Planning diet is a major component of the successful management of Diabetes Mellitus. The success of meal planning depends on the behavior of people with Diabetes Mellitus in choosing food include the amount of energy, the type of food, and the meal schedule. Compliance is the individual's behavior to carry out the instructions suggested by the doctor. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship of motivation with compliance with diabetes mellitus diet in patients with diabetes mellitus at Porsea Regional Hospital. The research design used was a cross-sectional approach. The population of Diabetes Mellitus patient at Porsea Regional Hospital was 21 respondents. The measuring instrument uses a questionnaire of motivation and compliance with diabetes mellitus diet. Data were analyzed by the Pearson Product Moment correlation test. The result of Pearson Product Moment test analysis obtained significant value 0.000 which means there is a significant relationship between the relationships of motivation with compliance diabetes mellitus diet in people with diabetes mellitus at Porsea Regional Hospital. The motivation is important because it is related to dietary changes diabetes mellitus patients are based on the patient's desire to heal and reduce the risk of complications caused by diabetes mellitus so they are motivated to follow the recommended diet program. Background: Type 2 diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disease that characterized by high blood sugar levels. This condition is often not noticed immediately and usually patient starting to realize it when complications have been occurred. A long-term complication of type 2 DM that occurred in men is erectile dysfunction (ED). ED is a condition when a person is unable to achieve or maintain an erection for sexual intercourse. One factor that influence the occurrence of ED and its severity in type 2 DM patients is the duration of the disease. Objective: The aim of this study was to determine the relationship of type 2 DM duration and the occurrence of ED. Methods: This study is an observational analytic cross-sectional study conducted at the Puskesmas (Public Health Center) Denpasar Barat I. The research data was obtained through medical record data and fill the International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF-5) questionnaire on 36 type 2 DM patients aged around 40-60 years. The statistical analysis used was Fisher's exact test. Results: The results showed that of the 36 samples, 19 (52.8%) samples had type 2 DM <24 months and 17 (47.2%) samples had type 2 DM >24 months. It was found that 5 (13.9%) samples did not experience ED while the rest experienced ED with different severity. There was a significant relationship between the type 2 DM duration and the occurrence of erectile dysfunction at Puskesmas Denpasar Barat I (p = 0.022). Conclusion: Study has found that type 2 DM patients with the longer duration (>24 months)  have a higher occurrence of ED and tended to be more severe compared to those with shorter duration (<24 months). Further studies should be performed with higher number of patients and more controlled risk factor so it will be more accurate in determining the relationship between the duration of type 2 DM and ED.

Complications of this disease are diverse and include retinopathy, nepropathy and neuropathy. It has a high prevalence and continued to increase. The relationship between diabetes mellitus and hearing loss have been studied. This study aimed to obtain the average of hearing threshold in patients with diabetes mellitus. This was a descriptive observational study with a cross sectional design. Total 38 diabetes mellitus patients were included in the study. Hearing threshold obtained based on air conduction pure tone audiometry average at 500, 1000, 2000, and 4000 Hz. The results showed that subjects were 65.8% females and 32.4% males. There were 9 subjects (23.6%) with normal hearing, 24 subjects (63.2%) with bilateral hearing loss, and 5 subjects (13.2%) with unilateral hearing loss. Of the 29 subjects with hearing loss, the levels were mild and moderate. None of the subjects had moderately severe, severe, or profound. Conclusion: The majority of subjects in this study had hearing loss. Keywords: diabetes mellitus, hearing threshold, pure tone audiometryAbstrak: Diabetes melitus merupakan suatu kelompok penyakit metabolik kronik yang dapat mempengaruhi hampir setiap sistem organ dalam tubuh. Carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii is becoming increasingly prevalent in patients with diabetes mellitus in the Middle East. We examined the relationship of these bacteria and their resistance mechanisms to the diabetic disease status of patients in Saudi Arabia. Susceptibilities of 271 isolates to carbapenems, tigecycline and colistin were determined, followed by detection of carbapenemase genes. A bla VIM gene was detected in ~95 % of isolates; bla OXA-23 and bla OXA-40 genes were also prevalent. Diabetic patients were significantly more likely to carry carbapenem-resistant isolates. Carbapenem-resistant A. baumannii is a serious problem in diabetic patients, and molecular detection of resistance mechanisms in these isolates is required.

Methods descriptive analytic cross sectional study design. The research sample as many as 65 people. The results showed that the DM Client Anxiety in Puskesmas Bukit Hindu city of Palangkaraya that her blood sugar levels <200 mg / dl was 23.1% mild anxiety and 24.6% were worried. Anxiety DM client that blood glucose levels> 200 mg / dl was 21.5% mild anxiety, and 30.8% were worried. Obtained a significant relationship between the level of anxiety with increased levels of sugar in clients with diabetes mellitus, where respondents blood sugar> 200 mg / dl with a moderate level of anxiety has peluag 5.787 times greater risk than the volunteers were mild anxiety level.
