The text raises the question of the significance of literary manifestations for literary reality. The thesis is that the significance of a specific literary manifestation in this digital age is not predominantly conditioned by its format and how conventional or modern it is, but by whether its mission is primarily based on aesthetic and literary criteria and consequently, by its content – how much new impulses it gives to the literary life. As a confirmation of this perception, the text highlights the international poetic and cultural manifestation “Ante Popovski – Ante’s Quill”, which has been part of the Macedonian literary reality for four years. Although it is quite new, with an aspiration to become traditional manifestation, and although it is organized in a conventional format and program, without pretentious efforts for non-standard program contents, it is already recognizable on the Macedonian cultural map, as an event that simultaneously seeks to invest in the valorization and affirmation of the lasting values of the Macedonian culture, to promote the Macedonian literary production, to enable less affirmed authors to emerge from the shadows of living literary monuments and to encourage literary science. Moreover, the text analyzes and valorizes the achievements of this year’s edition of the manifestation. Particular emphasis is placed on the international scientific symposium which posed key and hitherto unactualized questions about the creative work of one of the greatest Macedonian authors of the 20th century – Ante Popovski. At the same time, the concept of the manifestation is analyzed, which is constantly evolving, enabling it to be an event that leaves a mark and can lead to happenings that will one day have to be written down in literary history.

The article presents a research of the peculiarities of the psychological adaptation of foreign students to the language and national environment in the process of comprehensive study of peculiar topics of linguistics and the history of its formation. The research was conducted on the basis of the use of a comprehensive experimental training program for learning Ukrainian as a foreign language and the history of Ukraine in one academic group of foreign students (12 people). Another group of students studied according to the standard program. The research objective is to demonstrate the positive dynamics of psychological adaptation of students from different countries to the language and national environment in the process of learning Ukrainian as a foreign language and particular aspects of its formation, namely the influence of Poland on the Ukrainian literary language in Western Ukraine in the 20s and 40s of the 20th Century. The urgency of studying this historical period is that the new edition of the “Ukrainian orthography” of 2019 partially intensifies the use of lexical tokens borrowed from the Polish language and orthographic norms of the “Orthography” of 1928. The research results showed that the average score of the final testing of students who studied through the experimental program is 3 points higher than that of students who studied through the standard program. In addition, students of the first group have much higher results from diagnosing the psychological characteristics of adaptation to the national environment. By studying the language and history of Ukraine, foreign students not only much better mastered language phenomena and understood their origins, but also learned about the complex past of our country. The conclusions of the experiment show that the proposed methodology proved itself to be a tool of improving the psychological adaptation of foreign students to the language and national environment of the country in which they receive professional education.

Existing dynamic epistemic logics combine standard epistemic logic with a restricted version of dynamic logic. Instead, we here combine a restricted epistemic logic with a rich version of dynamic logic. The epistemic logic is based on `knowing-whether' operators and basically disallows disjunctions and conjunctions in their scope; it moreover captures `knowing-what'. The dynamic logic has not only all the standard program operators of Propositional Dynamic Logic, but also parallel composition as well as an operator of inclusive nondeterministic composition; its atomic programs are assignments of propositional variables. We show that the resulting dynamic epistemic logic is powerful enough to capture several kinds of sequential and parallel planning, and so both in the unbounded and in the finite horizon version.

Abstract Background The World Health Organization recommends the use of a weight-for-height Z-score (WHZ) and/or mid-upper arm circumference (MUAC) as anthropometric criteria for the admission and discharge of young children for the community-based management of severe acute malnutrition. However, using MUAC as a single anthropometric criterion for admission and discharge in therapeutic nutritional programs may offer operational advantages to simplify admission processes at therapeutic nutritional centers and improve program coverage. Methods This pragmatic, non-randomized, intervention study compared a standard outpatient nutritional program (n = 824) for the treatment of uncomplicated severe acute malnutrition using WHZ < − 3 and/or MUAC< 115 mm and/or bipedal edema for admission and discharge to a program (n = 1019) using MUAC as the sole anthropometric criterion for admission (MUAC< 120 mm) and discharge (MUAC ≥125 mm at two consecutive visits) in the Tahoua Region of Niger. Results Compared to the standard program, the MUAC-only program discharged more children as recovered (70.1% vs. 51.6%; aOR 2.31, 95%CI 1.79–2.98) and fewer children as non-respondent or defaulters, based on respective program definitions. The risk of non-response was high in both programs. Three months post-discharge, children who were discharged after recovery in the MUAC-only program had lower WHZ and MUAC measures. Sixty-three children ineligible for the MUAC-only program but eligible for a standard program (MUAC ≥120 mm and WHZ < -3) were followed for twelve weeks and the anthropometric status of 69.8% of these children did not deteriorate (i.e. MUAC ≥120 mm) despite not immediately receiving treatment in the MUAC-only program. Conclusions The results from this study share the first operational experience of using MUAC as sole anthropometric criterion for admission and discharge in Niger and overall support the consideration for MUAC-only programming: the MUAC-only model of care was associated with a higher recovery and a lower defaulter rate than the standard program with very few children found to be excluded from treatment with an admission criterion of MUAC < 120 mm. Further consideration of the appropriate MUAC-based discharge criterion as it relates to an increased risk of non-response and adverse post-discharge outcomes would be prudent.

The attempt is made to characterize the photon multiplicity distribution as recorded in Photon Multiplicity Detector (PMD) as a part of the WA98 experiment for Pb-Pb interactions at 158 A GeV in terms of Negative Binomial Distribution. The free parameters n ̅ and k of the negative binomial distribution are optimized using CERN standard program MINIUTE and the errors or the parameters are calculated as given in MINOS software. The results obtained are compared with the predictions of Monte Carlo simulation data using VENUS 4.12.

The article proves that the prevention of gender-based violence as an object of administrative and legal regulation is a system of measures defined by law, which are carried out by the relevant authorities to stop such violence, provide assistance to victims, ensure their protection, victims receive compensation, and also ensuring proper investigation and prosecution of the perpetrators. Based on the analysis of the current legislation, it is established that the issues of combating gender-based violence are in the field of view of public authorities. The available legal framework covers the main areas of such counteraction. However, statistics that show an increase in the number of cases of gender-based violence necessitate the improvement of mechanisms for preventing and combating gender-based violence, as well as the interaction of actors in this area. It was found that in 2020, the Decree of the President of Ukraine decided to recognize the need for immediate implementation of measures aimed at protecting the rights and interests of victims of domestic violence and gender-based violence. In this regard, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine was instructed, in particular: to develop and approve a state social program to prevent and combat domestic violence and gender-based violence until 2025; approval of a standard program for victims, as well as improvement of a standard program for offenders, providing appropriate guidelines for the implementation of such programs; ensure the development of bills aimed at establishing liability for harassment (stalking), including through the use of electronic means of communication, such as gender-based violence. The lack of effectiveness of the mechanism for preventing and combating gender-based violence and ensuring the protection of the rights of victims of such violence is emphasized, which is one of the main problems in this area and necessitates the improvement of relevant legislation.
