In recent years, in our country, much attention has been paid to improving the quality of education, improving the material and technical base of educational institutions, creating textbooks and teaching aids of a new generation, incorporating the latest achievements of modern science and technology and advanced world experience. This article is devoted to the improvement of a new generation of textbooks on distance learning of German as a second foreign language, methods of learning German and related literature, and their meaning.

The global spread of coronavirus infection has paralysed the work of many areas of economic, business, and, of course, educational activities of almost all countries on the planet. Unfortunately, Ukraine is no exception and a quarantine regime has been introduced in this country. The way out of the current situation in education in Ukraine was the introduction of distance learning in all educational institutions, which created new challenges for both teachers and students. The purpose of the paper was to study information technologies, tools and methods of learning that can be used for distance learning in educational institutions under quarantine. As a result, authors analysed world practices in ensuring the educational process within the framework of distance learning. The advantages and disadvantages of distance learning technologies for both higher education institutions and higher education seekers were identified.

The article presents the organizational and methodological features of distance learning technologies in the aspect of methodological cooperation of higher educational institutions of Ukraine in order to ensure academic mobility of higher education applicants. The features of distance learning, successfully implemented at the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas (IFNTUNG), in particular, through the organization of continuing education courses for scientific and pedagogical workers, are disclosed. The implementation of virtual devices used in laboratory studies for modeling and research of electronic components and devices as part of information-measuring systems for students of various specialties is considered. Substantiation is given of the possibility of joint educational activities of educational institutions of Ukraine using remote learning technologies to prepare and form a specialist of a new generation who is ready to successfully compete in the labor market, as well as to improve the quality of education as the main factor of integration into the European educational space.

The article describes the modern approaches to the informatization of educational process in higher educational institutions of Ukraine. The relevance of introducing of and its regulatory framework are investigated and the views of scientists to the definitions of "distance learning" and "information-educational environment" are summarizes. The system of work with students using distance learning courses "Business Foreign Language" and "Modern children's literature English-speaking countries" is shown on the example of BorysGrinchenko Kyiv University (Kyiv, Ukraine). The results of investigation based on a survey of students at the beginning and end of the distance courses work demonstrated that the use of distance learning coursespromotes to the self-organization of the student, improving computer skills, facilitates the process of self-learning.

Distance education at lightning-fast speed has become the only possible form of education. Distance learning of a foreign language for students of higher educational institutions has a number of advantages due to the fact that we are talking about pedagogical interaction with the age group of psychologically mature individuals with relatively formed mechanisms of motivation and outlined personal and professional orientation. The purpose of the present research is a comprehensive analysis of the process and results of distance learning of a foreign language (English) for students of economic specialties. The research methods are as follows: the analysis of modern opportunities for organizing distance learning; study of theoretical and methodological papers on the subject matter; method of experimental teaching of foreign languages with an emphasis on tactics of stimulating the personal and motivational sphere of students’ educational activities; development of author’s diagnostic models in order to reveal the dynamics of development of knowledge and practical skills in a foreign language of students of economic profile; qualitative and quantitative analysis of empirical data; statistical and mathematical interpretation of results, their functional analysis; method of generalization and abstraction. According to the data obtained, the hypothesis of the research has been confirmed.

The principal is a leader in educational institutions that regulates and manages educational activities in schools. Therefore, school principals play an important role in improving the quality of education, especially improving teacher performance to be more enthusiastic and professional in teaching and developing themselves who are in charge of delivering lessons to students. This study aims to identify the role of principal supervision as an effort to improve teacher professionalism in teaching at SMA Negeri 10 OKU.This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 10 OKU. The research was carried out for 3 (three) months, starting from September 2020 to November 2020. The research method used was a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques used include: (1) Interview or Interview; (2) Observation; (3) Documentation. Based on the research results, it was concluded that the principal had a role in the supervision carried out as an effort to improve teacher professionalism in teaching. It is known: (1) The role of principal supervision is evidenced by the teacher in planning lesson plans which are made reported and approved by the principal and according to the curriculum; (2) The role of principal supervision is proven by the teacher in carrying out the learning process in accordance with the learning device guidelines and using teaching aids; (3) The role of principal supervision is evidenced by the teacher evaluating the learning outcomes and reporting to the principal; (4) The role of principal supervision is evidenced by the teacher following up on the learning outcomes in accordance with the direction of the principal; (5) The role of principal supervision is evidenced by the teacher providing guidance to students.

The Impact

Topicality of the study of the attitude to the distance learning format is due to the need to study the impact of such interaction in the “pedagogue-studentˮ system on the quality, motivation and overall satisfaction of students with the learning process. The study involved 120 people from 6 six higher education institutions in Moscow. The use of content analysis allowed us to identify 8 significant contexts (areas) around which the statements of the study participants are grouped: “Roadˮ, “Teachersˮ, “Returnˮ, “Distance learningˮ, “Full-time, full-time attendingˮ, “Training, training formatˮ, “Provided, changedˮ, “Qualityˮ. The results obtained indicate that the main disadvantages of the distance learning format, according to the respondents, are the lack of live communication with teachers, a decrease in the level of motivation and self-organisation, which ultimately has a negative impact on the psychoemotional state of students and the quality of material assimilation. At the same time, among the obvious advantages, there is a reduction in transport and time costs for the road to the place of study, as well as the opportunity to study the material at a convenient time. The results obtained can be used in the development of distance learning programmes for students of higher educational institutions of the Russian Federation.

The article deals with the issue of improving the quality of learning a foreign language, namely the analysis of some problems that arise when this subject is taught in distance learning mode. The article substantiates the relevance of the problem, especially in terms of rapid development of information technology over the last ten years; it also considers the situation that our country and educational system face as the result of the consequences of COVID-19 spread. Relevance. The article discusses the problems of the transition of universities to a distance learning format. The transfer of universities to a remote format due to the spread of the COVID-19 virus allowed students to continue to receive training, which varied significantly due to technologies, the choice of which was determined by the current capabilities of educational institutions. The article analyzes the result of a study of the attitude and assessment of teachers and students organizing and conducting training outside the educational institution with the use of distance technologies. The purpose of the study is to identify the features of teaching and learning in a distance format in higher education during the spread of a new coronavirus infection. The objectives of the study are to identify factors that have influenced the quality of the implementation of educational programs in full in the electronic information and educational environment. The results of the study. A serious influence of the distance learning format on the quality of the teacher-student interaction was revealed (it has significantly decreased), which is undoubtedly one of the factors that reduce studentsʼ motivation to learn. For many respondents, distance learning and teaching was the first experience of a distance learning format, and therefore the attitude towards it is rather complicated. A significant scatter in the format of the classes, their completeness and content within the framework of distance learning, the low proportion of the teaching staff prepared for its implementation, and the generally low level of technical, methodological and legal support show that the majority of Russian universities are not ready to introduce distance learning. The transition to an online training format caused the majority of respondents discomfort and negative emotional experiences.

The article deals with various organizational issues of distance learning in vocational education. The authors applied the theory of distance learning to vocational education in Russia. The research featured teachers of more than 40 educational institutions, who mentioned such problems as the lack of equipment, personal computers, software, and Internet access. Most respondents believed that the quality of vocational education deteriorated during distance learning mostly as a result of poor technical support. Another problem is the absence of personal contact between teaching staff and students. The authors analyzed the current situation and propose various means of improvement, e.g. asynchronous teaching methods.

The perception of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) students toward the significance of distance learning practice in EFL teaching at university is essential to provide suggestions for enhancing distance learning practice in the context of EFL teaching. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to investigate students’ perception towards distance learning practice at University of Muhammadiyah Gresik, especially in Words in Contexts class as the main course for learning vocabularies. Therefore, this study explored several aspects that needed in the implementation of distance learning practice. The subjects of this study were 34 first semester students of English education department who had applied distance learning practice. Questionnaire was used as research instrument to collect data from the respondents who had been selected. In addition, interview was also conducted to confirm the result of questionnaire. After the data were collected, they were analyzed using quantitative and qualitative analysis method. The finding indicated that students had average perception towards the implementation of distance learning practice, since distance learning practice provided advantages for their learning process. However, there were setbacks and problems such as students’ participation, internet connectivity, and material clarity that needed to be solved in order to improve the quality of distance learning practice.
