Resumo: O objetivo é apresentar os caminhos metodológicos do projeto “Jovem e Consumo Midiático em Tempos de Convergência” durante os anos de 2015 a 2020. As experiências científicas perpassaram um processo evolutivo que foi iniciado com pesquisas anteriores até o momento desta, e envolveu pesquisadores (docentes e discentes de pós-graduação e graduação) da Universidade Federal de Sergipe (UFS), da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) e da Universidade Federal do Pará (UFPA). A pesquisa teve inspiração etnográfica, seguindo a proposição de Angrosino (2009) e Flick (2009). Dentre os resultados, percebemos como esses jovens são bastante ativos nas mídias sociais, especialmente através dos dispositivos móveis, apesar da pequena cobertura dos serviços de telefonia; além da centralidade do Facebook e do WhatsApp para esse público ao consumir conteúdos imagéticos, audiovisuais e textuais, e fazer a interlocução nas suas redes sociais para troca de mensagens, e pelas performances adotadas em seus perfis.Palavras-chave: Metodologia; Etnografia; Pesquisa Qualitativa; Pesquisa Quantitativa. Methodological challenges of the research “youth and media consumption in times of convergence in “deep Brazil”Abstract: The purpose of the article is to present the methodological paths of the project “Youth and Media Consumption in Times of Convergence”, during the years 2015 to 2020. The scientific experiences have passed through an evolutionary process that started with previous research until the moment of this one, which involves researchers (teachers, graduate and undergraduate students) at the Federal University of Sergipe (UFS), Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) and Federal University of Pará (UFPA). The research had ethnographic inspiration, following the proposition of Angrosino (2009) and Flick (2009). Among the results, we see how these young people are very active on social media, especially through mobile devices, despite the small coverage of telephone services; in addition to the centrality of Facebook and WhatsApp for this audience by consuming imagery, audiovisual and textual content and making interlocution with their networks through messages and in the performances adopted in their created profiles.Keywords: Methodology; Ethnography; Qualitative Research; Quantitative Research.

Este trabalho apresenta os resultados de uma investigação de natureza qualitativa realizada em aulas de educação física em escolas públicas da cidade de Porto Alegre—RS. O propósito do estudo foi examinar a relação entre a produção de conhecimento e 3 prática profissional de futuros professores de educação física. A pesquisa enfocou o ensino de um elemento específico da cultura física brasileira (futebol) a estudantes de 5a a 8a série, durante o período de um semestre acadêmico, por 11 estudantes em fase de conclusão de curso, da Escola de Educação Física da Universidade Federal de Rio Grande do Sul.  This work presents the results of a qualitative investigation carried out in physical education classes in the public schools of the city of Porto Alegre -RS. The purpose of the study was to examine the relationship between the production of knowledge in physical education and the professional practice of future physical education teachers. The research focused on the teaching of a specific element of the Brazilian physical culture (soccer) to students of 5th to 8th grades during a period of an academic term by 11 final year undergraduate students of the Faculty of Physical Education of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul.

Objective: to understand the meaning of care for nursing technicians who work in the Surgical Center of a general hospitalin the western border of Rio Grande do Sul/Brazil. Methods: this is a qualitative research, with an exploratory and descriptiveapproach. The technique used for data collection was a semi-structured interview and notes from the field diary wereavailable for support. The respondents were eight nursing technicians of the Surgical Center. Results: it can be emphasizedthat participants value psychological, social and affective aspects of patients and their families, also expressing a holisticview in regards to caring for themselves or others. Conclusion: in the referred unit, care is an activity involving multipleaspects, patients, families and staff. The meanings valued by professionals reveal detachment from technical aspects to valuepsychological, social and emotional aspects of care.

The present article deals with a qualitative research cut in the Graduate Program in Science Education of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, with the aim of bringing the research into the theory and practical of the school context to qualify science teaching in high school. The investigations were carried out in two public schools of the state of Rio Grande do Sul at Osório and Pelotas, in which it was sought to propagate the teaching of activities related to scientific knowledge through a research group during science classes. The results were discussed by Morin (2000), Maturana (2001) and Demo (2015), making possible to think of new perspectives of research work in the school context, surpassing the vision of content transmission and seeking interlocutors in a research as a methodological strategy.

Students use social media for social activities more than learning but studies on the proficiency for learning has been less researched. This study therefore assessed the undergraduate students’ proficiency’ level of utilizing social media for learning in Nigeria. The study employed the quantitative research method. Four hundred and fifty (450) respondents were randomly sampled across universities in Nigeria on which a structured questionnaire was administered on the students. The research questions were answered using mean, while t-test statistic was used to test the two hypotheses. Results of the research revealed that the proficiency level of undergraduates on the utilization of social media for learning was high and there was no significant difference between male and female undergraduates' utilization and undergraduates' proficiency towards the utilization of social media for learning. The study concluded that undergraduate students have good proficiency level on the utilization of social media for learning. Abstrak Siswa-siswa sekarang banyak menggunakan media sosial sekadar untuk aktivitas sosial ketimbang belajar, hanya saja kajian untuk hal ini relatif minim. Penelitian ini mengkaji tingkat kemahiran mahasiswa S1 dalam penggunaan media sosial untuk pembelajaran di Nigeria. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dan melibatkan 450 responden yang dipilih secara acak dari seluruh universitas di Nigeria menggunakan kuesioner terstruktur untuk para siswa. Pertanyaan penelitian ini dijawab menggunakan rata-rata dan analisis statistik t-test digunakan untuk menguji hipotesisnya. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa level kemahiran/penguasaan mahasiswa dalam menggunakan media sosial untuk pembelajaran tinggi dan tidak ada perbedaan antara mahasiswa laki-laki dan perempuan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa mahasiswa S1 memiliki tingkat kemahiran yang bagus dalam menggunakan media sosial untuk pembelajaran.

inclusive education is still a controversial, non-consensual issue that generates doubts and insecurities for educators. In this sense, this article aims to reflect on the educational reality found by this public, and present the work done by the NAPNE (Center for Assistance to People with Specific Educational Needs) of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Rio Grande do Sul Regarding the methodology used, this is a qualitative research, with a theoretical nature, through a literature review of the current legislation and the IFRS Institutional Pedagogical Project.

The objective of the present study is to determine the transparency level of Rio Grande do Sul state’s municipalities, identifying the variables that explain it. This is a documental and quantitative research, observing the most recent information disclosed in the state’s transparency websites, identifying if the data disclosure is correct, through the Municipal Public Management’s Transparency Index, as well as the regression analysis and descriptive statistics. In this way, it is possible to observe that most state’s municipalities present an average level of transparency. Besides, it was observed that, from the eleven socioeconomical variables that were analyzed, only five are capable of influencing the transparency index. Therefore, many measures must still be adopted by the state’s municipal managements, so that they enforce the Access to Information Law and fulfill all of the aspects that come from the transparency.

The State of Rio Grande do Sul (RS) has intense water use for irrigated rice production, generating concerns regarding the quality of this water, which will be returned to the water sources at the end of the harvest. Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate the quality of water from rice fields and yield as a function of drainage time.  The treatments were: T1: drainage from full flowering (R4) according to Counce et al. (2000); T2: 7 days after R4; T3: 14 days after R4; T4: 21 days after R4; T5: 28 days after R4; T6 (control): 35 days after R4. At the moment of drainage the leaf height was quantified and the water samples were then collected, where the pH, electrical conductivity, nitrogen (ammonium and nitrate), phosphorus, potassium and sodium solution in solution were quantified of grain yield. All parameters related to water quality studied are in accordance with CONAMA Resolution 357/2005. The productivity results indicate that it is possible to drain irrigated rice from 14 days after full flowering.

This study aimed to identify and interpret the municipal public managers in the use of the electronic portal of the State of Rio Grande do Sul. Thus, the applied and quantitative research was carried out with 62 municipal managers from the municipalities of Rio Grande do Sul. As a result, it was observed that the electronic portal is seen as process innovation, which minimizes public administration and user spending, and enables process improvements for the citizen. It was also observed that the variables were grouped into three factors: technology, processes and interaction, with no variance between the groups by mesoregions. Finally, it was observed that there is a moderate positive correlation between Technology and Processes, Technology and Interaction, and Processes and Interaction.

Metadiscourse marker is one of determining indicators of the quality of the writers� writing. Metadiscourse markers enable the writers to interact with the readers effectively. What commonly happens to many undergraduate students studying English as a foreign language is that they are not able to develop an engagement between themselves, their texts, and their readers. Thus, this study investigates the types of metadiscourse markers used by Unimus EFL learners in final project introduction sections, and markers that are frequently used by them in their writing. By using qualitative and quantitative research method, seven introduction sections of final project of Unimus EFL learners focusing on qualitative and qualitative research methods were chosen purposively. As result, the study revealed that in writing introduction sections, the students used various metadiscourse markers, including interactive resources (transitions, frame markers, endophoric markers, evidentials, and code glosses) and interactional resources (hedges, boosters, attitude markers, engagement markers, and self-mensions). Among those categories, interactive resources were found to be frequently used by the learners rather than interactional resources. It means that the writers tended to give attention to and guided the readers through the text by establishing their interpretations explicitly rather than involving the readers in the argument through the use of markers in interactional dimension.

O presente trabalho analisa o desenvolvimento do turismo no espaço rural das propriedades do Vale dos Vinhedos, em Bento Gonçalves, Estado do Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil. Nele, descrevem-se as características da região, seus vinhedos, estabelecimentos e vinícolas responsáveis pela conquista da 1ª Denominação de Origem Vale dos Vinhedos do Brasil. O roteiro turístico caracteriza-se pela beleza da paisagem, pelo espírito empreendedor dos produtores rurais, pela valorização do patrimônio e da cultura. O problema desta pesquisa é saber se o turismo rural e o enoturismo são alternativas econômicas para os produtores rurais do Vale dos Vinhedos. O objetivo geral consiste em analisar as potencialidades do Vale e identificar os fatores que interferem no desenvolvimento do turismo. A metodologia utilizada baseia-se em pesquisa de campo, observação e pesquisa documental. Para tanto, foram realizadas entrevistas com dois produtores rurais, quatro proprietários de estabelecimentos vinícolas e um representante da Associação de Produtores de Vinhos Finos do Vale dos Vinhedos. A pesquisa qualitativa consistiu na descrição pormenorizada das observações e das entrevistas realizadas. Os resultados mostram que o empreendedorismo dos produtores rurais é um fator importante para o desenvolvimento econômico, identificando-se aspectos merecedores da atenção dos poderes públicos e empreendedores do turismo.Palavras-chave: Turismo no espaço rural. Vale dos Vinhedos.RESUMENThe present work analyzes the development of tourism in the rural area of Vale dos Vinhedos properties, in Bento Gonçalves, State of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. It describes the characteristics of the region, its vineyards, establishments and wineries responsible for the conquest of the 1st Denomination of Origin Vale dos Vinhedos do Brasil. The tourist route is characterized by the beauty of the landscape, the enterprising spirit of the rural producers, the valuation of heritage and culture. The problem with this research is whether rural tourism and wine tourism are economic alternatives for rural producers in the Vale dos Vinhedos. The overall objective is to analyze the potential of the Valley and identify the factors that interfere in the development of tourism. The methodology used is based on field research, observation and documentary research. For that, interviews were conducted with two farmers, four owners of wineries and one representative of the Association of Fine Wine Producers of Vale dos Vinhedos. The qualitative research consisted of a detailed description of the observations and interviews. The results show that the entrepreneurship of the rural producers is an important factor for the economic development, identifying aspects deserving the attention of the public authorities and entrepreneurs of the tourism.Keywords: Rural tourism.
