The Covid-19 pandemic broke out unexpectedly, and it is difficult to anticipate its future effects. As a result of the lockdowns, many enterprises were forced to curtail their business as early as in the first months of the pandemic. In view of such unprecedented phenomena, a question arises about possible effects of the pandemic on the financial standing of enterprises. The authors of this paper aimed to assess the immediate effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on the financial security of small enterprises in Poland, since the financial security is seen as an important factor influencing organizational resilience. This article applies the desk research and comparative analysis methods, which were conduct based on statistic office data. The studied enterprises were analysed in terms of changes in their liquidity ratios, sales profitability ratios as well as their revenue and profit levels – the results have shown a considerable diversity across sectors. Based on the assessment of changes in the indicators, the analysed sectors were categorised as: resistant sectors, hardly affected sectors, moderately affected sectors, severely affected sectors. The analysis of the selected indicators of financial security has shown that the financial result as well profitability levels were the indicators that deteriorated in the greatest number of sectors. Surprisingly, financial liquidity remained the most stable indicator. The research results can be helpful in proper channelling aid to enterprises to recover from crisis, since in first month of the pandemic most of financial support was not diversified

The aim of this article is to present research on consolidation of enterprises, especially units operating in the private sector. The method of comparative analysis and synthesis of the author’s own research results was used in the study, which proved the hypothesis that consolidation of the surveyed enterprises, which operate in the private sector, causes a gradual decrease in the phenomenon of the precariat, mainly due to an increase in the number of indefinite duration employment contracts. The author personally conducted telephone interviews with managers of variously sized companies. The survey covered 1,000 business entities from Poland, including 550 micro enterprises, 280 small enterprises, 120 medium-sized entities and 50 large enterprises, which in the years 2005–2018 were transformed as a result of consolidation processes (mergers or acquisitions). These phone conversations were conducted as free interviews.

The purpose of the article is to propose methodological assistance to the selfgovernment system in developing strategies for sustainable development of territorialcommunities. Methodology. The research used the works of foreign and domesticspecialists involved in the development of sustainable development strategies.Authors applied methods of scientific comparative analysis, general scientificmethods of theoretical, empirical research and a method of expert evaluation. Scientificnovelty includes clear well-structured approach to identification of what is neededto develop a strategy of territorial communities’ development, important tasks fora working group, SWOT analysis methods, what should be analysed to achievestrategic goals and consistency of organizational details. Conclusions. Complianceto the proposed scientific methodological approaches to the development of thestrategies of territorial communities’ sustainable development enables the communityto obtain a strategic algorithm for its sustainable development.

The subject of the research is a set of approaches to the statistical analysis ofthe activities of small business entities in Ukraine, including micro-enterprises. The purpose of writing this article is to study of the features of functioningof small business entities in Ukraine. Methodology. The research methodology isto use a system-structural and comparative analysis (to study the change in thenumber of small enterprises by major components); monographic (when studyingmethods of statistical analysis of small businesses); economic analysis (when assessing the impact of small business entities on socio-economic phenomena andprocesses in Ukraine). The scientific novelty consists to determine the features ofthe functioning of small businesses in Ukraine in modern conditions. The influenceof the activities of the main socio-economic and political indicators on the activities of small enterprises in recent periods of time has been identified. It has beenestablished that there is flexibility in the development of strategies by small businesses in conditions of significant competition, which makes it possible to quicklyrespond to changing situations in specific markets. Conclusions. The use of acomprehensive statistical analysis of small businesses functioning in Ukraine willallow government agencies to develop a set of measures to optimize the activitiesof these enterprises, which ultimately will positively affect the strengthening oftheir competitiveness and will contribute to the growth of the national economicsystem.

Based on the materials of the family of architects Zimonenko-Feierstein, this article examines the peculiarities of avant-garde and constructivism. Roman Feierstein and Lyubov Zimonenko graduated the Moscow University of Arctitecture and were taught by pedagogues – the representative of avant-garde and constructivism. To understand the nature of avant-garde and constructivism, the author characterizes the goals and tasks solved by these trends and concepts, as well as analyzes the works of Roman Feierstein and Lyubov Zimonenko. It is demonstrated that constructivists create artistic reality, juxtaposing and simultaneously combining various processes and contents, sending over consciousness of a spectator to a particular reality. This pattern is inherent not only to figurative art, but also literature. The article employs situational and comparative analysis, methods of reconstruction of the works of applied arts and generalization. As a result, the author was able to reveal certain peculiarities of avant-garde and constructivism as an approach and activity, as well as underline that avant-garde and constructivism as approaches also suggest conceptualism. The role of conceptualism consists in outlining and explaining of reality, created by an artist for their audience.

The article considers the state and tendencies of development of financial provision of social protection in Ukraine. Modern problems of financing the sphere of social protection of the population in Ukraine are revealed. The importance of understanding the social protection of the population as a system of financial relations necessary to compensate for social risks and ensure social security is substantiated. The essence and features of financial provision of social protection of the population are revealed. The research of directions of budgetary financing of social sphere at the state level is carried out. The financial mechanism of realization of social protection which provides formation of the sources of the financial resources directed on performance of the corresponding programs and actions, and also the substantiated choice of methods, forms and levers of their use is investigated. It is proved that one of the significant obstacles to the effective implementation of social policy in our country is the insufficient level of its financial security in combination with irrational planning, distribution and inefficient use of available financial resources.

This research aimed to analyze the effects of knowledge, training, and competency on the performance, which local public agricultural mentors/officers in the Yapen Islands Regency are the unit analysis. Of 100 respondents were used as the saturated sample in this research. The research applied a survey method and used a five-point Likert scale as the instrument and the statistics program SPSS to analyze data. The analysis methods included descriptive analysis, validity and reliability tests, classical assumption test, and regression analysis. The research results show that the variables knowledge, training, and competency had significant positive effects on local public agricultural mentors' performance at the Yapen Islands Regency.

В статье раскрываются направления развития системы малых предприятий как основы государственной экономики, а также фокусируется внимание на ряде отрицательных моментов, которые деактивизируют малый бизнес, приводя к их ликвидации. В сложный кризисный период, когда субъекты малого бизнеса первыми оказались не готовы к экономической нестабильности, государство предлагает многокомпонентное решение в виде финансовых программ-поддержки. В статье выделены четыре группы программ, каждая из которых определяет свои приоритетные направления для активизации малых предприятий The article reveals the directions of development of the system of small enterprises as the basis of the state economy, and also focuses on a number of negative aspects that deactivate small businesses, leading to their liquidation. In a difficult crisis period, when small businesses were the first to be unprepared for economic instability, the state offers a multi-component solution in the form of financial support programs. The article identifies four groups of programs, each of which defines its priority areas for the activation of small businesses.
