This study examined the role of trust in lay people’s health behaviors related to the current pandemic. A total of 376 Israelis completed an online questionnaire during the second lockdown. A latent profile analysis was conducted to identify profiles of individuals based on their levels of trust in the various institutions and stakeholders examined in this study. A three-profile solution was deemed most appropriate. The largest profile (N = 178) was characterized by low levels of trust in the government, but high levels of trust in science and one’s primary care provider. Next, was the generally low trust profile (N = 108), characterized by low levels of trust directed towards all stakeholders and institutes. The third profile (N = 79) was characterized by high levels of trust. Results are discussed in relation to the important role of trust in determining people’s response to the current pandemic and the unique features of Israeli society.

Particularly in Creon’s debate with Haemon, and from then on, Sophocles shows distinct aspects of how anger acts on the tyrant’s ability to judge and how this can be related to inextricable familial and political ties. As every modern reading of the play applies a philosophical conceptualization to understand emotions and thus suffer the consequences of a historical gap between interpretative and original vocabularies, this paper argues that the Aristotelian conceptualization of emotions is a relevant philosophical tool to better contextualize Creon’s anger in Sophocles’ Antigone. The essay discusses Creon’s thymetic responses in the face of Haemon’s admonition and Antigone’s oligoria, and offers two examples of Aristotelian readings of Creon’s thymetic akrasia. One of the possible readings considers the specific role of phantasia in Creon’s understanding of reality. This philosophical explanation of a revengeful tyrant reveals important connections between psychology and politics in the government of the city.

Agriculture is one of the main centers as source of livelihood for the people  in west aceh  regency,  this  can  be  seen  from  the  yields  of farmers  which  are increasing  every  year.  However,  the  increase  in yields  is  inversely  proportional  to  the  welfare  of  the  west  aceh farmers,  due to the  influence of price manipulation by middlemen. This   study   aims   to   examine   the   role  and  supervision   of   the government  in protecting the rights of  farmers from middlemen in west Aceh district. The method used in this research is  qualitative with  a  variety  of  secondary  data  analysis   techniques   and  used scientific narrative review data analysis techniques. The results show that discrimination against farmer by middlemen was indeed common in west Aceh. The role of the west Aceh government in overcoming this problem is by providing education, issuing policies on program for providing business capital to farmers. Meanwhile, the supervision that the goverment faces is in the form of a minumun level of public response to policies that have been regulated by the government and a lack of trust from the peasant community in the government.

Monetary crisis in Asia is a condition when the huge inflation takes place in almost all of the Southeast Asia countries. Thailand become pioneer of monetary crisis in Asia. The value of the country's currency in Thailand fell due to the government decision in adopting managed-float exchange policy of Baht currency to the Dollar America. This led the government to take the decision for seeking a help from IMF in order to recover their economic stability. However, this attempt became more complicated as a consequence of IMF regulation. IMF could not provide a solution to recover economic crisis as some of the parties disagree with the financial support by providing loan for Asia countries. The inflation also was one of the reasons behind of IMF incapability to provide solutions tackling this issue. Therefore, this paper has the aim to investigate the role of IMF towards the inflation issue in Thailand in 1997-1998. The method used to collect data is to use Internet based research with data analysis techniques using qualitative descriptive methods. The agricultural sector is important in national economic development, especially as a provider of employment and as the main source of income for rural communities. Development in the agricultural sector requires the support of all stakeholders, the government's limited role in accommodating the needs in this sector then gave birth to a concept of a collaboration called Collaborative Governance. This research was conducted in Bandung Regency, aimed at finding out the implementation of Collaborative Governance, knowing the reach of farmers to the market, knowing the marketing media used and the problems faced by farmers in accessing the market. Data in this study were collected through interviews, then analyzed using qualitative data analysis techniques. The results showed the role of  local government was very dominant and vice versa universities contributed very minimally. The reach of farmers to the market is still very low, only a small proportion of farmers have marketed their products outside the region. In marketing their agricultural products, farmers have started to utilize online media. The government is expected to assist farmers in opening market access through the use of marketing technology or by bringing farmers together with investors.

Abstract This article addresses the questions if and how storytelling in health education can counterbalance the declining willingness to vaccinate. It is argued that stories in health communication can both create problems ánd provide solutions. The problems are illustrated with an analysis of online personal stories of parents who doubt or deny the necessity of vaccinating their children. The analysis shows how these stories put health care providers in the archetypical role of Ruler who deprives parents from their agency. Narrator and reader are put into the archetypical role of Good Mother, implying that not vaccinating is the only possibility to regain agency and be a responsible parent. Responses to these stories by the government and health care providers are typically formulated in terms of factual, statistical information that is usually incapable of convincing vaccine-hesitant and vaccine-rejecting parents. A narrative approach can be a powerful alternative, provided that stories are first listened to before tailored stories are developed and told. These stories can unite different views about the possibilities to act and the consequences thereof, and can transform parents into Heroes protecting not only their own children but also the children of others. Such “story bridging” combines different types of stories in an interactive storytelling model for health education, which does justice to the target groups’ growing need for agency.
