Payung Kertas Village located at Pandanwangi Village, on the bank of the Bango river. The preliminary research showed that the environmental care behavior of residents of the riverbank area is to be low considering. Many residents choose to throw garbage directly in the river, construction residential houses in the Kali Sari watershed, and several indicator of the lack of environmental awareness of watershed residents. Awareness-raising will be easier to do when activities are started, designed, and carried out by communities with social problems. The aims of this community service is to empower communities to solve social problems. The formation of environmentally conscious communities is carried out through a tiered process by encouraging active citizen involvement. The method used in the fomation rof environmental care communities is carried out with a social intervention approach that utilizes action research. Social change is carried out by emphasizing three stages namely the planning, implementation, and evaluation stages. As a result of this community service, a community caring for the environment was formed with the first movement in the form of sorting waste from inside the house, synergizing with waste transport officers, and periodically monitoring and evaluating the implementation of the environmental care movement.

This is an optimistic, and useful, book written at a pessimistic time. In an era when the nation faces many social problems - including alienation from the government and work, the fragmentation of the family, and an expanding materialism - this book promoting civic literacy approaches to service learning and seeks to help educators in their efforts to redefine the role of civics in contemporary society. The civic literacy approach to service learning is defined as pedagogy that combines community service and academic instruction and that focuses on critical, reflective thinking and civic responsiblity. The editors challenge community colleges to act as catalysts for a national movement of community renewal, suggesting that they may be our best hope for finding ways to solve our social problems.

Service learning is a teaching approach that combines academic goals and the character educationthrough community service activities. Teaching strategies through knowledge, experiences, andreflections applied in an interdiciplinary course provide opportunities for students to relate knowledgedirectly from the classroom to community problems with their participation as volunteers in a specifedcommunity. Te community which is chosen as a target group was ftted to the lecture materialswhich emphasized on issues of state discrimination against vulnerable groups and impacts of decreasingenvironmental quality on sustainable peace. Te learning outcomes which is set at level of students'awareness of social problems are measured by changes in perceptions of issues faced by target groupsbefore and after students doing a community service through periodic journal reports.

SMAN 5 Jember is a school that has received the Adiwiyata program predicate. Based on the phenomenon, students who have environmental knowledge do not necessarily have attitudes and behaviors that care about the environment. This is not in line with the school's goal of maintaining the status of a Adiwiyata school. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between environmental knowledge and environmental care and environmental care behavior among students of SMAN 5 Jember in the 2018-2019 academic year. This study uses a nonexperimental correlational quantitative approach using the ex post facto method. The population in this study were students of class X and XI, amounting to 480 students. The sampling technique used was proportionate stratified random sampling technique. Methods of data collection using observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis used Kendall's Tau Correlation. Based on the results of the research on the relationship between environmental knowledge and environmental care attitudes in students of SMAN 5 Jember, the results obtained were 0.000 < 0.05 so that Ha was accepted and H0 was rejected, meaning that there was a significant relationship. The relationship between environmental knowledge and environmental care behavior results in 0.532> 0.05 so that Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected, meaning that there is no significant relationship. Berdasarkan fenomena siswa yang memiliki pengetahuan lingkungan belum tentu memiliki sikap dan perilaku peduli lingkungan. Hal ini tidak selaras dengan tujuan sekolah mempertahankan status sekolah Adiwiyata. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan pengetahuan lingkungan dengan sikap peduli lingkungan dan perilaku peduli lingkungan pada siswa SMAN 5 Jember tahun pelajaran 2018-2019. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif korelasional non eksperimental menggunakan metode ex post facto. Populasi pada penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas X dan XIyang berjumlah 480 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan menggunakan teknik sampling proportionate stratified random sampling. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, angket dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan Kendall’s Tau Correlation. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian hubungan pengetahuan lingkungan dengan sikap peduli lingkungan pada siswa SMAN 5 Jember diperoleh hasil 0,000 < 0,05 sehingga Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak artinya ada hubungan yang signifikan. Hubungan pengetahuan lingkungan dengan perilaku peduli lingkungan diperoleh hasil 0,532 > 0,05 sehingga Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak artinya tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan. This community service program aimed to improve teachers’ anthusiastic in SMKN 1 Sekotong, West Lombok to conduct articles to be published in national accredited and international journal. The method used in this program divided into three stages such as 1) early stage includes koordination between the program team with the principle of SMKN 1 Sekotong; 2) implementation stage includes scientific article training; and 3) evaluation stage that used as the overview of the next program. The materials in this program was presented mostly in term of describing the technique of writing good articles therefore they deserve to be published in national accredited or international journal. This community service program was conducted in SMKN 1 Sekotong which was followed by the pcinciple and 23 teachers. The conclusion of this program was there was an improvement of teachers’ anthusiastic to publish their scientific articles in national accredited and international journal.

The Community Service Activity / Kegiatan pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) was held in Cibinuang Village, Kuningan District, Kuningan Regency with the target of young people who are members of Karang Taruna Tunas Mekar as youth organization in Cibinuang Village. The problems faced by partner institution in this activity are: a) lack of socialization about the existence of youth organizations and their roles in the development of rural communities, b) less awareness and participation of youth in organizations, both administrator/ other members, c) training of administrators / members in making work programs have never been done. The method of implementation in this activity is active participation with stages namely 1). Seminar and discussing about the role of youth organizations, 2). Providing technical training in making organization programs, 3) Mentoring in making proposals. Seminar about the roles of youth organization for community empowerment in youth organizations in Cibinuang Village presented material in accordance with the theme. The materials presented to the participants including: the role of youth in village development, the mechanism for preparing programs and how to make proposals for effective funding requests. The training in making organization programs and activity proposals were divided into three stages, namely lectures and discussion about the role of youth organizations, providing technical training in the preparation of organization programs and making activity proposals, and mentoring in making organization programs and proposals.� Based on the process PkM activities, it can be seen that 1) there were enhancing youth's understanding and awareness of their capacity in developing villages through youth organizations, 2) members and administrators of youth organizations were motivated to play an active / participating role in building themselves and their villages, 3) administrators of youth organizations to arrange a program, 4) the management of the youth organization was able to make a proposal from each organization program that will be submitted to the Cibinuang Village Government.�Keywords: Youth Capacity, Youth Organization, Organization Program�AbstrakKegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini dilaksanakan di Desa Cibinuang Kecamatan Kuningan Kabupaten Kuningan dengan target pemuda-pemudi yang tergabung dalam Karang Taruna Tunas Mekar yang merupakan organisasi kepemudaan di tingkat Desa Cibinuang.� Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh lembaga mitra dalam kegiatan ini yaitu: a) kurang tersosialisasikanya eksistensi organisasi pemuda dan perannya dalam pembangunan masyarakat desa, b) kesadaran dan partisipasi pemuda dalam organisasi baik pengurus/anggota kurang, c) pelatihan pada pengurus/anggota dalam membuat program kerja belum pernah dilakukan.� Metode pelaksanaan dalam kegiatan ini yaitu partisipasi aktif dengan tahapan yakni 1). Ceramah dan tanya jawab tentang peran organisasi pemuda, 2). Memberikan pelatihan teknis pembuatan program kerja, 3) Pendampingan dalam membuat proposal kegiatan. Seminar tentang peran organisasi pemuda untuk pemberdayaan masyarakat pada organisasi pemuda di Desa Cibinuang Kec. / Kab. Kuningan diisi dengan pemaparan materi yang sesuai dengan tema. Materi-materi yang disampaikan kepada peserta meliputi: peran pemuda dalam pembangunan desa, mekanisme penyusunan program kerja dan cara pembuatan proposal kegiatan untuk permintaan dana yang efektif. Pelatihan pembuatan program kerja dan proposal kegiatan dibagi menjadi tiga kegiatan, yaitu ceramah dan tanya jawab tentang peran organisasi pemuda, memberikan pelatihan teknis penyusunan program kerja dan pembuatan proposal kegiatan, dan pendampingan dalam membuat program kerja dan proposal kegiatan. Berdasarkan proses kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat dapat dilihat adanya 1) peningkatkan pemahaman dan kesadaran pemuda terhadap kapasitasnya dalam membangun desa melalui wadah organisasi pemuda, 2) anggota maupun pengurus organisasi kepemudaan termotivasi� untuk berperan aktif/berpartisipasi dalam membangun diri maupun desanya, 3) pengurus organisasi kepemudaan dapat menyusun program kerja, 4) pengurus organisasi kepemudaan mampu membuat proposal kegiatan dari setiap program kerja yang akan diajukan ke Pemerintah Desa Cibinuang.

Kampung Baru is one of the villages in Pekanbaru city that has the potential to develop large marine tourism. Its strategic location on the coast of Siak River and has a cultural reserve "RumahBatin" makes Kampung Baru as one of the new destinations of future historical tourism. The existence of Kampung Baru as a tourist destination is still not well exposed so there needs to be a touch of Science and improvement to accelerate its development. The purpose of this activity is to accelerate the development of marine tourism in Kampung Baru Village, Pekanbaru City. The method used is a survey method to identify activities and counseling methods to convey Science to the community. The stages of the implementation of the activity are divided into three stages of preparation, implementation and evaluation. The results of a quick survey conducted, to accelerate the development of marine tourism activities in Kampung Baru through the socialization of halal certificates, making and dividing trash cans, making and enforcing plank boards, planting trees and vegetable seedlings and cleaning inner houses. The implementation of the activity is doing well and on target this can be seen from the community and village officials in supporting this activity. With the integrated KUKERTA (Community Service), the neglected tourism potential of Kampung Baru can be reappointed as a marine tourism. This leads to the fact that the touch of Science through integrated KUKERTA (Community Service) is able to accelerate the development of marine tourism in Kampung Baru.

ABSTRAK  Anemia merupakan masalah global terutama bagi ibu hamil. Penyebab utama anemia pada kehamilan adalah defisiensi besi kemudian diikuti oleh defisiensi folat. WHO memperkirakan angka kejadian anemia sekitar 42 % terjadi pada ibu hamil dengan kondisi ekonomi menengah kebawah. Tujuan Pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu hamil. tentang anemia defisensi besi dan pemeriksaan kadar hemoglobin sebagai deteksi dini mandiri di Desa Matang Seulimeng wilayah kerja Puskesmas Langsa Barat Kota Langsa. Bentuk kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat adalah dengan metode penyuluhan dengan ceramah dan tanya jawab. Sedangkan deteksi dini resiko tinggi dilakukan dengan pemeriksaan kadar hemoglobin dan setelah 2 minggu intervensi dilakukan evaluasi ibu hamil anemia dengan pemeriksaan kadar Hemoglobin. Terjadi perubahan peningkatan pengetahuan baik sebesar 85 % dan hasil pemeriksaan hemoglobin dari 18 ibu hamil anemia setelah evaluasi menjadi 67,8 %  tidak anemia .Penilaian mengenai pemahaman ibu hamil tentang edukasi anemia Defisiensi besi dan pemeriksaan Hemoglobin sebagai deteksi dini resiko pada ibu hamil adalah 3 (tiga) tahap (tahap pretest, tahap penyuluhan, dan tahap posttest serta evaluasi ibu hamil anemia). Adanya peningkatan pengetahuan setelah diberikan edukasi anemia defisiensi pada ibu hamil, dan mampu melakukan deteksi dini mandiri tanda gejala anemia sehingga mendapat penanganan sesegera mungkin. Kata Kunci : anemia defisiensi zat besi, kadar hemoglobin, deteksi dini, ibu hamil  ABSTRACT  Anemia is a global problem, especially for pregnant women. The main cause of anemia in pregnancy is iron deficiency followed by folate deficiency. WHO estimates that the incidence of anemia is around 42% in pregnant women with middle to lower economic conditions. The purpose of this service is to increase the knowledge of pregnant women. regarding iron deficiency anemia and hemoglobin level examination as an independent early detection in Matang Seulimeng Village, the working area of Langsa Barat Health Center, Langsa City. The form of community service activities is the extension method with lectures and questions and answers. Meanwhile, early detection of high risk is carried out by examining hemoglobin levels and after 2 weeks of intervention, pregnant women with anemia are evaluated by examining hemoglobin levels. There was an increase in knowledge of both 85% and the results of hemoglobin examination from 18 anemic pregnant women after the evaluation became 67.8% not anemic. An assessment of the understanding of pregnant women about iron deficiency anemia education and hemoglobin examination as early detection of risk in pregnant women is 3 (three) stages (pretest stage, counseling stage, and posttest stage and evaluation of anemic pregnant women). There is an increase in knowledge after being given education on deficiency anemia in pregnant women, and being able to independently detect early signs of anemia so that they get treatment as soon as possible. Keywords: iron deficiency anemia, hemoglobin levels, early detection, pregnant women

The present study aimed at investigating the role of scientific research in the development of the local community from the point of view of the faculty members in the Palestinian Universities. To achieve this objective, a convenient sample of (244) faculty members from the universities of northern Palestine: Al-Quds Open University (Tulkarm), An-Najah National (Nablus), Technical Palestine - Khadouri (Tulkarem), and Arab American (Jenin). The results of the study showed that the participants&#39; assessment of the importance of the role of scientific research in community development was medium in the overall instrument and two dimensions: applied research and scientific consultancy, but their assessment of awareness-raising was high. On the other hand, the results showed that there were statistically significant differences in the level of the role of practical research in the development of the community attributed to the gender variable in favor of males on the overall instrument and three dimensions, while there were no statistically significant differences in the level of participants&#39; assessment attributed to the variable of specialization. The differences were in favor of the disciplines of educational sciences and applied sciences. There were also statistically significant differences in the level of their assessment attributed to the qualification variable on the overall instrument and the three dimensions in favor of PhD holders.Keywords: scientific research, community service, awareness-raising, applied research, scientific consultancy.

The effects of the international crisis brought economic and financial risks, as well as consequences for human, social and sustainable development. This study aims to analyse the effects of social intervention with families since the 2008 crisis in Portugal. Through a qualitative approach, we conducted semi-structured interviews with social workers (23), to identify the main impacts of the crisis and the adopted social intervention practices. We highlight a new increase in social problems and the growth of vulnerable groups facing an unprepared social protection system. The Portuguese case reveals that the effects of austerity have shown a decline in the welfare and benefits system, leading to worsened social problems, such as increased poverty and unemployment, as well as social inequalities. Social Work was required to respond to these consequences, although organisational contexts and austerity measures constrained practitioners’ autonomy. By reflecting on this critical period, we seek to contribute to better social protection and assistance models in the face of the current and future crisis. In this sense, Social Work practice ensures a means to guarantee fundamental rights and social justice, preparing social workers and social intervention for new challenges in crisis contexts.

This article departs from the findings of the implementation of the community service program of Literary Studies, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada in the form of providing workshop and assistance in writing fiction works for the Komunitas Jejak Imaji (KJI). KJI is a space of community for writers, poets, and students who carry out the routine of gathering, discussing, and producing literary works. This community is located in Yogyakarta — which culturally has a social climate that supports the existence of literary development and the literary community. In the midst of a pandemic, the demands for innovation on the formation of new habits and new knowledge provide a new field for communities to continue to exist in producing literary works. This service was initiated to spark community awareness to revive its literary space amid the pandemic. The implementation of the service program uses lecture, discussion, and practice methods to produce works about Covid-19 that are ready to be published through the application of research and processing of historical data, as well as social facts in literary works. Even though the story ideas from the 14 works of fiction they wrote were a response to the Covid-19 pandemic, the tendency of their works is not far from the social problems surrounding them. The conceptual framework used to see the tendency of KJI's fiction is Laclau and Mouffe's discourse theory which is to answer the question of how the corona is received and responded to in a political space as well as a literary poetic space. The results of these activities show that the entire works of fiction written by the Imaji Literature Community, tend to put the discourse of globality clashed with various social problems experienced by the Indonesian people in general and local communities in particular during the pandemic. ===== Tulisan ini berangkat dari temuan pelaksanaan program pengabdian kepada masyarakat Magister Sastra, Fakultas Ilmu Budaya, Universitas Gadjah Mada berupa pemberian pelatihan (workshop) dan pendampingan penulisan karya fiksi untuk Komunitas Jejak Imaji (KJI). KJI merupakan salah satu ruang sastrawan, penyair, dan mahasiswa yang ‘menggemari sastra’ melaksanakan rutinitas berkumpul, berdiskusi, dan memproduksi karya sastra. Komunitas ini berlokasi di Yogyakarta—yang secara kultural memiliki iklim pergaulan yang mendukung eksistensi perkembangan sastra dan komunitas sastra di dalamnya. Di tengah pandemi, tuntutan inovasi atas terbentuknya kebiasaan baru dan pengetahuan baru memberikan medan baru bagi komunitas untuk tetap eksis dalam memproduksi karya sastra. Pengabdian ini diinisiasi untuk memantik kesadaran komunitas untuk menghidupi ruang sastranya kembali di tengah pandemi. Pelaksanaan program pengabdian menggunakan metode ceramah, diskusi, dan praktik hingga menghasilkan karya tentang covid-19 yang siap publis melalui penerapan riset dan pengolahan data sejarah, serta fakta sosial dalam karya sastra. Meskipun ide cerita dari 14 karya fiksi yang mereka tulis merupakan respon atas pandemi covid-19, kecenderungan karya-karya mereka tidak jauh dari persoalan sosial di sekitarnya. Kerangka konseptual yang digunakan untuk melihat kecenderungan karya fiksi KJI adalah konsepsi wacana Laclau dan Mouffe yang untuk menjawab pertanyaan bagaimana korona diterima dan direspon dalam ruang politik sekaligus ruang poetik sastra. Dari hasil kegiatan tersebut menunjukkan bahwa keseluruhan karya fiksi yang ditulis oleh Komunitas Sastra Jejak Imaji cenderung meletakkan wacana global yang dibenturkan dengan berbagai persoalan sosial yang dialami masyarakat Indonesia pada umumnya dan masyarakat lokal pada khususnya selama pandemi.
