Aim: To know about the major familial and socio-cultural factors contributing to the rising trend of drugs and substance use in youth in twin cities i.e. Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Methods: The study was conducted in July-September 2021 in Twin Cities i.e. Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Data was collected from 150 young drug addicts (between the age group of 15 to 40 years). Snow ball and purposive sampling techniques were used to collect the data. A pre devised interview schedule having close and open ended questions was used. Frequency analysis method was used to represent the basic demographic data whereas a 4-points Likert Scale was used to know the extent of factors contributing to the rising trend of drug addiction in youth. Results: Results showed that slightly more than one third of the respondents (34%) were quite young (21-25 years). Peer group/ bad company was found responsible factor to great extent (71%), To increase sexual pleasure was also found responsible (45.8%), Lack of knowledge about harms of drugs was found responsible to great extent (49.3%). Another factor i.e. curiosity to use / taste drugs was also found responsible to great extent (77.3%). Conclusion: Problem of drug addiction in youth in Pakistan is rising at a worrying trend. Numerous familial as well socio-cultural factors in the etiology of drug abuse and addiction have been found responsible. The purpose of the study is to ascertain if school variable (peer group pressure) and home variables (family history of alcohol consumption, socio-economic status of the family, attitude of parent towards alcohol drinking and cultural norms/festivity) lead to alcohol consumption among adolescents and proffer solution to the social menace of alcohol consumption among secondary school children. The study was a descriptive research design with mixed methods of data collection involving questionnaire and interview schedule. A sample of 100 students out of a population of 130 students and 180 students each of the mid-class (SS 2 and JS 2) of the senior and basic secondary schools respectively were involved in the study. Four hypotheses were posited and tested using Chi-square and statistical decisions made. The instruments for the study were questionnaire and interview schedule with a reliability coefficient of 0.78 using Pearson Moment Correlation Coefficient. It was found that parents are the major source of alcohol supply for many young Nigerians and children are often first introduced to alcohol in the family - home. Parents who drink alcohol are more likely to exhibit permissiveness towards alcohol use in their adolescent children. Based on the findings from this study, it could be concluded that children aged 10-16 years in Yenagoa metropolis of Nigeria, indulged in alcohol consumption regularly and in high quantity which is not good for their health. It is necessary that parents should present themselves as suitable role models in – order to guide their children against anti-social behaviours.

The purpose of the study is to investigate reasons, types and workable for the disposal of wastes in Peshawar city with special emphasis on Municipal Corporation, Peshawar Development Authority (PDA) and local govt. The focus of the study is to ensure proper management of solid waste and cleanliness of the targeted areas. The data was collected through pre-designed questionnaire and interview schedule. The major sources of demographic data are census, sample surveys, demographic yearbook, statistical handbook, national and international publications. (Alam: 2006). Board, Karkhano and Hayat Abad Phase III were the targeted area of the study. A sample of size 300 was selected out of 37,839 population in three target areas i.e. Board 96 out of 12,164, Hayat Abad Phase III 121 out of 15,281, and Karkhano 83 out of 10,394 through proportion allocation method of sampling.The results of the study indicated that Local government has no proper planning, for the disposal of solid waste. The  residents  have no awareness for the proper disposal of the solid wastes.  Population is directly proportion to the increase in solid wastes mismanagement, more over Afghan Refugees has accelerated the solid waste mismanagement in the area.

This article examines the motivators of gender notions and satisfaction in ICT informal sector jobs among youths in Ile-Ife, Osun state. A cross-sectional research design was employed to collect data. A total of 168 questionnaires and 30 in-depth interviews were administered and conducted on young ICT entrepreneurs. Findings revealed that socio-cultural factors such as peer group, parental influence, and social responsibilities have positively motivated youths to engage in ICT informal sector jobs. It also revealed that men were more prominent in ICT informal jobs like repairs, sales of mobile phones and computers, and women engage in the sale of rechargeable cards. Lastly, the study found that income (β = 0.062, p = 0.003) positively influences satisfaction with ICT informal sector jobs. The study concluded that youths are socio-culturally motivated to engage in ICT informal sector jobs. However; there are gender occupational differences in ICT informal sector jobs.

The internet is one of the basic needs of everyone's life. The internet can be easily accessed anywhere with the uses of smartphones in which people can obtain any information and current news by the fingertip. Pornography is estimated to be one of the most frequent search topics on the Internet. This research is being conducted through a quantitative method which is a surveying method that uses a questionnaire that includes a profile of sexual behavior and using the Pornography Consumption Inventory (PCI) questionnaire. This questionnaire was distributed to 1340 respondent that come from the youth of man and woman between age 15 until 40 in Malaysia. The research use Z-test analysis method which is N=421 for male and N=919 for female. The outcome of this research that was being analysed using Z-test show a significant difference of mean score from four factors which are Sexual Curiosity (SC), Emotional Avoidance (EA), Excitement Seeking (ES), and Sexual Pleasure (SP) between gender. Based on the Ztest, the p-value of all factors is <0.0001 which is less than 0.05.

The family has a health duty whose purpose is to prevent the occurrence of health problems and care for sick family members. There are five health tasks that must be done by the family dengan well. The implementation of this family health task is inseparable from the cultural factors owned by the family, such as the Minangkabau tribe who adhere to the patrilineal system. This research aims to identify the implementation of family health tasks in the Minangkabau tribe in Nogo Rejo Village of Galang Subdistrict. Research design is descriptive. Sampling with purposive sampling technique. A sample of 46 people consisted of 28 male respondents and 18 female respondents. The study was conducted from May 17 to July 12, 2021. Data collection is done using a questionnaire of family health tasks that includes demographic data and family health tasks. Then the data obtained is processed using descriptive analysis to determine the distribution of frequencies and percentages. The results showed that almost two-thirds (2/3) of respondents carried out family health duties in the Minangkabau tribe with a good category (63.04%). The conclusion of this study shows that implementing family health duties in the Minangkabau tribe belongs to the category of good (63.04%).

The definition of substance abuse is the use of certain types of drugs such as alcohol, cannabis, hash, cocaine and others that have serious side effects and clinical complications. There is a significant difference between substance abuse and the term addiction. The significant difference between substance abuse and addiction is that drug addiction or substance addiction is classified as a chronic disease controlling the physical and mental ability of the individual to unpleasant force to use specific drugs such as cocaine or else. The literature has a positive correlation between the COVID-19 pandemic and illegal drug abuse in substance abuse or addiction. COVID-19 caused emotional emptiness for many people around the world, in addition to anxiety and depression. The particular group of people started addicting to specific drugs to induce temporary happiness due to the unpleasant events they had from the pandemic. This article aimed to review the challenges of substance abuse and drug abuse in the COVID-19 pandemic and the role of public health in addition to primary care facilities against this phenomenon. To our knowledge, this is the first review providing a complex review about this issue since the beginning of COVID-19.

Psychotic is a mental disorder that causes a person's inability to judge reality with his fantasies. The focus of the research is the factors causing the ex-psychotics at Pukesmas Licin. This research uses a descriptive analysis method with a qualitative approach. Methods of data collection by observation, interviews, and documentaries, then analyzed by interactive models. The results of the research, there is a new reality according to the version of the spikotic person, psychotic is divided into two, namely organic psychotic and functional psychotic. Ex-psychotic is a person who is declared to be recovered 70% medically with realistic testing. Ex-psychotic causes include biological factors, psychological factors, and socio-cultural factors.

Abstract, Research aim  to know  correlation of between  perception toward family harmony and peer group with juvenile delinquency. Subject research is student of first class SMK 45 in Surabaya as much 91 people. The scales used as the data collects instrument are juvenile delinquency scales, Family harmony perception scales, and peer group scales. Use Scale Likert model which consists of 5 alternative options, while the data analysis method used is regresi analysis.The hypothesis result show that there is relationship between family toward harmony and peer group with juvenile delinquency.Keywords: Perception toward family harmony, peer group, juvenile delinquency

The present study was an attempt to assess the relationship between Socio-demographic characteristics and family burden of the caregivers of patients with epilepsy. This study was conducted at the Ranchi Institute of Neuro-Psychiatry and Allied Sciences, Ranchi. It was a cross sectional study and purposive sampling was used. The present study was conducted among 60 caregivers of patients with epilepsy, those who were willing to participate and those who have satisfied with inclusion and exclusion criteria have been included in the study. The socio demographic data sheet had been used for collecting socio demographic details and family burden interview schedule were applied on the caregivers of patients with epilepsy. The data obtained was analyzed statistically. The current study result found that patient education significantly negatively correlated with financial burden. And patient occupation negatively correlated with disruption of family interaction. Regarding the correlation of caregivers of patient with epilepsy the study shows that education of caregivers of patient with epilepsy negatively correlated with disruption of routine family activities and disruption of family leisure. And also occupation of caregivers of patient with epilepsy negatively correlated with disruption of family leisure and effect on physical health of others. The study highlights the need for family interventional programs to address the specific issues related to family burden of caregivers of patients with epilepsy.
