This research is motivated by the large number of students who consider that social studies subjects are boring and unattractive subjects, so that they can influence student learning outcomes. In this study, researchers tried to use visual media to overcome these problems because visual media is a good motivational tool and can stimulate students to pay attention to the material being explained. The research method used in this study is Classroom Action Research, which in its implementation has four stages namely, planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques used in this study in the form of tests, observations, interviews, and field notes. The results of research using visual media went well and smoothly. This can be stated by an increase in learning outcomes in each cycle carried out. Where in the pre-test only 37.9% of students who successfully met the graduation standard, entered the criteria "Very lacking". At the end of the first cycle test, the students' grades increased, students who successfully met the graduation standard was 75%, entering the criteria of "Good". and increased again in cycle 2 which is 90.7%, included in the criteria of "Very Good".

Forearm pass is one of the materials that must be mastered by students of class X Senior High School. In fact, many students do not yet master and know forearm pass techniques. This research is a classroom action research (CAR) with two cycles. Each cycle consists of 4 stages, namely: planning, action, observation and reflection. Data collection was carried out using observations and questionnaires. Data were analyzed using Hake's Normalized Gain formula. From the results of the study it is known that the psychomotor domain of students increased by 0.42 with average criteria from cycle 1 to cycle 2. The affective domain increased by 0.37 with average criteria. The cognitive domain increased by 0.39 with average criteria. Based on the results of the data analysis, it can be concluded that learning forearm pass techniques with games method can improve student learning outcomes.

The method used in this research is an action research which refers to the model of a Classroom Action Research Kemmis and Mc. Taggart consist of four phase: planning, action, observation and reflection. This research consist of two cycles, each cycle consist of 6 times in actions. Analysis of the data used quantitative and qualitative approaches. Analysis of quantitative data used descriptive statistics that compare the results obtained from the first cycle and the second cycle. While the analysis of qualitative data used analyzing data from the field notes and interviews during the research by steps of data reduction, data display and data verification. The results showed an improvement in language skills through storytelling methods with dioramas, as evidenced by the average pre-action language proficiency score of children by 39%. Then increased in cycle I by 20% to 59%. Furthermore, from cycle I to cycle II children's language skills increased by 30% from 59% to 89%. So that the total improvement of children's language skills ranging from pre-action, cycle I to cycle II 39% which is 59% to 89%.

This research starts from the low results of learning mathematics students. This can be seen in the daily test of students who are below the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM). One reason is a low understanding of mathematical concepts. Low understanding of concepts is due to the fact that mathematics is still abstracted by students. Abstract mathematical concepts for students will be easily understood when learning using teaching aids. Learning carried out is direct learning using chopstick props. This study aims to determine the improvement in learning outcomes of students of class XII MIPA 2 SMAN 1 Pangkalan Kerinci and carried out in two cycles consisting of planning, action, observation and reflection. The research data collected is data on learning outcomes and field notes. The collected data was analyzed descriptively. The results of this study indicate that the application of direct learning models using chopstick props can improve learning outcomes. Increased learning outcomes for KD 3.1 amounted to 22.58% or reached 96.77% of students who were above the KKM. While for KD 4.1 the increase from cycle I to cycle II is 22.58% or reaches 93.55% of students are above the KKM.

ENGLISHThe learning outcomes on the economic issues material of the students in the grade 10th social-3 SMAN 3 were low. It was indicated that the students had low motivation to learn that material. Therefore, the teacher applied ice breaking as a learning method to promote students’ motivation and learning outcomes. This research aimed to compare students’ motivation and learning outcomes on economic issue material before and after the application of ice breaking model. It used action class approach, in which 36 students participated as respondents. It comprised two cycles, which each cycle consisted of four stages, namely: planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through test and observation and then were analyzed using the quantitative-qualitative descriptive method. The research concluded: (1) the students showed higher motivation on learning activities after the researcher applied ice breaking method. They paid more attention and were active answering questions; and (2) there was the increase in the students' learning outcomes, i. e, 62.08 on precycle; 70.28 on cycle I; and 76.81 on cycle II. Furthermore, the number of students passed the standard of minimum completion (KKM) increased as well, that were 10 students in precycle, 20 students in cycle I, and 31 students in cycle II. INDONESIAHasil belajar kelas X IPS3 SMAN 3 tentang materi masalah-masalah ekonomi cenderung rendah.
