This research is motivated by teacher discipline problem that is: some teachers are less timely present in school and enter class, teacher leave class while lesson still ongoing teacher just give task record and problem to student so that student is outside class and outside school during class time take place. The purpose of this research is to know the role of principal in developing civic responsibility attitude toward teacher discipline (Descriptive Study at SMA Negeri 1 Padarincang Class XI IPS1) and to know principal technique in developing civic responsibility attitude to monitor teacher discipline (Descriptive Study at SMA Negeri 1 Padarincang Kelas XI IPS1). The method of this research is descriptive with the depiction in fact, the data in the form of language expression and discourse is appropriate and systematic, qualitative research is a research used to examine the condition of the object that Scientific, where Researcher is as a key instrument. The results of this study indicate the role and responsibilities of principals to support teachers in improving teacher competence, supervision techniques performed by the principal is good at providing examples of discipline against teachers. The conclusion of this research the principal reminded teachers of every ceremony on Monday and meetings to salary and idolize the first day of each week, the principal conducts X-XII class visits, checks the teacher's teaching program such as syllabus, RPP, checks the X-XII class agenda and fix the layout of the room in the school. Suggestions in this study teachers are expected to be on time attend school and enter the classroom, the teacher does not leave the class during the lesson so that students are not outside the classroom or outside the school.

This type of research is a type of qualitative research. This research was conducted at SD N Suryodiningrata 1 Yogyakarta. The subjects in this study were to schools, class teachers, and students. Data collection techniques use observation, interview, and observation techniques. Based on the results of the study show that the forms of student bullying behavior that occur are that students make fun of and mock friends, find out friends and ask for pocket money to their friends. The way the class teacher handles student bullying behavior is by conducting classical and individual guidance. The role of the class in addressing the behavior of bullying students, be a mediator when the bullying occurred in class, and give advice as well as motivations to students.

This study aims to determine how the role of principal In Improving Teacher Quality in Private MTs Nurul Falah Talok Kresek Tangerang District. This research is qualitative with Field Research approach (Field Research). In this research, it is found that the head of madrasah in improving the quality of teachers in private MTs Nurul Falah Talok Kresek Tangerang Regency can be achieved. Achievement and success are based on a number of findings in the research that took place, namely 1). The Head of Madrasah has empowered the effort to improve the quality of teachers by covering various practical and logical work such as teacher competence test, guidance of teaching program and improvement of teacher professionalism, Increase of income and teacher welfare. 2). Madrasah principals undertake various development and fulfillment efforts related to infrastructure and madrasah infrastructure facilities. Another result of this research is that the success of the madrasah head that can support the process of teacher quality improvement can occur due to several factors, among others 1). Madrasah principal can play an important role as a leader with its central power to always move the artery of madrasah life, 2). The head of Madrasah is also able to understand SOP, their duties and functions for the success of madrasah accompanied by a strong attitude towards the subordinates who lead in this case the teacher in his madrasah. The background of this research stems from the interest of researchers about the importance of the role of principal leadership in strengthening character education. This study aims to determine the type, role, and implementation of the character education strengthening program at SMAN 1 Yogyakarta. This research is a qualitative research taking place at SMAN 1 Yogyakarta. Methods of data collection are done by means of observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques by transcript, coding, comparing and contrasting. Checking the validity of the data by means of triangulation of sources, triangulation of techniques, and triangulation of time. The results showed that: (1) the type of leadership applied by the principal is a type of democratic leadership where the principal always provides encouragement, motivation and innovation for teachers, employees and students to continue to excel and continue working. (2) The implementation of the character education strengthening program using the habituation and culture methods of 5S (Greetings, Smiles, Greetings, Polite, and Polite) character education strengthening programs are supported by school members so that the program has been implemented optimally. (3) the principal acts as an educator, manager, administrator, supervisor, leader, innovator and as a motivator.

This paper is the result of a descriptive qualitative research that aims to find out about the interests and talents of students in elementary schools. The results of this study indicate that interests and talents refer to the results of students' understanding. The strategy applied by classroom teachers is to provide material interests and talents into learning materials, choose the right methods and media, remedial, build communication, set an example, give appreciation and knowledge, identify and choose assistance programs. Class teacher competence still needs to be improved so that students' interests and talents in learning can be better than before.

Entreprenuerial learning in secondary vocational school aims to produce graduates to overcome the problem of unemployment. This study aimed to identify formation of attitudes and awareness of entrepreneurship towards vocational students after obtaining entrepreneurial training. The effect of entrepreneurial training is measured from the activities of teaching in class, mastery of entrepreneurship, atmosphere / climate of learning, the interest of students on entrepreneurship, and attitudes of students postining. Research with quantitative approach was carried out to 95 student of grade 3 SMK 1 Ternate with background in accounting, office administration marketing, tourism businesses and information technology. Data and information actual through questionnaire prepared in accordance with the variables to be measured. Results showed that a significant contribution of teaching entrepreneurship on the formation of entrepreneurial attitude. This means the higher the level of mastery learning and the better the quality of the learning entrepreneurship atmosphere the greather implications for the change of entrepreneurial attitude. It is recommended that managers SMK supports the effort to create entrepreneurial attitudes through increased teacher competence in the area of entrepreneurship, and empowerment of the role of principal as motivator entrepreneurial behavior in school.

In education the various problems faced by teachers is still often the case, came successive as the development of the times. Ranging from lack of mastery of the material in the learning process, a lack of understanding on curriculum applied, stuttering in operating technology, often active on social media with things which are not educating which led to the loss of authority as a teacher and others. This paper uses qualitative research methods. Reasons to use qualitative research methods because the author wanted to describe the naturally muswarah on the role of teachers of subjects in improving teacher competence. Conclusion in this paper, the role MGMP in improving teacher competence Education of Islam among them as a forum, a. teacher competency through increased competence of pedagogic, social competence, personality, competencies, competency and professional, b. intellectual capacity building of teachers, c. as a discussion forum to find solutions in the face of challenges in the process of learning, d. increased sustainable profession forum.

Teaching novice qualitative researchers how to move beyond first-cycle themes is a challenging endeavor. In this essay, we articulate four harmful habits that tend to impede our success: moving too quickly, privileging product over process, providing cursory coverage of analytic technique and artistry, and overlooking the role of synthesis in qualitative research. As a step toward replacing harmful habits with more healthy ones, we offer a number of practical suggestions for reimagining the qualitative research methods curriculum.

Timorese culture is patriarchal in that men are more dominant than women. As if women were not considered in traditional rituals so that an understanding was built that valued women lower than men. However, in contrast to the article to be studied, this would like to see the priority of women’s roles in traditional marriages in Belle village, South Central Timor. The role of women wiil be seen from giving awards to their parents called puah mnasi manu mnasi. This paper aims to look at the meaning of the rituals of puah mnasi maun mnasi and the role and strengths that women have in traditional marriage rituals in the village of Belle, South Central Timor. The method used for this research is a qualitative research method using interview techniques with a number of people in the Belle Villa community and literature study to strengthen this writing. Based on the data obtained this paper shows that the adat rituals of puah mnasi manu mnasi provide a value that can be learned, namely respect for women, togetherness between the two families, and brotherhood that is intertwined due to customary marital affrairs.

The objectives of this qualitative research were (1) to identify the factors that affect the Minangkabau language (ML) maintenance in Medan, (2) to discover the parents’ efforts in maintaining ML in Medan and (3) to find out the reason why the speakers have to maintain ML. The souree of data is the nembers of the Association of Sei Jaring Community (Ikatan Warga Sei Jaring: IWS) in Medan. The sample was 10 families including 10 parents and their children. The instruments of this study are a questionnaire and an interview. The questionnaire was used to answer the factors affected the maintenance of ML and how factors affected the maintenance of ML. The interview was used to discover the influence why Minangkabau’s people have to maintain ML. There are four factors in ML maintenance, the parents’ role, the role of family, the intramarriage and homeland visits. After distributing questionnaire and did some interviews it is found that IWS especially for the third generation (children) has the danger level in ML when they communicate to each other. Meanwhile, the data analysis also shows that both fathers and mothers communicate to each other with ML. This condition occurred because of the influence of the environment. Parents have to keep communication and teaching Minangkabau language continuously to their children. so, the young generation can keep the existence of ML for their future. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fenomena minat baca siswa dan pengaruh minat baca terhadap pertumbuhan kemampuan belajar siswa pada jenjang-jenjang pendidikan selanjutnya. Kepala sekolah sebagai lokomotif perkembangan mutu pendidikan memiliki peran strategi bagi pengumbuhan dan pengembangan minat baca peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran kepala madrasah sebagai edukator, manajer, dan innovator dalam pengembangan minat baca peserta didik di MIT Nurul Islam Kota Semarang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif lapangan, data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi dan triangulasi, serta dianalisis dengan teknik analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Peran kepala madrasah sebagai edukator dalam pengembangan minat baca peserta didik meliputi meliputi tiga pembinaan, yakni pembinaan mental dan moral, serta pembinaan artistik. 2) Peran kepala madrasah sebagai manajer dalam pengembangan minat baca peserta didik di MIT Nurul Islam meliputi penerapan fungsi-fungsi manajemen dengan didasarkan pada pada kerjasama dengan USAID dan UIN Walisongo Semarang. 3) Peran kepala madrasah sebagai innovator dalam pengembangan minat baca peserta didik di MIT Nurul Islam Kota Semarang meliputi inovasi strategi, pola pikir (mindset) dan struktur. Abstract This research is motivated by the phenomenon of reading interest of students and the influence of reading interest on the growth of students' learning ability in the next level of education. The principal as a locomotive of the development of the quality of education has a strategic role for the growth and development of reading interest of learners. This study aims to determine the role of principal as an educator, manager, and innovator in the development of reading interest of learners in MIT Nurul Islam Semarang City. This research is a qualitative field research, data collected through observation, interview, documentation and triangulation, and analyzed by descriptive analysis technique. The results of this study indicate that: 1) The role of principal as an educator in the development of reading interest of learners includes three activities are coaching, namely mental and moral coaching, and artistic coaching. 2) The role of principal as manager in the development of reading interest of learners at MIT Nurul Islam covers the application of management functions based on cooperation with USAID and UIN Walisongo Semarang. 3) The role of principal as innovator in the development of reading interest of learners at MIT Nurul Islam Semarang City includes innovation strategy, mindset, and structure.
