Coffee beverage consumption has become more important in the recent years and has touched the lifestyles of the old and young people. The research of coffee consumption, especially in relation to the lifestyles of the people, therefore needs to be intensified. The purpose of this study was to compare the contribution of regulation and lifestyle in determining coffee drink consumption among old and young consumers. The theory adopted was the SOR (stimulus-organism-response) theory and the AISAS (attention-interest-search-action-share) model approach. Data were collected online in April-May 2020, and obtained 413 valid respondent data, which consist of 207 old respondents and 206 young respondents. The results showed that the lifestyle variable had positive effects on attitude and search behavior of both young and old generations. The lifestyle variable also had significant effects on coffee consumption for both generations. The regulation variable had positive effects on attitude and action of young coffee consumers, but it had no effect on attitude, search and action of old consumers. The research suggests that, to increase coffee consumption, better regulation approach should consider the age of the consumer. Especially, more attention should be paid for the regulation on coffee marketing for older generation.

Abstract Do I see or not? A study on the impact of placement on program consumption in an on-demand environment The European Union (2018) stipulates that Member States can implement rules to ensure the findability and visibility of local content in video- on- demand environments. Indeed, several countries are concerned that their own audiovisual programs or journalistic products will be consumed less in such environments. It is argued that, in such environments, media users completely decide themselves about their consumption agency, but such statements are also contested. In this research we analyze the impact of placement on the consumption of audiovisual programs in the video-on-demand environments of the Flemish broadcasters VRT and DPG. From experimental research we conclude that there is indeed a significant impact of placement on consumption behavior and that, in other words, manipulations by intermediary gatekeepers can have potentially negative and positive effects on the consumption of local content. Government regulation would therefore be a useful tool to safeguard the importance of proximity of content.

One way to finance government expenditures is to collect taxes. Regarding to this financial source compared with other sources positive tax knowledge sharing amongst people or tax payers lead to effective investment. Unlike developing countries in developed countries - that taxes have little effects - almost all government expenditures is financed by taxes. One of the main challenges in the tax system is how to collect taxes due to tax evasion. The main reason is the uncertainty surrounding how government uses the taxes paid by the people. A major factor in the outbreak of the sense of failure to pay taxes, is the discussion and sharing the viewpoint of each other. If there is any positive tax effect prevalence of speech among people motivate them to pay more and if not, paying taxes is impaired. Therefore in order to avoid disorderliness in paying taxes that lead to a reduction in the development growth rate of investing taxes in industry and services sectors procedures should be designed so that taxes spread in speech with more quality. In this article five categories that people share their knowledge about them with each other, have been proposed. Defining risk structure and using data from surveying form the risk values of tax payment the results indicate that sharing tax knowledge amongst people have positive effects on tax payments.

How can the presence of industrial parks affect the welfare of the people in the districts/city within which they operate? While studies about the socio-political and economic consequences of industrial parks abound in the academic world, industrial parks are still understudied in Indonesia. the paper is a preliminary observation on the relationship between the presence of industrial parks and the welfare conditions of the people in the districts. Using two measures of welfare, human development index and household spending, we find that the presence of industrial parks has some positive effects on these two measures. The two models of the bivariate relationships show that the relationships are statistically significant. Nevertheless, the study still suffers from some weaknesses that future studies can improve.

Artificial Christmas trees have gained an increasing market share, causing concern to natural Christmas tree producers. Primary data was used to test a hypothesized sequential probit model of buyer characteristics. The model predicted the probability of using or displaying a Christmas tree, then if a use decision was made, the probability of displaying a natural tree. The people who are likely to display trees are Christian, practice other secular Christmas rituals, have children, and spend Christmas at home. Those who use natural trees are younger, white, have a higher income, and live in a single-family dwelling.

Internet and its accessible devices (e.g., mobiles, computers) are the unmitigated blessings to the people. Nowadays, internet connectivity almost eliminates all kinds of blockades for the verification of authentication, comparison of prices, and services for a product. Consequently, the market has been becoming more competitive compared to decision making.  In this paper, we construct a multi-channel supply chain (MCSC) frameworks with traditional channels as well as a direct channel (DC), where the manufacturer provides services to the customers for both the cases. Then the optimal decisions of the manufacturer and the retailers are examined. The optimal pricing decisions and services are discussed and also compared the profits with one another under various cases (Stackelberg Settings, Strategic Alliance, and two types of NO Improved Service). Then the sensitivity of the service cost coefficients and the cross-channel price coefficients on the profits for each player and the supply chain is analyzed. We find out the best profitable strategies under the parameters such as service costs and the positive effects of the service on the demand rate. We also mark out the optimum level of the services so that the profit will be maximized for each player. Finally, we define an interval such that if the service costs belong to that interval, then the selling price of the DC would be lesser than the wholesale price. These findings help companies such as automobiles, electronic goods, etc. to implement the best strategies to increase their profit.

BACKGROUND: Historically, every century has a remarkable event for which it is known. These events, apart from giving a peculiar identity to a century, influences the religious, political, and socio-economic lives of the people. Apparently, the underlying element in the plurality of the world-views of the people of a century is the peculiar events of their time. In this light, the 21st century is identical with globalization. METHODOLOGY: The study used a qualitative design. The methods used were historical, expository, and critical. The historical method was used to trace some centuries before the 21st century to examine their various understandings and approaches to the concept of humanity. The expository method was used to dissect the various anchors of humanity to see the relevance of a redefinition of humanity in the modern times. Finally, the critical method was used to access the 21st century humans to know the expediency for a paradigm shift on the concept of humanity in the modern times. RESULT: This paper argues that aside the positive effects of globalization, there is an urgent need to redefine the meaning of humanity that is already defaced by its inherent activities. CONCLUSION: This research recommends that an ethical redress in the understanding of humanity in the face of today’s globalization is expedient to promote reverence for human lives. This will help to avoid the collapse of this century into a game of exploitation of each other, the dead end of narcissism and invariably the dark age of a modern time.
