Family forms the first and most important social institution in every society. Although traumatised families may be the root of much personal and social turmoil, a healthy community and family is the most vital way to deal with social change and challenges. In the light of increasing violence and trauma in South Africa, youths adverse exposures to violence and trauma have been identified as a distressing health care problem globally and for our communities and families at large. This study sought to explore and describe community and family perspectives of youth’s trauma in order to propose a holistic support approach. A qualitative approach was followed and participants (health care professionals and parents) were purposefully selected. Data were gathered through interviews, a focus group and field notes. Data were analysed thematically. Health care professionals and parents shared similar experiences and concerns relating to their perceptions of youths’ experiences of trauma. Parents however had a more negative regard of the youth and their capabilities to deal with trauma. The trauma experience was seldom contained to the individual but had a traumatising ripple effect on the parents, and community. This often left the entire system feeling helpless and depleted of resources to cope.

Mereka mengartikulasikan ayat-ayat al- Qur’an lebih luwes. This study wants to look at the phenomenon of Salafi teachings on gender equality. In general, the Salafis see the role of women is limited, both in the domestic and public sphere. This phenomenon is so deeply rooted that it is practiced on the basis of the Salafiyyah Islamic boarding school. However, there was a shift in understanding among the Salafiyyah pesantren elite in Jambi, in which they began to provide space for women to interact in the public sphere. This study uses a qualitative approach and collects the data through observation, interviews and documentation. The focus of the study was conducted at two Salafi Pesantren, al Baqiyatush Shalihat in Tanjung Jabung Barat District and Sa’adatuddarain in Seberang, Jambi City. The results show that : First, in general, the Salafis in both Pesantren understand the existence of equality between men and women. They articulate verses of the Qur’an more flexible. However, in the case of women’s leadership, they still “limit” women, by assuming that the interpretation of Qs. An-Nisa: 34 is final. Secondly, there has been a change in understanding gender issues especially in al Baqiyatush-Shalihat Islamic Boarding School, where they are more moderate by giving access to women to do activities in public spaces, such as for schools, going to university and working. Different thing is found in the Sa’adatuddarain Islamic Boarding School. The elite Pesantren have not given freedom to women to carry out activities outside the Pesantren. Third, the understanding of the Salafi Pesantren elite does not affect the environment around the Pesantren. Itt is a fact that the women around the Pesantren remain active in public spaces as it is found in moderate Islam.]

This study was developed along with companies which received the Human Resources Distinction Awards for their achievements in strategic management of people from 2010 to 2014, awarded by the Human Resources Association of Serra Gaúcha (ARH Serrana). It aimed to understand how these companies awarded by ARH Serrana establish their ethics committees, and develop, communicate and implement their codes of ethical conduct. Data collection was performed with Qualtrics, and content analysis technique was used to analyze a script of open questions based on a qualitative approach. Data collection revealed that participants are aware of the importance of a code of ethics. However, based on the participants’ answers, it is noticeable that the establishment of a committee and the methodology employed to develop a code of ethics are not given the importance they deserve. ARH Serrana not only can convene management professionals but also could serve as a resource for developing the committees as well as the methodologies for establishing the code of ethics thus facilitating the organization’s ethical behavior.

Pesantren communication culture is quite distinct from other cultures, as it has its own unique, unique, and distinct culture. The santri's obedience, sincerity, and respect for the Kyai exemplify its uniqueness. The author attempts to raise this unique communication culture as a research theme by researching a salaf (traditional) Islamic boarding school, An-Nidzam Sukabumi, and a modern Islamic boarding school, Pondok Pesantren Kholaf (modern) Assalam Sukabumi. The research focuses on the unique characteristics of each of the two Islamic boarding schools. This study employs a qualitative approach based on ethnographic methods because it is highly relevant to its focus on the language spoken, communication patterns observed, and communication culture of pesantren. The findings indicated that the communication cultures of the salaf and Khalaf pesantren were significantly different. The An Nizam salaf pesantren placed a premium on regional/Sundanese languages in daily interactions while simultaneously suppressing learning in religious sciences from the yellow books. The Kalaf/modern Assalam Islamic boarding schools placed a premium on Arabic and English instruction. The use of English in daily interactions and an understanding of the spiritual sciences are explored through classically taught contemporary books.

The existing Lampung Indigenous Peoples Pepadun in Tigeneneng sub-district, Kab. Pesawaran, adheres to a patrilneal kinship system. This means that the oldest son is an absolute heir in the implementation and management of inheritance with the highest customary title, namely balancing. Whereas for the female heirs, they were not given the right of authority in management, because in the adat of Lampung Province the daughters were considered unable to manage inheritance and daughters when they were married, so they would change their customary titles and would follow their husbands. This type of research is a field using a qualitative approach by analyzing data inductively. The result of this research is that the system applied in the distribution of inheritance rights to the eldest child in the Lampung tribal community, is clearly very contrary to the principle of gender equality and justice. Juridically normative equality and gender justice have been regulated in Islamic Law and International Convention (CEDAW). Even though juridically, girls have the same rights as boys in managing inheritance left by both parents.
