The issue of disability is one of the most important social issues in all human societies. Disability has become particularly important as a result of the statistics done by many international organizations and bodies. These statistics have strikingly confirmed high rates of disabilities. It is worth noting that these high rates of disability are viewed as a real waste of human resources in the human society, where human resources are one of the most important elements of its development. Every child who is born in a family and diagnosed as a disabled child with one of the motor, mental, sensory or social disabilities makes changes in the social environment where he or she lives. The change starts in concepts and determinants of family members' understanding of the new situation.

Transitivity is one of the most important mechanisms to form a social network in a human society, but it remains unclear how such behavior is quantified and affected by some key factors, including the social environment and the participants' characters. This study investigates the sharing behavior based on the notion of transitivity and an experiment is conducted on a variety of populations from kindergarteners to teenagers. The key effects that have high impacts to the sharing behavior are identified from the statistical analysis of the experimental results. A mathematical model is built for the experimental results and its performance compared with other models is also illustrated.

The problem of interpreting the emerging terms of the digital economy is discussed. Examples demonstrating different understanding of the term “digital economy” by economists and information technology experts are given. We consider the basis of the digital economy - the cyberspace, as an environment of people’s activity in which any interactions are carried out due to digital data. The complexity of organizing cyberspace requires approaching the definition of the concept of the digital economy in terms of functional and structural descriptions. The functional approach has made it possible to identify three key attributes that reveal the essence of the digital economy: digital data, digital infrastructure, models of people’s activities. The activity is carried out through human interaction with natural objects through the "intermediary" - digital data. Changes in activities caused by the work with digital data, have come to be called transformation, its modern examples being medicine and transport. The examples show that the models of the digital economy involve a partial or complete rejection of human labor. The official government documents of the Russian Federation follow the functional approach to describing the concept of the digital economy: the program “Digital Economy of the Russian Federation”, decree of the President of the Russian Federation “On the Strategy for the Development of the Information Society in the Russian Federation for 2017-2030”. The structural description has made it possible to single out three echelons of managing the digital economy: the technological environment, the social environment, markets and industries. Each echelon has the right to make decisions within its competencies. The purpose of the technological echelon is the technical support of the digital economy, including information systems and information technology. At the level of the social environment of the digital economy, the following ones are formed: the legal regime for the development and use of digital technologies, the education and training system of the digital economy, the infrastructure of the digital economy, information security technologies for digital processes, and many others. At the level of markets and industries, spheres of activity of the digital economy are implemented. The structural approach has allowed us to propose an architectural model of the digital economy. The model is a stratified description, characterized by vertical decomposition, the sequence of digital data processing operations on each stratum, and the interconnection of performance indicators of all strata for a comprehensive assessment of the activity process as a whole.

ABSTRACTThe Support Nucleus for Family Health (SNFH), established in 2008 is a strategic tool to support and expansion of the Family Health Strategy and consequently the Primary Health Atention or Primary Attention. It is known that is in the PHA universe that happen all possible situations that focus on health / disease processes. It is in this life and in space every day, in different communities, and expressing in the form of symptoms, pain, complaints, pain, or regrets the most diverse that materialize the most dramatic and rich expressions of social issues that are designed and understood as health requirements. This article comes to studies and research on SNFH and its importance as a device in the current configuration of health policy and as a research subject for a group of researchers linked to a post-graduate program in Social Work at the Catholic University / PUCRS . The team of this article, for more than a decade, centers his research on health policy, particularly in the intersectionality between social policies and, more recently, the SNFH. Thicken the studies on this topic is both ethical responsibility for the qualification of a social policy of universal character as to qualify the occupational space, where the social worker has done his professional practice. Therefore, studies on the SNFH can also be studies on the profession, work process and the responsibilities of professional social workers in practices that are in line with the Brazilian Health Policy and the information of the Political Ethics Project of Social Work. This paper reflects on the relationship between the Support Nucleus for Family Health and Social Work and alert to the risk of establishing a mimetic relationship between SNFH & Social Work, with diffuse boundaries, dilution goals and roles, and the indication of the research as a way to build knowledge and qualify this relationship. It is reiterated that the research conducted by the social worker has to be in line with the Professional Project with the principles of the Brazilian Health System and the Health Reform, as well as the inclusion of this person in SNFH.RESUMOO Núcleo de Apoio à Saúde da Família (NASF), criado em 2008 é um dispositivo estratégico para apoiar a expansão da Estratégia Saúde da Família (ESF) e, consequentemente a Atenção Primária à Saúde (APS) ou Atenção Básica (AB).

AbstractBackground and aimsSocial factors and social environment shape the pain behavior of patients. Social workers support pain treatment in a multidisciplinary pain clinic by altering the social environment of a patient. Even though a social worker in a multi-professional care team contributes to the care of select, severely pain-afflicted patients extensively, neither the patient socio-demographic status nor interventions by social workers have been systematically documented. Only individual case histories have been published. Developing social work activities, which have potential financial consequences, for example, requires charting the current situation prior to systematic research into the efficacy of individual social work interventions.MethodsThis study systematically details the performance and work volume of the social worker, as well as the socio-demographics of patients during a 16-month period in a multidisciplinary pain clinic of a university hospital.ResultsFifty-five patients were included. Twenty-nine were women and 26 men. They were about 10% of all patients seen at the pain clinic during the same time. Most of the patients were at their middle age. The largest group of subjects worked in public or other services. The second largest group consisted of those working in stores, hotels and restaurants. Over half of the subjects worked in the service industry. Since the subjects had scant vocational education, they worked mainly in manual labor. Most of the patients had problems with making a living, signifying that a major number of the patients visited the social worker because of financial problems. About half of the patients were indebt and three were undergoing debt counseling. Of homeowners, 21% were indebt, while the portion of those living rented accommodation was almost two thirds. All patients seen by the social worker received some form of public assistance. Over half of the patients had participated in rehabilitation assessment. The social worker saw 39 patients once, one patient twice and 15 patients three or more times. The duration of a visit was typically 1–2 h. The issues of a patient are addressed by contacting authorities and negotiating with other health care staff. According to the used ‘SOSU’ classification data, the social situation was charted for 49 patients, while the benefits and assistance provided by the Social Insurance Institution of Finland was discussed with half of the patients. The social worker discussed employment based pension with about a third of the patients. Social assistance, the last-resort economic assistance under social welfare, was considered with one fifth of the patients. Psychosocial work was recorded for 19 patients, comprising longer-term, supportive discussion.ConclusionsThe majority of the patients is of active working age but their working capacity is often decreased. However, they have difficulties in getting compensation for reduced ability to making a living. Hence, they have economic difficulties of various types and need counselling and support. The main duty of the social worker appeared to be advising the patient in using the social welfare system, as the clients turned out to constitute a marginalized group.

This article introduces an approach within social work called green social. It is argued that this approach has a critical potential in its ability to respond to urgent issues concerning people’s current and future living conditions. It is further argued that in addition to its traditional involvement in problematic distribution of resources, social work can act upon linkages between social issues and issues concerning environmental and climate crisis when integrating areas of knowledge from other disciplines. Such linkages imply a revision of the construct ”person-in-environment” that traditionally denote a delimited notion of environment as the ”social environment”, thereby disregarding the biophysical environment that human beings are a part of. The article discusses concepts such as ”sustainable welfare”, ”de-growth” and ”transition” and presents examples of so-called ecosocial interventions while also making an argument for strengthening community work in Sweden.

Abstract In this article are presented situations in which the feeling of dignity of a person is lost or decreases and cannot be restored without professional intervention. This loss is one of the reasons of social exclusion in communities. A person with social issues has no abilities to emphasize her/his own uniqueness and authenticity, s/he stops to progress physically, intellectually and spiritually. In this way these persons enter the field of social worker’s help. In this field of help, one of the main factors in the restoration of human dignity is the social worker her/himself: her/his personality can have a huge influence on his client. The main research question in this study is the following: How should a social worker construct the helping process to help the client to restore her/his human dignity? Research object was the social worker’s help in the process of the restoration of human dignity. Research aim was to reveal the elements of the social worker’s support process that help to restore human dignity. Analysis of the reseach-based conceptual literature was the core method to explore and reveal the answers to research questions. The findings of the analysis highlighted that in situations, when people loose their feeling of dignity within social exclusion then they experience the self-deprecating. In the process of social help a main role is played by social worker’s professional communication with the client: the social worker stimulates the maintenance and restoration of client’s dignity by applying the principle of acting together. This principle is based on moral values, reciprocal responsibility, mutual respect, sincerity, confidentiality and empathy. These components create a trustful environment where, by sustaining client’s free choice and a right of decision, the possibility to achieve client’s openness emerges.

The supply chain manager is concerned with not only managing the flow of materials and resources, he or she is also concerned with managing the human resources through which control of materials is achieved. In this chapter I will investigate the problems associated with staffing the positions or roles that have been defined in the structure. I shall consider aspects of recruitment and training and the preparation of job descriptions and operating manuals. People are probably the most important asset in any supply chain. In addition to these elements of the staffing problem, I shall also focus attention on a closely related managerial requirement. This concerns techniques of directing and motivating the staff to achieve departmental and corporate objectives and to provide opportunities for members of the logistics function to satisfy their own individual goals at the same time. This topic is a controversial one and in the social environment of today, traditional views have come under severe attack. I shall consider these opposing views in the context of supply chain management.
