Writing skills of paragraph are skills that students must have. This research aims to describe the writing skills of paragraph for students of the English Literature Study Program and the Japanese and Culture Study Program of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Diponegoro University in 2017. The research data is in the form of discourse fragments that were made by students.Collecting data used purposive sampling technique. Then the data was identified, classified, and analyzed by using paragraph theory. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the writing skill of paragraphs for students in the English Literature Study Program and Japanese and Culture Study Program still needs to be improved because there were still found paragraphs that are lacking in the unity of the ideas. Likewise,by cohesiveness are still found errors, especially in terms of reference. In terms of completeness, sequence, and consistency of points of view in paragraphs students can apply well.

Writing skills are one of the skills that must be mastered by language learners. As an effort to improve writing skills, the researcher uses the Task Based Language Teaching (TBLT) approach. The TBLT approach is carried out on 19 level 1 students of the English Literature study program in learning descriptive writing skills in English. The type of research conducted is Classroom Action Research (CAR) in collaboration with lecturers of Writing 1 class. The research is supported by qualitative and quantitative data to determine the students’ improvement in the process of learning descriptive writing using TBLT. The results show a significant increase in the results of descriptive writing tests conducted in the first and second cycles. In addition, the use of TBLT can motivate students in the learning process. The results of this study were obtained based on the grades of the descriptive writing tests, observations and questionnaires. The results of the post-test indicate an increase in the average student score to 85.6 from the average pre-test score of 62.2. Finally, the results of the questionnaire also show that almost all students agreed to use TBLT as a guide in Descriptive writing, and it has proven to be able to improve the students’ writing skills.

This research aims at describing and developing website based authentic assessment model on drama course in English literature study program. The research data comes from descriptive information of the experts or validator along with the suggestion from the students as the product user through the PBL activity combined with the observation and recording with video tape. Data analysis is done by using rubric measure: a) the information completeness which is applied on the work sheets. b) the information comprehensiveness which is included in the paragraph written by the students. The overall of the flow diagram are :  Preparation: choosing the research based article which is relevant with the course; preparing worksheet and observation sheet.  Implementation: the students read the research based article and fill in the worksheet. . Observation: filling in the observation sheet and writing anecdotal record. Reflection: analyzing the observation sheet and measurement rubric. With the implementation of authentic assessment toward the students who participate in the drama appreciation course. The obtained results show significant increase in their competence through the 6 kinds of task which contain website based authentic assessment on the stage of manipulating expression, scripting, dialogue reading, pre performing and stage performance.

<p><em>Pre-school age is particularly vulnerable to the effects of stress and fear during hospitalization. Children under the age of 6 are less able to think about an event as a whole, have not been able to determine behavior that can overcome the fear based on experience ever experienced and coping strategies ever done. The aims of this research to know correlation family support with child anxious response during infusion. This study was a quantitative with correlation study using cross sectional method. There were 51 respondents participated in this research. Data were collected through observation with purposive sampling technique. Then, data were analysed through univariate and bivariate. The result of univariate statistic test revealed that as much as 64.7% had good family support and 56.9% experienced an anxious response during infusion. The result of  bivariate statistic test showed that there was a positive correlation with moderate strength between family support and child's anxious response during infusion. This riset showed that families should provide support when children experience fear, anxiety and pain during infusion.</em></p><p><em><br /></em></p><p>Usia pra sekolah sangat rentan terhadap efek stress dan ketakutan selama rawat inap. Anak- anak dibawah usia 6 tahun kurang mampu berpikir tentang suatu peristiwa secara keseluruhan, belum bisa menentukan perilaku yang dapat mengatasi ketakutan berdasarkan pengalaman yang pernah dialami dan strategi koping yang pernah dilakukan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui korelasi dukungan keluarga dengan respon cemas anak saat pemasangan infus. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif studi korelatif dengan metode <em>cross secsional</em>. Sebanyak 51 responden terlibat dalam penelitian ini. Pengumpulan data melalui observasi. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara <em>purposive sampling. </em>Analisis data dilakukan secara <em>univariat </em>dan<em> bivariat. </em>Dari hasil uji statistik univariat diketahui sebanyak 64,7% memiliki dukungan keluarga baik dan 56,9% mengalami respon cemas saat pemasangan infus. Hasil uji statistik bivariat menunjukkan ada korelasi positif dengan kekuatan sedang antara dukungan keluarga dengan respon cemas anak saat pemasangan infus. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa keluarga sebaiknya memberikan dukungannya pada saat anak mengalami ketakutan, kecemasan dan rasa nyeri pada saat pemasangan infus.</p><p><em><br /></em></p>

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was categorized into three. First, to describe the effective sentence mastery of the first year students at SMK Negeri 2 Padang. Second, to describe the writing skills of a exposition of the first year students at SMK Negeri 2 Padang. Third, to describe the contribution of the effective sentence mastery into the writing skills of a exposition text made by the first year students at SMK Negeri 2 Padang. The design of this research was quantitative with a descriptive method. Then, this study also was a correlational design. The population of this study was the first year students at SMK Negeri 2 Padang for about 498 students. The sample of this study was taken by using a proportional random sampling technique (15%), which was 70 students. The data of this study were the results of effective sentence mastery and the results of the writing skill of a exposition text. The instrument of this study was an objective test to measure effective sentence mastery and performance tests to measure expositon text. There were several results of this study. First, the effective sentence mastery of the first year students at SMK Negeri 2 Padang was in Good qualifications (B). Second, the writing skills of a exposition of the first year students at SMK Negeri 2 Padang was in a Good qualification (B). Third, describe the effective sentence mastery contributed 82,00% to the exposition text writing skills of the first year students of SMK Negeri 2 Padang. Kata Kunci: kontribusi, penguasaan kalimat efektif,  keterampilan menulis teks eksposisi

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran dan hubungan self efficacy, coping stress dan prestasi akademik mahasiswa semester awal Program Studi Psikologi Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Lambung Mangkurat. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 60 orang. Tekhnik pengambilan data dengan cara purposive sampling. Alat pengumpul data yang digunakan adalah skala self efficacy dan skala coping stress. Untuk prestasi akademik data dikumpulkan dengan melihat indeks prestasi akademik (IPK) semester pertama. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan analisis regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan : (1) tidak ada hubungan yang sangat signifikan antara variabel self efficacy, coping stress dan prestasi akademik , (2) sumbangan prediktor (R2) self efficacy dan coping stress sebesar  2%, (3) rata-rata mahasiswa Program Studi Psikologi angkatan 2012 memiliki self efficacy yang tergolong tinggi, coping stress yang tergolong sedang dan prestasi akademik yang tergolong sedang.Kata kunci : self efficacy, coping stress, dan prestasi akademik  Aim to determine relationship between self efficacy, coping stress and achievement academic in first semester college student of Psychology Study Program of Medical Faculty of Lambung Mangkurat University. Method respondents as many as 60 first semester college students. Sampling technique by using purposive sampling. Data collection by using self efficacy scale, coping of stress scale and achievement academic indeks of first semester. Data analyzed by multiple regression. Results the relationship between self efficacy, coping of stress and achievement academic is not significant.. Self efficacy and coping of stress contribute 2% to achievement academic. Conclusion Odd semester college student in 2012 has high performance in self efficacy, middle in coping of stress and middle in achievement academic. Keywords: self efficacy, coping of stress, achievement academic

<p>Abstract: The purpose of this research at finding out empirical evidence concerning whether clustering technique and vocabulary mastery are effective or not for the student to write recount text. The research methodology used is an experiment. The sampling technique uses random sampling at Private Vocational High Schools in East Jakarta. Data collection is obtained by testing their vocabulary mastery and writing skills. Data analysis to test hypothesis is two ways ANOVA. The research results conclude 1) There is a significant effect of the clustering technique on students’ writing skills with the value (Sig) being 0.000 &lt; 0.05 and F0 = 36.740. 2) A significant effect of vocabulary mastery on students’ writing skills with the value (Sig) is 0.000 &lt; 0.05 and F0 = 72.161. 3) There is a significant interactive effect of clustering technique and vocabulary mastery on students’ writing skills. With the value (sig) is 0.018 &lt; 0.05 and F0 = 5.921. Then all of H0 is rejected, and H1 is accepted. So, there is the effect of clustering technique and vocabulary mastery on students’ writing skills in recount text.<br />Keywords: Clustering Technique, Vocabulary Mastery, Writing Skill, Recount Text</p>

Data dianalisis melalui reduksi data, pemyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan.Penelitian ini menemukan rumusan tentang deskripsi isi pendidikan kewarganegaraan berdasarkan isu aktual bidang ketahanan nasional yaitu tentang isu-isu ipoleksosbudhankam berupa kajian kompetensi dasar yang diterjemahkan menjadi indikator-indikator untuk mencapai tujuan dari kompetensi dasar tersebut. Berdasarkan analisis data, diperlukan kajian isu aktual ketahanan nasional untuk mendukung isi pendidikan kewarganegaraan persekolahan

<p>The number of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) factually increased in recent years due to several factors such as the imbalance between demand and supply for the workplace. According to various literature study, entrepreneurs are related to the individuals' capacity and characteristics in exploiting market opportunities. The previous studies showed that entrepreneurs need to determine individual characteristics for proceeding with other strategies. Therefore, there are particular characteristics related to business activities that need to be possessed by prospective entrepreneurs. This research aims to reveal the entrepreneurship characteristics with a behavioral approach. Data were collected from 5 entrepreneurs in Bangkalan Regency using the purposive sampling technique. The result showed that entrepreneurial behaviors are either active or passive. In addition, the existence of competitors is not considered a threat to independence in developing business ideas.   </p>

<div class="WordSection1"><p><strong><em>ABSTRACT:</em></strong><em> The purpose of this research to explore the perceptions of taxpayers on the satisfaction of assistance performed by tax volunteers at the Tax Volunteer placement location. There are 4 (four) locations for the placement of Tax Volunteers, namely KPP Pratama Singaraja, KP2KP Negara, KP2KP Amlapura and Tax Center Undiksha. This research use desciptive qualitative approach. The sampling technique used in this research was purposive sampling with interview techniques in collecting research data. The population in this research are taxpayers who carry out the duty to annual tax return through e-Filing. Meanwhile, the sample in this research were taxpayers whose reporting the annual tax return were assisted by Tax Volunteers in the 4 (four) placements. The results of this research indicate that taxpayer assistance activities by tax volunteers in helping to fill individual annual tax returns are very effective. This can be seen from the satisfaction of taxpayers after receiving assistance by Tax Volunteers. Taxpayers are satisfied with the assistance of tax volunteers because the annual tax return reporting process is easier, faster and Tax Volunteers are able to guide Taxpayers in filling out their own. This assistance helps reduce the difficulties experienced by Taxpayers in understanding SPT filling independently. Taxpayer satisfaction is expected to increase compliance in reporting the Annual Tax Return. The sustainability of the Tax Volunteer program is also highly expected because it is considered very effective for taxpayers who do not understand the procedures for submitting annual tax return, especially those who are not yet competent with technological advances.</em></p><p><strong><em>Keywords</em></strong><em>: Perception, Assistance, e-Filing, Tax Volunteers</em></p><p> </p><p><strong>ABSTRAK:</strong> Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali persepsi wajib pajak atas kepuasan pendampingan yang dilakukan oleh Relawan Pajak di lokasi penempatan relawan pajak. Adapun 4 (empat) lokasi penempatan Relawan Pajak yaitu KPP Pratama Singaraja, KP2KP Negara, KP2KP Amlapura dan <em>Tax Center</em> Undiksha. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik penentuan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah <em>purposive sampling</em> dengan teknik wawancara dalam pengumpulan data penelitian. Yang menjadi populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah Wajib Pajak yang melaksanakan kewajiban dalam melaporkan SPT Tahunan melalui <em>E-Filing</em>. Sedangkan, sampel dalam penelitian ini yakni Wajib Pajak yang kegiatan pelaporan SPT Tahunannya didampingi oleh Relawan Pajak di 4 (empat) penempatan tersebut. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa kegiatan pendampingan wajib pajak oleh relawan pajak dalam membantu pengisian SPT tahunan orang pribadi sangat efektif. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari kepuasan wajib pajak setelah mendapatkan pendampingan oleh relawan pajak. Wajib Pajak puas atas pendampingan relawan pajak dikarenakan proses pelaporan SPT Tahunan menjadi lebih mudah, cepat dan para relawan pajak mampu menuntun wajib pajak dalam pengisian SPT-nya. Pendampingan ini membantu mengurangi kesulitan yang dialami Wajib Pajak dalam memahami pengisian SPT secara mandiri. Kepuasan Wajib Pajak diharapkan mampu meningkatkan kepatuhan dalam pelaporan SPT Tahunan. English for Banking subject is offered to the students as an optional subject. This subject is offered to the students in order to anticipate the alumni that will be accepted in the banking related jobs. The aim of this research was to identify the role of English for Banking subject toward students’ readiness in work fields. This research used qulitative method and linear regression analysis with sixteen students as total respondents who are the student of the fourth semester of Language and English Literature Study Program Faculty of Language and Arts UNIMA. The result of this research was the English for Banking has positive influential toward students’ readiness to enter the banking realted job. The subject is suggested to be given in the Language and English Literature Study Program. This shows that the role of English for Banking subject is recommeded as an obligatory subject and not only as an optional subject.Keywords: English for Banking, Role of English
