The authors touch upon the problem of the development of additional technological education in Russian schools by comparing it with the situation in Western countries. Aim: strong requirements for inventions of schoolchildren should be established, a clear sequence of their teaching in invention and creation should be developed. Methods: methodology for teaching schoolchildren to invent and create something that has not existed before in different age groups is presented; a patent for a utility model developed jointly with schoolchildren participating in the system of additional technological education in Lipetsk seem to be important results of this study. Results: the authors considered ways to improve the effectiveness of teaching schoolchildren to invent in the field of additional technological education, taking into account current problems and trends. The systematic training of schoolchildren from elementary grade to middle and senior grades normally gives a positive result during the formation of divergent thinking, which translates into the child's ability to generate a variety of ideas for improving technical objects and creation as such. Attracting the capabilities of enterprises to organize an authentic educational process is relevant, too, as long as the project activities are designed to form the skills of independent work, creative and research activities.

The article examines the main features of various forms and methods of organizing the independent work of university students. The opinion is substantiated that independent work, aimed at mastering the acquired knowledge and skills, allows students to fully understand the nature of the work performed and organize their own activities. In the context of the implementation of distance learning in higher education, the goals and functions of independent work of students have been revised, the role of which in the educational process is significantly increasing. In the course of the study to identify the importance of independent work of university students, results were obtained that allow one to draw some conclusions, for example, active independent work is possible only if there are motivating factors: student involvement in research activities, intensive pedagogy, individualization of tasks and the personality of the teacher.

The work of the student on the course work is the most eff ective form to enhance and optimize the teaching and learning process, a way of strengthening his professional and applied orientation, helps to strengthen the connection of educational process with teaching and research activities, is an eff ective means of intensifying the focus of professional training of the student. To modern specialist society has a long list of requirements, among which important value has the presence of graduates of certain abilities and skills independently to extract knowledge from diff erent sources, to systematize received information, analyze the problem. The formation of such skills occurs during the whole study period. The independent work of students plays a crucial role in the entire educational process. The implementation of the course work contributes to the formation of the subject of cognitive activity, requires the creation of a complex of pedagogical conditions for the development of sustainable, high-quality learning motivation; in it the big role self-mastery of general and professional competences. In “Lebedyansky Commerce and Economic College” is constantly working to improve the quality of education. In the long term, the criterion for assessing the quality of the coursework should be the assessment of the degree of creativity and independence of students when performing this type of research. As creativity is based on cognitive abilities of man and covers the areas of personality, process, result, it will contribute to the development of creative elements of scientifi c knowledge, formation of professional qualities of students. The role of training coursework is particularly relevant in the present time, when educational institutions set the task of formation at students of need to continuous self-education, which supposes the ability for own cognitive activity.

The relevance of the problem under consideration is caused by the existing discrepancy between the increased need of society and the state for high quality engineering education, and the actual level of readiness of graduates of engineering universities to perform their professional functions, as well as insufficient development of the theoretical foundations of students training in research in the context of competence-oriented education. The purpose of the article is to solve the problem of training students for the research activity in the course of independent work and research during the educational process at engineering university. Based on the systematization and development of existing approaches to solving the problem of training of students of engineering universities for research, which contributes to the development of a functional model, the authors propose the method of preparing students for research. The article describes the development of practical experience in research activities during the participation of students in scientific seminars; represents the process of using the project method, end-to-end research tasks when preparing the course and qualification works; the issue is considered on consolidating and improving the experience of research activities of future engineers during all kinds of practical training. The pedagogical experiment was aimed at identifying the effectiveness of independent and research work in the course of formation of students' readiness for research activities in the framework of the functional model. The materials of the article can be used by the academic staff of engineering universities, specialists in the field of pedagogy, theory, and methodology of vocational education, as well as in the system of extended education

The present study explores the factorial structure and the degree of measurement invariance of 12 divergent thinking tests. In a large sample of German students (N = 1328), a three-factor model representing verbal, figural, and numerical divergent thinking was supported. Multigroup confirmatory factor analyses revealed that partial strong measurement invariance was tenable across gender and age groups as well as school forms. Latent mean comparisons resulted in significantly higher divergent thinking skills for females and students in schools with higher mean IQ. Older students exhibited higher latent means on the verbal and figural factor, but not on the numerical factor. These results suggest that a domain-specific model of divergent thinking may be assumed, although further research is needed to elucidate the sources that negatively affect measurement invariance.

The article proposes a model for forecasting the success of student’s learning. The model is a Markov process with continuous time, such as the process of “death and reproduction”. As the parameters of the process, the intensities of the processes of obtaining and assimilating information are offered, and the intensity of the process of assimilating information takes into account the attitude of the student to the subject being studied. As a result of applying the model, it is possible for each student to determine the probability of a given formation of ownership of the material being studied in the near future. Thus, in the presence of an automated information system of the university, the implementation of the model is an element of the decision support system by all participants in the educational process. The examples given in the article are the results of an experiment conducted at the Institute of Space and Information Technologies of Siberian Federal University under conditions of blended learning, that is, under conditions when classroom work is accompanied by independent work with electronic resources.

Ide Leuciscus idus (Linnaeus, 1758) belongs to Cyprinidae family and is used in commercial and recreational fishing. Ide is an intermediate host of Opisthorchis felineus . In the control catches (summer 2015, the Lower Irtysh, Uvatsky, Tobolsky and Vagaysky regions of Tyumenskaya Oblast’) there were observed species with lengths 11.9-38.1 cm, with a total weight 45-1085 g. Some species aged 9 years old and even older. The maximum rate of linear growth was registered in ide species younger than 3 years old, at this age annual growth made 5 cm. The annual growth of four-year-old females made 5.4 cm, males - 2.8 cm. Females aged 3+ exceeded males in body weight and length. Species at the age 1+…2+ years old added 204.6% in their mass; at the age 2+…3+ years old - 65.3%, at 3+…4+ years old - 29.4%. Gender and gonad maturity were determined in species older than 2+, but not in all species. Among females aged 2+…4+ there were found species with I and II stage of gonad maturity. Females aged 5+ were spawned-out species having VI-II stage of gonad maturity (48%); female species aged 6+ having IV stage of gonad maturity made 33.4%. Among males in the age groups of 2+ and 3+ there were registered species with I stage (38.5 and 20%, respectively) and II stage (61.5 and 80%, respectively) of maturation only. Fatness degree of studied species ranged from 0 to 5. Species aged 2+ had I stage (24% species); in the aged groups the proportion of such species decreased (5+ years old - 7.8%; 6+ years old - 12.1%; 8+ years old - 5.9%); species aged 2-7 had II stage of fatness; proportion of older species also decreased. Species with III and IV stage of fatness were found more often (III stage was observed in 100% of the fish species at the age of 1+). Proportion of species with V stage was minor, it increased with age. According to the analysis of the study results, nutritive base in the basin is found satisfactory for ide growth and development.
