Abstract: This study examines the preaching activities of Kiai on social media in the era of the Covid Pandemic 19. As is known, the presence of this pandemic has forced preachers from Islamic boarding schools to choose da'wah virtually. Kiai Ahmad Azaim, a caretaker of the Salafiyyah Islamic Boarding School Syafi'iyyah Ibrahimy Situbondo, East Java, is one of the Kiai who uses cyber media to carry out his preaching activities which were mostly carried out offline before the pandemic. This study argues that the virtual da'wah activism carried out by Kiai Azaim has implications for a shift in authority and at the same time the Kiai's popularity. Through the method of analyzing the assumptions of Kramer's religious authority, an interesting finding is obtained that in terms of opportunity, Kiai interprets cyber media as the right medium to reach wider congregations. In terms of strength, Kiai understands that the presence of cyber media will not affect the power of the pesantren media or traditional recitation. In terms of rights, Kiai considers that as long as the community continues to use them, their rights need to be fulfilled.

One of the great traditions in Islamic education institutions in Indonesia is teaching by transmitting Islamic values as found in classical books written centuries ago. The majority in Indonesia, the classic book is better known as the Kitab Kuning. Teaching with the Kitab Kuning is usually done in Islamic Boarding Schools. Examining Kitab Kuning requires qualified Arabic language skills at least passively. Unfortunately, not all Islamic boarding schools that have a variety of superior programs in certain fields, are weak in the field of studying Kitab Kuning. One of them is the Islamic Boarding School Mu'allimin Muhammadiyyah Sawah Dangka which has the flagship Tahfizh Alquran program but is weak in the study of Kitab Kuning. One of the main factors is the lack of adequate quality of human resources. For this reason, this community service activity aims to provide training while introducing new, lightweight methods in learning Arabic, namely the Bihaqatil Jumal method. This method emphasizes learning Arabic using the right brain. After a series of community service activities, teachers and Islamic boarding schools felt helped and gained new experiences in learning Arabic methods to study Kitab Kuning. In addition, both the assisted object and the resource person requested that this kind of community service be continued.

Kitab kuning merupakan faktor penting yang menjadi karakteristik Pondok Pesantren (Ponpes). Artikel ini membahas pembelajaran Kitab Kuning di Pondok Khusus Ponpes Al-Halimy Sesela. Pembahasan difokuskan pada metode dan penerapannya dalam pembelajaran, serta teknik penilaian setelah pelakasanaan pembelajaran berlangsung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pondok Khusus Al-Halimy Sesela menerapkan beberapa metode yang lazimnya digunakan di pondok-pondok Salaf, menggunakan metode klasik, yaitu metode sorogan, bandongan, wetonan, halaqoh, diskusi, demonstrasi, dan tanya jawab. Penerapan metode-metode dalam pembelajaran kitab kuning didasarkan kesesuaian metode yang akan digunakan dengan mata pelajaran yang akan diajarkan. Keberhasilan suatu metode yang diterapkan dalam pembelajaran kitab kuning di Pondok Khusus Al-Halimy Sesela diukur dengan menggunakan beberapa cara di antaranya adalah dengan menguji secara langsung. Hendaknya tradisi pesantren Salaf tetap dapat dipertahankan dan selanjutnya memasukkan tradisi pesantren khalaf yang lebih baik, pemilihan metode yang tepat guna supaya memberikan dampak positif bagi kemajuan pendidikan pesantren sehingga akan muncul lulusan-lulusan yang betul-betul tafaqquh fi al-din. Title: Learning of Kitab Kuning “Yellow Book” at Special Al-Halimy Islamic Boarding School In Sesela Village of West Lombok Regency Abstract: The yellow book is an important factor which becomes characteristic of Islamic Boarding Schools. The results of the preliminary research showed that the Special Al-Halimy Islamic Boarding School of Sesela only studies classical books or yellow books which are not included in the governmental curriculum. The focuses of the study in this research included: First, it is related to the method used in yellow book learning; Second, it is related to how the application of learning methods is; Third, it is related to how the assessment after the implementation of yellow book learning takes place. The research design used descriptive qualitative. Then the results of the research showed that 1) special Al-Halimy Islamic Boarding School of Sesela applies several methods commonly used in Salaf Islamic Boarding Schools which teach yellow books, such as sorogan (individual), wetonan (group), and discussion methods. In addition, the types of methods used still use classical methods, namely the sorogan, bandongan, wetonan, and halaqoh methods, and also there are discussion, demonstration and question and answer methods, 2). The application of methods in yellow book learning is based on the suitability of method to be used with the subjects to be taught. 3). To find out the success level of a method applied in the yellow book learning at special Al-Halimy Islamic Boarding School of Sesela is by using several methods including testing directly. The final advice is given to the head of the Special Islamic Boarding School in order to maintain the tradition of the salaf Islamic Boarding School and incorporate the tradition of a better Khalaf Islamic Boarding School in order to give a positive impact on the progress of Islamic Boarding School education so that the graduates who truly understand the religion (tafaqquh fi al-din) will emerge and for  the teachers of special Al-Halimy Islamic Boarding School of Sesela, they have to be able to choose the right learning method and be able to see what the students need in joining the learning so that the learning objectives can be achieved.

This study examines and recognizes that Madurese ulama (Islamic Scholars) ate represented as charismatic characters placed in a strategic social layer who are influential to their society. Therefore, they have high authority in religious, social and cultural aspects. The manifestation of their scholarly traist are usually displayed in signs of their devotion in practicing religion, consistency in practicing their knowledge, being a role model and having the ability to transform knowledge th the midst of their society. The figure of a scholar in Madura is inseparable from his ownership of Islamic boarding schools (Pesantren) where they become the main center of the scholars' work on social and religious authority. This study discovered that Madurese scholars established and developed their authority th Islamic boarding schools; making it hard for the world of Islamic boarding schools to be separated from the lives of Madurese scholars. Therefore, the Islamic boarding school became the main authority center. The Islamic Boarding Schools' path is psychologically related to being more attached and they tend to generate significant mass. The emotional attachment between the santri (students of Islam) and their ulama (Islamic Scholars) will strengthen the authority of the scholars in all of the people's aspects of life.

<h1 align="center"><strong>Abstrak</strong></h1><p>Pentingnya peranan pesantren yang berada di KabupatenBogor menjadi motivasi untuk memecahkan masalah seperti sulitnya mencari letak pesantren dengan merancang dan membuat sebuah sistem yang dapat digunakan untuk mencari letak pesantren serta informasi lain yang terkait. Penerapan Sistem Informasi Geografis (SIG) merupakan langkah yang tepat untuk mengetahui lokasi pondok pesantren yang terdapat di Kabupaten Bogor bagian barat karena SIG mempunyai kemampuan yang sangat luas, baik dalam proses pemetaan dan analisis sehingga teknologi tersebut sering dipakai dalam proses perencanaan tata ruang.Pendekatan sistem berbasis spasial dalam melakukan analisis kinerja pesantren, diharapkan mempermudah dalam pencarian pesantren yang telah diidentifikasi tingkat optimalisasi kinerja pondok pesantren dengan menggunakan metode pendekatan AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) dan CPI (Composite Performance Index) yang dibedakan menggunakan teknik natural bricks, hanya ada dua pesantren di Kabupaten Bogor wilayah barat yang memiliki nilai optimal yaitu pesantren ummul quro al islami dan pesantren sahid. Hal ini disebabkan kedua pesantren  tersebut memiliki luas lahan yang sangat luas sehingga berpotensi unduk dapat dikembangkan membangun sarana dan prasarana yang dibutuhkan pesantren tersebut.</p><p align="center"><strong><em>Abstract</em></strong></p><p><em>The importance of the role of Islamic boarding schools in Bogor Regency is a motivation to solve problems such as the difficulty of finding the location of pesantren by designing and creating a system that can be used to find the location of pesantren and other related information. The application of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is the right step to find out the location of Islamic boarding schools in the western part of Bogor Regency because GIS has very broad capabilities, both in the process of mapping and analysis so that the technology is often used in the spatial planning process. Spatial based analysis of Islamic boarding school performance is expected to facilitate the search for Islamic boarding schools that have identified the level of optimization of Islamic boarding schools' performance using the Analytical Hierarchy Process and CPI (Composite Performance Index) methods that are distinguished by natural bricks, there are only two Islamic boarding schools. The western region of Bogor Regency has optimal values, namely ummul quro al Islamic boarding schools and sahid Islamic boarding schools. This is due to the fact that the two pesantren have a very large land area so that the potential of the Islamic boarding school can be developed to build the facilities and infrastructure needed by the </em><em>islamic boarding school</em><em>.</em></p>

The Wasatiyyah of Islam has been described as the value of moderation in Islam, emphasizing justice, balance, and tolerance. The Quran and al-Hadith contain these values, but they are often misunderstood and misapplied. The pesantren or Islamic boarding school, is an educational institution close to the community and it plays a key role in instilling the moderate values of Islam. This article aims at discussing the moderation of Islam in relation to other religions and religious communities as taught through the hadith and as understood among the teachers and students of three pesantrens in central Java. It investigates the teachers’ and students’ views of Islam as a religion among other religions, and their attitudes as the pesantren community toward other religious believers. It combines  textual research employing a mukhtalif al-hadiṡ approach and living or lived hadith research. It argues that the hadiths on inter-religious relationship are understood as a necessity to be just towards faith, which means that one should believe that his own faith is correct but should keep tolerant towards other faiths. This means giving others the right to choose and implement their own faiths, behaving in a balanced way, and conducting healthy competition in various fields, especially the proselytization or dawah. With this textual understanding, the students have generally been quite well informed about the values of Islamic moderation and they seek to apply it in their religious and social life. The students have learned about the hadiths on interreligious relations and the moderate values primarily from their teachers although they have read directly from books and sometimes from social media. Wasatiyyah Islam digambarkan sebagai nilai moderasi dalam Islam, menekankan keadilan, keseimbangan, dan toleransi. Al-Qur'an dan al-Hadis mengandung nilai-nilai ini, tetapi  sering disalahpahami dan diterapkan secara salah. Pesantren merupakan lembaga pendidikan yang dekat dengan masyarakat dan berperan penting dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai moderat Islam. Artikel ini bertujuan membahas moderasi Islam dalam kaitannya dengan agama dan umat beragama lain sebagaimana diajarkan melalui hadis dan sebagaimana dipahami para guru dan santri di tiga pesantren di Jawa Tengah. Artikel ini menyelidiki pandangan siswa tentang Islam sebagai agama di antara agama-agama lain, dan sikap mereka sebagai komunitas pesantren terhadap pemeluk agama lain. Ini menggabungkan penelitian tekstual yang menggunakan pendekatan mukhtalif al-hadiṡ dan penelitian hadits hidup (living or lived hadith). Artikel ini berargumen bahwa hadis-hadis tentang hubungan antarumat beragama dipahami sebagai keharusan untuk bersikap adil terhadap keimanan, yang berarti bahwa seseorang harus percaya bahwa imannya sendiri benar tetapi harus tetap toleran terhadap agama lain. Ini artinya memberikan hak kepada orang lain untuk memilih dan menjalankan keyakinannya sendiri, berperilaku seimbang, dan melakukan persaingan yang sehat di berbagai bidang, terutama dakwah. Dengan pemahaman tekstual ini, para santri secara umum telah terinformasi dengan baik tentang nilai-nilai moderasi Islam dan mereka terus menerapkannya dalam kehidupan keagamaan dan sosial mereka. Para siswa telah belajar tentang hadits tentang hubungan antaragama dan nilai-nilai moderat terutama dari guru mereka meskipun mereka telah membaca langsung dari buku dan kadang-kadang dari media sosial.

This study examined the leadership of the Kiai in the management of human resource in Islamic boarding schools in Jambi Province. This research used a descriptive analytical-qualitatives approach. Data collection was done by observation, interview, and documentation techniques. Data analysis used an interactive analysis model Miles and Huberman. Data reliability using participation extension techniques, observation accuracy, data triangulation, and consultation of promoters and promoters. Results of the study of the leadership of the Kiai in managing the boarding school human resources in Jambi Province was carried out by realizing the vision into action and work programs, receiving the right personnel in each position, even though it often collided with familiarity and limited compensation; carry out communication and coordination; and the leadership of the Kiai has not been able to manage the boarding school effectively due to weak management knowledge and synergy in realizing the vision.
