The selection and determination of appropriate learning strategies can improve the results to be obtained from the application of classroom learning models. This writing aims to discipline students to develop individual abilities of students to be more active in the learning process and improve the quality of learning. The learning process in Indonesia in general only uses conventional learning models that make students passive and undeveloped. In order for the quality of learning to increase, the Team Assisted Individualization learning model is combined with the task learning and forced strategies. The Team Assisted Individualization cooperative learning model is one of the cooperative learning models that combines learning individually and in groups. Meanwhile, task and forced learning strategies are strategies that focus on giving assignments that require students to complete them on time so that the learning process can run effectively. Students are required to do assignments according to the given deadline. This makes students become familiar with the tasks given by the teacher. Combining or modifying the learning model of the assisted individualization team with forced and forced learning strategies is expected to be able to make students more active, disciplined, independent, creative in learning and responsible for the tasks assigned. Therefore this method of incorporation is very necessary in the learning process and can be applied to improve the quality of learning in schools.

The media used have their respective characteristics and are always adapted to the learning material to be taught. Although they have differences in learning strategies and the media used in teaching, however, they have the same goal of achieving success in teaching so that the expected goals can be achieved and provide meaningful experiences to students.

This writing deals with developing moral values by the ‘project citizen’ through several stages of its learning. Hopefully this article could act its role in enlightening and motivating for the teachers to be able to use this model later. Starting from the idea of character building by John Dewey (1859-1952) through the flow of Progressivism. He explains that "schools should make students as citizens to be more democratic, free thinking and intelligent". It can be interpreted that the role of the school as an institution must provide learning that can develop a wide range of student competence. The most appropriate learning strategies to achieve what is thought of this school is by using learning model of ‘project citizen’. This model is basically based on the strategy of inquiry learning, discovery learning, problem solving, and research-oriented learning. From the experiments which conducted, using the model is able to achieve competency in the subject of Civic Education. The model of project citizen learning has become the best model, which is able to develop the character of students through the process of participative learning. Therefore, educating character as a pillar of our national education goals, could be developed through the learning model of project citizen.

The way people learn has changed over the last years. New pedagogical theories show that engaging and active learning approaches are particularly successful in improving conceptual understanding and enhancing the students' learning success and motivation. The Motivational Active Learning approach combines engagement strategies based on active and collaborative learning models with gamification. While many active learning models rely on in-class setups and active and personal interactions between students and between instructors, MAL was designed to integrate active learning in different settings. Our research project focuses on enhanced learning strategies with MAL in different computer-supported scenarios. This chapter outlines the potential of the pedagogical model MAL (Motivational Active Learning) in the context of blended and virtual learning scenarios; it also summarizes relevant literature and discusses implications and future work.
