The studies were carried out in order to assess the parameters of the adaptability of promising pea samples in terms of yield to identify the best genotypes for the conditions of middle Volga region. The work was carried out in 2018-2020 in the central zone of Ulyanovsk region. The object of the research was 10 pea samples, the standard was Ukaz variety. According to the methods of S.A. Eberhart, W.A. Russell, V.V. Khangildina and S.P. Martynova determined the adaptability of breeding samples using the following indicators: coefficient of variation (V%), homeostaticity (Hom), breeding value (Sc), stability index (Sj2), linear coefficient regression (bi), point stability estimate (Hi). On average, over three years of research, the greatest increase in yield, compared to the standard, was noted for Ulyanovskiy yubileiny variety - 0.43 t/ha. The genotypes of Ulyanovskiy yubileiny, Viridis and line 657/14 with the smallest values of the coefficients of variation - 14.6, 22.4, 23.4%, respectively, are attributed to the most stable in terms of the coefficient of variation V. The most valuable in terms of plasticity and stability were the Ukaz variety (bi=1.15 and Sj2=0.02) and line 559/11 (1.14 and 0.00 respectively). Line 621/14 (bi=1.42 and Sj2=0.15) was recognized as an intensive variety with very low phenotypic stability and line 752/14 (1.29 and 0.11 respectively), with a reduced variety. Lines 215/11, 533/14, 657/14 were distinguished by very high phenotypic stability (bi=0,91…1,07, Sj2=0,00…0,03). The highest level of homeostaticity in combination with breeding value was observed in the promising pea cultivar Ulyanovskiy Yubileiny (Hom=15.33 and Sc=1.67) and line 215/11 (Hom=7.74 and Sc=1.22). According to the point assessment of Hi stability, significant advantages were revealed in Ulyanovskiy yubileiny variety (Hi =4.22) and line 215/11 (1.33). According to the sum of the ranks of the six parameters of adaptability, the leading positions were occupied by lines 533/14 (27), 215/11 (32) and promising varieties Ulyanovskiy yubileiny (32), Viridis (32). According to the test results, two samples in 2020 were submitted for state variety testing

The article reflects the results of research on the topic «History and cultural heritage of the settlements of the Ulyanovsk region." The subject of the research is the history of the St. Michael the Archangel's Church and the Kazan-Mother of God church in the villages of Birlya and Taburnoe (now belonging to Melekessky district of the Ulyanovsk region). The purpose of the article is to identify the most important periods of the above-mentioned churches from the end of the 19-th century to the 1950-s, to establish the composition of the clergy, and the educational work of the clergy among the population. Analysis of unpublished documents from the Central State Archives of the Samara Region allowed to establish: the ethnic composition of the settlements, socio-economic status of inhabitants, reasons and patterns of migration of the local population; the foundation and liquidation dates of the churches, facts of life of church ministers and parish; statistical data on the economic structure of the clergy. The Mikhailo-Arkhangelsk and Kazan-Mother of God churches in the villages of Birlya and Taburnoye are lost monuments of the Orthodox cultural heritage. Mikhailo-Arkhangelsk and Kazan-Mother of God churches were built, respectively, at the end of the 19th century. and destroyed in the first half of the 1950-s. in connection with the construction of the Kuibyshev hydroelectric power station, and their location is flooded by a reservoir.

The main goal of health risk analysis is to obtain and generalize information about the possible influence of environmental factors on human health. As a result of hydrochemical analysis of drinking water supply sources in the Ulyanovsk region, a list of main contaminants has been established. It includes ammonium, iron, copper, phosphates, sulfates, chlorides, nitrates, zinc, manganese and chromium. Among them three pollutants - iron, manganese and sulfates – had surpassed maximum permissible concentration. The concentration of iron at the level of threshold chronic effects was found in drinking water of Baryshsky (0.13), Melekessky (0.16), Sengileevsky (0.13) districts. Severe chronic effects can be caused by the concentration of iron and manganese in the drinking water of the Staromainsky (0.4 and 0.3) and Cherdaklinsky (0.9 and 0.27) districts. Assessment of health risks led us to the conclusion that drinking water can serve as an additional risk factor and provoke disease development. As follows from the study, physical culture and sports are the most important factor in the socialization of a person with disabilities, contributing to social mobility, the achievement of sports results and changes in the quality of life in general. The study of allergenic plants and their palynological complexes is of great importance for the prevention of pollinosis. Despite this, they are insufficiently studied in many countries of the world, including Russia. On the territory of the Ulyanovsk region, these studies were not carried out, although pollinosis occupy a leading place among allergic pathology. Studies have shown that the largest amount of pollen grains for the entire flowering period of allergenic plants is observed in the industrial zone. We can conclude that June and July are the most dangerous months for people with allergies. The most dangerous waves are the second and third, the least dangerous - the first. The research results must be taken into account when planning preventive measures and treating pollinosis. Key words: allergenic plants, hay fever, pollination, pollen concentration, pollen wave.

The Ulyanovsk region is rich in water natural monuments, and the Yulovsky pond is one of the oldest. At the same time, there is no generally accepted methodology for conducting environmental monitoring for protected water bodies. We propose one of the options for the methodology for assessing the anthropogenic load on protected water bodies in order to optimize the protection regime of these territories. Key words: Yulovsky pond, ecological monitoring, specially protected natural area, chemical analysis of water, analysis of vegetation.

Presented is analysis of religiosity of students of the Ulyanovsk State Pedagogical University, by which the author understands a complex category that includes religious and confessional self-identification, a set of institutional religious ideas, the degree of involvement in real religious practice and syncretic formations that arose in the course of interfaith and intercultural interaction. The empirical base of the study was made up of materials from a mass Internet survey, in which 1316 people took part — students studying in various specialties. The choice of students of the Ulyanovsk pedagogical university as an object of research is due to the specificity of the world outlook of student youth, the strengthening of the role of religion in the system of domestic higher education in the last decade, as well as the specificity of the Ulyanovsk region in ethno-confessional terms. In terms of confessional affiliation, 68.2% identified themselves as Christianity, 15.7% as Islam. In addition, 47.6% of the respondents consider themselves to be believers. At the same time, a relatively small part of the respondents demonstrates a high degree of involvement in religious life. In particular, only 2% of the Christians surveyed attend church every week. In addition, the study revealed that among some of the respondents non-institutional religious beliefs associated with magic, as well as beliefs associated with the influence of other religions, appear in their religious consciousness. For example, some Muslims consider Jesus to be God, which can be explained by the influence of Christian culture.

The best way to prevent occupational diseases is to identify the impact of harmful production factors on the employees at an early stage and to develop an occupational risk management system. This can be proved by indicators of occupational morbidity. The purpose of the study is to compare the dynamics of occupational morbidity, structure of reported occupational diseases in Ulyanovsk region, Volga Federal District and the Russian Federation in 2015–2019. Materials and Methods. The paper presents statistical data on the level and structure of occupational morbidity. The authors analyzed such parameters as industrial sector, enterprise, gender and age of workers, length of service under harmful production factors, harmful production factors that caused occupational diseases, levels of harmful production factors, circumstances of disease onset. Results. The level of occupational morbidity in Ulyanovsk region continues to decline. The same trend is observed in the Russian Federation and the Volga Federal District. Analysis of occupational morbidity, depending on the industrial sector, showed that at present in Ulyanovsk region the first place in the number of occupational diseases is occupied by air transport enterprises. Until 2018, the leading enterprises were those producing components and accessories for motor vehicles. There were no significant changes in the structure of occupational morbidity. In Ulyanovsk region, Volga Federal District and the Russian Federation as a whole, occupational diseases caused by physical factors come first. Sensorineural hearing loss prevails in this group of occupational diseases. The level of occupational diseases in the region in different years reflects the quality of medical care. The authors pay attention to the role of the occupational health center in solving organizational, methodological and practical tasks for identification, treatment and prevention of occupational diseases. We also identified the problems for regional healthcare organizations. Problem solving can improve treatment delivery to the employable population. Основой профилактики профессиональных заболеваний является раннее выявление воздействия вредных производственных факторов на организм работающих и разработка системы управления профессиональными рисками. Доказательством этого могут служить показатели профессиональной заболеваемости. Цель исследования – сравнительный анализ динамики профессиональной заболеваемости, структуры выявляемой профессиональной патологии в Ульяновской области, Приволжском федеральном округе и РФ в 2015–2019 гг. Материалы и методы. Приведены статистические данные об уровне и структуре профессиональной заболеваемости. Проанализированы такие показатели, как отрасль промышленности, предприятие, пол, возраст работников, стаж работы в условиях вредных производственных факторов, вредные производственные факторы, которые привели к развитию профзаболевания, уровни вредных производственных факторов, обстоятельства возникновения. Результаты. Уровень профессиональной заболеваемости в Ульяновской области продолжает снижаться, такая же тенденция отмечается в РФ и ПФО. Анализ профессиональной заболеваемости в зависимости от отрасли производства показал, что в настоящее время в Ульяновской области первое место по количеству профессиональных заболеваний занимают предприятия воздушного транспорта. До 2018 г. лидирующими были предприятия по производству комплектующих и принадлежностей для автотранспортных средств. В структуре профессиональной заболеваемости каких-либо существенных изменений не произошло. В Ульяновской области, как в ПФО и РФ в целом, профессиональная патология от воздействия физических факторов занимает первое место. В этой группе профессиональных заболеваний превалирует нейросенсорная тугоухость. Уровень профессиональных заболеваний в различные годы в регионе отражает качество оказания медицинской помощи. Показана роль Центра профпатологии в решении организационно-методических и практических задач по выявлению, лечению и профилактике профессиональных заболеваний. Для медицинских организаций региона, занимающихся охраной здоровья работающих в контакте с вредными производственными факторами, определены задачи, которые позволят улучшить систему оказания медицинской помощи трудоспособному населению.
