The purpose of this research is to describe the use of effective sentence based on the feature of effective sentences in students’ descriptive writing at class X AP3 SMK Negeri 1 Kota Jambi Academic Year 2017/2018. This research is descriptive qualitative. The data is taken from the students writing in a form of sentence in students descriptive writing. Based on the result of the analysis, it can be concluded that there are many mistakes found in using effectve sentence in students descriptive writing at class X AP3 SMK Negeri 1 Kota Jambi Academic Year 2017/2018. From the five effective features of sentence, they are: unity, parallel, stressing in sentence, provident and variation. Based on this result, it is suggested that the students should pay more attention in using effective sentence in writing descriptive text or other texts. Moreover, it is also suggested that the students should pay more attention in making good sentence. Key Words: analysis, effective sentence, descriptive text.

To support success in the future, the mastery of writing is significant for school students. However, acquiring this ability may take time because students have to learn to minimize errors. This research aims to describe the students’ errors in their writing of descriptive texts and finding out the degree of the errors made by the eight grade students of SMP N 6 Kebumen in the academic year of 2019 / 2020. The writer used descriptive qualitative method in conducting the study. The research involved 32 students of grade VIII in the academic year of 2019 / 2020 at SMP N 6 Kebumen as participants that were selected by purpose. Data in this research were in the forms of words and sentences showing the students’ writing ability of descriptive texts taken from the worksheet documents done by the students. The writer analysed the documents by using the surface strategy taxonomy proposed by Dulay et.all. (1982:152). Data validity was gained by using investigator triangulation. It is how examination of the credibility of the data is done by making use of other observers for checking the degree of trust of the data.The results of the research showed that there had been found 123 items of errors in the descriptive writings made by the students of grade VIII at SMP N 6 Kebumen in the academic year of 2019/2020. These errors consisted of four types. They covered errors of ommision, errors of misformation, errors of addition, and errors of misordering. The sequence of the errors from the most dominant type to the least one was errors of misformation (61%), errors of omission (20%), errors of addition (15%), and errors of misordering (4%). This research was  described the students’ errors in writing descriptive texts. Accordingly, this possibly helps students correct their errors to produce better writing later. This article aims to describe: the implementation of the SQ3R model to the ability to examine the characters contained in fiction texts in grade IV students of SDN Ganung Kidul 1 Nganjuk in the 2019/2020 Academic Year. This article is an descriptive qualitative research carried out through five stages, namely: (1) data collection; (2) determination of the sample; (3) recording data; (4) reduction; and (5) drawing conclusions. Data sources in this article are journals and books relating to the learning of the SQ3R model on learning to examine the characters contained in fiction texts. These data provide an overview of the application of the SQ3R model on the ability to examine the characters contained in fictional texts. Furthermore, the object of the research is the learning model SQ3R with a subject of 22 students. The conclusion of the article shows that: this SQ3R model is very good to be applied to the basic competencies of Indonesian language class IV semester II, namely the ability to examine the characters contained in fiction texts.

This paper attempts to describe the application of society based school and the implication of such a system as well as to depict the relationship between them toward students’ self-governance at SMU Alternative QT in the academic year of 2007/2008. The respondents of the study are 20 students of the second grade and 9 teachers. By applying descriptive qualitative research,It found that there is relationship between the application and the implication of society based school toward the students’ self-governance where the students become more ready to live in the future, realize their own personalities better, and have many skills.

Abstract:. The problem that often arise in the study is the lack of understanding of the hidden curriculum so the teacher does not know the positive impact of the hidden curriculum activity itself, despite the fact that the hidden curriculum activities are often carried out in the learning process. This study was aimed to describe the hidden curriculum implementation strategy on educational subjects of Al-Islam in SD Muhammadiyah I Yogyakarta Wirobrajan academic year 2017/2018. The method used in this research was descriptive qualitative and the  data collection technique used observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the implementation of the hidden curriculum on the educational subjects of Al-Islam had positive habit to students during the learning process by using expository  and inquiry strategy for the achievement of school goals along with the vision and mission of the school established to form Islamic generation, knowledgeable, noble, and cultured.Keywords: Hidden Curriculum, Al-Islam Education Abstrak: Permasalahan yang sering muncul di dalam pembelajaran adalah kurangnya pemahaman guru mengenai hidden curriculum sehingga guru tidak mengetahui dampak positif dari kegiatan hidden curriculum itu sendiri, meskipun pada kenyataannya kegiatan hidden curriculum sering dilaksanakan tanpa disengaja di dalam pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan strategi pelaksanaan hidden curriculum pada mata pelajaran pendidikan Al-Islam di SD Muhammadiyah Wirobrajan I Yogyakarta tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif kualitatif melalui teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan hidden curriculum pada mata pelajaran pendidikan Al-Islam sudah baik memberikan pembiasaan yang positif kepada siswa pada saat pembelajaran berlangsung dengan menggunakan srategi ekspositori dan inquiry demi tercapainya tujuan sekolah serta visi misi sekolah yang sudah ditetapkan yaitu terbentuknya  generasi islami, berilmu, berakhlak mulia, dan berbudaya.Kata Kunci: Hidden Curriculum, Pendidikan Al-Islam

Abstract: Writing a lesson objective is still a challenging task for the English Department students of Lambung Mangkurat University when they do their micro teaching practice in Praktek Pengenalan Lapangan (PPL) I Course. The formulated lesson objectives have to include the ABCD elements -Audience/Actor, Behavior, Condition, Degree- which require distinct characteristics for each. The study examines the lesson objectives of the lesson plans made by the English Department students of Lambung Mangkurat University for PPL I Course in the Academic Year of 2010/2011. There are 91 lesson plans were collected, and there are 91 lesson objectives investigated. The findings discuss the formulation of ABCD requirements in the lesson objectives. It is recommended that the students’ English proficiency must be enhanced because the formulation of a good lesson objective is closely related with the ability to produce grammatically correct sentence. Key words: Lesson Objectives, Audience, Behavior, Condition, Degree Abstrak: Menulis tujuan pembelajaran masih merupakan tugas yang menantang bagi mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris, Universitas Lambung Mangkurat ketika mereka melakukan praktek pembelajaran mikro dalam Mata Kuliah Praktek Pengenalan Lapangan (PPL) I. Tujuan pembelajaran yang dirumuskan harus mencakup unsur-unsur ABCD -Audiens/Aktor, Perilaku, Kondisi, Taraf- yang membutuhkan karakteristik berbeda untuk masing-masing unsur. Studi ini meneliti tujuan pembelajaran dari Rencana Pembelajaran (RP) yang dibuat oleh mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris, Universitas Lambung Mangkurat untuk Mata Kuliah PPL I Course di Tahun Akademik 2010/2011. Ada 91 rencana pembelajaran dikumpulkan, dan ada 91 tujuan pembelajaran yang diteliti. Temuan membahas perumusan dari syarat ABCD di tujuan pembelajaran. Disarankan bahwa kemampuan bahasa Inggris siswa harus ditingkatkan karena perumusan tujuan pembelajaran yang baik terkait erat dengan kemampuan untuk menghasilkan kalimat dengan tata bahasa yang benar. Kata kunci: Tujuan Pembelajaran, Audiens/Aktor, Perilaku, Kondisi, Taraf

This study aimed at finding out the process of code mixing, the reasons of using code mixing by English teacher of grade X and knowing the students’ responses on the use of code mixing used by their English teacher at SMAN Bali Mandara in the academic year 2014/2015. This research was conducted by using descriptive qualitative design. The instruments used in this study were observation sheet, audio recorder, interview guide and questionnaires. Accordingly, the data accumulation showed that there was 84 sentences, classified as insertion processes, and then 37 sentences belonged to alternation process, and the last there were 14 sentences, classified as congruent lexicalization processes. The reasons of using code mixing were, 1) to make intention of clarifying the speech content for interlocutor, 2) to be emphatic about something, 3) there is no appropriate word which can be understood by the students, 4) to help the teacher to create relax situation, and 5) to quote somebody else.

Masalah dalam penelitian ini tentang upaya meningkatkan kemampuan berbahasa anak melalui metode bercerita dengan media boneka tangan kelompok B RA AL-Muta’allimin Meteseh Tahun Ajaran 2017/2018. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuanberbahasa anak melalui metode bercerita dengan media boneka tangan.Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dan pengumpulan databerupa perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Penelitian ini dilakukan di RA Al Muta’allimin Meteseh.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkanbahwa kemampuan berbahasa anak dapat ditingkatkan melalui metode bercerita dengan media boneka tangan. Kata kunci : kemampuan berbahasa, metode bercerita, media boneka tangan. Abstract The problems of the research are effort of improving ability childrens’ languange through story telling with puppet’s hand in group of RA Al-Muta’allimin Meteseh in the academic year 2017/2018. The objectives of the research is to find out  ability children language through story telling with puppet hand media. The kind of this research was action research. The current research aims to identify: - 1- The level of the relationship between electronic games and the aggressive behavior of kindergarten children from the point of view of parents. 2- The significance of the differences in the views of parents about the relationship between electronic games and the aggressive behavior of kindergarten children. 3- The significance of the differences in the views of parents on the extent of the relationship of electronic games to the aggressive behavior of kindergarten children according to their academic achievement. The research sample included (140) children from Baghdad governorate for the academic year (2019-2020). To achieve the research objectives, the researcher adopted the scale of (Dr. Al-Sawalha, Al-Oweimer, Al-Alimat, 2015) after the validity and reliability was extracted, the resercher reached the following results - 1- There are statistically significant differences between the level of the relationship of electronic games and the aggressive behavior of kindergarten children from the point of view of parents. 2- There are no statistically significant differences in the parents ’views on the relationship of electronic games to the aggressive behavior of kindergarten children. 4- There are no statistically significant differences in the views of both parents regarding the extent of the relationship of electronic games with the aggressive behavior of kindergarten children according to their academic achievement. This study aims to describe actan scheme and functional scheme in the story entitled Kisah Agama Islam Masuk Di Kerajaan Banjar. The problem in this study is how does the form of actan structure and functional srtucture in the story. This study uses descriptive qualitative method and library technique. Base on the analysis it can be found that actan structure and functional structure in the story is very complex. There are five structure patterns that explained separately.   Nevertheles, there is only one main structure pattern (plot) that is V (five) pattern plot, while the others are only a side. Key words : structure, Greimas, folklore                                                                 AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan skema aktan dan skema fungsional yang terdapat dalam cerita rakyat yang berjudul Kisah Agama Islam Masuk di Kerajaan Banjar. Adapun masalah yang terdapat dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimanakah struktur skema aktan dan skema fungsional yang terdapat dalam cerita rakyat yang berjudul Kisah Agama Islam Masuk di Kerajaan Banjar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik studi pustaka. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dapat diketahui bahwa struktur aktan dan model fungsional yang terdapat dalam cerita rakyat Agama Islam Masuk di Kerajaan Banjar sangat kompleks. Hal itu disebabkan ditemukan lima pola struktur yang setiap fungsi unsurnya  dapat diurai secara terpisah. Meskipun demikian, hanya terdapat satu pola struktur (alur) utama saja yaitu struktur alur pola V (lima) sedangkan empat pola yang lain hanya merupakan alur sampingan.Kata kunci: struktur, Greimas, cerita rakyat

Nowadays, competence mastery is highly required in order to compete in the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) Era. The purpose of this research is to figure out the students’ understanding and readiness dealing with the ASEAN Economic Community as well as the possible encountering problems when competing in the ASEAN Economic Community Era. This research uses a descriptive-qualitative approach conducted at Economics Faculty involving respondents of office administration education department students in the academic year of 2014/2015. The data are collected through questionnaires. The research results show that based on the aspect of communication competence, students are adequately ready with the percentage of 71.46%; based on the aspect of capability competence, they are categorized into high by 64.72%; and their knowledge competence has already reached 73.14%.Keywords: Labor markets in the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) Era, Students’ readiness, Working competence,
