The paper researches the use of audiovisual material for formation of aviation subject matter competence of aviation translation students. The research involved a pedagogical experiment aimed at the verification of the hypothesis that systemic use of content-oriented audiovisual material accompanied by a specifically developed complex of training activities enhances students’ knowledge of the professionally relevant subject matter and skills in adequate use of aviation terminology and technical language, which visibly improves students’ professional competence as future translators in the aviation industry. The conducted experiment yielded positive results and confirmed the research hypothesis. As a result of the experimental teaching, the students showed better skills in using aviation terminology, abbreviations and concepts, higher lexicographic awareness, improved their ability to adequately use electronic and printed reference materials when translating aviation texts and to perform translation/interpreting in conformity with grammar, semantic and stylistic norms of radiotelephony communication and aviation standards. The experiment gave convincing evidence that audiovisual material combined with specially designed activities facilitates the formation of the aviation subject matter competence of aviation translation students, which is the basis for their successful professional performance. The audiovisual material and the training activities proved to be effective teaching tools in the framework of a content-oriented structure of aviation translation students’ aviation subject matter competence which was developed by the authors. Though the experimental teaching was done in the course on English-Ukrainian and Ukrainian-English aviation translation, the research results may surely be of relevance for other language pairs as well.

The need for reflection and in-depth study of issues related to the multilingual policy, where the knowledge of the native language simultaneously stimulates knowledge and learning of other languages is obvious in the context of the dynamic changes taking place in Kazakhstan. Existing world models of multilingual education represent a wide range of forms, productive use of which depends on many factors (language situation, economic and social conditions, historical and cultural aspects and so on). There is no doubt that multilingual education programs conditioned by the logic of development of Kazakhstan and the process of international integration are in demand in the Kazakhstan's educational system. This is due to high academic motivation of students and practitioners conditioned by the desire to improve professional competence and competitiveness in the conditions of Kazakhstan's international integration. However, it should be noted that despite the measures taken for the implementation of multilingual education and the first positive results of the pilot models many issues related to the widespread introduction of multilingual education system in the country have not yet been resolved. The analysis of the languages functioning in Kazakhstan revealed the prerequisites for the formation of multilingual person. We defined language preferences of citizens, their value priorities, related to ongoing multilingual policy, the influence of non-native (studied) languages to their native languages by using sociolinguistic methods. All these measures have allowed seeing the prospects of strengthening and development of the state, Russian and English languages, effectiveness of the language policy and possible steps to resolve these problems.     Keywords: Language policy; identity; Language situation; Language modernisation; Multilingual education; Multilingualism, Trinity of languages

The learning media used by teachers are still relatively simple, such as student worksheets and student books published by the Ministry of Education and Culture and PowerPoint and learning videos that are already on YouTube. Not yet found a teacher who uses VideoScribe and PowerPoint-based multimedia. The majority of PowerPoints are only used as a media presentation with simple features. Learning with the media used by teachers is still not too exciting for students' attention. Students assume that the learning media used by teachers have nothing new that makes students interested in understanding the subject matter. The impact that occurs is the lack of interest, motivation, and enthusiasm of students in participating in learning; consequently, student learning achievement is still below the KKM. The solution to the problem offered is related to the existing problem is the implementation of training activities and mentoring the development of learning media based on Sparkol VideoScribe for Muhammadiyah 4 Yogyakarta Middle School teachers. The effectiveness of this training was measured by the effectiveness questionnaire and the number of teachers who can use VideoScribe.

Abstract This paper examines how the shift to knowledge and innovation economy has created new sites for the commodification of language and communication in the context of organizational consulting. The data come from a consultant-led development and training program of the management teams of a Finnish educational organization. In the study, the year-long training was videotaped (45 h) and followed ethnographically. By using rhetorical discourse analysis as a method, we examine how the consultant-led training activities present the role of language and communication in changing working life. The results show how the activities factualize the transformation of work and the centrality of language in this transformation. They conceptualize language and communication as key elements of professional competence and resources for organizational improvement. Moreover, they construct causal relations between organizational success and the ability to assess and modify one’s own communicative behavior. With its focus on language awareness and contextual variation the training differs from settings examined in previous studies where the mechanisms of commodification are based on standardization practices. In conclusion, we reflect the training programs both as indicators and vehicles for social change and discuss how they act as spaces where the new worlds of work are discursively construed.

Education and training process employees at this time still use many fundamental methods that have some weaknesses, such as the education and training process can only be done with the condition of face-to-face meetings between participants and instructors in class, the costs incurred to organize are expensive, the amount of accommodation and transportation costs , lack of motivation to attend training, lack of control from the leadership of employee training activities and possible loss of modules and subject matter. This research aims to build E-Learning that can help leaders, staff, instructors, and participants in carrying out the education and training process more effectively and efficiently. Besides this website-based e-learning can also be used as a monitoring tool for leaders to control the activities and results of employee training. This research was conducted at PT. Pegadaian which is an Indonesian State-Owned Enterprise engaged in finance by interviewing employees and leaders related to education and training activities that have taken place so far. The E-Learning Control Based Website on Employee Education and Training is designed using the PHP programming language with the Laravel Framework and MySql Database. By using this system, the education and training process can be done anytime and anywhere, ease in accessing subject matter, comfort in discussing with instructors or with fellow participants as well as easy access for leaders to monitor and control training activities conducted by employees

Teachers have a crucial role in fostering and directing students to compete in all fields. The era of globalization requires teachers to improve their pedagogical competence, especially in professional competence. Teachers are needed to be proficient in understanding the subject matter, but teachers must also be able to use and utilize technology as a medium and source of learning. It is vital to provide workshops or training to create and use interactive learning media for smooth learning during the current COVID-19 pandemic. The workshop was held for three days with details on the provision of material on the first day, the practice of making media on the second day, and evaluation of the products produced by the participants on the third day, which was held from Saturday, August 5, to Monday, August 7, 2021, at SDN 3 Sembalun Bumbung. The workshop results illustrate that participants have been able to create interactive learning media using the AutoPlay Media Studio 8.0 application.

The article is dedicated to the study of professionally relevant personality traits, abilities and orientations of the officials of correctional facilities, holding senior positions in comparison to those of their subordinates. The traits are an integral part of the psychological and educational component of their professional competence. They reflect the most general, invariant psychological characteristics which ensure the success in their professional performance irregardless of their function or position. The hypothesis was that officials holding senior positions possess the professionally relevant traits to a greater degree, than their subordinates do. The processing of the obtained data demonstrated that senior officers surpass their subordinates in a number of professionally relevant traits (communicative, intellectual, emotional and volitional qualities). This qualities can be viewed as the psychological foundation for the formation of the subject position in professional development. The results are integrated into prospective studies of the factors and conditions for professional and personal development of penitentiary personnel. They are also used in designing programs for fostering their professional competence.
