Due to the lack of a unique definition of literacy and the need for redefining this conception in a context characterized by the changes generated by the inclusion of new technologies in all aspects of the society, this explicative research article is oriented toward proposing a definition of literacy from an integral conception which is based on three main kinds of literacy: functional, informational and ethical. This integral conception must orient the basic contents in the school curricula in all current educational models, mainly at the university level. We consider that knowledge is unique; it should not be divided into pieces. Therefore, it is necessary to integrate the new technologies, from this new paradigm, in the contents of the school curricula. The present article compiles some general considerations about literacy, proposes a new definition of literacy from an integral conception, as well as each one of its components.

Thai Buddhist meditation practice tradition has its long history since the Sukhothai Kingdom about 18th B.E., until the present day at 26th B.E. in the Kingdom of Thailand. In history there were many well-known Buddhist meditation master teachers, i.e., SomdejPhraBhudhajaraya (To Bhramarangsi), Phraajarn Mun Puritatto, Luang Phor Sodh Chantasalo, PhramahaChodok Yanasitthi, and Buddhadasabhikkhu, etc. Buddhist meditation practice is generally regarded by Thai Buddhists to be a higher state of doing a good deed than doing a good deed by offering things to Buddhist monks even to the Buddha. Thai Buddhists believe that practicing Buddhist meditation can help them to have mindfulness, peacefulness in their own lives and to finally obtain Nibbana that is the ultimate goal of Buddhism. The present article aims to briefly review history, and movement of Thai Buddhist Meditation Practice Tradition and to take a case study of students’ Buddhist meditation practice research at the university level as an example of the movement of Buddhist meditation practice tradition in Thailand in the present.

Public access to underwater and maritime cultural heritage has proven to have a very positive effect on the local economy. This type of heritage is very attractive for the cultural tourism sector in general and for active and diving tourism. The Nautical and Underwater Archeology Line of the University of Cadiz, within the framework of the TIDE Project (Interreg Atlantic Area) and Herakles Project (FEDER-UCA18-107327) have been working on the enhancement of maritime and underwater heritage through the application of new technologies. In this paper, we will present the advances in the project in the Strait of Gibraltar, based on the first phase of scientific analysis and on the definition of a common working methodology that has resulted in a toolkit for the development of tourism activities linked to the MCH and UCH. Pilot activities under development are focused on accessible underwater heritage routes, VR applications to create Dry Dive experiences and the streaming of underwater archaeological works, thanks to a bottom-surface acoustic communication buoy. Results show that these types of outreach solutions and, by extension, of tourism application, must be preceded by a rigorous archaeological research process, a study of the target audience and the evaluation of the carrying capacity of the sites, to avoid falling into the mercantilisation or deterioration of the UCH. On the other hand, virtual or indirect access solutions are very useful, but always through the correct interpretation of the heritage.

Theoretical aspects of innovation theory and its categorical apparatus are considered in the article. Development of ideas about the place and importance of innovation in the spread of innovative theories and approaches to the categories of "innovation" and "innovative development" are analyzed. Own reasoning is presented and own definition of investigated terms that based on the analysis is given. Knowing of theoretical essentials of innovations will enable to create an effective system of management of innovation processes at the enterprise. From this point of view it is expedient to consider the definitions of innovations and their classification. In given article, an author reveals the notions of innovation and innovation process that exist in economic literature by now, considers existing classifications of innovations. An author also gives his own classification of innovations, reveals his understanding of notion of innovation. Currently, the term "innovation" is found everywhere. It has become especially widespread in the sphere of production, although it is not limited to it and applies to almost all areas of human activity. The world and domestic economy form a new paradigm of development, which is based on the growing relationship between socio-economic development of society and new technologies, the global nature of the creation and use of research and development. The creation and implementation of innovations becomes the main internal factor and the key to uture economic growth. As world experience shows, the successful use of scientific and technological progress can significantly affect the course of economic processes and significantly accelerate them. The term "innovative development" consists of two categories – "innovation" and "development". As they are widely used in almost all fields of knowledge and areas of activity, they do not have an unambiguous definition and are the subject of research by domestic and foreign scientists of various profiles.

The concept of well being has become the main criterion to assess quality of life in contemporary society. Individual well-being describes the individual quality of life, while social well-being refers to quality of life in a society. Given that well-being has a multitude of dimensions, a unique definition of it is elusive to scholars. In this article social well-being is conceptualised as a dynamic process within the context set by social integration as one?s relationship to society and the community. This includes the quality of interaction between the individual and society and one?s ?social actualisation? understood as the realisation of one?s social capacities. Social actualisation also involves one?s ability to influence social processes and to benefit from social cohesion, which consists, in any society, of the quality, organisation and functioning of the social world. Hence the ability to impact society is an integral part of individual well being. This paper suggests that philosophical practice as a new paradigm in the humanities holds out promise for the improvement of both individual and social well-being.

The growth of networks at a global level is inevitable due to the increase of users, devices and applications, such as: Internet of Things (IoT), processing and analysis of large amounts of information (Big Data), or streaming audio and video, which has demanded from the systems, greater storage resources and bandwidth. To this purpose, diverse paradigms have emerged for the centralized management of all the components of a network through fully administrable, centralized and dynamic technological platforms; among these is SDN (Software-Defined Networks). This document, consequently, establishes the state-of-art from a documentary research of a categorical type to be used as a frame of reference for research in the area of SDN by the Research Group of New Technologies of Social Application GIDENUTAS ascribed to the University Francisco Jose de Caldas. This is chronologically limited to a review, from 2007 until today, focused on the countries that have promoted the development and implementation of this new paradigm, using databases such as IEEE Xplore, Google Scholar, as well as documents from standardization organizations such as ONF and ITU.

The society demands nowadays that the educational models of the institutions at the university level focus in an integral formation developing knowledge, skills and competences. Nevertheless, the systems of evaluation are not necessarily according to the requirements and methods of teaching and learning in the classroom. This investigation describes the effect of implementing a checklist as a medium so that the student acquires knowledge and gives feedback on the process of teaching and learning, promoting the integral formation. The checklist was designed under the socioformative approach and was used as a mean for the formative evaluation and shared during a course of differential and integral calculus. The qualitative investigation of analytical and descriptive type was based on the action-investigation, with students of the Career of Engineering on Communications and Electronics of Instituto Politécnico Nacional. Among the obtained results, it turns out that the students had a better academic performance and a change of attitude towards the learning of the mathematics in engineering, because they can take the control and the regulation of it. Concluding, we can say that the instruments of evaluation constructed under the socioformative approach promote the formative and participative evaluation and are a good way to improve the academic performance of the student and to develop competences like the collaborative work, the resolution of problems and the autonomy in the learning. It becomes necessary to continue the research regarding the design of instruments of formative evaluation as a didactic medium and the roles that the teachers and students must follow in order to promote an integral formation from the socioformative approach.

This study aimed to examine the institutional and organizational characteristics of Mexican state public universities’ outreach with the surrounding area, by identifying and comparing best practices to design a new model for collaboration with the environment. The central question was: “What are the regulatory foundations for the planning and educational philosophies that underpin the outreach approaches of public universities in Mexico?” In methodological terms, this research was of a qualitative nature, and used institutional documents as its main data. It was a documentary review of regulations, planning documents, educational models, and organizational structure of the nine universities considered. Qualitative evidence was collected through deductive content analysis, on the basis of preconceived theoretical and conceptual precepts that guide the search for and analysis of documentary information. One key finding was that the regulations of the institutions examined did acknowledge the importance of strengthening ties between the university and the regional surroundings but were ambiguous in their definition of collaborative activities. In most universities, outreach was seen as a support for teaching and research, and its importance was not acknowledged. This is why it is necessary for universities to make promoting economic and social development a substantive function, to be reflected in specific regulations for outreach. Similarly, greater visibility is needed in organizational structures to position outreach within universities’ roles and activities. Keywords: collaboration, deductive content analysis, documentary review, regional impact.

Teaching, learning and supervision (TLS) faces daunting challenges when University students, especially at Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) have to be at home or in their respective localities to succeed in lectures, tutorials and supervision sessions compared to before the covid-19 pandemic era. A quantitative study involving 285 students consisting of 53 students and 232 female students at the Tun Pengiran Ahmad Raffae Residential College (TPARRC) was conducted through the distribution of questionnaires by Google form link based on a database of 3600 residents among undergraduate students in Tun Pengiran Ahmad Raffae Residential College to ensure that a student can complete his studies perfectly. The data of this study prompted researchers to recommend a new definition for the term "digital poverty" which is not limited to the ownership of gadgets alone but also time, space and moral support for  students to participate optimally in study planning provided by the University through their lecturers. -each. A suitable study space where students are actively and consistently involved in (TLS) also requires the cooperation of family members as part of a conducive environment to support the need for the success of (TLS). The study also brings a new paradigm shift from the understanding that "digital poverty" only applies to the definition of the absence of gadgets and quality of internet access among users to a new definition of lack of material, internet network signal accessibility and availability of suitable venues for (TLS) sessions. The redefinition of “digital poverty” in the context of Malaysia in general and Sabah in particular brings with it a new perspective on the role of human beings and digital technology as interconnected with each other.

One of the most pressing problems in modern conditions for the state is forecasting scientific and technological development with the definition of promising strategic directions and innovative technologies. Such forecasting or scientific foresight is necessary for the successful political, economic and social development of the state. Foresight technology is a tool in choosing long-term priorities for the country’s development, which will help determine strategic research directions and new technologies that contribute to the greatest socio-economic effect and the integration of education, science, and production. The article describes the approach developed by the authors, which is to recognize the priority of the development of regional science, which makes it possible to use the potential of university and industry science directly at the locations of production structures. In this regard, the authors substantiate the need to form a mechanism for interaction between higher education and business, which is based on the “triple helix” model, modified taking into account the specifics of mono-industrial regions. With the help of the mechanism proposed by the authors, based on the adapted model of the “triple helix”, in which the university plays a system-forming role, the problems of single-industry towns can be solved. Itmotivateslocal businesses to create and implement innovative projects using the scientific potential of the regional university.

The present article aims to identify the ideological component of the man of culture spiritualized image, deprived of any dubious biological load, taking into account such concepts as «man of culture», «spirituality», «worldview, image», «man of culture image». A special attention is paid to giving a general definition of man of culture spiritualized image. Using the term «man of culture spiritualized image», the author speaks of the man of culture as of a generalized type of the carrier of culture. Society desires this type of man, who transmits the best examples of it, serves it by his activity, and preserves it. By doing this, he makes all this real according to the principles of humanism and tolerance towards other cultures. Then, it is necessary to speak not only about the upbringing of man of culture, as a person who creates culture, who is its carrier, transmitter and custodian, that is, a person whose foundation is culture-genic creativity, but also about creating conditions for the transition of human culture formed in the semiosphere into a higher, ethical sphere. In this sphere, by adjusting to the ethical ideal, he can acquire a worldview through which he will be able to translate information from the semiotic form (the form of meanings) into the form of knowledge. In order to move to the level of the ethical sphere, it is required to be tuned for the perception of the ideal (creative). By doing this, the transition from the worldview to the outlook occurs – that is, from the adoption of information on the basis of biological, mechanical-cognitive and automatically-semiotic perception of signals to the analysis of this information in the context of the ethical ideal. It is in this way that the man of culture can acquire his spiritual image. Prospects for further research consist in the application of the obtained results to the development of a topic related to the consideration of «man of culture spiritualized image» concept in the context of the educational process at a university level.
