The results of this study indicate that the Peoples Friendly Samsat application (Samsat Rame) is not efficient because service inputs are still burdensome for service users. Not yet effective because it failed to achieve the goals desired by the organizers. As well as the poor quality of results due to supporting factors that seem to make the Samsat Rame application done because it is urgent without thinking about the long term. While the inhibiting factor has more influence on the discontinuation of the Samsat Rame innovation. One of the suggestions that can be put forward is to increase socialization and promotion to the people of Gresik Regency. Keywords: Public Service, Tax service innovation, Samsat Rame (Samsat Ramah Merakyat)

This chapter discusses emerging issues and technologies, such as ethical responsibilities in a changing technological environment, the use of analytics and artificial intelligence, the evolution of communications technology, and the growth of block chain and mobile apps technology. Mobile apps technology is a very exciting development because the nature of the applications is very personal and target specific customer needs, hence gradually resolving the issue of explicitly knowing the customer and meeting its personal needs through the concept of personas. This chapter provides numerous examples of how the various technological developments can be specifically implemented to enhance public service delivery in the digital era. In this context, Chapter 12 has two important implications, namely the impact of the technology trends to revolutionise public service delivery on the operations of government entities and users of government services in the future.

Far from being relegated to history's dustbin by technological developments, a public service rationale is as pertinent as ever in the digital era, the capabilities of which lend themselves to the development of public service media. This article explores calls to regulate digital media platforms like Facebook and Google as public utilities, but concludes that, with the exception of regulations to facilitate user mobility and platform/network neutrality, it makes more sense to focus on the development of a robust public service media sector for the digital era. Such a sector would broaden the scope of public service beyond content production and distribution to include social media, search and other information-sorting and communication utilities. The article considers the rationale and scope for such a program, arguing that an era of information glut poses challenges that are distinct from those associated with the broadcast era of relative content scarcity.

Broadcasting markets in Europe have traditionally been highly regulated, with large public subsidies seen as necessary to ensure that cultural and citizenship goals can be realised. While being outside of Polanyi’s purview when he wrote his seminal work The Great Transformation, these 'markets' exist alongside other public interest norms; in his words, they are embedded in society.1 In the last 20 years, broadcasting markets in Europe have undergone something of a 'transformation', in the sense that technological advances have facilitated a shift away from public provision towards a market-based model. The removal of spectrum constraints has led to new platforms and a proliferation of channels. More importantly, with the emergence of conditional access systems has come the growth of subscription and pay-per-view television, offering significant new revenue streams and the development of new markets in premium content. Latterly, non-linear television services have seen a shift in audience viewing behaviour, and the convergence between television and the internet heralds new, innovative modes of delivery of, and changing pricing mechanisms for, broadcasting services. So, as a consequence of technological developments, we see the rise of a new type of commodity in broadcasting services. Whereas once, such goods were universally available partly because their consumption was physically non-excludable, now technology facilitates charging and the emergence of a market based on willingness and ability to pay.

Public broadcasting institutions have existed as central and publicly funded national institutions, providing services in the public interest. The coincidence of technological, political and economic circumstances in the last 20 years or so, however, has challenged their monopoly position. Technological developments – specifically digitalisation – have expanded spectrum availability. In some cases, public television has been commercialised, privatised or marginalised by the introduction of commercial channels. This article focuses on a specific case study of the Slovene public broadcaster. It addresses the fate of public service television in the digital and post-communist era, tracing the transformation from state broadcasters to the era of digital delivery, audience fragmentation and commercial nationalism. It explores, on the one hand, the way in which public service broadcasters have embraced and capitalised on new forms of digital distribution and, on the other, how they continue to embrace national(istic) and commercial imperatives.

At this time technology has developed rapidly, without exception in the field of education. One of the technological developments in education is tutoring. Many students still need tutoring or private lessons to improve their abilities and meet the set passing grade standards. In addition, the catching power of each child in receiving subject matter at school is different so that not all are able to understand the material using offline or online methods. The purpose of this application is to make it easier and help the difficulties experienced by students and teachers to connect with each other and carry out private lessons. This application uses the method of observation and literature study. The method of making this application is the SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) prototype model. The expected results from making this application are so that teachers and students can connect with each other and carry out course activities easily according to the criteria desired by both parties. From this application students can choose based on the level of education and subjects they want to take and the rates offered by the teacher. Students and teachers can also choose the place of learning they want, such as studying at home, on video cameras or at the teacher's place.

UNSTRUCTURED Epilepsy is a common neurological disorder worldwide and Anti-Epileptic Drugs (AEDs) therapy is the cornerstone of its treatment. It has a laudable aim of achieving seizure freedom and minimal, if any, Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs). Too often, AEDs treatment is a long-lasting journey, in which ADRs have a crucial role in its administration. Therefore, from pharmacovigilance perspective, the detection of the ADRs of AEDs is a task of utmost importance. Typically, it is accomplished by applying data mining algorithms to a relevant data from spontaneous reporting systems. Despite their wide adoption for pharmacovigilance, the passiveness and high under-reporting ratio associated with them have encouraged considering other data source such as electronic health databases and pharmaceutical databases. Social media is the most recent alternative data source with many promising potentials to overcome the shortcomings of the traditional ones. Although, in the literature, some attempts have investigated the validity and utility of social media for ADRs detection of different groups of drugs, none of them was dedicated to the ADRs of AEDs. Hence, this paper presents a novel investigation of the validity and utility of social media as an alternative data source for the ADRs detection of AEDs. To this end, a dataset of consumers' reviews from two online health communities have been collected. The dataset is preprocessed, the unigram, bigram, and trigram are generated, and the ADRs of each AED are extracted with the aid of consumer health vocabulary and ADRs lexicon. Three widely used measures, namely proportional reporting ratio, reporting odd ratio, and information component are used to measure the association between each ADR and AED. The results, lists of signaled ADRs for each AED, are validated against Side Effect Resource (SIDER), a widely used ADRs database, in terms of precision of the ADRs detection. The validation results, 73%-74%, indicate the validity of the online health communities for the detection of AEDs ADRs. Furthermore, the lists of signaled AEDs ADRs are analyzed to answer questions regarding the common ADRs for all AEDs and the mutual similarities between AEDs in terms of their signaled ADRs. The consistency of the drawn answers with the existing pharmaceutical knowledge suggests the utility of the online health communities' data for knowledge discovery tasks of AEDs.
