Diabetes mellitus is a disease caused by the generation of high blood sugar levels. The treatment of diabetes mellitus is usually with weight control, diet, exercise, and pharmacologis treatment with the drug. One treatment in an alternative way, namely with aloe vera juice can lower blood sugar levels. The purpose of reasearch was to identify the effect of aloe vera juice to decrease blood sugar levels in people with diabetes mellitus at sub village IV village marindal sub district patumbak district deli serdang. The design used is design pre - post without control. The total population is 50 respondents. Sampling techniques used is the formula notoadmojho 10% with a sample of five samples. Independent variables prior to the giving of aloe vera and the dependent variable was after the administering aloe vera. Analysis of the data used T test. From the results, a significant value pvalue = 0.001 which means there is the effect of aloe vera juice to decrease blood sugar levels in people with diabetes mellitus .There is a significant reduction in blood sugar levels of 166.373 mg / dl after administering  juice aloe vera 150 gr per day during 7 days.

There are still many of our people who have never heard or even seen the shape of the Japanese ants, so sometimes people consume Japanese ants with different doses between people with each other and even some who consume Japanese ants are not appropriate doses because they want to get well soon. The purpose of research to know the relationship between consumption patterns of Japanese ants and blood sugar levels of people with diabetes mellitus. The design of this study is correlational analytic with crossectional approach. Variables of this research there are two that is the pattern of consumption of Japanese ants as an independent variable and blood sugar levels as the dependent variable. The population of this study was all patients with diabetes Mellitus who had suffered > 5 years who consumed Japanese ants in Grinting Village Karangjeruk Village Jatirejo Subdistrict Mojokerto regency as many as 10 respondents. in the sampling of researchers using total sampling technique. Data collection with an observation sheet of Japanese ant consumption and blood sugar level. The result of the research showed that most of the respondents consume Japanese ants regularly as much as 6 respondents (60%) and most respondents have blood sugar level in the normal category that is between 100-125 mg/dl as many as 6 respondents (60%). Consumption Japanese ants can routinely lower blood sugar levels of people with diabetes mellitus because ants contain enzymes that can keep blood sugar levels diabetics.

Opuntia sp. used in mexican traditional medicine diminishes blood sugar levels when orally administered. Possible seasonal variations in the hypoglycaemic property of Opuntia streptacantha Lemaire, were studied using the fresh sap of its stems collected throughout the year. The evaluation was performed in the already proven sensitive experimental model in normal rabbits. No seasonal variation in the hypoglycaemic activity of this plant product was detected suggesting it can be used year round for the treatment of Diabetes mellitus.

The purpose of this study was to identify the effectiveness of giving aloe vera boiled water to decrease blood sugar levels in type II Diabetes Mellitus patients at Batunyala Community Health Center, Central Praya District, Central Lombok Regency, NTB. The research design used in this study is a quasi-experimental design pre and post with control group. Respondents were patients who had been treated at Batunyala Health Center, Praya Tengah District, Central Lombok Regency, NTB and diagnosed with type II diabetes mellitus. The total sample in this study was 22 samples with 11 respondents in the intervention group and 11 respondents in the control group using porposivesampling technique. The results of the Dependent t test in getting the results of the average blood sugar level before intervention was 178.73 and after the intervention was 172.18 with an average decrease of 2.258. The results of the Dependent T test obtained P value (0.016) <(0.05) and t count (2.899)> t table (1,812) then Ho was rejected meaning that there were differences in blood sugar levels before and after the intervention giving aloe vera water.   Key words : Aloe Vera, Blood Sugar Levels, Type II Diabetes Mellitus

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a disease in which blood glucose levels are high because the body can not release or use insulins sufficiently. Treatment of diabetes includes weight control, exercise and diet. One way of diet is to use brown rice. The purpose of this study to determine the effectiveness of red rice diet in lowering blood sugar levels in patients with DM. The design of this research used Quasy-Experiment research design with Simple Random Sampling method. The sample used was 16 respondents from population of 76 DM patients who performed outpatient at Puskesmas Palengaan in June 2008. Data collection was done by observing the blood sugar level before and after intervention of red rice diet using GlucoDr tool. After being tabulated, the existing data were analyzed by using Paired Sample T Test with a significance level of 0.05. The results of statistical tests obtained that H0 rejected and H1 accepted, meaning red rice diet is effective against the decrease in blood sugar levels DM patients with a value of t count of 7.202 with a significant level of 0.000. Given the results of this study proves that the red rice diet can reduce blood sugar levels of DM patients so the need for awareness of DM patients to implement a red rice diet in order to reduce the risk of complications from DM.

AbstractDiabetes Mellitus is a group of metabolic diseases with characteristic hyperglycemia that accurs due to abnormalities in insulin secretion, insulin action or both disorders. Management of Diabetes Mellitus one of which is the bean stew. Bean stew contain substances stigmasterol and sitisterol that can stimulate the pancreatic β- cells to secrete insulin in peripheral tissues. The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of bean stew on blood sugar levels in people with DM .The research method used experimental research design that is one group pre test-post test design, which reveal a causal relationship by engaging a group of subjects were observed prior to treatment. Samples taken by 32 respondents. The resulting data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test with 0,05 significance level.The results showed that there was a bean stew effect on blood sugar levels. In the experimental group before the treated bean stew almost 100% had hyperglycemia number of 32 respondents. Then after being given treatment hampit 100% decrease, slthough not within normal limits number of 32 respondents. After calculation by Wilcoxon test was obtained count  value (4,89)   table (1,96), then the alternative hypothesis is accepted and the null hypothesis is rejected, it means there chickpea stew influence on blood sugar levels in people with DM.Bean stew can lower blood sugar levels in DM patients. Expected DM patients experiencing hyperglycemia can use in addition to pharmacological therapies that bean stew in addressing the problem of blood sugar levels.

This study aims to determine the effect of diabetes gymnastics on the decrease in blood sugar levels of diabetic patients at the puskesmas Bah Kapul Pematangsiantar. This research was conducted in Juni - Agustus 2017, the design of this study was comparative. The sample size in this study were 21 respondents obtained by total population sampling. Data were obtained through questionnaires, interviews and direct capillary blood sampling of respondents to then measured blood sugar levels by using glucose meter. Data analysis was done gradually including descriptive and paired samples t-test. The results of this study showed that before doing gymnastics in the first week of the average blood sugar levels of respondents was 272.4 mg / dl and after doing gymnastics in the fourth week of the average blood sugar levels of respondents was 257.04 mg / dl, blood sugar of 15.36 mg / dl. Result of paired samples t-test significantly decrease blood sugar level at respondent with p value of 0,041. This means that there is influence of diabetes gymnastics to the decrease of blood sugar level of diabetic patient. It is expected for health service to be a motivator and provide intensive counseling for people with diabetes mellitus to do gymnastic gymnastics routine to lower blood sugar level and prevent complication of diabetes mellitus. ABSTRACT Diabetes mellitus is a health disorder caused by an increase in blood sugar levels due to insulin resistance.  Fasting can be used as a way to control diet, when fasting calories in the body will be reduced and the body will break down glycogen into glucose so that glucose levels can decrease. The purpose of this paper is to determine the effect of Ramadan fasting and eating patterns on blood sugar levels in people with diabetes mellitus.  The method used with the literature review is by reviewing several journals about the effect of fasting Ramadan and diet on blood sugar levels in people with diabetes mellitus. The results of this paper show that fasting has a significant effect on reducing blood sugar levels in Diabetes Mellitus patients.  Decreased blood sugar levels are also influenced by diet. The conclusion of this writing shows that there is an influence on the decrease in blood sugar levels in people with diabetes mellitus who carry out Ramadan fasting.  Then in the relationship between eating patterns, there is a relationship between diet and the incidence of diabetes.
