The pandemic period causes all systems in life to change a lot, one of which is education. Online learning is a solution to the difficulty of offline learning in schools. This study examines academic stress during online learning among first-year Muslim students in Indonesia. This study's participants were 731 first-year Muslim students who had never done offline learning at the target campus. Data collection used the academic stress scale from Lin & Chen (2009) with seven stress sources. The results showed teachers' stress, stress results, stress tests, studying in groups stress, peer stress, time management stress, and self-inflicted stress were at moderate and high levels. Meanwhile, the highest percentage of academic stress factors was obtained from teachers' stress. We also present a detailed examination of demographic data by cross-tabulating and discussing these findings' theoretical and practical implications.

Microbial preparations improve mineral nutrition of plants, protect against phytopathogens, and increase their resistance to stress factors. The aim of our research is to study the effect of microbial preparations on the biological activity of rhizosphere and the productivity of oil flax under no-till in the Crimean Steppe. Microbiological analysis of the rhizosphere of oil flax showed that there is a tendency to increase the number of microorganisms of various ecological and trophic groups both under the conditions of the conventional farming system (CFS) and no-till when seeds are inoculated with a complex of microbial preparations (CMP). Under CFS, the number of microorganisms using mineral forms of nitrogen as nutrition increased by 28 %; pedotrophs – by 37 %; ammonifiers and oligotrophs increased under both farming systems. The total number of nitrogen fixers increased by 29 % under CFS as a result of biological preparations use, while under no-till there was only a trend towards increasing the amount of azotobacter. The number of actinomycetes increased under the influence of CMP by 50% under direct sowing; micromycetes decreased under both farming systems. The number of cellulose-degrading microorganisms increased by 18 and 27 % under no- till and CFS, respectively. The yield of oilseed flax under no-till was 0.11 t/ha (12.9 %) higher than under conventional farming system. On average, over three years (2017-2019), an increase in yield amounted to 0.12 t/ha (19%) due to the use of microbial preparations.

Aim. The paper aims to develop food products that contribute to the resistance of active people to stress factors, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Materials and methods. The cohort study was conducted in three parallel groups of volunteers aged from 20 to 40 years (n = 45) who were consistently involved in sports (low-intensity training at least 3 times a week). As food products with stress-protective activity, freeze-dried taxifolin nanoemulsion and whole-wheat flour from wheatgrass were used. As mental and informational stress, media coverage of global and Russian COVID-2019 dynamics was used. To assess the impact of the developed products on stress resistance, a study of health and psychoemotional status (the SF-36 questionnaire) and biochemical blood analysis (leukocyte formula and cortisol) were carried out. Results. The results demonstrated the possibility of using stress-protective food products such as freeze-dried taxifolin nanoemulsion and whole-wheat flour from wheatgrass for improving immunity. The assessment of the psychoemotional status revealed an equally positive effect from the inclusion of taxifolin nanoemulsion and whole-wheat flour from wheatgrass in the composition of food products. Biochemical blood analysis and leukocyte indices revealed a greater positive effect of taxifolin nanoemulsion on the human body, while regular consumption of whole-wheat flour-based products from wheatgrass reduces blood cortisol and increases the body's resistance to stress factors. Conclusion. People involved in low-intensity sports are recommended to consume foods enriched with taxifolin nanoemulsion and whole-wheat flour from wheatgrass to improve their psychoemotional status and resistance to stress factors such as the COVID-19 pandemic.

Purpose - the aim of this article is to present the results of a statistical analysis of the relationship between the features of emotional burnout and indicators of emotional intelligence among medical workers. Material and methods - 4 groups of respondents (110 medical workers) took part in the study: surgical doctors, therapeutic doctors, surgical nurses, therapeutic nurses. Evaluation of the features of emotional burnout and emotional intelligence was carried out using diagnostic methods of emotional burnout (V.Boyko), the questionnaire of emotional burnout by K. Maslach and S. Jackson (adaptation by N. Vodopyanova) and the method of emotional intelligence (N. Hall). The study consisted of two stages. The purpose of the first stage was to determine the level and characteristics of the manifestation of emotional burnout of medical workers according to the following symptoms: (emotional exhaustion; depersonalization; reduction of personal achievements; "stress" (experiencing traumatic circumstances, dissatisfaction with oneself, caged, anxiety and depression); "resistance" (inadequate selective emotional response, emotional and moral disorientation, expansion of the sphere of saving emotions, reduction of professional duties); "exhaustion" (emotional deficit, emotional detachment, psychosomatic and psychovegetative disorders). The level of manifestation of emotional intelligence of medical workers was also assessed according to the following indicators: emotional awareness, emotion management, self-motivation, empathy, recognition of other people's emotions The second stage of the study was aimed at determining the characteristics of the relationship of individual indicators of emotional benefit screaming with specific indicators of the emotional intelligence of health care workers. Mathematical processing of the research results was carried out using Spearman's correlation coefficient by means of the SPSS 17 computer program. Results and discussion. The results of our research have shown that: 1) the overwhelming majority of the test subjects have high and medium levels of reduction of personal achievements, and such a phase of emotional burnout as resistance” (inadequate selective emotional response, emotional and moral disorientation, expansion of the sphere of economy of emotions, reduction of professional duties); 2) half of respondents have high and medium levels of emotional exhaustion, depersonalization; 3) a quarter of the respondents formed such a phase of emotional burnout as “exhaustion” (emotional deficit, emotional and personal detachment, psychosomatic and psychovegetative disorders). The following levels of development of emotional intelligence were revealed in different groups of medical workers: a) high and medium - among doctors of a surgical profile and doctors of a therapeutic profile; medium - for surgical nurses; low - for therapeutic nurses. Conclusion. Medical workers with high and medium levels of emotional intelligence have a low level of manifestation of symptoms of emotional burnout (dissatisfaction with oneself; feelings of being caged; anxiety and depression; reduction of professional duties; emotional deficit; personal detachment; psychosomatic and psychovegetative disorders), as well as a low level of development phases of tension, resistance, exhaustion, depersonalization and reduction of personal achievements.

During the severe phase of the pandemic, COVID-19 emergency workers were engaged in long and numerous shifts of duty, resulting in exposure to various stress factors. A high stress level is associated with risk of burnout. Resilience and personal accomplishment can effectively help mitigate and reduce emergency stress levels and emotional exhaustion. The main aim of this study was to analyze the relationship of emergency stress and hardiness with burnout among emergency workers. The participants included 494 emergency volunteers from the Red Cross Committee in Veneto, Italy, engaged in various health, emergency, and social activities aimed at COVID-19 patients and people at risk of contracting the virus. Questionnaires used to measure emergency stress, hardiness and burnout were administered on an online platform. We analyzed the influence of age, sex, weekly hours of service, stress risk factors, and use of personal protective equipment. To verify the predictive effects of risk and protective factors on burnout, correlational and multivariate analyses, and regressions were conducted. Hardiness showed an effect in reducing emergency stress levels, emotional exhaustion, and depersonalization and simultaneously increased personal accomplishment.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to examine the effects of external locus of control on different job characteristic variables – i.e. role conflict, role ambiguity and emotional exhaustion, in addition to the outcome variable, job satisfaction – in a business-to-business sales setting. Design/methodology/approach – Data from B2B salespeople were used to test the proposed model using structural equation modeling. Findings – The results indicate that a more external locus of control will be: positively related to role stress factors; indirectly and positively related to emotional exhaustion; and negatively related to job satisfaction. Originality/value – This study provides a managerially actionable foundation for influencing locus of control to increase a salesperson's satisfaction with his/her position.

In spite of evidence that more and more students are engaging in online learning experiences, details about the transition for teachers and students to a new learning environment are still unconfirmed. While new technologies are often expected to make work easier, they also involve the development of new competencies. This change may, in itself, elicit an emotional response, and, more importantly, emotion may impact the experience of online learning. Knowledge about the impact of emotion on learning broadly is available, but not about emotion and online learning. This study presents evidence of emotions present in online environments, and empirical data which suggests emotional presence may exist as a fundamental element in an online community of inquiry.
