One of the parts of “Pathological physiology” teaching taking into account the specifics of the training of foreign students, is development, creation and application of innovative teaching methods in the educational process with the maximum degree of schematization, systematization and visualization of educational material. This contributes not only to the transformation of educational information into students' knowledge and skills, but also to the intensification of the educational process, including cooperative learning methods, game methods with text; associative teaching methods.

Purpose of the study.  The aim of the study is to substantiate and develop an approach to improving the quality of training of specialists in the direction of training “Information Security”, based on improving the quality of assimilation of the educational material of the disciplines provided for by the curriculum.Materials and methods.  To achieve this goal, it is proposed to use innovative teaching methods based on the use of modern interactive educational technologies. The study is based on the analysis and use of research materials in the field of the application of pedagogical technologies in the modern educational process, the requirements of the law, which are mandatory when implementing the main educational programs of higher professional education. In preparing the article, the materials obtained by the authors during the planning, preparation, conduct and analysis of laboratory studies with students studying in the direction of training “Information Security” were also used.Results.  The specifics of training specialists in the direction of training “Information Security”, due to the high demands placed on them by employers, as well as the complexity and necessity of solving the problems facing the Russian Federation in the field of ensuring information security, lies in the need for them to obtain, along with fundamental knowledge in the field of information security, knowledge of modern and promising information protection technologies. An important role in improving the quality of training highly qualified specialists who are professionally in demand and capable of self-development is currently played by the application of new approaches to their training based on the use of innovative methods. The proposed approach consists in the development by students of modern and promising information protection technologies using innovative teaching methods during the organization, preparation and conduct of training sessions. One of the main, most important in practical, research aspects, forms of conducting classes in the process of training information security specialists is a laboratory workshop. The proposed approach was tested in the educational process when planning, preparing and conducting laboratory work on the topic “Creating a virtual private network in a virtual environment” in the discipline “Information Security Technology”. The main features of this lesson include the relevance, high technology and practical orientation of the topic of the lesson, as well as its interactivity. The result of applying the proposed approach was an increase in the degree of assimilation, the breadth of coverage of the studied material and, as a result, an increase in the effectiveness of the formation of students’ competencies provided for in the curriculum.Conclusion.  As a result of the research, an approach to improving the quality of training of specialists in the field of training “Information Security” was substantiated and developed. The proposed approach, which consists in the application of innovative interactive teaching methods during the organization, preparation and conduct of training on relevant, high-tech topics of applied importance, was implemented in practice when students learn the discipline “Information Security Technology”, which allowed to improve the quality of assimilation educational material of the discipline and, ultimately, to improve the quality of training of specialists in the direction of training “Information Security”.

Background: Identifying the factors that contribute to learning is one of the most important research goals. Learning style is one of these important and effective factors. The predominant learning styles of students in different universities of Iran are different. Objective: This study aimed to review the learning styles of midwifery students in Iran based on Kolb’s learning theory. Materials and Methods: In this review study, a search was conducted in Scopus, PubMed, Google Scholar, SID, and MagIran databases on articles published during 2000-2020 by using the keywords: Learning styles, midwifery students, and Kolb’s theory in Persian and English. Out of 28 eligible articles, 9 articles were finally reviewed. Results: Learning in midwifery students is usually done by using different styles, the most common of which was convergent style followed by assimilative style. Conclusion: The predominant learning styles of midwifery students in Iran are convergent and assimilative styles. While considering individual differences, educational planning and selection of teaching method should be done in a way that is appropriate for different learning styles of midwifery students and a variety of new and innovative teaching methods should be used.

Presented is enlarged didactic units developed by P.M. Erdniev for teaching mathematics, that improves the ability of students to understand educational material. This effect is achieved as a result of organizing the educational process according to the principles of complementarity of teaching methods and the spatial and temporal combination of interrelated elements of knowledge. Among the basic mathematical disciplines taught at Bauman Moscow State Technical University for students with disabilities the most difficult discipline is Linear Algebra, which is due to its content and various problems with students’ health. Linear Algebra is largely based on the theory from Analytical Geometry that is quite well perceived by students with disabilities. A comparative analysis of these disciplines shows that the enlarged didactic units linking these disciplines together can significantly simplify the study of Linear Algebra. However, due to difficulties with scheduling the time gap between these disciplines can be up to two semesters, which makes it impossible to directly use the enlarged didactic units. To solve this problem, we introduce the supporting discipline "Cognitive technologies for supporting the discipline Linear Algebra" which runs in parallel with Linear Algebra and which is based on the material of Analytical Geometry. Forming its content in close connection with Linear Algebra in accordance with the main principles of the enlarged didactic units, we smoothly lead students to the understanding of abstract concepts of Linear Algebra, reducing the complexity of learning.

The author of the study explores new trends and technologies in the education process. This suggests the suitabil-ity of introducing innovations not only to teaching methods and forms, but also to change the concept of teaching content, and to change students' approach to learning, to teach them (Petlák E., 2012, pp. 18-19). Of the many approaches to innovative teaching, humanistic principles are considered as a key. They try to present the view on neuropedagogy and neurodidactics, their common feature is the desire to increase the level of pro-gress and the results of the educational process.

The purpose of this research was to determine the effectiveness of various teaching methods used in higher education and the perception of the students regarding these methods. In order to determine the possible ways to obtain strategic advantages and benefit from the strengths, the university has to know what drives foreign students in choosing a certain study program, even if it is outside their country of origin. At the same time, knowing the disadvantages that prevent them from doing so, helps the university include ways to correct the weaknesses or to offer solutions to them. The students, participating in this research, are enrolled at the European University in Madrid, from different study programs and degrees (license, master and doctoral programs) and were asked to answer a questionnaire about the use of teaching methods, about their perceptions upon effective teaching and the reasons that have determined them to choose to follow a study program. The results were in favor of a higher use of projects, group activities and case studies during classes and seminars at the European University of Madrid and of using new technologies in the educational system (e-learning, simulations, use of intranet, and activities in laboratories). As a primer characteristic searched for when choosing a study program, the students mentioned practice, mainly for developing abilities useful for applying for a job as soon as possible. It is, therefore, important to analyze the teaching methods and this research helps us understand how students see the teaching process and which are the methods that help them to better understand and to be more active during classes. Key words: creativity development, innovative teaching, practical activities, teaching methods.

Article discusses the problem of heuristic teaching method of mathematics started from 19th centuries. Here was substantiated the thesis that the heuristic method of teaching is one of the most important methods of teaching mathematics. The works of scientists from different countries were studied. Based on the analysis of S.M. Jubran and other researchers, the level of necessity of this training method is established.          This article attempts to reveal the system of pedagogical skills of a teacher in heuristic teaching of mathematics. Here was shown pedagogical skills which are necessary for organizing and managing students ' heuristic activities and fully describe the stages of the educational process (by O.A. Bulvinskaya).          In order to determine the conception of heuristic teaching method among teachers of Kazakhstan there was made a Likert scale questionnaire of 13 items. These 13 items were taken from 13 heuristics, that were identified by the Curriculum Planning and Developing Division (CPDD) within the Ministry of Education Singapore (MOE).
