Scientific literacy is very important for students. The purpose of this study is to analyze the student's scientific literacy and conceptual mastery after learning the excretion system using scientific literacy-based practical guidelines. In this study, there was one class consisting of 34 students. Before learning, students do pre-test questions regarding scientific literacy, after completing learning, students work on a post-test questions with the same question and add concept mastery questions. This research used a pre-experiment method with one group pre-test post-test design. The instrument used was a matter of scientific literacy and conceptual mastery questions. The results of this study indicate that the student's scientific literacy after learning the excretion system using science literacy–based practicum guidelines is in the high category with an average value of 70,06. Scientific literacy abilities are based on aspects of competence and aspects of scientific literacy knowledge. Then overall the students have mastered the conceptual mastery of the material that has been studied well.

<p class="apa">Sport science undergraduate education, one of which purposes is to produce an analyst in sport. However, generally analytical thinking skills of sport science’s students is still relatively very low in the context of sport. This study aimed to describe the effectiveness of Physics Learning Model in Sport Context, Context Based Learning (CBL) model. The effectiveness of CBL model was described based on the data of increasing analytical thinking skills of sports science’s students. This research used experimental design of pre-test and post-test design with replication. The results showed that the CBL model was able to improve the analytical thinking skills of sport science’s students with N-gain of 0.78 in high category increase. Statistical paired t-tests also informed that the model can significantly improve analytical thinking skills of sport science’s students at the level of significance as much as α = 0.05. Based on the improvement of students’ analytical thinking skills, it can be concluded the CBL model was effective.</p>

ABSTRACT Background : Dysmenorrhea stiffness in the lower abdomen that occurs before or during menstruation, usually dysminorrhea occurs in 2-3 days. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of giving tamarind turmeric as a dysmenorrhea therapy to reduce pain in young women at M.T Nurul Ikhwan. The design of this study used the Quasy Experiment method with the One group pre-post test design. The total sample size of 23 respondents was obtained by purposive sampling method. The analysis used to determine the effect of giving tamarind turmeric drink on reducing the level of menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea) using the Wilcoxon test. Sign Rank Test. The results of bivariate known Asymp.Sig. (2-tailed) is worth 0.000. Because the value of 0.000 is less than <0.05, it can be concluded that "Ha is accepted". This means that there is a difference in dysmenorrhea pain for the pre test and post test. So it can be concluded that there is an effect of giving tamarind turmeric to reduce desminore pain in adolescents at M.T Nurul Ikhwan. The conclusion of this study is that there is a difference between the pretest and posttest in the changes in dysmenorrhea pain in adolescent girls. Based on this study, it is recommended for adolescents to drink 100cc / day of tamarind turmeric during menstruation as an alternative to reduce dysmenorrhea pain.ABSTRAK menjelang atau selama menstruasi, biasanya disminore terjadi pada 2-3 hari. Tujuan Penelitian: untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian minuman kunyit asam sebagai terapi dismenore terhadap penurunan nyeri pada remaja putri di M.T Nurul Ikhwan. Metodologi: Desain penelitian ini menggunakan metode Quasy Eksperimen dengan rancangan One grup pre-post test design Jumlah sampel sebanyak 23 reponden didapatkan dengan metode purposive sampling.. Analisis yang digunakan untuk mengetahui adanya pengaruh pemberian minuman kunyit asam terhadap penurunan tingkat nyeri menstruasi (dysmenorrhea) menggunakan Uji Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test. Hasil penelitian: Hasil analisa bivariat diketahui Asymp.Sig. (2-tailed) bernilai 0,000. Karena nilai 0,000 lebih kecil dari <0,05, maka dapat disimpulkan “Ha diterima”. Artinya ada perbedaan nyeri dismenore untuk pre test dan post test. Kesimpulan: Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh pemberian kunyit asam untuk mengurangi nyeri desminore pada remaja di M.T Nurul Ikhwan. Kesimpulan Penelitian ini adalah ada perbedaan antara pretest dan post test dalam perubahan nyeri dismenore pada remaja putri. Berdasarkan penelitian ini disarankan kepada remaja untuk meminum kunyit asam 100cc/ hari saat menstruasi sebagai salah satu alternatif penurunan nyeri dismenore.

One of the important branches of science on an international scale is scientific literacy. This study aimed to increase the science literacy knowledge of elementary school students on the material of the solar system. This study uses the ADDIE type Research and Development (R&D) method, starting from analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Expert testing of a learning product was carried out by users of the Planetarium Glass application, namely grade VI students of SDN Patengteng 2. The results of this media trial on 22 respondents showed 80% effectiveness. This research instrument uses an online questionnaire to users to determine the effectiveness of this learning media. The final result of the Planetarium Glass application media based on augmented reality is an application format that can be used by utilizing an android-based smartphone. This media provides information about the material of the solar system in the form of 3D virtual animation (3 dimensions) accompanied by an explanation of each object in audio form and is equipped with an application usage module. This media is designed to facilitate students' understanding in understanding the material of the solar system effectively and efficiently because students can see directly the material conveyed via the smartphone they use. Learning using the Planetarium Glass application can be used as an alternative learning media in increasing science literacy knowledge of elementary school students, especially in Madura.

The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was influence of macromedia flash distribution media on learning outcomes in biology in circulatory system material in humans. The research method used is qualitative with the type of experimental research used, namely True experimental with the Control Group's pre-post test Design research design. In this study using two research samples, which were divided into control classes and experimental classes with a sample of 47 students. The results of the research show that there is an influence of macromedia flash learning media on student learning outcomes with the average value in the experimental class is the value of pretest 63.5 while the posttest value is 84.3.

This was a descriptive research. The sample was taken by using a purposive sampling technique. The data were collected by using valid and reliable scientific literacy questions and were supported by interviews. The data were analyzed by calculating the average value of the scientific literacy test results. The validity of the data used triangulation technique. The results showed that the scientific literacy results of the students grade VII based on the total score, aspects of science competence, science knowledge and science context showed that the students grade VII of SMPN 7 Pariaman got the highest average score, followed by the students grade VII of SMPN 2 Pariaman and SMPN 6 Pariaman with low category.

The research aimed at determining the significant effect of implemented Picture Word Inductive Model (PWIM) in developing students’ communicative competence in SMK Islam Wijaya Kusuma Jakarta. The students’ communicative competence was measured quantitatively by conducting the experiment method. There were 47 of the eleventh-grade students as samples chosen randomly by using purposive sampling technique. The data were performed by using the test instrument with two groups on post-test design; one group became the experiment class and the other group became the control class. The questionnaire was assigned to students at the end of the lesson. The post-poster cycle assessment was given as a basis of measurement in analyzing students’ communicative competence. The data were analyzed by using t-test two tailed formula to find out the significant difference of each class of the sample (simple effect). Findings have shown that there is a significant effect of using PWIM to students’ communicative competence which is reflected from the enhancement of students’ comprehension toward the pronunciation, fluency, grammar, vocabulary as well as the increase of their motivation and creativity experiencing thelearning process more communicatively.

Learning science requires students not only to remember the subject matter but also to develop science literacy. One of the ways to develop science literacy competencies is by applying performance assessment in project-based learning that utilizes local potential. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of performance assessment in local-potential-based learning on environmental pollution subject matter. The research was carried out using a quasi-experimental method with a pre- and post-test design. The sample for the research is 7th grade students in Pontianak, and the data collection tool is an observation sheet using a science literacy rubric test. The research results show that performance assessment of project-based learning utilizing local potential can increase students’ science literacy.

This study purposed to produce a teaching materials with hypothetical deductive learning cycle model in the material acid solution decent base to improve the mastery of concepts. Development of the teaching materials using the Research & Development (R & D). The teaching materials developed consisting of lesson plan, student’s book, worksheets and test of concept mastery. The teaching materials were tested to the students of class XI SMA Muhammadiyah 5 Gresik in the first semester of the academic year 2015/2016. The design of trials using One Group Pre-test and Post-test Design. The results showed that (1) The validity of the teaching materials respectively acquire the criteria very valid; (2) Practicality teaching materials seen from feasibility study learning implementation lesson plan got practice criteria with an average of 3.48, legibility student’s book scored an average legibility level of 58% so that the legibility level appropriate teaching materials, student activity increased toward centered learning on students; and (3) the effectiveness of the teaching materials that consists of responses students received a positive response from the students so that students feel interested in learning process using hypothetical deductive learning cycle model, score improvement of students' concepts mastery, the average value of n-gain by 0.71 by category high. Based on the analysis of data and discussion is concluded that the learning device with hypothetical deductive learning cycle model feasible for use in learning process. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran dengan model siklus belajar hipotetik deduktif pada materi larutan asam basa yang layak untuk meningkatkan penguasaan konsep. Pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran ini menggunakan model Research &Development (R&D). Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan terdiri dari RPP, BAS, LKS, dan tes penguasaan konsep. Perangkat pembelajaran di uji cobakan terhadap siswa kelas XI SMA Muhammadiyah 5 Gresik pada semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2015/2016. Rancangan uji coba menggunakan One Group Pre-test and Post-test Design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Validitas perangkat pembelajaran masing-masing memperoleh kriteria sangat valid/valid; (2) Kepraktisan perangkat pembelajaran dilihat dari keterlaksanaan RPP mendapat kriteria baik dengan rata-rata 3,48, keterbacaan BAS mendapat nilai rata-rata tingkat keterbacaan sebesar 58% sehingga tingkat keterbacaannya materi tepat untuk pembelajaran, aktivitas siswa mengalami peningkatan ke arah pembelajaran yang berpusat pada siswa; dan (3) keefektifan perangkat pembelajaran yang terdiri dari respon siswa mendapat respon positif dari siswa sehingga siswa merasa tertarik pada proses pembelajaran menggunakan model siklus belajar hipotetik deduktif, skor peningkatan penguasaan konsep siswa, rata-rata nilai  n-gain sebesar 0,71 dengan kategori sedang. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dan pembahasan diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran dengan model siklus belajar hipotetik deduktif layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran

Hypertension is an increase in persistent blood pressure which can be at risk for cardiovascular diseases. An uncontrolled increase in blood pressure can cause damage to the, heart and blood vessels. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of deep breathing therapy on blood pressure in hypertension patients in the work area of Wara Health Centre. The research design used Quasi Experiment, one group pre-test and post-test design, to 22 respondents selected by accidental sampling. Respondent's blood pressure was measured (pre-test), then breathing therapy was carried out for 15 minutes, then the respondent's blood pressure was measured (post-test). This intervention was carried out for three consecutive days for each respondent. The results indicated the average value of systolic blood pressure before deep breathing therapy get the probability value of 0.000 showing 0.000 <0.05 and the average value of diastolic blood pressure before deep breathing therapy get the probability value of 0.000 showing 0.000 <0.05. It can be concluded that there is an effect of deep breath therapy on blood pressure in hypertensive patients in the working area of Puskesmas Wara. It is recommended to apply breath therapy in the treatment of hypertensive patients, carry out training for health workers, cadres, and also families, so that this therapy can be carried out independently by patients at home.

This study was conducted to improve speaking skill of the first grade at SMP N 1 Pangkalan. The game was proposed in the teaching of speaking, because that is attracting and interesting, especially for students' speaking skill. The improvement of the students' score can be seen in the increased of the students' speaking from the preliminary study (pre-test) and the score after the implementation (post-test) of the teaching speaking using shake chopsticks game. This research used a pre-experiment method by using one group pre-test and post-test design. The subject of this research were VII students of SMP N 1 Pangkalan of the 2017/2018 academic years. The finding showed that the students' score of speaking increased after being taught by using shake chopsticks game. This indicates that the use of shake chopsticks game is effective in improving students’ speaking ability.  Keywords:  Speaking skill, game, shake chopticks game
