This study aims to describe the factors that support students' ability in the learning process to speak using video. This research was classroom action research. Classroom action research was done in four steps: planning, action, observation, and reflection. Quantitative data was gained from the score of the student's speaking test. The test was given at the end of every cycle. The qualitative data was collected through the result of observation. It described the factors that support the students' ability to speak based on the result observation from the collaborator activities both the students and the researcher itself. The research aimed to explain how video can increase students' speaking skills in the second semester of the English Education Study Program for IKIP Gunungsitoli. Using video can increase students' skills in speaking. Quantitative data support it included test results in every cycle. The quantitative data show that students have improved speaking skills in every cycle using video and reaching the indicator of success. The students' ability to speak cannot pass the score standard in the cycle because most students cannot convey their ideas about the material. However, in cycle II, there is increasing in student's ability to speak. The quantitative data also is supported by the qualitative data through observation results. The observation sheet result describes that the students' activities improved every meeting by using video.

This research is a classroom action research which aims to find out the planning, process, and results of beach ball learning methods in students' German speaking skills. The research data consists of two types, namely: qualitative data and quantitative data. Qualitative data is obtained through observation, and quantitative data is obtained through the first cycle and second cycle speaking skills tests. Data were analyzed using percentage techniques. The results showed that speaking skills with the percentage of grades obtained by students in the first cycle reached 60.66%, and the second cycle reached 78.25%. These results indicate that the application of the beach ball learning method increases in students' German speaking skills

<em>The study aimed to apply the steps of inside outside circle (ioc) model and to improve student speaking skills and cooperation. The research was a collaborative Classroom Action Research (CAR) carried out in three cycles. The subjects were  third grade students of SD Negeri 1 Kutosari in academic year of 2019/2020. Qualitative data was the application of Inside Outside Circle (IOC) model. Quantitative data was the increasing student speaking skills and cooperation. The results showed that Inside Outside Circle (IOC) model improved student speaking skills and cooperation in five steps. It was proven by oral exam percentages which were 70.32% in the first cycle, 79.83% in the second cycle, and 89.01% in the third cycle. The  student cooperation percentages were 60.83% in the first cycle, 75.57% in the second cycle, and 84.25% in the third cycle. It concludes that there is significant improvement of student speaking skills by the application of Inside Outside Circle (IOC) model.</em>

This study addresses how writing games improve acceleration students� writing narrative achievement, also observe how students� behavior during playing the games and also the teacher on conducting the games along the research. This study has been conducted in acceleration students. It uses classroom action research, the data analyzed from qualitative and quantitative data. The qualitative data are about teacher�s interview and students� questionnaire, while the quantitative data is about their scores on writing narrative. To solve the problem, the teacher has implemented Writing Games as a technique. Writing Games contain of games which tend to writing ability and in this case, the teacher chose two kinds of writing games; they are �Silly Story� and �What�s Next?�. �Silly Story� focuses on students� ability on writing sentences and �What�s Next?� focuses on students� ability on making paragraph. This research consists of two cycles and each of it has planning, action, observation and reflection. These findings implicate that acceleration students were interested with writing games and involved in it well. However, during the research, especially in the first cycle, there was still one group was less active in �Silly Story� because they could not discuss each other and the group was quiet big.�

This study concerns on improving students’ achievement in writing procedure texts through word webbing technique. The research was conducted by using Classroom Action Research (CAR). The population was the 2012-2013 nine grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Batang Kuis. The number of students was 36, consisting of 21 females and 15 males. The procedure of the research was administrated into two cycles where each cycle consisted of three meetings. Each meeting included four steps namely: planning, action, observation, and reflection. There were two kinds of data collected during the study, qualitative and quantitative data. The instrument for collecting the quantitative data was the writing of procedure texts test while the qualitative data were gathered by using interview, diary notes and observation sheet. Based on the data analysis, the mean of students’ score in Test I was 53,47, for the Test II was 63,05, and for the Test III was 75 The qualitative data showed that the students were interested in the applying of Word webbing Technique. The conclusion is that Word Webbing Technique in writing Procedure Texts improves the students’ achievement in writing procedure texts. This research aims to determine the increase in memory of children in memorization of Hadith through movement method in PAUD Darul Fikri. This type of research is classroom action research, which was held in July 2018 until August 2018. The study consisted of two cycles with four main activities present on each cycle, namely planning, observation action, and reflection. Data is analyzed using qualitative data and quantitative data. The subject in this study was a child in the Darul Fikri PAUD. A total of 17 children. The data collection techniques used are oral test and observation techniques. Oral tests include how many hadiths have been memorized and the child's ability to repeat their memorization. While the observation is done directly to see the implementation of the program of memorization of the hadith in Paud Darul Fikri.

<p>This study is aimed at gaining an understanding of the influence of e-portfolio on the process and quality of translation (acceptability, accuracy, and readability) of students and how e-portfolio affects the process and quality of student translations. The method used in this research is sequential explanatory design. The subjects of this study are the third-year students of English Education Department at Universitas Singaperbangsa Karawang (UNSIKA) Indonesia who took translation practice course. The quantitative data are taken from the pre-test and post-test results. The qualitative data are gained from questionnaire and interview. After analysis, it is found that e-portfolio influenced the students’ translation ability where the value is Sig. = 0.001 &lt; α = 0.05. It was discovered that 82% students achieved higher score in acceptability. Meanwhile, 62% students achieved higher score in accuracy, and only 56% students achieved higher score in readability. In terms of translation process, e-portfolio helps students track their progress, give and receive feedback from various participants, as well as have virtual room to sort their works which are easily accessible.</p>

The purpose of this study was to reveal the execution of story face strategy in the process of narrative text teaching and learning, and also to describe about reading comprehension of after using story face strategy in classroom. The participants were all students of grade X.2 grade of Miftahul Huda Sungai Luar. The instruments to collect qualitative data were observation sheet, interview, and field note. The quantitative instrument is reading comprehension test. On the basis of data analysis, it is found that Story Face Strategy enhanced students 'understanding of reading in narrative text. The improvements occurred in cycle 1 and cycle 2. The improvement of students’ reading comprehension is 59.4 (enough) to 71.7 (good). The result suggests that the use of the story face strategy to enhance students 'understanding of reading in narrative text is successful for grade X.2 students. The variables that alter the enhancement of the students depending on the results of the interview and observation indicate students' enthusiasm when using of story face sheets in the story face strategy.Keywords: story face strategy, reading comprehension, narrative text

This research aimed at finding out whether Listen-Read-Discuss (LRD) strategy improves students’ reading comprehension or not. The research was a classroom action research. The data collected through quantitative and qualitative approach. Quantitative data was gained from the result of pre-test and post-test from reading test. Meanwhile, qualitative data was gained from the result of observation sheets toward students’ and teachers’ activity. The instruments used by the researcher were test and observation sheet. The finding of the research showed that the strategy Listen-Read-Discuss improve the students’ reading comprehension in descriptive text. The improvement can be seen from the mean score of students from pre-test, post-test one, and post-test two. The mean score of pre-tests was 64.46 (50%), there were eight students who passed the minimum passing grade, in the post-test one, 75.35 (67%), twelve students passed the minimum passing grade and in the post-test two, 82.14 (89%), twenty-five students passed the minimum passing grade (KKM).

This study was focused on the improvement of Grade XI students’ writing achievement in analytical exposition through the application of collaborative writing strategy. The objective of this study was to find out whether collaborative writing strategy could improve Grade XI students’ writing achievement in analytical exposition text. The study was conducted by using Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subjects of this study were students of Grade XI Class 2 of State Senior High School (Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri: SMAN) 4 Pematangsiantar consisting of 32 students. The study was implemented in two cycles and each cycle consisted of three meetings. The instruments of data collection consisted of quantitative and qualitative data. The quantitative data were taken from students’ written test and the qualitative data were taken from the interview, diary notes, observation sheet, and questionnaire. Based on the analytical exposition writing result, students’ score was 57.9. In the test of Cycle I, the mean score was 67, and in the test of Cycle II was 78.3. Based on the observation sheet, it was found that the teaching-learning process well done. The students were active and curious in writing. In line with the data, it was found that collaborative writing strategy can improve Grade XI students’ writing achievement in analytical exposition text. Social skills and collaboration of children in playing games and supporting factors and constraints of the whirlwind game in improving social skills and collaboration of children in Al-Akbar Kindergarten, Jambi City. Classroom Action Research was conducted at Al-Akbar Kindergarten, Jambi City. The method used in research is the Classroom Action Research method. Research was conducted in three cycles, each cycle consisted of stages of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Quantitative and qualitative data collection. Indicators of success are as follows: increasing social skills and cooperation more than 80% and minimum teacher performance Good percentage of 3.00. From the data analysis of first cycle research, the results of the ability of social skills and the collaboration of children in playing areas were 45% with very less categories, then improvements to the results of the study increased by 70 % with sufficient categories. To further maximize the social skills and collaboration of children through playing, the research continues to improve the third cycle with a very good increase to 90%. Based on the results of the study, the researchers concluded that playing the game at Al-Akbar Kindergarten in Jambi City could improve social skills and child cooperation and improve teacher performance. Based on the results of the study, it can be suggested to use a whirlwind game in providing learning especially to improve social skills and cooperation in early childhood.
