Construction companies are increasingly concerned with new strategic guidelines and ways of managing project budgets to improve their competitiveness and sustainability. Thus, with this work, the authors analyse the relationship of the uncertainty of the organizational environment with other constructs, as causes of unfavorable budgetary deviations in the projects of Portuguese construction companies. For its development, quantitative research methods and techniques were adopted. The results presented in the study show a high correlation between the five first-order constructs (internal environment, external environment, time/delay, project process/monitoring, and project financing) justified by the literature review and justify the perception regarding the uncertainty in the organizational environment and other constructs as factors that determine the causes of unfavorable budgetary deviations in construction companies' projects. It should be noted that the objectives outlined for this study were achieved by providing complementary knowledge in this area of research.

Various studies have been conducted among different countries to determine the relationship of ICT on productivity and employment, but the results vary among industries and firms. This research aims to examine the impact of ICT on the service sector productivity and employment in the Philippines through quantitative research methods. Findings on the relationship between ICT and Productivity show that all the independent variables have a linear relationship on the dependent variable while the findings on the relationship of ICT and Employment, only Labor Force Participation Rate shows a nonlinear relationship to the dependent variable. The researchers ought to impart knowledge about the opportunities and threats brought by ICT, which may guide the policymakers who formulate policies regarding the advancements brought by ICT.

Palavras-chave: Fotoproteção, Câncer de pele, Exposição solar, Radiação ultravioleta, Vitamina D. ABSTRACTThe incidence of skin cancer is increasing every year. It is known that among other factors, solar radiation is the main responsible for the development of this pathology. Prevention, made by photoprotection, would have great impact in this scenario. However, the guidelines on how to protect themselves from the sun's harmful effects should be consistent with the sunlight of the region, the habits of the population and the phototype skin. The concepts of photoprotection were defined by European and North American entities and should not be played for Brazil at random, as the solar incidence in Brazil is much higher, people have different skin types and the habit of sun exposure is much more frequent. Therefore, it is necessary to draw up own concepts for Brazil and raise awareness about the dangers of solar radiation, so that the incidence of skin cancer can be definitely reduced. This review aims to show the relationship of solar radiation in Brazil with the skin of Brazilian and to highlight the importance of sun protection for this population. With this purpose, it was  made a survey of original articles, literature reviews , Brazilian and international consensus and dermatology books. Keywords: Photoprotection, Skin cancer, Sun exposure, Ultraviolet radiation, D vitamin.

BACKGROUND Telemedicine is a system using telecommunication technologies to diagnose, treat, and monitor patients by healthcare physicians and specialists in many developing countries such as Kuwait. Telemedicine services have proven to be successful in reporting and tracking patient records, delivering, real time monitoring, providing correct medications, and early detection of clinical decline. Covid-19 pandemic period have reinforced telemedicine system’s benefits even more in Kuwait. OBJECTIVE The objective of this study is to investigate factors influencing patients’ continuance intention to use telemedicine after the COVID-19 pandemic in the medical sector of Kuwait. METHODS The updated Delone and Maclean (2003) model was utilized to investigate the aforementioned factors. As such, this research applied quantitative research methods with a sample of 290 participants from patients in Dar Al Shifa Hospital, a private hospital in Kuwait which utilizes telemedical services called ‘Sehaty online’. The corresponding data was analyzed using SmartPLS. RESULTS The findings of this study revealed that the relationship of both telemedicine’s information quality and system quality with patient’s satisfaction are significant with (β = 0.377, t = 5.612, P < 0.001), (β = 0.295, t = 4.397, P < 0.001) respectively. While the relationship of service quality and patient’s satisfaction is not significant with (β = -0.056, t = 0.894, P > 0.05). patient’s satisfaction relationship with patients’ continuance intention to use telemedicine found to be significant with (β = 0.403, t = 8.732, P < 0.001). CONCLUSIONS It has been concluded that information quality and system quality have a positive and significant influence on patient’s satisfaction, whereas service quality has an insignificant influence on patient’s satisfaction. Also, patients’ continuance intention to use telemedicine is found to be significantly impacted by their satisfaction.

Only a few birds besides domestic pigeons and poultry can be described as domesticated. Therefore, keeping a pet bird can be challenging, and the human-avian relationship will have a major influence on the quality of this cohabitation. Studies that focus on characterizing the owner-bird relationship generally use adapted cat/dog scales which may not identify its specific features. Following a sociological approach, a concept of human-animal relationship was developed leading to three types of human-animal relationship (impersonal, personal, and close personal). This concept was used to develop a 21-item owner-bird-relationship scale (OBRS). This scale was applied to measure the relationship between pet bird owners (or keepers) (n = 1,444) and their birds in an online survey performed in Germany. Factor analysis revealed that the relationship between owner and bird consisted of four dimensions: the tendency of the owner to anthropomorphize the bird; the social support the bird provides for the owner; the empathy, attentiveness, and respect of the owner toward the bird; and the relationship of the bird toward the owner. More than one quarter of the German bird owners of this sample showed an impersonal, half a personal, and less than a quarter a close personal relationship to their bird. The relationship varied with the socio-demographic characteristics of the owners, such as gender, marital status, and education. This scale supports more comprehensive quantitative research into the human-bird relationship in the broad field of human-animal studies including the psychology and sociology of animals as well as animal welfare and veterinary medicine.

The study included 256 patients with clinic symptoms of probable idiopathic infl ammatory demyelinating disease, including rare and atypical forms of demyelination. As a result of the study the sensitivity and specifi city of the determination of oligoclonal immunoglobulin G in the population of Rostov-on-Don was described for the fi rst time, including dependence of the duration of the disease. The relationship of clinical and MRI features of the fi rst attack of the disease with the probability of determining oligoclonal IgG in the cerebrospinal fl uid is refl ected
