Increasing the instability of Ukrainian enterprises, which requires increasing attention to solving the problem of ensuring the required level of financial security requires consideration not only of methodological aspects of creating and adjusting the subsystem in the economic security of the enterprise, but also forming approaches to assessing its management. To develop a methodological approach to assessing the management of financial security of the enterprise used methods: induction and deduction, comparison and systematization – in the study of the essential characteristics of the terms "efficiency" and "effectiveness"; synthesis and analysis – to identify and characterize the essence of the main approaches to management evaluation; morphological analysis – to clarify the list of indicators and determine the sequence of calculation of group indicators; graphic – for visual presentation of theoretical and methodical material; abstract-logical – for theoretical generalizations and conclusions of the study. A methodical approach to assessing the management of financial security of the enterprise, which provides for the gradual definition of individual indicators with their combination into groups of three components: financial security of the enterprise, evaluating the effectiveness of security entities and evaluating the effectiveness of organizational structure and resources. The developed approach is based on theoretical bases, which include: criteria for assessing the financial security of the enterprise; provisions on the interaction of structural units in the process of ensuring the financial security of the enterprise; requirements for input information; principles of formation and use of the evaluation system of financial security management of the enterprise. The formed methodical approach promotes achievement of the key purposes of an estimation: a reliable estimation of management of financial safety of the enterprise as a whole and in a cut of the basic components; determining the impact of factors on the change in the level of financial security, the effectiveness of the actions of security entities and the effectiveness of the use of organizational structure and resources; improving the evaluation process in accordance with changes in the main stages of financial security management of the enterprise and the provisions for ensuring the economic security of the enterprise.

With the advent of modern communication and control strategies, existing industrial enterprises are now being transformed as per Industrial Revolution (IR) 4.0 standards to maximize production rates and monetary gains. To cope with the pace of the modern technological revolution, the Government of Saudi Arabia has launched “Vision 2030”. This research article presents the full automation process of an existing production line at the College of Engineering, King Saud University, as per “Vision 2030” guidelines. Initially, a production line was designed to produce flavored yogurt bottles from a user-defined flavor and plain yogurt mixture. The research project was completed in two phases. During phase I, smart sensing, control, and automation equipment were used to minimize human intervention, the so-called semi-automated mode of operation. A bottle-feeding mechanism and robotic arms were later integrated to eliminate human intervention during the second phase. Moreover, during phase II, Node-RED, Telegram Bots, and a Raspberry Pi 4 controller were used to achieve IoT-based monitoring and control as per Industry 4.0 requirements. A comparative performance analysis was conducted between semi-automated and fully automated modes of operation to demonstrate the benefits of the fully automated operational mode. The performance of the fully automated system was found to be superior in comparison with the semi-automated system.

The formation of the ERP is a complex and time-consuming process, and therefore for the successful completion of the project it is necessary to develop a strategic plan for management automation and the use of modern approaches to assess its effectiveness. An important aspect of the formation of an effective ERP is to identify, analyze and assess the impact of external and internal factors that affect the satisfaction of future users of the implemented system – staff and managers at all levels. The article analyzes common approaches to identifying factors influencing the effectiveness of projects for automation of industrial enterprise management. The application of common approaches to assessing the effectiveness of an automated enterprise management system at different levels of maturity of its IT infrastructure, indicating their main advantages and disadvantages, and gives priority to the total cost of ownership as a key. It is proved that to increase the productivity and efficiency of ERP-system enterprises should take into account the factors that affect user satisfaction. At present, it is actually possible to determine the effectiveness of IT investments for Ukrainian enterprises is the analysis of whether it is possible to achieve the set goals at the expense of funds allocated for automation, formulated not in the form of their return coefficient, but in terms characterizing the parameters of automated processes. In general, for most modern enterprises before the implementation of AMS it is necessary to conduct an audit and reorganization of their activities to create rational technologies and business processes. Reorganization in this case does not necessarily mean a change in the organizational structure of the enterprise, but the optimization of processes to achieve greater productivity at lower cost. Prospects for the development and maintenance of the system are important for domestic enterprises, which are mainly determined by the developer (supplier) of the automated system, as well as a set of standards that is embedded in the system and its components. In addition, an important role in choosing a supplier is the form of its presence in the domestic market, which is formed by the presence of a network of certified technical support centers, authorized training centers, “hotlines” for consultations and more.

One measure of research productivity within the University of Kansas Cancer Center (KU Cancer Center) is peer-reviewed publications. Considerable effort goes into searching, capturing, reviewing, storing, and reporting cancer-relevant publications. Traditionally, the method of gathering relevant information to the publications is done manually. This manuscript describes the efforts to transition KU Cancer Center’s publication gathering process from a heavily manual to a more automated and efficient process. To achieve this transition in the most customized and cost-effective manner, a homegrown, automated system was developed using open source API among other software. When comparing the automated and the manual processes over several years of data, publication search and retrieval time dropped from an average of 59 h to 35 min, which would amount to a cost savings of several thousand dollars per year. The development and adoption of an automated publications search process can offer research centers great potential for less-error prone results with a savings in time and cost.

Automated machine tool systems for multi-product manufacturing were designed for processing parts of a certain nomenclature, which includes separate groups of parts, united by the design, technological, organizational and economic properties. To reduce the number of options in the structure of an automated machine tool system, a target nonlinear design function was applied. Technological conditions were formulated in such a way as to allow synthesizing alternative structures of the designed automated system. At this stage, a matrix of relations was built and a formalized description of technological conditions was given. Specific and generalized technological conditions, which take into account the graph of relations and compatibility condition formulated for any pair of elements, were considered. The article discusses the generalized technological conditions obtained on the basis of the synthesis of compatibility and follow-up properties. The existence of generalized technological conditions for the elements of the automated system of the same name was assessed. The interaction of the elements of an automated system during processing, when the condition of the following and compatibility of technological parameters are met, was studied. By analyzing the functional and technological structure of an automated machine tool system for multi-product manufacturing, the key relationships between its main elements were determined, and the technological environment, a key subject of the system research, was identified.

In this article a research of the nature of modern enterprises development is presented, characterized by moving from material-based to information-based economic products. It was discovered that economically developed enterprises have almost exhausted their potential for further growth due to organizational improvements, previously affecting mainly the material part of the economic product. Therefore, studies on improving the efficiency of the production organization of information economic products are becoming more and more relevant.Purpose: the main purpose of this research is to develop extended principles of lean manufacturing of information economic products. To achieve this goal following tasks were resolved: material intensity analysis was implemented, the structure of information economic product (IEP) was examined, traditional principles of lean manufacturing were reviewed and expanded for information economic product creation. The object of the research are modern industrial enterprises that apply the concept of lean manufacturing or similar. The subject of the research are the principles of lean manufacturing for creating an information economic product. Methods: the time series extrapolation method and the empirical analysis method were used to calculate the material intensity index of products. Abstract and comparative analysis methods were applied to develop the extended principles of IEP lean manufacturing. In addition, methods of analysis and synthesis, the historical method, as well as elements of factor analysis were used for the study. Results: the material and information structure of the economic product is considered and proposed. The nature of the dynamics of its changes in the process of changing the stages of technological and economic development of scientific and technological progress is justified, which allowed us to argue the vector of changes in the structure of costs for creating a modern material product in terms of increasing information and reducing material components. The constantly rising costs of creating information increasingly characterize it as a market product that has its own cost structure, which gave reason to classify it as an information economic product (IEP). In this regard, the structure of the information economic product was studied and developed, based on the analysis of the term of "information" both from the perspective of the organization and operational management and from the perspective of related branches of knowledge. As a result of the comparative analysis, extended principles of IEP lean manufacturing were developed. Conclusions and Relevance: the analysis of the material intensity index revealed a tendency to a continuous decrease in the material intensity of the economic product and an increase in the information component. As a result of the study of the structure of the information economic product, it was revealed that the potential for increasing the economic efficiency of modern industrial enterprises is primarily laid in improving logical data processing. It is proposed to achieve this by using the developed extended principles of IEP lean manufacturing, among which the main one is the principle of intellectual and creative reciprocity.
