This study aims to explain the local government's strategy in tourism development in East Nusa Tenggara Province, with a focus on: identifying tourism potential; leading tourism areas and destinations; identification of tourism problems; and local government strategies to achieve successful tourism development. This research uses descriptive analysis method. Data were collected through literature studies and documentation studies. Data obtained from secondary data through internet footprints based on the website of the West Nusa Tenggara Provincial Government and other related institutions. The results of the study concluded that first, West Nusa Tenggara Province was able to achieve the success of tourism development through a tourism potential identification strategy; determination of leading tourism destinations; stipulation of regional tourism strategy areas; and formulation of Regional Tourism Development Master Plans; The Tourism Office's Strategic Plan and the Tourism Office's Performance Plan, second, the tourism development planning system is formulated in stages, synergies and involves multi-stakeholders; third, sustainable tourism development through changing poor villages into tourist villages; fourth, developing tourism infrastructure and supporting facilities; marketing through tourism promotion; establish partnerships; improving the quality of tourism human resources; increasing the number and quality of tourism attractions. In local autonomy era to achieve target of tourism development is required a strategy through policies and steps that must be implemented continuously. This policy is defined as a guide in conduct tourism both national and regional level. This paper is intended to explain the policy of East Java government in developing sustainable tourism. This qualitative research used literature approach. The data analysis used descriptive analysis. The results of this literature study showed that sustainable tourism development in the region has three dimensions, namely economic, socio-cultural, and environment. These dimensions are based on the principle of justice that not only benefits the present generation, but also future generations. In addition, important factor in the development of tourism is the supervision of standards and quality of tourism services.

Conservation areas are known for their significant functions to protect the plant and animal biodiversity, as well as their ecosystems. Lapak Jaru Tahura, which is located in Gunung Mas Regency, Central Kalimantan, is one of the conservation areas with potential ecotourism attraction. The strategy for developing tourist objects and natural attractions in Tahura Lapak Jaru needs to be formulated to gain positive impact and to reach its sustainability. The purpose of this study was to dig ecotourism potential in Tahura Jaru Kuala Kurun and to formulate tourism development strategies in the Tahura Lapak Jaru in Kuala Kurun tourist area. This research was conducted through 2 (two) stages of analysis. First, identifying the tourism potential in the Tahura Jaru Kuala Kurun area with descriptive analysis. Second, formulating a tourism development strategy in the Tourism Area of the Lapak Jaru Kuala Kurun tourism area with a SWOT analysis. The results showed that the Lapak Jaru Tahura is a very potential site for further development to become a tourist attraction. The strategy of Tahura Lapak Jaru development is aggressive, namely, to use the strength they have to take advantage of current opportunities. These strategies, among others, are, first, to maintain its position as a tourism destination which fully supported by local government and the ease of gaining potential investor. Second, regional development planning needs to include the participation of local communities so that target consumers who tend to like nature tourism can be achieved.

Development planning is a must for every level of government, both central and regional, as mandated in Law No. 25 of 2004 concerning the development planning system. Bengkalis Regency as one of the regions in Riau Province also conducts development planning. The aspects of development planning in the Regency include Malay culture as a derivative of the Riau Vision 2020. Planning aspects of Malay culture development is a manifestation of the elected Regional Vision and Mission and can be seen in its harmony with the Province. The formulation of the problem in this study is how is the form of development planning aspects of Malay culture in Bengkalis District in supporting the Riau 2020 Vision? This study aims to describe the form of development planning aspects of Malay culture in Bengkalis Regency in supporting the Riau Vision 2020. The results of the study indicate that the planning of the development of the Malay cultural center has referred to the Provincial government planning documents, both contained in the RPJMD to RKPD even though they are only quantity, not yet fully touched the quality of the substance of Malay culture. The planning contained in the Bengkalis Regency RPJMD document is limited to the Vision and Mission statement, while the objectives to the strategic plan are not formulated. Nevertheless specifically in the Office of Culture, Youth and Sports expressly formulated this in the OPD Work Plan.

Pandemi Covid-19 mempunyai dampak yang cukup besar pada segala sektor, dan pariwisata halal merupakan sektor yang juga cukup merasakan dampaknya. Penelitian ini menggali potensi upaya pemulihan pariwisata halal dengan pendekatan analisa deskriptif. Menggunakan data terbaru tahun 2020 dan tema yang unik. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan analisa deskriptif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan triangulasi berupa observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan penggolahan data diperoleh hasil dari  strategi dengan melakukan Protokol kesehatan berbasis CHSE yaitu Cleanliness (Kebersihan), Health (Kesehatan), Safety (Keamanan), dan Enviroment (Ramah lingkungan) dan juga startegi pemulihan dengan jangka pendek, menengah dan panjang. Strategi jangka pendek lebih mengedepankan dukungan pemerintah daerah, mulai dukungan finansial dan kebijakan yang mendukung. Strategi menengah yaitu dengan menggabungkan peran lembaga pendidikan, pemerintah dan media. Strategi jangka panjang dengan melakukan sistem opersional industri pariwisata, dengan input yaitu memperhatikan kualitas destinasi pariwisata, dan kemudian diprosesnya dengan bantuan penuh pihak pemerintah dan outputnya melakukan pembenahan yang tersturuktur sehingga pariwisata halal di ponorogo dapat perkembang lagi. Dari hasil diatas diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa Pariwisata Halal di Ponorogo telah melakukan pembenahan dengan strategi-setrategi diatas, namun masih belum maksimal sehingga perlu didukung secara penuh oleh Pemerintah daerah, Stakeholder, Media dan Masyarakat.The Covid-19 pandemic has had a considerable impact on all sectors, and halal tourism is a sector that is also quite affected. This study explores the potential of halal tourism recovery efforts with a descriptive analysis approach. Using the latest data for 2020 and a unique theme. The research method uses a descriptive analysis approach, with data collection techniques using triangulation in the form of observation, interviews and documentation. Based on data processing, the results obtained from the strategy by carrying out a CHSE-based health protocol, namely Cleanliness, Health, Safety, and Environment, as well as recovery strategies in the short, medium and long term. The short-term strategy prioritizes local government support, start with financial support and supportive policies. The intermediate strategy is to combine the roles of educational institutions, the government and the media. The long-term strategy is to carry out an operational system for the tourism industry, with input, namely paying attention to the quality of tourism destinations, and then processing it with the full assistance of the government and the output carrying out structured improvements so that halal tourism in Ponorogo can develop again. From the results above, it can be concluded that Halal Tourism in Ponorogo has made improvements with the strategies above, but it is still not optimal so it needs to be fully supported by the local government, stakeholders, media and society. The long-term strategy is to carry out an operational system for the tourism industry, with input that is paying attention to the quality of tourism destinations, and then processing it with the full assistance of the government and the output is making structured improvements so that halal tourism in Ponorogo can develop again. Bengkayang Regency is an area which rich in natural resources. If its are properly managed, they will support sustainable regional development, especially to support regional tourism and nature conservation. Riam Pangar is one object of natural wealth that has the charm of ecotourism in Bengkayang. The study aims to determine the potential of Riam Pangar as a potential ecotourism in Bengkayang Regency. This research is conducted quantitatively by analyzing the Riam Pangar’s internal factor of attraction. This study also analyzes external factors including its ecotourism management agencies and ancillary services. Assessment of tourism potential is based on the Guidelines for the Assessment of PHKA Nature Attraction in 1993 and 2003. The results of the research inform that Riam Pangar Bengkayang Regency is one of priority ecotourism destinations in 2016. Appraisal of attraction potential of Riam Pangar by society and tourists shows the classification of medium potency (B) with value 1089. Local Government assessed that the potential attraction at the place is high (A) with a value of 1410. Tourist ratings show information about Riam Pangar’s attraction is not known by the visitor. Beside, many potential attractions have not yet been explored by the Manager or Local Government. This is an input to the Disparekraf and Nature Tourism Manager in Bengkayang Regency to further explore and promote the potential attractions of the natural attractions. Potential supporting facilities and infrastructure is still low, as well as the availability of clean water is still difficult to obtain. Social conditions is supported by Kelompok sadar Wisata (Pokdarwis). It should be nurtured sustainably by Local Government to improve the quality of service to tourists. The result is expected to become information and recommendation to Government of Bengkayang Regency in determining alternative of policy planning and determine the right strategy to develop Riam Pangar management in Bengkayang Regency

Lampung is one of the provinces that has a considerable tourism potential in which each region has tourism potential with its own unique attraction in South Lampung regency. However, the Tsunami disaster that struck the coastal areas of Banten and South Lampung on 22 Desemeber 2018, impacted the decline in the number of tourists visiting the archipelago and abroad to tourist destinations by the end of year 2018. Based on the problems raised above, the purpose of this research is to describe and analyze the strategy conducted by the Tourism and culture Office of South Lampung Regency in the effort to develop tourism sector in South Lampung district after Tsunami disaster. This type of research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The research informant is determined purpossive. Data collection techniques are conducted with observations, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques are carried out with data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions and data triangulation. Data is presented and in a descriptive analysis. Based on the results of the research is known that the Tourism and culture Department of South Lampung district has a strategy to develop tourism potential in South Lampung regency. In determining a strategy for tourism development in South Lampung District after the Tsunami disaster pay attention to four basic factors. These four factors are strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats with some sectors involved in the tourism development process. The conclusion of this research is based on the SWOT anilisis which produces four strategies i.e. SO strategy, WO Strategy, Strategy ST, and WT strategy

Purpose: The impact of tourism development on the quality of life (Veenhoven. R., 2007) of the people in the Jaffna municipal area is studied.Design/Methodology/Approach: Closed-ended questionnaire/ Likert scale- for measuring the impact of the Tourism development as above. A questionnaire was distributed in the Jaffna municipal area. Descriptive and inferential statistical analyses were performed in this study. Findings: Descriptive analysis showed that there is a positive relationship between tourism development and quality of life. Correlation analysis ascertained it. Correlation analysis established that a significant positive correlation is present between the two, which was very strong. The correlation of tourism development was significant with the three sub-variables, namely, households’ income, entrepreneurial & employment opportunities, and culture. Regression analysis confirmed that tourism development had a significantly positive relationship and predicted the model satisfactorily to explain the impact of tourism development on the quality of life of people of the Jaffna municipal area.Practical implication:There is a great potential to enhance the quality of life through tourism development.Originality/ value: Improving the Quality of Life of the people through Tourism Development is explored. The specific findings are valuable in policy-making and planning tourism development projects.


East Nusa Tenggara Province surrounded by many potentials nature-based attractions, one of them is Mulut Seribu beach, in the Rote Ndao Regency. This beach is one of seven priority tourist attractions by the East Nusa Tenggara Provincial Government. Local Government initiation is welcomed by the local community and this research aims to create a strategy to develop the Mulut Seribu beach attraction with marine-based tourism to support sustainability. The research type is using descriptive qualitative, with interviewing stakeholders from five key informants living around the tourist attraction namely government representatives, tourists, and the local community. The results showed that according to SWOT analysis Mulut Seribu Beach is among Curve 1, which means the development of this destination still aggressive to be developed with a concentration of development in SO, namely strength and opportunity. This result is shown by the Mulut Seribu festival as a form of coordination between community and government participation in developing marine tourism in Mulut Seribu Beach. The success of the development in a region will be greatly determined by the quality of development planning. As planning became the sign posts are clear about what the needs of the citizens with has clear and measurable targets. Development Planning System emphasizes a combination of approaches between top-down and bottom up, which emphasizes the ways aspirational and participatory, so it is realized through the process of development planning or deliberation Musrenbang neighborhood start at various levels up to nationwide. This paper is the result of research that are descriptive studies library which describes the process of implementing E-Musrenbang in Surabaya with a variety of problems. E-Musrenbang successfully applied in Surabaya at least be innovations in development  planning system in which during this society wants a forum or social contacts among citizens with the Government in regional development planning. The application of the system of E-Musrenbang in Surabaya became an important lesson for the construction paradigm of society, where society is not only made of the objects but rather the subject of development. Keberhasilan pembangunan di suatu wilayah ditentukan oleh kualitas perencanaan pembangunannya. Sebagaimana perencanaan menjadi penunjuk arah yang jelas tentang apa yang menjadi kebutuhan warga dengan target yang jelas dan terukur. Sistem perencanaan menekankan kombinasi pendekatan antara top-down dan bottom-up, yang lebih menekankan cara-cara aspiratif dan partisipatif, sehingga hal tersebut diwujudkan melalui proses musyawarah perencanaan pembangunan atau Musrenbang di berbagai tingkatan mulai kelurahan hingga Nasional. Tulisan ini merupakan hasil penelitian yang bersifat deskriptif dengan studi kepustakaan yang menjelaskan proses pelaksanaan E- Musrenbang di Surabaya dengan berbagai permasalahannya. Sistem E- Musrenbang yang berhasil diterapkan di Kota Surabaya setidaknya menjadi inovasi dalam sistem perencanaan pembangunan dimana selama ini masyarakat menginginkan sebuah forum atau kontak sosial antara warga dengan pemerintah dalam perencanaan pembangunan daerah. Penerapan sistem E- Musrenbang di Kota Surabaya menjadi sebuah pelajaran penting bagi perencanaan pembangunan berparadigma masyarakat, dimana masyarakat tidak hanya dijadikan objek melainkan subjek pembangunan.
