The COVID-19 pandemic that has recently hit various countries including Indonesia has resulted in major changes in various fields, including in the development of the education sector. The teaching and learning process has turned from face-to-face into an online method. However, there are several obstacles experienced by schools that implement an online learning system, one of them was the ability of teachers who do not understand various learning application platforms. In addition, the material provided by the teacher is not maximally acceptable to students because most teachers provide learning material from the pages of textbooks or teacher writings (scans, photos, or presentation files). For this reason, it is necessary to have variations in the provision of teaching materials to students by making interesting and creative learning videos using the Movavi Education Set. With learning videos, students can do lessons at home, repeat it, and can ask the teacher some points from it if they don't understand. By using Movavi Education Set, teachers are also free to be creative in making learning videos that can be shared through commonly used communication applications such as e-mail, WhatsApp, line, google classroom and other applications.

This study aimed to design and develop an online learning system to enhance thinking and innovation skills for higher education learners. The objectives were to (1) design a system diagram, system architecture and functional structure for online learning framed by the SECI process (Socialization, Externalization, Combination and Internalization) and Moodle, (2) develop an online learning management system (LMS) with a new plug-in using Moodle, and (3) evaluate system suitability for the development of students’ thinking and innovation skills. The research methodology was developed using a literature review to identify core components, focus group interviews to verify the process, software development by Moodle LMS, and assessments to measure learning outcome. Research instruments consisted of interview questions, Moodle LMS, and a self-assessment questionnaire. Assessment data was evaluated through pre-test and post-test analysis. Results revealed a statistically significant difference between pre- and post-test scores in both thinking and innovation skills, with the post-test score higher than pre-test score at a 0.01 level of significance. Findings revealed that online learning systems had a positive influence on students’ thinking and innovation skills.

During the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic and the national lockdowns implemented in countries around the world, many universities worldwide made the transition from face-to-face delivery to online learning using e-learning systems. However, the successful transition from traditional class-based learning to online learning depends greatly on understanding the challenges related to the implementation and use of e-learning systems, as well as the technical and management factors that need to be enhanced. This study aimed to investigate the challenges related to the use of e-learning systems in Jordanian universities and to explore the technical and management aspects that impacted the successful implementation and use of e-learning systems during COVID-19. To achieve the study objectives, a questionnaire was developed by the researcher and distributed online to lecturers working at Jordanian universities. A total of 184 lecturers participated in the study. Based on the findings, the study provides recommendations which will help higher education policy makers, university management teams, and software developers build strategies to ensure the successful implementation and use of e-learning systems during the COVID-19 pandemic.
