Introduction: Cancer is a very dangerous disease causing a high mortality rate every year. The prevention or reduction of malignant disease required early detection, mainly depending on histological examination as the first step in the diagnosis. Methods: This study was designed to gauge the value of the numbers of histological specimen as an indicator for the level of education to prevent cancer development. Histological specimens of 14670 suspected cases of cancer diseases were histopathologically examined during seven years. Findings: Histopathological examination revealed that 960 patients had a positive result of 38 cancer types, while 13710 patients were clear of any type of cancer. More specimens were received from females, especially in 2014 and the most important organs for diagnosis of cancer, included the gastrointestinal tract (gastro-esophagus, gallbladder, and appendix), skin, lymphoid, and breast.Discussion: Increase the education level about the importance of histopathological examination of any suspected specimens is considered the first step in preventing and controlling the distribution of cancer disease. Some cancer types should receive greater attention in the diagnosis by increased use of the histopathological laboratories.

Having role in gene regulation and silencing, miRNAs have been implicated in development and progression of a number of diseases, including cancer. Herein, I present potential miRNAs associated with BAP1 gene identified using in-silico tools such as TargetScan and Exiqon miRNA Target Prediction. I identified fifteen highly conserved miRNA (hsa-miR-423-5p, hsa-miR-3184-5p, hsa-miR-4319, hsa-miR125b-5p, hsa-miR-125a-5p, hsa-miR-6893-3p, hsa-miR-200b-3p, hsa-miR-200c-3p, hsa-miR-505-3p.1, hsa-miR-429, hsa-miR-370-3p, hsa-miR-125a-5p, hsa-miR-141-3p, hsa-miR-200a-3p, and hsa-miR-429) associated with BAP1 gene. We also predicted the differential regulation of these twelve miRNAs in different cancer types.

The percentage of children with vitamin D deficiency in Poland is alarming. The aim of the study was to assess the knowledge about sources of food and the function of vitamin D, as well as the frequency of its supplementation. A survey was conducted among the parents of children from Central Poland attending primary schools, and a questionnaire containing mainly open-ended questions was used to collect the data. Most mothers knew at least one of the functions of vitamin D in the body but had a low level of knowledge about its dietary sources. Only a small group of respondents supplemented themselves and their children with vitamin D. Statistically significant influences on the level of knowledge about the functions and sources of vitamin D were place of residence (i.e., better knowledge in the countryside) and mothers’ level of education (i.e., the better educated, the greater knowledge). In the case of monthly income level, such impact was observed only in relation to the knowledge of vitamin D functions. Concerning the frequency of supplementation, only maternal level of education had a statistically significant effect (i.e., the higher the education level, the higher the frequency of supplementation). In addition, mothers who were aware of functions of vitamin D and nutritional sources, significantly more frequently supplemented vitamin D.

There are three types of  Tuberculosis (TB) patients at Banyumas Region Hospital, namely negative  pulmonary TB, positive pulmonary TB, and extra pulmonary TB. Types of TB generally caused by age, cae of history, gender, level of education, and domicile. One of the methods that used to find a correlation between types of TB with the affect is regression analysis. This study used multinomial logistic regession analysis because types of TB is categorical and the data is 156 TB’s patients recorded at 2018/2019. The result showed that the level of education be a dominant factor to affect TB. Here, we noted that patients with basic education level have a 5,843 time odds for getting positive pulmonary TB and 2,224 times for getting extra pulmonary TB. The multinomial logistic regression model is then given as probability for getting positive pulmonary TB with factor level of education is greather than negative pulmonary TB and extra pulmonary TB.

: Spreading rapidly in recent years, cancer has become the cause of one of the highest mortality rates after cardiovascular diseases. The reason for cancer development is still not clearly understood despite enormous research activities in this area. Scientists are now working on the biology of cancer, especially on the root cause of cancer development. The aim is to treat the cancer disease, and thus cure the patients. The continuing efforts on the development of novel molecules as potential anti-cancer agents are essential for this purpose. The main aim of this review was to present a survey on the medicinal chemistry of thioethers and to provide practical data on their cytotoxicities against various cancer cell lines. The research articles published between 2001-2020 were consulted in the preparation of this review article, though patent literature was not included here. The thioether-containing heterocyclic compounds may emerge as a new class of potent and effective anti-cancer agents soon.

The article examines the social factors influence on prosodic manifestation of syntactic and macrosyntactic units. The data collected during suprasegmental analysis of spontaneous speech are used, which are directly related to the syntactic level, namely: the average length of a phrase in words and in syntagmas and the average length of a syntagma in phonetic words, as well as parameters associated with the design of the whole text: the number of composition blocks in the text, their length in phrases, the length of the whole text in phrases and words. The results of statistical modeling of the influence of the factors "age", "type of education", "level of education" and "gender" clearly indicate that the factors "type of education" and "gender" significantly influence the variation of syntactic and macrosyntactic parameters of an oral text. The factor "type of education" significantly affects the number of phrases in the text and the length of the text block in phrases – both parameters are significantly higher for the speakers who specialize in Humanities compared to those who specialize in Sciences. The length of the syntagma depends on the speaker’ gender – syntagmas produced by male speakers are longer.
