Problem statement. Training problems for future professionals in information, library and archival activities (professionals in the field of information and information analysis, archival, library affairs, museum studies, program and program management, as well as database administrators, communication systems analysts and consolidated information analysts, etc.) are of great importance nowadays. Modern society needs such specialists, because the amount of information (which must be qualitatively processed) is constantly increasing, the level of information culture of mankind is constantly growing, the pace of development of information and communication technologies is accelerating. An important condition for the training of future competent professionals is the analysis of how satisfied they are today with the educational services provided by the university, because it significantly affects the motivation to learn, and its presence is a driving force in achieving goals. In this regard, the study becomes relevant because it will comprehensively help solve the problem of improving the quality of training of information, library and archival professionals, and in the future — their competitiveness in today’s labor market. The methodology of this study is represented by methods of analysis (study of documentary information — educational program, curricula; questionnaires), control questions (questionnaires of students), selection (compulsory subjects), systematization (bringing the results of the questionnaire into a certain system that allows them explanation from the standpoint of a systems approach), comparison, which made it possible to identify certain features in the results of the study. The result of this study is to determine the level of satisfaction of masters in information, library and archival affairs at the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” the quality of the educational component as an important condition for their training. The novelty of the study is that for the first time, using the google-form, the level of satisfaction of future masters in information, library and archival affairs with the educational component of professional training at the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” was investigated and analyzed. The percentage of satisfaction of undergraduates with each compulsory discipline is calculated, the obtained results are summarized and brought into a single system. The practical significance of the article is that its results can be used in further research on the selected topic. At the same time, the scientific results of this study can serve as material in the process of improving the educational and professional program of the specialty.

Curiosity is a significant educational component behind human learning and is vital for a learner to sustain motivation and engagement in both face-to-face and online learning environments. Positive feedback has the potential to support learning by enhancing competence, confidence, and curiosity. Informative feedback at the right time is the sought-after goal in traditional classrooms and is equally important for the learning design within a digital educational environment. Individual differences such as personality, gender, learning style, and curiosity trait can play a crucial role in how feedback is received and acquired knowledge is demonstrated in a different context by a learner. This paper proposes to exploit the benefits of positive feedback in a statistics game by establishing a connection between feedback and curiosity through the lens of the selfdetermination theory of motivation. It presents a work-in-progress psychological theory-based conceptual framework to foster curiosity by means of game-based learning and gamification approaches.

Asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases (COPD) are highly prevalent chronic lung diseases that require ongoing self-management, which itself is often suboptimal. Therefore, telemonitoring has been used to help patients measure their symptoms, share data with healthcare providers and receive education and feedback to improve disease management. In this study, we conducted a narrative review of recent evidence on the effectiveness of telemonitoring for asthma and COPD in adults. Of the thirteen identified studies, eleven focused on COPD and two focused on asthma. All studies were reviewed, and effects were compared between intervention and care as usual groups. Of the study interventions, seven showed a positive outcome on at least one outcome measure, and six had no significant results on any of the outcome measures. All of the interventions with a positive outcome included an educational component, while only one of the six interventions without positive outcomes included an educational component. We conclude that telemonitoring interventions for asthma and COPD seem more effective if they included an educational component regarding different aspects of self-management.

Bihus 1Lviv Politechnic National University 2Lviv Polytechnic National University 3Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Department of International economic and Investment Activity Purpose. The purpose of this article is to improve theoretical, methodological, and applied foundations of the study of the educational component of human potential. Design/methodology/approach. Scientific works of domestic and foreign scientists studying issues related to human potential, labor market, and education financing, as well as official statistical data that characterize these issues, formed the information, theoretical, and methodological basis of the study. To achieve this purpose, the article uses a set of scientific methods that have ensured conceptual integrity of the study, in particular: the method of theoretical generalization and the abstract method were used to systematize scientific results and formulate conclusions; the method of structural analysis was used to study education costs in terms of individual components; concentration and differentiation analysis was used to study distribution of costs of financial agents; dynamic modeling was used to build trends in the number of educational institutions, the number of students, and the total cost of education; the tabular method was used for a compact representation of quantitative indicators; the graphical method was used to visualize the results of the study, etc. Findings. The functioning of the country's education system has a decisive influence on the quality of human potential. Graduates who complete a higher education program are more likely to work in knowledgeintensive jobs and earn higher salaries. Workers with higher education are usually more likely to be formally employed and less likely to lose their jobs. Effectiveness of the education system depends on its financing. The results of the analysis of data on expenditures on education in Ukraine indicate the following patterns: most funds are allocated for educational services provided by higher education institutions, for the first stage of secondary education and primary education; private firms and corporations most often allocate their funds for post-secondary education; the share of state institutions among financial agents carrying out activities in the field of education reaches about 90 %; the maximum costs of the public sector are observed at the ISCED 0-3 educational levels; the network of institutions and the contingent of students receiving vocational, technical, and higher education are decreasing; there is a declining trend in the level of education expenditures in the Consolidated Budget expenditures. The rise in the price of educational services against the background of an unbalanced labor market leads to a loss of knowledge; additional retraining expenses; increase in social benefits. Practical implications. The materials presented in the article can be useful to representatives of institutions and scientists whose activities are related to the financing of education and the labor market. Originality/value. In the article, the author. The level of education of an employee is considered as one of the components of their potential. This component allows an employee to compete successfully in the labor market. In Ukraine, financial resources of the population cover more than 30 % of doctoral studies and their equivalents, as well as about 25 % of expenditures cover higher education. Given the spread of poverty and the weakening of state support for higher education, Ukrainians will face the problem of the provision of financial support for universities.

Background and Objective: Function-Focused Care (FFC) aims to optimize daily functioning of older people by changing clinical nursing practice of care professionals. Recently, three multicomponent FFC-programs were implemented in the Dutch home, nursing home, and hospital care setting. Process evaluations were conducted including eight focus groups with 45 care professionals and one focus group with 8 involved researchers. The objective was to synthesize findings and provide lessons learned and implications to optimize future programs. Methods: A thematic synthesis was conducted of nine focus groups using the COREQ checklist. Deductive coding analysis was applied using Nvivo Software. Results: Six themes emerged from the focus groups: four related to those components to be preserved in future programs (policy and environment, education, goal setting, and coaching), and two related to the impact of FFCprograms, and its facilitators and barriers in practice. FFC-related policy and a facilitating environment were considered prerequisites to successfully implement FFC. Education sessions could be improved by being more interactive, containing sufficient behavior change components, and tailoring its content to participants’ needs. Goal setting was poorly delivered and should receive more attention in practice. Coaching was considered pivotal to consolidate FFC in practice. Conclusions and relevance to clinical practice: We suggest to develop an advanced FFC-program for various care settings, which allows for tailoring to setting-specific elements and requirements of participants. Lessons learned include addressing all FFC-components jointly, including a comprehensive interactive educational component that primarily focusses on behavior change in care professionals. Managers should support FFC in practice by ensuring sufficient time and staff resources.

Audit approaches and methods are now well advanced in palliative care, especially in clinical audit. This chapter discusses these approaches and methods, and addresses such questions as ‘Why perform clinical audit in palliative medicine?’ and ‘How do we assess the quality and safety of palliative care?’ It discusses the evolving terms of audit, quality assurance, quality improvement, safety, and governance, and how to apply clinical audit to palliative medicine. Audit requires resources, and so it must be sure to benefit patients and families, be kept as simple and efficient as possible, and have a strong educational component. There is also a need to develop and test methods of audit in a global healthcare context. If palliative approaches extend backwards to include patients earlier in care, rather than those just near to death, then the audit could become a means for clinical dialogue and education between specialties.
