The continuous increase in production, lack of flexibility of organizations, and lack of knowledge on sustainability have led to the depletion of raw materials and increased waste generation. Industrial symbiosis now has become a very effective solution and an essential strategy for responsible consumption and waste utilization. This strategy helps different organizations to blend their resources, share information, logistics, and waste materials to solve their problems by forming a network to increase profits. This study was directed towards identifying the barriers towards applying Industrial Symbiosis in an organization with probable solutions to them. ISM modeling and MICMAC analysis were used to visualize the impact of different barriers for implementing Industrial symbiosis in an organization and improve efficiency in terms of eco-innovation. The results of this study give experiences and rules to practicing managers in medium and small-scale industries to effectively execute Industrial Symbiosis. The study also adds to the improvement of a basic model for examining the barriers affecting IS with regards to eco-innovation and sustainable frameworks and contributes to ongoing researches on this eco-friendly idea of Industrial Symbiosis.

The railway is a complex technical system of systems in a multi-stakeholder environment. The implementation of digital technologies is essential for achieving operational excellence and addressing stakeholders’ needs and requirements in relation to the railways. Digitalization is highly dependent on an appropriate digital infrastructure provided through proper information logistics, whereas cybersecurity is critical for the overall security and safety of the railway systems. However, it is important to understand the various issues and challenges presented by governance, business, and technical requirements. Hence, this paper is the first link in the chain to explore, understand, and address such requirements. The purpose of this paper is to identify aspects of distributed ledgers and to provide a taxonomy of issues and challenges to develop a secure and resilient data sharing framework for railway stakeholders.

Among the most decisive challenges that the climate crisis will bring during up coming decades will be the necessity to overcome the current lack of planetary ecosystem governance. The void that exists where proper geopolitics should reside demands a recalibration of the focus of design towards the conception, implementation, and support of new institutional models capable of reconfiguring established infrastructural, ecosystem and governance structures. The rising awareness of the lack of ecological agency has recently led to the emergence of several proto-policies branded under the name of “Green New Deals” (GNDs): the green proposals across the world that aim to address climate change and economic inequality. However, the implementation of the GND’s goals requires not only the necessary infrastructural means for decarbonisation but also a set of social insurance mechanisms able to guarantee social stability during the transition to a new energy regime. The complexity that this task poses in relation to society, the economy, manufacturing industries and goods and information logistics will require the establishment of an institution capable of intervening in the regulation and coordination of all the parties involved. Green Military New Deal (GMND) is a research proposal that lies between the legislative models of ecosystem governance and the institutions capable of enforcing them. It speculates about the military establishment as a proto-platform that could fulfil the institutional gap created by the GND’s demands. Would it be possible to reimagine the military establishment as a trans-national ecological force capable of mobilising and enforcing proper ecosystem management, conscious of its ability to act as a welfare provider while deploying its technological resources? Our research offers an informed approach toward this counterintuitive premise, uncomfortable as it may be, by forcing us to question how certain existing institutions could be properly repurposed to address issues of global necessity.

This study aims to provide valuable insights into the information logistics process and to ensure the effectiveness of its systems in the business environment by discussing the banking sector. In this regard, this study investigates the information logistics system of a bank’s IT service center. For this purpose, the instruments for transfer of the bank Z information logistics system were empirically tested in order to highlight the assessment factors; the various factors related to the bank Z information logistics management methodologies and the methods were examined. The key findings and contributions were achieved, i.e., we developed a systematic model for assessing information logistics systems in a bank. The model explains the adaptation of various methodologies and techniques of information logistics systems in the banking sector and justifies the platform of interaction of information logistics processes. The first part of the article introduces the concept of information logistics systems and unpacks its development and management methodologies and processes. The second part introduces the research methodology for assessing information logistics systems. The results highlight the system of management processes applied to the information logistics and discuss the areas and tools for improving this system. The main outcome of this research is presented in the third part, where the systematic model for assessing information logistics systems is developed. This model distinguishes the stages of information logistics cycles and the levels of the information logistics environments. It indicates the information logistics methodologies and techniques linking to the six types of management processes in the IT service center of a bank. The developed model helps to make the assessment of the information cycle more efficient and demonstrates a customizable result which can be adapted by other companies within their IT service centers.

The paper proposes a new problem to be solved in the process of redesigning large distributed corporate systems in which there is an exchange of many information flows through various channels. The variety of information transmission routes often leads to multiple duplication of information flows in physical channels. This increases the likelihood of data corruption on the network. At the same time, in large distributed systems, powerful and weak channels with low bandwidth or low reliability are used, which are often disconnected, and in this case it is necessary to solve the problem of information logistics - redistribution of information flows. The paper proposes the problem of optimizing the redistribution of information flows by the criterion of minimizing the total increment in the volume of transmitted information in the system, which is included in the integral indicator of the characteristics of logical and physical communication channels. The problem is solved at the application level when redesigning a corporate system by removing ineffective channels to obtain a minimum spanning tree structure.

The subject of the article is to define the current state of the information system, to describe the use of technology in practice and to understand the principle and benefits of smart logistics. To describe the operation of RFID technology and systems that are necessary for the effective operation of a comprehensive automatic identification system. The issue is to define the current state of information technology and create a project for automatic identification. The aim of the smart logistics project is the overall improvement of the production process, registration of parts and the overall highlighting of the company's reputation. Automatic identification systems are nowadays one of the fastest growing areas, whether information logistics or logistics as such. Manufacturing companies are trying to apply more and more elements of these systems to their production processes. Slovak companies, which have their production process based on international orders, are increasingly trying to optimize their production and thus approach Western countries in the field of automatic identification and registration of parts.

To solve the problems of centralization, tampering, incomplete storage, and privacy of fire fighting equipment traceability system, this paper proposes a fire fighting equipment information traceability system based on blockchain. The system is developed on the Fabric blockchain platform of Hyperledger. The system environment is equipped with three organizations: manufacturer, dealer, and consumers, and the query request is initiated with the traceability function of fire fighting equipment in the chaincode. Finally, through the certificate authentication user account can realize the fire fighting equipment information inquiry, and the query response time average value is 19.5 ms. The characteristics of blockchain are difficult to tamper with, timestamp and transaction traceability, which can be well applied to the traceability system of fire fighting equipment, which makes the traceability function of the system more perfect, and consumers can get all traceability information, including production information, logistics information and usage information of fire fighting equipment.
