Mangrove resources provide economic and ecological value. The expansion of residential areas makes the level of need for shelter as well as the region increases. This will have an impact on the utilization of mangrove in sufficient needs such as firewood, charcoal and building materials. If continue berlasngsung then do not deny the existence of mangrove degradation. The occurrence of mangrove degradation will have a direct impact on the local community. Considering the importance of mangrove function and the need for data of mangrove area change, it is needed to analyze the change of mangrove area in coastal of Bangka Tengah, which will be analyzed within 15 years in 2002 and 2017, so that the result of this study is expected to be further management by local government to conserve mangrove forests. This research was conducted from December 2017 to March 2018 with location station determination based on unsupervised image classification, that is classification based on digital number using RGB_231 image composite for ASTER image. Based on the results of the study, there is a change of mangrove area from 2002-2014 as much as 176.3 Ha or about 15.95% and in 2014-2017 there is an increase of 36.23 Ha or about 3.9%. The value of NDVI analys in East Coast of Central Bangka Regency in 2017 ranges from 0.005 to 0.156. the occurrence of the reduction of mangrove area due to the changing function of mangrove land into settlement, mangrove logging in the utilization of charcoal and mining industry. The addition of the extent of the addition of seedlings along the coast of Kurau and Penyak.

Ecotourism in the Mangrove area of West Oesapa Village can be an advantage of alternative to the development of ecotourism within the framework of tourism management and its development by the area manager and the local community. The development of ecotourism is undivided by the participation or social involvement in planning and implementing program to support the preservation of mangrove forests, the preservation of the coastal environment, and the fulfillment of the socio-economic requirement. Therefore, social participation is primary element to analyzed data. This research used descriptive qualitative methods through the distribution of questionnaires to related parties and then compiled them quantitatively to showed certainty value. As a result, the level of social participation in the management of mangrove ecotourism in order to develop ecotourism areas in West Oesapa Village is poor. Supporting of the preservation is required by all related parties to provide knowledge and concern so that, programs of the ecotourism development program in the West Oesapa Village can run as expected. Oleh karena itu, partisipasi masyarakat menjadi unsur penting dalam pengelolaan data. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif melalui penyebaran kuisioner kepada pihak terkait dan kemudian dikaji secara kuantitatif untuk menunjukkan nilai nyata. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat partisipasi masyarakat dalam pengelolaan ekowisata mangrove guna mengembangkan kawasan ekowisata di Kelurahan Oesapa Barat sangat rendah. Dukungan dari pengelola dibutuhkan oleh semua pihak terkait untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan kepedulian agar program pengembangan ekowisata Kelurahan Oesapa Barat dapat berjalan sesuai harapan.Kata kunci: Ekowisata, ekowisata mangrove, partisipasi masyarakat.

Abstract Marine eco-fisherytourism is an approach to balancing the existing natural environments and conservation efforts to managing mangrove resources and exploring mangrove areas based on the adapting of silvofishery system support successfully the sustainable forest production. This study investigated the sustainability and profitability of mangrove areas by growing and expanding marine eco-fisherytourism areas. An observational study, intensive individual assessment using role-specific questions to the community around the mangrove area, local government, non-governmental organizations, and community leaders; and High-Resolution Satellite Imagery from Bing Maps, Google Maps, and Aerial Drone Photography has been collected. Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, dan Threats (SWOT) analysis is suggested to determine how the productivity of mangrove forests development contributes to marine eco-fisherytourism. This analysis shows that the internal factors analysis strategy (IFAS) is approximately 1,09 while the external factors analysis strategy (EFAS) slightly drops to -1,38. Diversification strategy indicates innovation gains across internal factors to reduce external factors. Integrating mangrove forest areas like cultivation, silvofishery, ecotourism areas; involving local communities, community leaders, and stakeholders in planning, implementation, evaluation, and conservation for the development ecotourism; supporting infrastructure mangrove ecotourism visitors, and together with the community in conducting innovation/diversification of management based on the utilization and conservation of mangrove resources.

Mangrove forest is one of the resources that has important functions and roles in a single ecosystem. The utilization of mangrove forest also has a fairly high economic value. The existence of mangrove forest has several functions such as a media for mangrove crab cultivation, mangrove cultivation, diversification of mangrove products and mangrove tourism. Some of these benefits were introduced by CSR of Badak LNG program to society around the mangrove forest in Bontang City for the economic improvement of coastal communities by exploiting the existing mangrove potential. Thus, the aim of this study is to calculate the economic value of the utilization of mangrove forest. The research method used is quantitative method by using benefit cost analysis. In brief, the results showed that the utilization of mangrove resources conducted by the community or local community groups such as mangrove crab cultivation, mangrove seedling, mangrove dodol, mangrove syrup and mangrove tourism. The highest direct benefits of mangrove area came from mangrove seedlings (71%), mangrove dodol (9.76%), mangrove tourism (6.82%), mangrove crab (6.47%) and mangrove syrup (5.96 %). Meanwhile the value of choice for mangrove area is 30 Ha. From the calculation results, the benefit obtained of mangrove forest selection was Rp 6.087.150,00 per year. Based on the mentioned value, it indicated that the respondents were willing to pay for the existence of mangrove forest ranging from Rp 50.000,00 – Rp 750.000,00. The total existence value of mangrove forest was Rp 4.375.000,00 for 50 respondents and the total value of existence per year was Rp 52,500,000.00. The total benefit of mangrove forest was Rp 4,749,322,671,00 per year. As the result, the 87% indirect benefit is the largest contributor to the benefits of mangrove forests in South Bontang District. While the second largest contributor is a direct benefit of 12%.

The article considers the developed model of the closed-cycle economy, which, along with economic parameters, takes into account pollution and consumption of building materials suitable for recycling. The model reflects the idea that the economic growth of a society alone cannot maintain or improve the existing quality of the environment, and for this it is necessary to increase the recycling rate. The purpose of the study is to reveal the factors influencing the increase in the level of recycling when introducing efficient and environmentally friendly systems for managing construction waste in megacities. The results of the study will affect the improvement of the quality and standards of life of the city population, the creation of favorable conditions for a safe, healthy and the prosperous life of people while ensuring the economic growth of the city. The process of the managing the growing volume of construction waste is reflected, recycling is emphasized.

The area of mangrove forests in Indonesia is currently only spanning as much as 3.4 milion acres, so there is a need for the participation of the government and community to maintain its sustainability. South Halmahera is the district with the largest mangrove area in the North Maluku Province. One of the mangrove areas in the District of South Halmahera is located at Sayoang Village, East Bacan Subdistrict Up until its eleventh founding anniversary, this district have never conducted an inventorizing of its mangroves, both ecological and social studies in the field of public. This study aims to analyze the compotition of mangrove species in Sayoang Village, East Bacan Subdistrict, South Halmahera, and identify the knowledge of surrounding communities of mangrove areas as protected areas. Data were retrieved using sampling method with applications terraced paths, and analyzed by calculating its important value index (INP) and its index value diversity (IVD). The public social data were taken using in-depth interviews and questionnaires. Results obtained from this study show that the mangrove forest in Sayoang Village, East Bacan District, Halmahera, consists of major mangrove species with as many as eleven species belonging to families Rhizophoraceae, Sonneratiaceae, Avicenniaceae, Meliaceae and Myrtaceae, and as many as three species of minor mangrove belonging to families of Loranthaceae, Acanthaceae, and Pteridaceae. The mangrove's species diversity and richness is and low, but it has high evenness. The results showed that 60% of total respondents know the benefit of mangrove as fish habitat, while for mangrove area as conserving areas, 50% of total respondent don't know the status of the area. The cutting problems happened in mangrove areas, 90% of total respondent know the activity and 85% of total respondent think that the logging activities in mangrove area is still allowed. The management activity of mangrove area in Sayoang village hasn't been conducted, either by the community or by local Dinas Kehutanan, and 53% of total respondent still wishing the mangrove can give more benefit economically.Key words: Mangrove forest, mangrove protected areas, community knowledge

This research and community engagement investigates an ancient Balinese ritual known as Sang Hyang Dedari. The dance is interrelated to an agricultural aspect of the traditional Balinese living. As the Balinese struggle to maintain their values from the constant threat of modernization and industrialization, this dance reveals the powerful impact of creating an awareness of socio-ecological equilibrium. The effort made by the villagers of Geriana Kauh, Karangasem, displays how local community rebuilds its environment based on their traditional ecological value. Analyzing Sang Hyang Dedari dance through phenomenological approach, thus, it can be discovered how the ritual sustains the social relations. The bodies of the dancers are the center of an elaborate nexus between people, nature and god. To understand how the dualism of sacred and profane bodies, this research utilizes the body theory by Maurice Merleau-Ponty. The importance of phenomenology as a theory relates to the understanding on how the ritual works as an event in its totality. Understanding the unity between the presence of the divine, nature and human. The output of this research and community engagement is a museum built in cooperation between University of Indonesia with the villagers of Geriana Kauh, Karangasem. As the performance and knowledge about Sang Hyang Dedari appeared to be scarce, this museum is a form of collaboration to retrace the history of Sang Hyang Dedari ritual, in an attempt to conserve the ancient knowledge.

Background: Mangrove forests are one of the unique natural ecosystems with high ecological value. Mangrove ecosystems are one of the areas with high productivity because there are litter and decomposition of litter and detritus occurs. This study was conducted to determine the association between gastropods and mangrove plants. Method: Research on gastropod association with mangrove plants in the coastal waters of Tiouw Village and Haria Village was conducted in January 2018. Results: This study found from gastropods 6 species namely variabilis strombus, microurceus strombus, Nassarius luridus, Strombus urceus, Cypraea annulus, Strombus, Strombus, Nerita squamulata. From the mangrove plants, 10 species were found: Avicennia eucalyptifolia, Avicennia lanata, Bruguiera sexangula, Rhizophora apiculata, Bruguiera hainessi, Aegiceras floridum R, Aegiceras curniculatum L, Bruguiera palviflora, Bruguiera exaristafa, Ceriops tagal. Conclusion: Association values ​​ranged from 0.741-0.9773 with positive and negative types. This means that both types of seagrass are often found together or not found together in the observation location

Mangroves provide benefits and various services to local communities living along coastal areas, particularly fishery communities. Fishery community perceptions are significant in determining attitudes towards improving mangrove conditions, which can also be addressed through restoration activities. This research was conducted to analyze fisheries communities perceptions, willingness to pay (WTP) for mangroves restoration, and mangrove forest management strategies. Field surveys were conducted from July-August 2019 and February-March 2020. Primary data were collected from respondents in four regions (Kalianda Regency, South Lampung Regency, Bandar Lampung City, and Pesawaran Regency) in Lampung Province, Indonesia, which consist of fishers, shrimp farmers, crab and wood seekers, and finfish farmers. The respondents were 193 people, and four experts were involved in the policy scenario analysis. Results revealed a gap in the value of WTP among fishery community groups, in which the average value for fishers is lower than shrimp farmers. The years of formal education significantly influenced the WTP for mangrove restoration. Based on the scenario analysis, scenario 01 become a priority strategy, where four policies (P1 = Mangrove ecotourism development in Lampung Bay; P2 = Mangrove knowledge education and training on processing mangrove based products; P3 = Restoration and conservation of mangrove forests; and P4 = Community-based management for mangrove forests utilization) show high likelihoods to be simultaneously implemented for mangroves management, with mangrove ecotourism policy as the most decisive policy. For future research, other explanatory variables can be added, such as information on family member characteristics, and to develop a bottom-up policy scenario by identifying and involving the role of the local community.

Mangrove forests have high ecological, economic and social values ??which function to maintain shoreline stability, protect beaches and riverbanks, filter and remediate waste, and to withstand floods and waves. The facts show that mangrove damage is everywhere, even the intensity of damage and its area tends to increase significantly. Many roles of mangroves require proper management to maintain the existence of mangroves. One way to determine the area of ??mangroves is by processing Landsat 8 satellite imagery. The stages of mangrove identification are carried out by using 564 RGB band merger, then separating the mangrove and non-mangrove objects. Next step is to analyze the density of mangroves using NDVI formula. To maximize monitoring of mangrove area, an android application was created that provides information on the area and density of mangroves at several locations, namely Clungup, Bangsong Teluk Asmara and Cengkrong from 2015 to 2018.The results showed that Landsat 8 satellite imagery can be used to identify changes in the area of ??mangrove forests with good accuracy, namely in the Clungup area of ??90% and Cengkrong of 86.67%. From processing results, the mangrove area in the Clungup area has also decreased from 2015 to 2017 but has increased in 2018 so that the application provides recommendations for embroidering mangroves in 2016 to 2017 and mangrove recommendations are maintained in 2018. As for Bangsong Teluk area Asmara and Cengkrong have increased the area of ??mangroves every year so that the application provides recommendations to be maintained from 2016 to 2018.

The main goal of our work is to develop an alternative building material based on “zero waste” objective, thus creating commercially valuable products from materials that are otherwise high-volume waste products. Fine dolomitic quarry dust is a waste product manufactured in several millions of cubic tons each year in the mining industry of Israel. Our study examines a sustainable and useful solution to use this quarry dust (QD) as a part of fly ash based geopolymeric systems. Mechanical, thermal and chemical properties were examined and analyzed.
