In this study, it is aimed to examine the relationship between personality traits and career planning trends of tourism management employees. The data required for the study were obtained from a total of 391 employees in five and four-star five-city hotels in Ankara. The collected data were analyzed by quantitative methods to test the relationship between variables. First, the correlation coefficients between the sub-dimensions of the scales were calculated. Then, t-test and variance (One-way Anova) analysis were used to determine possible differences between career planning dimensions and demographic characteristics. As a result of the study, it was found that there was a positive and significant relationship between extrovert personality type and career planning while a negative significant relationship was found between neurotic personality type and career planning.

ABSTRACTThe aim of this study was finding the relationship between religiosity and adolescent aggressiveness at Madrasah Aliyah Assalaam Temanggung. The instruments are the religiosity scale and aggressiveness scale. Data was collected from 100 adolescence subjects ages 16-18 years, sitting in class X and XI MA Assalaam. Data analysis techniques used Pearson Product Moment Correlation (2-tailed). The result showed that the correlation coefficients obtained for (r) = -0.468 with a significance level of 0.000 (p <0.01). The conclusion, there is a negative significant relationship between religiosity to adolescent aggressiveness. The negative coefficient showed correlation to the both variables was negative. This means that increasing religious level can make decreasing aggression level, and converse, decreasing religious level can make increasing aggression level. Thus, the hypothesis in this study is acceptable. Keywords: religiosity, aggressiveness, adolescence

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the mediating effect of optimism on the relationship between grit and learning flow in nursing college students. Methods: Structured self-reported questionnaires were used to measure grit, optimism and learning flow. The study was conducted on 200 nursing students in P, U and J cities between September 1 and September 20, 2020. The data were analyzed using a t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation coefficients and hierarchical multiple linear regression with SPSS/WIN 23.0. Results: Significant relationships were found between learning flow and grit (r=.60, p<.001), between learning flow and optimism (r=.42, p<.001), and between grit and optimism (r=.42, p<.001). Additionally, optimism had a partial mediating effect on the relationship between grit and learning flow (Z=3.11, p<.001). Conclusion: These results indicate that interventions to increase the level of grit along with optimism is necessary in order to increase the level of nursing college students’ learning flow.

The present study was conducted to investigate peoples’ perception level and awareness of air pollution in some selected areas of Mymensingh sadar upazila. The relationship of independent variables (age, educational qualification, family size, residence and communication exposure) with the peoples’ perception level and awareness of air pollution (dependent variable) was done to understand the objectives of the study. Six Hundreds (600) respondents were selected randomly from six study sites under Mymensingh sadar upazila for collecting data during the period of Jan 2016-April, 2017. Pearson’s product-moment correlation coefficients were computed to examine the relationship between the concerned variables. The findings revealed that about half (46.67 percent) of the peoples had medium perception and awareness, 31.67 percent had low and 21.67 percent had high perception and awareness about air pollution. In rural areas, 43.33 percent respondents had low, 50.00 percent had medium and only 6.67 percent had high perception and awareness of air pollution. In urban areas, 20.00 percent respondents had low, 43.33 percent had medium and 36.67 percent had high perception and awareness of air pollution. Majority of the respondents (93.33 percent) were lacking of proper awareness of air pollution in rural areas while 63.33 percent in urban areas. Out of five independent variables, three variables such as educational qualification, residence and communication exposure had positive and significant relationship, age had negative and significant relationship and family size had no relationship with their perception and awareness of air pollution.Progressive Agriculture 29 (1): 22-32, 2018

This study aims to examine the relationship between loneliness and selfie-liking. The hypothesis of this research is that there is a positive relationship between loneliness and selfie-liking among college students. This research used correlational quantitative methods. Participants in this research was 64 students, which was taken by purposive sampling technique, with inclusive criteria: like to do selfie and in the last month post the selfie photos to social media as much as 4-6 times. Data were collected using the Loneliness Scale from UCLA Version 3 and selfie-liking measured by Selfie-Liking Scale.  The correlation was analyzed using the Spearman Correlation Test with SPSS 23 for Windows. The results showed there was a positive and significant relationship between loneliness and self-liking (r=.297; p=.009) which means the higher loneliness, the higher selfie-liking.

The study’s objective is to analyze the relationship of the documents service quality (X1) and the speed of loading and unloading of general cargo (X2) with service user satisfaction (Y) in Tubagus Jaya PT Maritim, either individually or jointly. Research using quantitative methods, with a population of consumers Tubagus Jaya PT Maritim many as 67 people and the determination of a sample of 30 people. Data were analyzed by using multiple regression and multiple linear regression, simple correlation and partial correlation. Results: 1. There is a correlation between the quality of service of documents by the service user satisfaction is r of 0.794 means there is a very strong relationship and the direction (positive), and the regression hypothesis there is no significant relationship to thitung greater than t table (10.529> 1.669) or hypothesis H1 be accepted. 2.Hasil correlation between the speed of loading and unloading of general cargo with service user satisfaction obtained r of 0.651 means a strong relationship and the direction (positive), and the hypothesis of regression showed a significant relationship that is greater than ttable thitung (6.914> 1.669) or hypothesis H2 be accepted. 3. Results of correlation between the quality of service of documents and speed of loading and unloading of general cargo together with service user satisfaction obtained r of 0.814 means the relationship is very strong and direct (positive), and F count larger than F table (62.871> 3.140) or the research hypothesis H3 is received.

This study aims to identify the relationship between Big Five Personality and job satisfaction in UTM, Johor campus. Respondents of the study consisted of 272 support staffs. Personality Big Five was measured by using the NEO Five Factor Inventory (McCrae, 2004). Meanwhile, job satisfaction was measured by using the Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire (MSQ) (Weiss et al, 1967). The findings of the pilot study showed that Alpha Cronbach for Big Five Personality is between .75 to .88 and .84 to .85 for job satisfaction. Descriptive statistical analysis consists of frequency and percentage and inferential statistics of Pearson Correlation coefficients were used to test the hypothesis of the study at a significant level of .05. The findings showed that the most dominant dimension based on Big Five Personality for support staffs in UTM, Johor campus is agreeableness, whereas the level of job satisfaction is low. The results also showed that there is a significant relationship between conscientiousness and job satisfaction (r = 0.24, p <.05). While the agreeableness was also found to have significant relationship with job satisfaction (r = 0.25, p <.05). This study provides information on differences of Big Five Personality dimensions among support staffs, where UTM’s management can use the information to assist support staffs improving their job satisfaction. This study also provides some suggestions for improvement in the future.
