ABSTRAKHipertensi sering disebut dengan “silent killer” atau pembunuh diam-diam karena terjadi tanpa gejala. Hipertensi adalah suatu keadaan dimana terjadi peningkatan tekanan darah di atas ambang batas normal yaitu 120/80 mmHg. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah penyuluhan secara daring melalui WhatsApp. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi kepada masyarakat agar lebih mengenal hipertensi dan dapat melakukan upaya-upaya pencegahan dan pengendalian secara mandiri. Peserta penyuluhan terdiri dari masyarakat Desa Pemurus RT 002 Kecamatan Aluh-aluh Kabupaten Banjar sebanyak 12 orang. Edukasi diberikan menggunakan media audio visual berupa video edukasi yang berisi informasi-informasi dasar terkait hipertensi. Sebelum materi diberikan peserta mengisi pre-test terlebih dahulu dan di akhir kegiatan peserta akan mengisi post-test. Hasil uji paired sample t-test didapatkan bahwa aspek pengetahuan mengalami peningkatan secara signifikan setelah diberikan edukasi. Sedangkan aspek sikap dan perilaku tidak mengalami peningkatan secara signifikan. Kata kunci: hipertensi; daring; edukasi; audio visual ABSTRACTHypertension is often referred to as the "silent killer" because it occurs without symptoms. Hypertension is a condition where there is an increase in blood pressure above the normal threshold of 120/80 mmHg. The method used in this service activity is online counseling via WhatsApp. This service aims to provide education to the community so that they are more familiar with hypertension and can carry out prevention and control efforts independently. The counseling participants consisted of 12 people from the RT 002 Desa Pemurus, Kecamatan Aluh-aluh Kabupaten Banjar. Education is given using audio-visual media in the form of educational videos which contain basic information related to hypertension. Before the material is given the participants fill out the pre-test first and at the end of the activity the participants will fill out the post-test. The results of the paired sample t-test showed that the knowledge aspect had increased significantly after being given education. Meanwhile, the attitude and behavior aspects did not increase significantly. Keywords: hypertension; online; education; audio-visual.

The aim of this research is to know the implementation of Concept-Oriented Reading Instruction (CORI) in improving students’ reading comprehension of analytical exposition text and to find out whether there is a significant difference between students who were taught by using CORI and those who were not. This research used quantitative approach with experimental research which was conducted at an Islamic High School in Kemuja, Bangka Belitung Province. The researcher used purposive sampling technique and two classes were taken as the sample. The result of the test was analyzed by using statistical analysis of paired sample t-test and independent sample t-test. The result showed that the students who learned by using CORI got higher score than those who did not. It could be seen from the result of independent sample t-test of students’ post-test between experimental group and control group, the t-obtained in equal variences assumed was 2.385, and the significant (2-tailed) was 0.023. Since t-obtained was higher than t-table (2.385 > 2.036) and the significant (2-tailed) was lower than computation with level significant (0.023  < 0.05). Based on the fact above, it could be concluded that CORI significantly improved the students’ reading comprehension.

Background: Elementary school education is the basic level education where students were forged with many kind of study subject where each subject has to be mastered by the students. On the other hand students were also educated with attitude and behavior values that will be the basis for further developments in the future. One of the important attitude and behavior that needs to be educated early is environmental hygiene concern. Story book is a proper medium for attitude and behavior educaton for children, since they can accommodate children reading capacity and interest. Story books are usually written with short sentence, also simpler vocabulary and grammar compared to adult reading which makes them very effective in affecting the soul of the children. Objectives: To reveal the influence of story book with hygiene environmental schools hygiene concern theme towards attitudes and behavior of hygiene environmental schools hygiene concern on students of elementary schools in the District Gamping, Sleman Special Region of Yogyakarta. Method : Quasi-experimental "Pre test Post test with Control Design" Research Design. The research sampling was purposive sampling. Story books with environmental hygiene concern theme was given by reading together with the respondents and the researchers then followed by an explanation, while the control group didn’t exposed with the story books. Pre test and post test were used to determine the attitudes and behavior of hygiene environmental school concern before and after given the story book. Hypothesis testing using SPSS for Windows with T-test method with a significance level of p <0.05. Results: The attitude analysis result of the experimental and control groups with Independent sample t-tests obtained sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 <0.05, which means story book gives significant influence on student’s attitude related to environmental hygiene concern. While behavior analysis result of the experimental and control groups with independent sample t-test obtained sig. (2-tailed) of 0,343 > 0,05, which means story book gives no significant influence on student’s behavior related to environmental hygiene concern. Conclusion: There is a correlation of using storybooks with environmental school hygiene concern themes towards the environmental school hygiene concern attitude and while no observed correlation towards the environmental school hygiene concern behavior.

This study investigates the effectiveness of mobile learning in the teaching and learning of Probability. The context of mobile here is not just restrained to gadgets such as smartphones but also the fact that teaching and learning can occur beyond boundaries and anywhere according to the convenience and personal preference of the students. This study made use of the pretest – posttest quasi experimental design and the students chosen for the study were from a pre-university college located in the northern region of the country. A total of 92 students made up the sample of the study. There were 46 students each in the experimental and control groups respectively. Cluster random sampling was employed as the sampling method here. The instrument used to collect data with the aim of strengthening the outcome of the study was the achievement test. A quantitative approach was undertaken specifically to analyse the obtained data. The paired sample t-test and independent sample t-test were executed in the data analysis process. Initially, every student involved in the study regardless of the group they were in possessed equal strength in their understanding of the content being covered as indicated by the results of their pre-test. The paired sample t-test yielded p < 0.05 which meant that there was a significant difference between the mean score of the pre-test and post-test in the experimental group and control group respectively. The outcome of the independent sample t-test showed that there was a significant difference between the mean score of the experimental group and that of the control group in the post-test (p < 0.05). This indicated that the treatment via mobile learning had indeed played a role in the improved performance of students in Probability, hence proving the effectiveness of mobile learning in the teaching and learning of Probability.

Community service activities aim to provide knowledge to mothers about infant and child feeding to prevent child nutrition problems. This community service activity was held at the meeting hall of Maguwoharjo village residents, Depok, Sleman, DI Yogyakarta. Before the socialization, respondents filled the pretest first and after the socialization filled the post-test. Data processing is done by Paired Sample t-Test. Through this program, community knowledge about infant and child feeding can be increased.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat pengaruh video pembelajaran interaktif terhadap kemampuan mengenal warna pada anak usia 4-5 tahun. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre experimental dengan jenis one group pretest posttest design. Sampel yang digunakan adalah anak usia 4-5 tahun yang berjumlah 20 orang, dengan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan sampling jenuh. Indikator kemampuan kognitif yang digunakan adalah kemampuan mengklasifikasikan warna, kemampuan mengurutkan benda berdasarkan 5 seri warna, dan kemampuan menyebutkan warna. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar observasi yang digunakan untuk melakukan pretest dan posttest. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji paired sample T-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang cukup signifikan pada nilai rata-rata hasil pretest dan nilai hasil posttest pada indikator mengklasifikasikan warna memiliki nilai; indikator mengurutkan benda berdasarkan 5 seriasi warna; dan indikator menyebutkan warna. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat pengaruh penggunaan video pembelajaran interaktif terhadap kemampuan mengenal warna pada anak usia 4-5 tahun.The purpose of this study was to find out the effect of interactive educational videos on children, specially aged 4-5 years, in recognizing colors. The research used pre-experimental method, with one group pre test post test design. The participants were 20 children aged 4-5 years, which recruited using saturated sampling. Indicators of cognitive abilities used in this research were focusing on the ability to classify colors, to sort objects based on 5 color series, and to name the colors. The data were collected through observation using observation sheets before and after the introduction of the interactive educational videos which was conducted for five days. Data analysis was performed using the normality test, homogeneity test, and paired sample T-test. The results showed that there was a significant difference in the mean value of the pretest and posttest results on each indicator. The conclusion of this study is that there is an effect of the use of interactive educational videos on the ability to recognize colors in children aged 4-5 years.

ABSTRAKHipertensi mendapat julukan silent killer karena menjadi suatu penyakit tanpa gejala. Hipertensi merupakan keadaan peningkatan tekanan darah diatas tekanan darah normal yakni tekanan sistolik ≥140 mmHg dan tekanan diastolik <90 mmHg. Metode yang digunakan pada kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah penyuluhan secara daring melalui WhatsApp Group. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengedukasi kepada masyarakat untuk semakin mengetahui mengenai hipertensi, agar nantinya dapat melakukan upaya pencegahan terhadap faktor risiko dari hipertensi. Peserta dalam kegiatan penyuluhan ini sebanyak 11 orang yang merupakan warga Desa Aluh-Aluh Besar RT. 01. Sebelum pemberian materi dilakukan, peserta mengisi pre-test terlebih dahulu dan di akhir kegiatan peserta akan mengisi post-test. Keluhan psikis semakin meningkat selama pandemic covid-19. Berbagai pihak semakin genjar memberikan layanan konseling secara daring. Hanya saja, tidak semua pihak memiliki keterampilan dasar konseling terutama secara daring yang mumpuni, salah satu pemberi layanan konseling gratis adalah komunitas kawan dengar. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah melakukan pemberdayaan komunitas kawan dengar untuk mendapatkan keterampilan dasar konseling secara daring. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimen, menggunakan desain One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Analisis data menggunakan uji beda paired sample t-test. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa ada peningkatan yang signifikan pada hasil pretes dibandingkan postes setelah perlakuan. Hasil tersebut menyajikan informasi baru di tengah minimnya hasil riset tentang keterampilan mikro dalam konseling secara daring sekaligus memberikan manfaat bagi masyarakat yang mendapatkan layanan konseling daring melalui komunitas kawan dengar.Psychological complaints increased during the covid-19 pandemic. Various parties are increasingly active in providing online counseling services. It's just that, not all parties have basic counseling skills, especially those who are qualified, one of the free counseling service providers is a community of listeners. The purpose of this service activity is to empower the community of listeners to gain basic counseling skills in a bold manner. The method used was experimental, using the One Group Pretest-Posttest Design design. Data analysis using different test Paired Sample T-Test. The results showed that there was a significant increase in pretest compared to posttest results after treatment. These results provide new information in the midst of the lack of research results on micro skills in counseling as well as providing benefits to people who get counseling services through the peer-to-peer community.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the significant effect of using comic strips strategy toward students’ reading comprehension and writing ability at MTsN 1 Pekanbaru. A Quasi-Experimental by Non-equivalent Pre-test and Post-test Group was applied as a designed for study. The sample was two classes (VIII 3 and VIII 4) consisting 20 students of treatment class, and 20 students of control class. The data were computed using SPPS 20.0 to analyze Independent sample t-test and Paired sample t-test. The finding of this study revealed that there was a significant effect on students’ reading comprehension by using comic strips strategy, it shown on paired sample t-test; treatment class was 77 and control class was 64.5, the hypothesis testing showed the result of post T-test -7.149, then score of sig.(2-tailed) is 0.000, if we act to null hypothesis (Ho) that is 0.05, it means that the score of sig.(2-tailed) was smaller than score of Ho. The data also revealed that there was a significant effect on students’ writing ability, it shown on paired sample t-test; treatment class was 79.6 and control class was 54.2, the hypothesis testing showed the result of post T-test -21.9, then score of sig.(2-tailed) is 0.000, if we act to null hypothesis (Ho) that is 0.05, it means that the score of sig.(2-tailed) was smaller than score of Ho. Therefore, the null hypothesis was rejected and the alternative hypothesis was accepted. From those data it can be summarized that there is a significant effect of using comic strips strategy on students’ reading comprehension and writing ability.

The objective of this study is to measure whether there is or not significant effect of teaching reading by utilizing Hot Potatoes software toward students’ reading comprehension of descriptive text. The variables used were the teaching treatment of Hot Potatoes Software as the independent variable and the students’ reading comprehension of Descriptive Text as dependent variable. Then, the research designed was Quasi-experimental design and the presentation of data used was quantitative. The data were obtained from the eleventh grade, of which 28 students were taken as sample. The students are divided into two groups; experiment group consisted of 12 students and control group consists of 16 students. To get the data, the pre-test and post-test were applied and then analyzed using t-test formula. The researcher had concluded that there is Significant effect of Hot Potatoes Software toward the students’ reading comprehension achievement. The result showed that mean of students’ post-test was increased. It is proved by the t-test (8.54) which is higher than t-table (2.05) at level of significance 5%. It means that the alternative hypothesis was accepted and it proved that Hot Potatoes Software had significant effect toward students’ reading comprehension of Descriptive Text

This thesis is focused on the investigation of the effect of applying animal cartoon pictures on students’ achievement in writing narrative text. This study aims to find whether applying animal cartoon pictures significantly affect the students’ writing achievement or not. The data in this study were obtained by administering a written test. The population was the 2015/2016 first year (grade XI) of SMA Swasta Nusantara Lubuk Pakam and 66 students were taken as the sample by using random sampling. The sample was divided into two groups, experimental and control groups. The experimental group was taught by applying animal cartoon pictures while the control group without animal cartoon pictures (x = lecturing). The data were taken the scores from the pre-test and post-test to both experimental and control groups. These data were analyzed by using t-test. The result of computing the t-test obviously showed that t-observed is higher than t-table (5.21 >1,67) with the degree of freedom 64 (df =N-2) at the level significance 0,05 one tail test. It showed that the application of animal cartoon pictures significantly affected the students of SMA Swasta Nusantara Lubuk Pakam achievement in writing narrative text.
