Today, Kazakhstan has accumulated a huge amount of environmental, social and ecological problems that prevented the development of the country on a stable basis. The economic growth of the country is mainly due to rising prices for raw materials on world markets and the use of a significant amount of natural resources. At the root of many social and economic problems of the Republic of Kazakhstan is historically an imbalance when the country consumes resources disproportionately in comparison with their production.

The strategic goal of the development of the Russian forest complex is to significantly increase its contribution to the national economy by creating an economically sustainable, private and globally competitive group of industries. For this, the products of forest sector of Russia should enjoy equal demand both on domestic and foreign markets. The basic branch of forest complex is forestry, which provides protection, reproduction of forests, regulation of forest man-agement and control over the use of forest resources. The Republic of Mariy El is not distinguished by the presence of a large number of industrially significant natural resources. The main natural wealth of the region is forest, which covers more than 50% of its territory. The forest-growing conditions of the Republic of Mariy El in most of its territory are favorable for the growth of valuable coniferous species. Extensive exploitation of the republic's forests is a difficult period of the beginning and the middle of the 20th century, traditional ways of managing in the forest, aimed primarily at selecting the most valuable timber; insufficient financing of reforestation, forest protection measures; as well as cur-rent market situation of timber currently lead to negative changes in species and commodity structure of the country's forest resources. The locomotive of the growth of the forest complex of the Republic of Mariy El is JSC Mari Pulp and Paper Mill, which largely covers its need for wood raw materials by importing it from outside the region. Enterprises-tenants of forest areas carry out the harvesting of timber and subsequent sale of products with low added value, which reduces the contribution of forestry industries to the economy of the region. Forest recreation should be a strategic di-rection for the development of forest management in the Republic of Mariy El.

The preparation of soft drinks is an actively developing branch of the food industry in the Republic of Kazakhstan. To meet the interests of all producers, the enterprises annually produce a large number of non-alcoholic products. To maintain a healthy competition of the enterprise for preparation of soft drinks, create and apply the technology not previously known and expand the assortment of products annually. One of the most popular segments of this market is kvass. This is mainly due to the fact that all over the world there is an increasing demand for products made from natural raw materials, prepared without the addition of any synthetic additives and ingredients. In recent years, there has been an active increase in the consumption of kvass and its replacement with a large share of the market of carbonated soft drinks. The domestic kvass market is very rich and diverse, but there is a problem with the lack of functional drinks for certain groups of citizens. Creating a wide range of functional food products, including beverages, is becoming feasible. At the same time, in the production of kvass, it is important to use non-traditional raw materials, including buckwheat, the introduction of which in the kvass technology allows you to significantly expand the product range. A distinctive feature of buckwheat, which determines the prospects for use in the production of kvass, is its chemical composition. It is rich in vitamins and is considered an important source of antioxidants due to its high concentration of flavonoids. Buckwheat contains rutin, quercetin, folic acid, quercitrin, hyperoside. Thus, the replacement of barley malt with buckwheat contributes to an increase in the proportion of natural flavonoids in the drink, and therefore in the human diet. In this article, studies have been conducted to study the effect of the dose of buckwheat, buckwheat flakes, buckwheat malt and methods of their pretreatment on the effectiveness of the mashing process, when using it as an unsalted material. Buckwheat grains, buckwheat flakes and buckwheat malt were used in the work. Studies of mashing modes and indicators that determine their effectiveness have shown that the use of buckwheat malt in the backfill is more optimal than buckwheat grain. Studies have shown that the most economical and promising when using extruded buckwheat flakes as an unsalted material is the use of a single-boil mashing mode. However, the use of such raw materials is possible in concentrations not exceeding 30% of the backfill. If you need to increase the proportion of buckwheat in the backfill, you should use buckwheat malt. In this case, it is necessary to apply a mashing mode with intermittent heating, which is likely to compensate for the cost of producing malt from buckwheat grain.

Modern investment processes can be considered the main factor in the development of individual constituent entities of the Russian Federation. The emergence of additional jobs, the improvement of social infrastructure contribute to the growth of the quality of life of the population. However, the active use of natural resources as a raw material base for industry and agriculture has consequences: the depletion of resources and the violation of their structure and quality. Environmental protection measures are an important component of the development of regions. The article сonsiders investments aimed at protecting land and water resources in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). The study of the statistics of costs for the conservation and restoration of water and land using the Gatev integral index allowed us to conclude about significant changes in current costs structure. Based on the correlation and regression analysis, the ratio between the Gatev index of structural differences in costs and the share of investments in the rehabilitation of soil and water resources with a correlation of 0.85 has been obtained. It has been concluded that a decrease in the level of attracted investments entails, in aggregate, a significant redistribution of funds for measures aimed at improving the natural resources of agricultural purposes.

Activation of points of economic growth in regions with a tendency of reduction in natural resources and labor potential contributes to development of territories. The article presents an analysis of the natural resources, production and labor potential of the Republic of Bashkortostan, provides an assessment and proposes a scenario for activating points of economic growth. Cooperation of productive capacities that contribute to production of a variety of innovative marketable products will activate the points of economic growth. The natural energy potential of the Republic of Bashkortostan is limited in terms of oil, natural gas and coal, while the unique petrochemical and oil refining facilities located on this territory contribute to development of production and scientific potential in the field of hydrocarbons. Therefore, the production of hydrocarbons from renewable energy sources based on sugar and oil crops contributes to the economic growth of certain specializations of the agro-industrial and machine-building profile and partial provision of raw materials to the production specialization of the petrochemical and oil refining profile.

Forest natural resources are classified as renewable biological resources. The forests of Russia are a unique ecological system that makes up about 25% of all forest resources of the planet. The main product produced in the exploitation of forests is, of course, timber. But in addition to wood, they also have a variety of non-wood (side) resources: berries, forest mushrooms, nuts, fruits, medicinal herbs, etc., which have enormous social and economic value. The article provides an overview of the food forest resources of the Far Eastern region and the formation of demand factors for products made on the basis of wild plant raw materials. The development in the Far East of the sphere of harvesting and processing of wild-growing food resources is one of the promising areas in the rational use of natural resources, which, in turn, will serve as an incentive for the development of new areas in related industries: food, processing, pharmaceutical industry and agro-industrial production.

The mineral resources of the Republic of Srpska enable the exploitation and processing of mineral raw materials in the metal, metal processing, construction, chemical industry, cement industry, ceramics and construction materials, etc. The largest part (over 90% in terms of value) are reproductive materials for processing in other industries and a smaller part are products that go directly to the market. In the conditions of increasing and faster technological development and with the tendency of increasing exploitation of natural resources in the world with changes of previous life conceptions, there was a need to analyze the sustainability of the mineral resources and natural resources use for further development of the Republic. The importance of a clearly defined Strategy for Management and Utilization of Mineral Resources and Raw Materials in the Globalization and Advanced Technologies Era is shown in the paper, which would enable planning and defining the goals of the use of mineral resources, clearer identification of the potential mineral resources, and basic starting data for creating the activities in order to more rational and economically efficient management of the natural resources in the Republic of Srpska. At the global level, it has become clear that geology is a very important geopolitical factor in the 21st century. Тhe importance of disposition аnd knowing where, how many and what types of mineral resources we have, can be achieved through to the several strategic activities. The development of the Strategy for the Management and Utilization of Mineral Resources of the Republic of Srpska, the "central interactive" database of mineral resources and the establishment of the Agency or the Directorate for Mineral Resources, are some of the proposals for these strategic activities.

Scarcity of the natural resources, exciting global environmental problems, climate change, soil and ecosystem degradation accompanying with the population growth force to searching new consumption and production patterns. Appropriate modernization of the industries would impact into strengthening of the country's position in the world economy and conserve the natural resources. Achievement of these goals is possible with bioeconomy, which accompanied by digital technologies becomes the mechanism promoting the sustainable development. Bioeconomy is the new approach ensuring the rational use of natural resources and their conservation due to more efficient use of biological raw materials. Goal of the article is substantiation of conceptual principles of the development of bioeconomy on Ukraine and discovery of its relations with the rational natural resources use. Main areas of bioeconomy’s impact to the environment, economy and social sphere include improvement of the land use, conservation of the biodiversity and ecosystems, protection of the environment, expansion of the biotechnology markets, and making human lives better. The mentioned outcomes of the bioeconomy show its role in the rational use of natural resources, further commercialization of biotechnology and the following effects in social and economic spheres. Today, Ukraine's share in the biotechnology market is negligible, and segments of biodegradable materials, bioplastics, and biofuels are completely absent. Among the possible factors for the development of the bioeconomy are the significant potential for agricultural biomass formation and organic production. The legislation gaps and shortcomings, lack of the national strategy for the development of bioeconomy, low economic capacity, scarcity of scientific researches on biotechnologies, and depletion of the human capital are the obstacles in this regard for Ukraine. Development of the new directions of bioeconomy will contribute to comprehensive solution of the problem of irrational use of natural resources and poor life of people by stimulus for the development of biotechnologies, making the market of innovations, protecting the environment and preserving the biodiversity.

Supply chains, as networks of companies, are focused on creating greater value to meet market needs with aim to achieve higher profitability. In this regard, all activities and processes within supply chain, starting from supply of raw materials until to the delivery of final products at the market, must be organized bearing in mind the aim of the supply chain. The focus of the paper is on upstream supply chian, and on solving the dilemma of supplying from single or muliple sources. The significance of this part of supply chain arises from the fact that any potential disorder or disruption in supplying can jeopardize making the value for consumers and the survival of the whole chain. Considering that due to the reduction in the complexity of upstream supply chain management, there is a trend of supplier base reduction, the aim of the paper is to determine how much this trend is present in the Republic of Serbia, with a special emphasis on the food industry. Using by regression analysis  and based on the results of empirical research.
