMU. Dual feature of the levels indicators dynamics in the need for communication is revealed. On the one hand, there is a tendency to reduce the average level in the need for communication and to increase its high level at the expense of girls. On the other hand, there is a fairly significant increase in the average level in the need for communication among young men against the background of an obvious predominance of the average level in the need for communication among the students of the entire sampling. The study allows us to state obvious influence of the informational educational environment at VSMU on the personal growth of students at the Pharmaceutical faculty, on the formation of their communicative competence as the most important component of the professional competence of future pharmacists. The results of the study can be used in the educational process of VSMU, in the activities of the social and pedagogical and psychological service, in the work of educators in academic groups and for tutors.

Empowerment of tribal women is one of the central issues in the process of development all over the world. Empowerment is the process that allows one to gain the knowledge and attitude needed to cope with the changing world and the circumstances in which one lives [1]. Women empowerment is a process in which women gain greater share of control over material, human and intellectual resources as well as control over decision-making in their home, community, society and nation. Given the need to analyze the empowerment status of tribal women, the present study aimed to enhance the empowerment status through enhancing decision-making skills of tribal working women in India. The specific objective is to study the impact of intervention on enhancing status of empowerment through decision-making skills of tribal working women in Utnoor Mandal Adilabad district. The total sample population for the study was 50 tribal working women, and data was analyzed using a paired t test. Results revealed that at pretest, majority of the women were at average level of decision-making skills (78%), 12% were at low level and only 10% were at high level. After the intervention, post test results revealed that 74% of the women were high in decision making skills and remaining 26% were at average level. Interestingly, none of the respondents had low level of life skills. Thus, intervention found to be effective among women respondents to develop and enhance their empowerment status through decision-making skills.

The relationship between Advanced Information Technologies (AIT) and organization is complex. Several theories and approaches try to get grip on this complex relationship. Adaptive Structuration Theory (AST) (DeSanctis and Poole, 1994) is one of them. It introduces the concept of spirit of AIT as an important determinant of AIT appropriation. AIT with a clear, coherent spirit will lead to a high level of AIT appropriation. But what about the role of the internal organizational environment? Does this constrain or support the role of the AIT’s spirit regarding AIT appropriation? This paper presents a study that aims to find an answer to this question. Three hypotheses were formulated and tested in four offices where employees used office technologies. Results confirm that a clear spirit is positively related to the level of appropriation as distinguished by DeSanctis and Poole (1994) and Poole and DeSanctis (1990). The results also make clear that this relationship is more positive among users who experienced a low level of change in the internal organizational environment along with the office technology implementation than among users who experienced a high level of change. Furthermore, the relationship is more positive among users with a low level of work autonomy than among users with a high level of work autonomy. This is not fully in line with our expectations. However, we think an explanation is available. We suppose that the answer lies in the office technology development process. All office technologies in this study’s offices were probably developed without anticipating the changes that office technology implementations might bring about in the internal organizational environment and with the aim to build systems that “reconfirm” the current “restrictive” work procedures. This study’s results once again indicate that office technology and other organizational components are interrelated.

Spoilage rates of ground turkey and ground beef were compared. Clean muscle tissue of the two livestock species were ground in a hygienic manner, providing initial mesotrophic counts (72 h at 25°C) in the range of ca. 102–3 CFU/g. Moisture, fat, and protein contents for the ground products were similar. Each ground product was subjected to the following treatments: a) uninoculated control, b) inoculated with a low level of turkey flora, c) inoculated with a high level of turkey flora, d) inoculated with a low level of beef flora, and e) inoculated with a high level of beef flora. Three replicate analyses were performed on the products which were held at 5°C in air-permeable plastic bags. Five subsamples (20–25 g) were taken for each of the five analysis times over 10 d of storage. At completion of storage, bacterial counts varied from 103.5 to 109.2 CFU/g, with the turkey control group at the lower end of the range. Our findings indicate no significant difference between the spoilage rates of the two ground products, regardless of treatment or origin of species.

The article reveals the course of diagnosis of health competence of a future biology teacher. The complexity and structure of the studied phenomenon were revealed under such criterions: motivational-value (motives, needs, value orientations), cognitive-informational (mastery of health-preserving knowledge and skills), practical-activity (health-preserving skills) criteria. Experimental work was carried out in two stages: ascertaining and forming. At the ascertaining stage the organization of  educational process of future biology teachers was comprehensively investigated. The initial low level of health competence of future biology teachers was determined, which showed no significant difference between the levels of health competence of future biology teachers according to motivational-value, cognitive-informational, practical-activity criteria. According to the results of the ascertaining stage of the research, a formative experiment was carried out, which proved the existence of a high level of health competence of future biology teachers on motivational-value, cognitive-informational, practical-activity criteria in experimental and average in control groups. It was found that the students of the experimental group showed higher levels of health competence. It is proved that in the experimental group of students there have been significant changes in the direction of increasing the level of health competence. The obtained data from the experimental group in comparison with the indicators from the control group indicate that the efficiency of using the whole set of proposed innovations is higher than using them separately, without further updating.

Background: Based on recent findings, we speculated the existence of the lung, heart, and kidney axis as the main pathway for the COVID-19 disease progression. Methods: This paper reports on an observational study conducted by a team of researchers and doctors of the 118-Pre-Hospital and Emergency Department of SG Moscati of Taranto City in Italy. The study was conducted on a totality of 185 participants that were divided into three groups. The study group included COVID-19 affected patients (PP n = 80), the first control group included patients with different pathologies (non-COVID-19 NNp n = 62) of the SG Moscati Hospital, and the second control group included healthy individuals (NNh n = 43). The core of the current trial was focused on assessing the level of the vitamin D (serum 25(OH) D concentration), IL-6, and the renal glomerular filtrate (eGFR) in COVID-19 disease and non-COVID-19 patients in both groups. Results: It was observed that the majority of COVID-19-infected patients showed a progressive multi-organ involvement, especially in regard to the lung, kidney, and heart. The majority of the COVID-19 patients exhibited preexisting comorbidities which include cardiovascular, respiratory, and renal disorders accompanied by a severely low level of vitamin D, extremely high level of IL-6, and low glomerular filtration rate (eGFR). The significant overall damages exerted by the immune-mediated responses under the hyper-expression of proinflammatory cytokines and interleukins, such as IL-6, may be facilitated by either a decreased level of vitamin D or the ageing process. The reduced presence of vitamin D was often found together with a reduced functionality of renal activity, as revealed by the low eGFR, and both were seen to be concomitant with an increased mortality risk in patients with lung disorders and heart failure (HF), whether it is showed at baseline or it develops during manifestation of COVID-19. Therefore, the documentation of the modifiable risk factors related to SARS-CoV-2 and lung impairment in older patients with kidney and heart disease may help the clinician to better manage the situation. Conclusions: This paper addresses how a low level of vitamin D and older age may be indicative of systemic worsening in patients with COVID-19, with a goal of providing a broader context in which to view a better therapeutic approach.

Background and Study Aim. To prevent hypodynamics, to evaluate the volume and level of weekly physical activity of the university's senior students. Material and methods. The study involved students (n = 244) aged 19-20 years (n = 157 - boys, n = 87 - girls). The students studied in the 4th year of the Technical University (Russia). The following parameters were investigated: physical activity (PA), the intensity of metabolic processes and motor skills. The volume of weekly physical activity was determined by a short form of the IPAQ-SF physical activity questionnaire. The level of physical activity intensity was determined by the formula of a metabolic equivalent of task (MET) (min/week). According to MET, students are divided into three groups: 1st group with a high level; 2nd group with average level; 3rd group with low level. The battery of motor tests used to evaluate students' physical preparedness. Results. The total intensive and non-intensive weekly motor activity of boys was 6.2 hours (372 min). This confirms with the standard volume (6 hours) recommended by WHO. The total motor activity of the girls (intense and non-intense) was 4.5 hours (271.6 min) per week. More than a quarter of the surveyed boys had a high level of physical activity. About 62% of students had an average level and 12.7% had a low level. Among all surveyed girls 16.1% have a high level of physical activity, 41.4% had an average level and 42.5% had a low level. The results of boys with a low level of physical activity in all motor tests were lower than the results of boys with high and average levels of physical activity. The exception was the results of the Seated Forward Bend test (p <0.05). In 6 motor tests, the results of girls with a low level of physical activity were worse than the results of female students with a high level of weekly physical activity (p <0.05). There are no significant differences between the test results in girls with low and average levels of weekly physical activity.  Conclusions. After completing the course on the subject "Elective Courses in Physical Culture and Sports", the physical activity of students remains high enough. 12.7% of boys and 42.5% of girls with low levels of physical activity and MET were identified among the surveyed student population. This allows aligning them into a group at risk of developing non-communicable diseases. To reduce the hypodynamics of junior courses students at risk, it should use individually directed pedagogical technologies of physical education. In presenting the theoretical section of the subject "Physical Culture" to the senior courses students it is necessary to strengthen their motivation for independent motor activity.

The article contains a review of modern approaches to the formation of innovative and digital competencies of future primary school teachers; the essence of the concept of "innovative competence of a teacher" is revealed; the indicators of readiness of the future primary school teacher for introduction of innovations at school are defined, the classification of levels of innovative activity of future teachers is considered. The need for innovations in the activities of future primary school teachers is justified. This will lead to qualitative changes in the educational process in educational institutions, as well as the approximation of the results of their activities to the standards of the European educational space. The authors of the article pay attention to the description of digital competence of a teacher in accordance with the Education Development Concept and the European Framework of Reference on Digital Competence. It is stressed upon the importance of introducing scientific and technological, creative and informational innovations into the pedagogical process. It is forcasted the necessity of forming of primary school teachers' professional readiness for innovative activity. Optimal conditions for future teachers to search, to select and to use digital and innovative tools in the educational process are defined. The practical lesson helps: to form the knowledge of future primary school teachers about the technique of ebru as a technology of drawing on water; ability to formulate creative ideas; to develop artistic and technical talent, technical thinking in the process of creative activity, artistic perception (sense of colour, shape, emotional expressiveness of the object); ability to apply knowledge of ebru technology when planning their own professional activities. The lesson gives an opportunity to possess polytechnic skills as to organize the workplace, to plan the work process, to carry out technological operations using ICT tools to exchange messages and to organize cooperation in solving educational, research and practical tasks. The authors searched for and implemented the formation of digital and innovative competencies of primary school teachers the technique of drawing on the water ebru. Achieving a high level of future primary school teachers formation of innovative and digital competencies is possible when there are having the following qualities: high level of creativity, creative potential of teachers; the existence of professional and motivational readiness for innovation in education; performance of a set of educational tasks aimed at increasing the creative activity of students. The method of formation of innovative and digital competencies presented in the article can be adapted to the use of other technologies and techniques, such as origami, isothread, vapplique, embroidery, etc. Finding out the levels of awareness of students about the use of water painting techniques at the beginning and at the end of the lesson allow the authors to confirm the successful achievement of the purpose and objectives of the lesson.

Abstract Study question How does embryo transfer with a low-level of mosaicism affect the success of ART programs, pregnancy, and live birth in comparison with euploid embryo transfer? Summary answer The transfer of mosaic embryos results in the delivery of a healthy baby however significantly decreases the outcome of ART programs and live birth rate. What is known already Present methods of preimplantation genetic testing of aneuploidy (PGT-A) allow detecting a mixture of euploid and aneuploid cells at the blastocyst stage with high accuracy. Such embryos are classified as mosaics with varying levels according to the guidelines of the International Society for Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGDIS). Numerous sources describe that number of mosaic embryos can vary from 4 to 22%. Several publications report that mosaic embryos can lead to successful pregnancies and healthy childbirth, but with a lower frequency and higher rates of pregnancy loss compared to euploid embryos. Nevertheless, the effect of mosaicism on ART outcomes remains controversial. Study design, size, duration It has been analyzed 2506 embryos from 648 patients undergoing the ART program with PGT-A at the Institute of Reproductive Medicine for 2018 - 2019. Embryos after PGT-A were classified as euploid, aneuploid, and having mosaicism of less than 40% as low level and more than 40% as high level following PGDIS guidelines. Patients of (group A) were transferred 467 single euploid embryos, and 43 patients (group B) underwent single low-level mosaic embryo transfer. Participants/materials, setting, methods The embryos on day 5 or 6 were graded by Gardner Scoring System. Approximately 5–10 TE cells were biopsied from good quality blastocysts and subsequently vitrified. PGT-A was performed utilizing an array comparative genomic hybridization (aCGH) (Agilent). The transfer of mosaic embryos was performed in the absence of an alternative, only after medical genetic counseling with a risk explanation and the subsequent signing of an informed agreement. Statistical tests processed by Pearson’s chi-squared test. Main results and the role of chance Of all analyzed embryos, the proportion of euploid embryos was 48.6% (n = 1002), the total number of mosaics was 18.6% (n = 384) and aneuploid ones were 32.8% (n = 676). Depending on the level of mosaicism, the ratio between embryos with low-level mosaicism (≤40%) / high-level (≥40%) was 38.3% / 61.7%, respectively. According to the study, there was a significant decrease in the indicator of clinical pregnancy rate after embryo transfer with a low-level of mosaicism of 44.1% versus 63.2% transferred euploid embryo (р&lt;0,01), however, despite an increase losses pregnancy in the group B (26.3%) there was no significant difference (p = 0.16) in comparison with the control group (15.4%). The live birth rate (LBR) significantly decreased (p &lt; 0.001) after the transfer of the mosaic embryo by 32.5%, while in the control group the indicator was 53.9%. In all cases, after the transfer of the mosaic embryo, healthy babies were born. There were 2 cases of high-level mosaic embryo transfer as a result of which pregnancy did not occur. According to the survey, about 70% of patients agree to replant mosaic embryos, 20% are ready to go to the new program, and 10% cannot make a decision. Limitations, reasons for caution The number of patients in group B was significantly lower than in group A. Not enough cases of embryo transfer with a high-level of mosaicism. Wider implications of the findings: The current study might help to develop and to select a more appropriate strategy for transfer mosaic embryos. The next series of studies should focus on obstetric and neonatal outcome data from mosaic embryo transfer to gain a better understanding of the chromosomal and physiological health of children.
