Abstract — Almost all countries in the world and our country Indonesia are no exception, having an impact on the Coronavirus Disease (Covid-19) Pandemic, which requires the government to issue policies in various sectors to immediately take a stand in preventing wider transmission, including the education sector. The new period to normal due to the Covid19 pandemic is indeed an extraordinary struggle in the field of education. In the midst of various prevention and cure efforts due to a virus where the anti-vaccine has yet to be found, all sectors are compiling new life protocols, which means we carry out various facts in all aspects of life. Here my role as a parent, teacher, government, and community member must have many strategies in adjusting the learning conditions in schools during this pandemic. Currently, the Distance Learning process still utilizes the Whatsapp group facility in smart phone devices. The teacher provides lesson materials and assignments to students through the Whatsapp group, both through the parents' group and their respective class groups. One of the efforts to overcome these problems in the learning process in this new normal period, will be more effective with a blended learning approach and approach. The blended learning approach, which combines online and offline approaches. The blended learning approach, of course with all its advantages and disadvantages, tends to be used as a strategic alternative. The purpose of this study is to determine teacher teaching activities, student learning activities, and student responses in the application of Blended Learning. Masa new normal akibat pandemic covid19 memang luar biasa perjuangannya dalam bidang pendidikan. Blended learning is a hybrid of traditional face‑to‑face and different types of online learning services. Blended learning offers synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences that combine the conveniences of online courses while maintaining in‑person contact. Blended learning addresses the needs of students who are unable to attend classes entirely, but who nonetheless demand opportunities for personal interaction. The appropriate instructional content design becomes one of the crucial components to support the success of blended learning activities. This study proposed the development and practical use of document‑based rich and interactive content in EPUB3 to provide an exciting instructional content model. EPUB3 is a digital publishing standard with prosperous features and flexible implementation that is widely accepted in academic and industry. The EPUB3 digital book content was integrated into a Moodle learning management system to support synchronous and asynchronous blended learning environments. A questionnaire was applied to find out the learners' responses and involved 155 undergraduate students at The State University of Malang, Indonesia. The questionnaire results showed the developed content model was feasible and suitable to be implemented in a blended learning environment. Students seem interested and enthusiastic about being involved in various learning activities that add new experiences.

The pandemic condition, which is currently sweeping the world including Indonesia, makes face-to-face interactions in class between teachers and students impossible to do. Therefore, digital learning is an important alternative to replace face-to-face classrooms. But in reality, many unpreparedness issues are found to carry out digital learning both related to infrastructure and students. One of the most possible ways to overcome this is through the adaptation of blended learning in the face of the new normal, especially in sociology learning. The main objective of this study is to determine the adaptation of sociology learning by blended learning and Indonesian education policies in preventing Covid-19. The method used in this study is a literature review where the researcher analyzed various studies relevant to the adaptation of sociological learning. The presentation of the data is carried out using descriptive techniques, which describe the adaptation of blended learning that occures in the face of the new normal period. The results show that the adaptation of sociology learning by means of blended learning in the face of the new normal period was carried out in three modes (1) online sociology networks, (2) offline sociology and (3) face-to-face, in green zone based area obeying the health protocol.

This study intends to analyze the Islamic education curriculum development in the New Normal era, using a qualitative approach to library research. Researchers found that what must pursue the Islamic education curriculum in the New Normal period by integrating content, preparing a systematic learning concept and good training in terms of the use of technology so that it is accustomed to carrying out the learning process online. One of the ideal educational strategies during this pandemic is to explore the government's provisions by using an agreed application. There are two crucial component elements in the implementation of the learning process activities; namely, students and educators must be given training related to technology media to know the direction of learning so that they avoid mistakes that will become a problem. Meanwhile, students carry out learning at home with the help of parents who supervise every activity during the online learning process so that learning misunderstandings do not occur during a pandemic.

Introduction: Smartphone usage for academic and non academic processes increased among the adolescent students, especially among Higher Secondary students. This increased usage developed a kind of addiction among them towards the smartphones and other mobile gadgets. The mode of delivering learning experiences also changed due to the pandemic and this makes the need of the current study. Aim: To identify the smartphone addiction termed as nomophobia and academic achievement of higher secondary students during blended learning activities which known for the mixing of appropriate theories, methods and technologies to optimise learning in a particular context. Materials and Methods: A standardised nomophobic rating scale utilised to check the extent of smartphone addiction among the higher secondary students. Their academic achievement is identified using an achievement test in the relevant subject. The higher secondary students from Kerala constitute the population of the current study and 30 among them practicing blended learning activities are selected for the study in a convenient manner. Results: The results show that students are more prevalent to the smart phone addiction during the blended learning process. The male students show a higher level of smartphone addiction when compared to their female counterparts while academic achievement does not differ with respect to gender. Locality of the higher secondary students has no significant role on their nomophobic prevalence and academic achievement.  Nomophobic prevalence correlated negatively with academic achievement but not at a significant level. Conclusion:  This study reveals the major issues about the need for adequate supervision of adolescent mobile phone usage especially during blended learning. It also emphasises the need and importance of timely interventions from teachers, parents, and professionals as the learning process shifted to blended methods after the pandemic among higher secondary level.

Learning becomes more flexible when options are offered to learners, not only about the time and place and pace of learning, but also relating to types and origins of study materials, to forms and quantity of learning activities and assignments, to ways of interacting with others within the course, and to forms of assessment. De Boer (2004) has analyzed flexible course delivery within universities and found that the most flexibility is found in logistic aspects of the course such as flexibility in dates by which assignments must be submitted or flexibility in the location of course meetings, whereas pedagogical flexibility in which the learner can tailor aspects of the learning process itself is still relatively little seen. Within companies, flexible learning is often described as e-learning or blended learning. In an analysis of literature about flexible learning in companies, Margaryan and Bianco (2002) found that e-learning typically involves logistic flexibility at the price of pedagogy: little or no options are available for social interaction, a direct relationship with an instructor, or for choice in types of learning activities and ways of carrying out those activities.

The teachers are required to be able to adapt and develop their learning model in post-new normal condition at this time, the model should make the students understand the material being taught easier. In addition, teachers must also be able to apply face-to-face (traditional) and non-face-to-face (online) models. Therefore, to solve the problem, there is an appropriate learning model, namely blended learning. This article aims to examine in-depth thinking about the implementation of this learning model with the literature review method. Indeed, the blended learning model is a learning process that utilizes various approaches (i.e., media and technology) both offline and online. moreover, it can improve students’ access in accessing learning materials, enhance their new experiences, improve the quality of learning, and reduce learning costs. As result, this article indicates that a theoretically blended learning model can be a learning model in post-new normal at the school and university, but further research is still needed to examine the effectiveness of blended learning implementation.

The aim of the study is to determine the impact of online learning activities on learning outcomes of students who participated in the blended learning course, focusing specifically on skill-based courses. The learning outcomes or results of a learner are usually measured by scores, knowledge or skills gained in the course. In blended learning courses, the learning outcomes can be assessed according to many criteria. In this study, interactive activities such as teacher–student interaction, student–student interaction, student–content interaction and student–technology interaction are considered. Undergraduate students participated in the blended learning course in which formative assessment was used to evaluate student learning outcomes by the combination of different learning activities through a learning management system. The quantitative results obtained by using regression analysis of data from the system showed that the students who effectively interacted with learning activities in the course have better results. Quantitative analytical results indicated that student–student interaction has a greater impact on student learning outcomes. These learning activities are used for interactive activities as suggestions for teachers to design and implement learning activities for blended learning courses.
