The purpose of this study is to examine the usage of digital book media in the development of explanatory texts for students in the sixth grade of primary school. The experimental design employed in this study was a one-group pretest-posttest design. Test in command questions is used to collect data, which is then used to produce explanatory texts utilizing digital book media. The paired sample t-test on the SPSS Version 22 system is used for this normality test, and the results are presented in the following table. The results of the study revealed that the pre-test mean was 66.11. In contrast, the post-test mean was 82.78, indicating that the post-test score was more dominant than the pre-test based on descriptive statistical analysis approaches. H0 is rejected, while H1 is approved, indicating an effect of utilizing digital book media on writing skills in the sixth grade of elementary school, according to the findings of the study.

This study aims to determine the effect of the use of inquiry learning methods on the learning outcomes of fifth grade students in science subjects of light traits in Catholic Elementary School Nita I. This research is a quasi-experimental study. The sample of this study was 39 students consisting of 20 VA students as the experimental class and 19 VB students as the control class. Learning outcomes tests and learning motivation questionnaire sheets were used to obtain data in this study, with a t-test performed to test hypotheses preceded by a prerequisite analysis test in the form of a normality test. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the inquiry learning method has a positive and significant effect on the students’ learning outcomes. The group of students who took part in the learning with inquiry learning method obtained a better post test score which was equal to 76.25 compared to the group of students who followed conventional learning who obtained a post-test average score of 65.26.

This current study is aimed to know whether any improvement or not in using digital comics as the media on student’s English competence. The researchers used a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design. This research was conducted at Universitas Muhammadiyah Lamongan and the sample was 42 pharmacist medical students. The instrument that was used to measure students’ English competence was the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). The result of the test was analyzed by using statistical analysis of paired sample t-test. The finding showed that there was significant improvement before and after the treatment, it can be proved by the significant value of the pre and post-test which was 0.000 (2 tailed). Since the significance value (2-tailed) was less than 0.05, it means that the hypotheses of this study were accepted. In other words, the students positively received the use of digital comics for English learning activities. Therefore, digital comics can be assumed as an effective media or tool for enhancing students’ English competence.

Teacher creativity and innovation are extremely needed in teaching Arabic material which is difficult for millennial learners to be understood, especially the competence in reading classical Arabic texts and tending to be stuck up in the understanding of qawaid. Therefore, this study aims to determine the process of using the PQ4R method and measure its level of effectiveness in improving students' reading skills in Arabic subject of class XI MAN 1 Kota Kediri. The method applied in this research is quantitative approach with experimental research model. The researcher used documentation, tests, and interview to collect the data in MAN 1 Kota Kediri in class XI. The data analysis used t-test with paired sample t-test. The result shows that PQ4R method is effective in improving reading skills, with the calculation result of pre-test score in the experimental class 66.08 and the control class 65.08 with a difference of 1.00. The results of post-test of experimental class 86.52 and 63.04 control class with a difference of 23.48, so the experimental class using the PQ4R method is higher than the control class. The data analysis used is t-test with the calculation of sig (2-tiled), with the result of sig (2-tiled) = 0.00, because the result of sig (2-tiled) 0.00> 0.05. So it can be concluded that the PQ4R method provides an easier way to comprehend Arabic reading texts.

This research aimed to find out the effectiveness of Teaching Indonesian-English Combined Task to improve students’ skills in writing English sentences. It was undertaken in PDF Ulya As’adiyah Putri Sengkang in Academic Year 2016/2017. It applied pre-experimental method. Writing test was employed as the instrument of the research. The population of this research was 16 students. The technique of data collection involved giving pre-test to know the writing skills gained previously of the students and post-test after giving the treatment to know how the skills of the students in writing English sentences by using Indonesian-English combined task. The result of the calculation of the students’ score indicated that the mean score of the students’ pre-test was (55.25) which was classified as fair classification and the mean score of the students’ post-test was (73,93) as good classification. The value of paired sample test for post-test was greater than the t-table (10,239>2.131). In short, teaching Indonesian-English combined task is effective to improve students’ skills in writing English sentences.

This study aims to examine the effect of the work environment (X) on employee performance (Y) at PT. Budi Anugrah Bersama. The approach taken is quantitative and type of research (explanatory research). The population and sample in the study were 61 people. Data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and questionnaires. Likert scale variables are examined. The questionnaire was tested with a validity test and a reliability test. Data processing using SPSS version 21.0, analyzed with descriptive statistical analysis and hypothesis testing with simple linear regression.The validity test results for the working environment are valid because r > 0.3 and the reliability test shows reliable because of alpha cronboarch> 0.6. Normality test is obtained at 0.05 and it is said that the data is normally distributed and on the normal line the plot shows the point of the graph spreading around the diagonal line and following the diagonal line.The conclusion of this study has a significant effect on the work environment by 72% on the performance of employees at PT.Budi Anugrah Bersama.Keywords: Working Environment, Employee Performance


The deterioration of Malaysian students’ achievements in Science subject is an alarming issue. Malaysian students’ enrolment in STEM at upper secondary schools has gradually declining. Effective STEM teaching materials developed by using appropriate teaching approach for improving students’ achievements in STEM field, particularly Chemistry is urgently needed. Thus, the purpose of this study was to determine the effects of the teaching module towards students’ achievements on chemical bonding. Pro-iCo Module was designed and developed by the researcher based on STEM-5E learning cycle constructivist approach via ADDIE model. This study used a One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design.. A total of 30 form four Chemistry students were selected purposively from one of the secondary schools in Johor Bahru. The instruments used in this research were (i) Pro-iCo Module Evaluation Questionnaire (Pro-iCo MEQ) (ii) Chemical Bonding Achievement Test (CBAT). Descriptive analysis and inferential analysis (Paired Sample Ttest) were used in analysing the data collected. Based on the findings of the Pro-iCo MEQ, the teachers agreed that the Pro-iCo Module has fulfilled all the criteria of evaluation aspects. The findings of CBAT revealed a significant difference (with the value of 22.57) between the mean of pre-test score and the mean of post-test score. The statistical analysis of Paired Sample T-test indicated that students scored significantly higher (p < 0.05) in the post-test than in the pre-test. It can be concluded that the implementation of Pro-iCo Module has significant positive impact on students achievements in chemical bonding. Hence, Pro-iCo Module could be used as an appropriate teaching module by teachers in implementing STEM approach at schools for enhancing students’ achievement in chemistry.

This study aims to determine the affect of outdoor learning methods assisted by concrete objects media on the learning outcomes of mathematic students in grade V at SDN Kalisalak Salaman. This research method is Pre-experimental with a One Group Pretest-Postest Design. The subject was 19 students in grade V at SDN Kalisalak chosen by saturated sampling. The method of data completion is done by testing. Validity test of product-moment and reliability test using cronbach alpha formula by SPSS for Windows 25.0.  The prerequisite test consists of a normality test by SPSS for Windows 25.0. Data analysis using parametric statistic technique that is Paired Sample T-Test by SPSS for Windows 25.0. The result shows that the outdoor learning method was assisted by concrete object media affected on learning outcomes of  mathematic. This is evidenced by the results of the Paired Sample T-Test with a probability value of 0,000 < 0,05. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion, there are differences in the mean pretest 0f 58,95 and post-test of 87,89. Based on these studies it can be concluded that the application of the outdoor learning method assisted by concrete objects media affects the learning outcomes of mathematic.

The research aims to determine the effectiveness of applying the Google Classroom Application on the students' Writing Skills from grade X1 of SMA Swasta Gajah Mada Medan. The research applied the quantitative method with experimental design. The data were analyzed using the mathematics system related to the methods applied in the research. According to the research findings, it is concluded that Applying Google Classroom Application potentially gives more effectiveness in teaching writing skills to the students. After the post-test is done, the mean score of applying Google Classroom Application is 85.65. The standard deviation is 7.353, and the number of students is 26. The mean by applying conventional strategy is  62.00, the standard deviation is 3.943, and the number of students is 24. From the research result, the researchers found that the mean score of the experimental group students was improved by 17.10. In the controlled group, the mean score of the students was improved by 9.75. After the post-test by applying Google Classroom Application to the students is undertaken,  the normality test result is 0.465. After a post-test to the students by applying the conventional teaching method in the controlled group is given, the normality test result is 0.243. The research finding explained that the Google Classroom Application successfully improved the students'  writing skills, especially at SMA Swasta Gajah Mada Medan during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract: Developing students' skill in writing scientific explanation is one of the main goals in education. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of the critical multi-literation model and the RADEC model on the ability in writing explanatory text of elementary school students. This research is conducted on 5th grade students of SDN 122 Cijawura, Buah Batu, Bandung. The samples used in this study are 39 students in the experimental class 1 that used the critical multi-literation model and 38 students in the experimental class 2 that used the RADEC model. The research method used in this study is a quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent pre-test and post-test control group design. Based on the results of the study, it is found that the pre-test score in the experimental class 1 is 36.6 and the post-test result is 78. Whereas in the experimental class 2 the pre-test score obtained is 48.1 and the post-test score is 68.9. Furthermore, from the results of the independent sample test, the results of the post-test mean difference test are sig = 0.018, so it can be concluded that there are significant differences in the ability to write explanatory text of students between the experimental class 1 and the experimental class 2. Based on these results, the multi-literation model critical is more effective than the RADEC model in developing the ability in writing explanatory text in elementary school students.

The general objective of this study was to find and analyze empirically the effect of the I Care learning model on the students' metacognition. The method used in this research was the experimental method. The affordable population in this study was grade X students of SMK Assyafiah which is located at Jalan Bukit Duri No.29, South Jakarta 2016/2017 academic year. The sample of the study was 60 students obtained through random sampling method that the researcher mixed in the population so that all subjects were considered the same. Data collection was done by documentation techniques (learning model variables) and test techniques (student metacognition variables). The collected data was then analyzed using the t-test. Before the data was analyzed, first descriptive statistical analysis and data requirements test (normality test, homogeneity test) were carried out. The results of the study showed that there was an influence of the I Care learning model on the students' metacognition. In other words, students' metacognition who used the I Care learning model was higher than the students' metacognition who used constructivism learning model.
