There are still many reproductive health problems in Indonesia which require attention from all parties. The reproductive health problems are caused by the lack of knowledge, comprehension and low responsibility among adolescents along with the limited access to the information of reproductive organs and functions. Therefore, personal hygiene in term of proper treatment for the reproductive organs is needed to decrease the problem of infectious diseases on reproductive organs. This study was conducted to examine the effect of personal reference, thought and feeling with behavioral treatments of reproductive organs among female students at X Islamic Boarding School, Jombang. This study employed observational design since the data collection was obtained without treatment of the sample as well as using cross sectional study design to the 45 respondents. The respondents were drawn from a population based on the simple random sampling method. The results of logistic regression test indicated that the factors which infl uence behavioral treatments on reproductive organs among female students are the respondents knowledge (p = 0,029; OR = 0,165), attitude (p = 0,009; OR = 0,113) and personal reference (p = 0,049; OR = 0,199). The personal reference was the most infl uent factor among female students in conducting behavioral treatment of their reproductive organs at X Islamic Boarding School, Jombang.Keywords: female students, Islamic boarding school, personal reference, reproductive health, thoughtand feeling.

Informatio relates to reproductive health from parents and schools is not enough. It was obtaind that teenagers has lack knowledge of reproductive health about personal hygiene. A preliminary study of 10 teenage girls found that 6 teenage girls had less personal hygiene measures. The purpose of the study was to analyze the relationship between knowledge about reproductive organs treatment with personal hygiene actions in teenagers in SMP 2 Socah. The method used in this study was analytical with cross sectional approach. The population was 32 girls and the sample was 30 girls in class VII and VIII in SMP 2 Socah. The sampling technique used is Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling. The independent variable knowledge of reproductive organ care, and the dependent variable of personal hygiene action. The research instrument used questionnaire, then tested with Pearson statistical test with α = 0,05. The results showed that girls of grade VII and VIII mostly had sufficient knowledge about reproductive organ care (53%), while half of the girls were taking enough and less hygiene action (50%). Pearson statistical test results obtained ρ value 0.001 <α 0.05 means Ho rejected there was a relationship between knowledge about reproductive organs treatment and personal hygiene actions teenagers in SMP 2 Socah. Efforts are used to improve knowledge about reproductive organ care by giving counseling as well as expected teenagers add information about reproduction organ care by accessing information from various source in order to prevent the happening of problem at reproduction organ

Action of personal hygiene is one of the efforts that can be done to maintain health in Islamic boarding school environment. In the implementation there are many female students who ignore it by exchanged personal items. This research purposed to determine association knowledge and attitude as predisposing factors, towards action of personal hygiene female students which supported by infrastructure and facilities of boarding school as enabling factor, and hygiene regulation as reinforcing factor in X Jombang Islamic boarding school. This research was an analytical study with cross sectional design. The population was 90 female students then obtained 48 female students as sampling by used simple random sampling. Independent variables studied included knowledge and attitudes about personal hygiene. While the dependent variable studied the action of personal hygiene female students. Instruments used a questionnaire. Data analysis techniques performed by using the chi square test to see whether or not an association between knowledge and attitude with action of personal hygiene. Variables studied and have a relationship with action of personal hygiene female students if fulfi ll the requirement p <0.05. From the statistic test show that knowledge has any association with action of personal hygiene female students with p = 0.000 (p < 0.05) and coffi cient contingensy at 0.593. So the conclusions of this research is, there was any association between knowledge of personal hygiene with action of personal hygiene female students in X Jombang Islamic boarding school. Infrastructure and facilities was adequate and there was a regulation about hygiene in this boarding school.Keyword: predisposing, enabling, reinforcing, action of personal hygiene

ABSTRAKRemaja putri yang sudah matang alat reproduksinya maupun hormon – hormon dalam tubuhnya akan mengalami menstruasi. Masalah fisik yang mungkin akan timbul dari perubahan perilaku remaja salah satunya terjadinya infeksi saluran kemih (ISK). Selain itu kesulitan lain yang timbul adalah proses perawatan diri yaitu pemenuhan diri saat menarche. Tujuan penelitia ini untuk mengetahui hubungan pengetahuan tentang menstruasi dengan perilaku personal hyegiene saat menstruasi pada remaja putri kelas VII di SMP Muhammadiyah 9 Bojonegoro. Desain penelitian menggunakan analitik observasional dengan desain cross sectional. Responden dalampenelitian ini adalah remaja putri keas VII SMP Muhammadiyah 9 Bojonegoro sebanyak 24 siswi. Analisis yang digunakan menggunakan uji Spearman Rho. Hasil Penelitian : Pengetahuan remaja putri tentang menstruasi dengan kategori baik sebanyak 6 siswi (25,0%), cukup sebanyak 10 siswi (41,7%), kurang sebanyak 8 siswi (33,3%), sedangkan perilaku personal hyegiene tentang menstruasi dengan kategori baik sebanyak 10 siswi (41,7%) dan cukup sebanyak 14 siswi (58,3%). Hasil uji Spearman Rho didapatkan nilai p value = 0,671. Kesimpulan : Tidak ada hubungan pengetahuan tentang menstruasi dengan perilaku persona hyegiene saat menstruasi karena perilaku personal hyegiene saat mentruasi berdasarkan petunjuk dari orang tua tanpa mengetahui dasar atau landasan perilaku personal hyegiene tersebut harus dilakukan Kata Kunci : Pengetahuan, Perilaku, Menstruasi, Personal Hyegiene, Remaja Putri   ABSTRACTAdolescent girls who are already mature reproductive organs and hormones - hormones in the body will menstruate. Physical problems that might arise from changes in the behavior of adolescents one occurrence of urinary tract infection (UTI). In addition another difficulty that arises is that the process of self-care self-fulfillment at menarche. Objective research to determine the relationship of knowledge about menstruation with hyegiene personal behavior during menstruation in young girls in class VII SMP Muhammadiyah 9 Bojonegoro. The study design using analytical observational with cross sectional design. Respondents in research are young women keas VII SMP Muhammadiyah 9 Bojonegoro as many as 24 students. The analysis using Spearman Rho test. Results: Knowledge girls about menstruation with both categories as 6 female students (25.0%), just as many as 10 students (41.7%), less as 8 female students (33.3%), while the personal conduct hyegiene about menstruation both categories as many as 10 students (41.7%) and quite as many as 14 students (58.3%). Spearman Rho test results obtained p value = 0.671. Conclusion: There is no correlation between knowledge about menstruation with hyegiene persona behavior during menstruation because of personal behavior hyegiene when menstruation based on instructions from parents without knowing the basis or foundation of personal behavior must be done hyegiene Keywords: Awareness, Behavior, Menstruation, Personal Hyegiene, Young Women

Background: Islamic boarding school dormitory has a high population density. This has resulted in high-potential of Islamic boarding schools in transmitting Pediculosis. All age groups can suffer from this disease, but children are more susceptible to the condition.Objective: The aims of this study was to analyze the relationship between the level of knowledge, personal hygiene, and characteristics of female students towards the presence of Pediculus humanus var. capitis in Islamic Boarding School An-Nahdliyah, Malang Regency.Methods: This research was quantitative research method, used observational analytic research with cross sectional design. The research sampe was 48 female students living in the dormitory, taken by simple random sampling. Data found at the time of the study was collected through questionnaires, observations, and laboratory tests. Determination of the type of flea species was tested at the Parasitology Laboratory, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Airlangga University. The sample in this study amounted to 48 female students living in dormitory of Islamic Boarding School An-Nahdliyah Malang Regency. This study has been declared to meet the ethical eligibility of the Medical Research Ethics Commission of the Faculty of Dentistry, Airlangga University with certificate number 161/ HRECC.FODM/ IV/ 2019.Result: The results showed that more than half of the sample (31 respondents) experienced Pediculus humanus var. capitis infestation. The results of this study indicate that there is no relationship between the level of education (p = 0,393), knowledge (p=0,55), length of stay (p=0,181), and hair type (p=0,464) on the existence of Pediculus humanus var. capitis. Though there is a relationship between personal hygiene (p = 0,001), age (p = 0,035), and hair length (p = 0,021).Conclusion: The conclusion of this study is personal hygiene, age, and hair length have a significant relationship to the Pediculus humanus var. capitis. Female students who experience Pediculus humanus var. capitis infestations can suffer from itching on the scalp as well as scalp irritation. It is  recommended to improve female students’ personal hygiene by routine shampooing three times a week, and using personal sleeping mats.

Sekolah berbasis agama dan boarding semakin banyak di Indonesia dan pengetahuan tentang personal hygiene terutama saat menstruasi penting untuk mencegah berbagai masalah kesehatan reproduksi yang dapat terjadi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui perbedaan tingkat pengetahuan tentang personal hygiene saat menstruasi antara siswi pesantren dan sekolah negeri. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian analitik observasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Penelitian dilakukan di Pondok Pesantren Tarbiyatul Banin Kabupaten Cirebon dan SMP Negeri 1 Talun Kabupaten Cirebon pada bulan Mei 2018. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswi dari sekolah terkait yang sudah mengalami menstruasi. Responden pada penelitian ini dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling sebanyak 95 orang dari tiap-tiap sekolah. Analisis data dilakukan dengan software Epi Info dengan uji Fisher-exact. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat pengetahuan baik didapatkan pada 96% siswa SMP Negeri, sementara pada siswi Pondok pesantren sebanyak 86%. Dari hasil uji statistik didapatkan perbedaan bermakna antara tingkat pengetahuan siswi pondok pesantren dan siswi SMP Negeri (p<0,05). Terdapat perbedaan yang bermakna mengenai tingkat pengetahuan yang baik pada siswi SMP Negeri dibanding dengan siswi pesantren. Perlu promosi/edukasi kesehatan kepada siswi pesantren agar tingkat pengetahuan mereka tentang personal hygiene saat menstruasi dapat setara dengan siswi SMP Negeri. COMPARISON OF KNOWLEDGE ABOUT MENSTRUAL HYGIENE BETWEEN  FEMALE STUDENTS IN BOARDING SCHOOL AND REGULAR JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL IN KABUPATEN CIREBONReligious and boarding schools are becoming increasingly common in Indonesia, and knowledge of personal hygiene especially during menstruation is important to prevent reproductive health problems that may occur. The purpose of this study was to know the difference on the level of knowledge about personal hygiene during menstruation between students at private boarding school and government schools. This research is an observational analytic study with cross sectional approach. The research had been conducted at Pondok Pesantren Tarbiyatul Banin, Cirebon district and Junior High School 1 Talun, Cirebon District on May 2018. The population of this study were all female students from related schools who have had experienced of menarche. Respondents in this study were selected by purposive sampling technique 95 people from each school. Data analysis was done with Epi Info software and analyzed by Fisher-exact test. The results showed that good knowledge level was obtained in 86% of private boarding school students, while in government   school students was 96%. There was a significant difference on the level of good knowledge about personal hygiene during menstruation between government junior junior high school students compared to private boarding school students (p<0,05). It is needed to encourage  promotion of health education especially on the knowledge of personal hygiene during menstruation.

Introduction: Teen problems are conditions that need to be considered in national development in Indonesia. Teenagers problems occur, because they are not prepared regarding knowledge of aspects related to the problem of transition from childhood to adulthood. One of the problems faced by teenagers today is about the health of adolescents, especially related to reproductive health. Methods: This study uses a quantitative approach pre experiment with pre - post test design, the purpose of research, construction of models of healthy reproductive learning through peer groups in traditional schools and analyze the application of learning through peer group against knowledge female students  about reproductive health. The sample was female students in Boarding school Miftahul Hasan Gunung Sepikul amounted to 50 female students, with purposive sampling technique. Results of analysis using Spearman's rho test ,P value of 0.00 obtained value where the value is < less than 0.05 so it can be concluded that there is a learning effect of reproductive health through peer groups for knowledge  female students . Discuss: Boarding schools need to provide curriculum on reproductive health in order to improve the understanding of female students in healthy living behavior associated with reproductive organs.

During menstruation blood vessels in the uterus are very easily infected because germs easily enter and cause diseases of the reproductive tract. Some of the most common disorders are vaginal discharge and pruritus vulvae (vaginal itching). However, this complaint can be prevented by maintaining the cleanliness of the female organs early on, namely with good menstrual personal hygiene. This study aims to describe the level of personal hygiene knowledge about menstruation. This research is a descriptive study with a cross-sectional approach, with a total sample of 90 people taken by total sampling technique. The results showed that the majority of respondents had enough personal hygiene behavior as many as 82 people (91.1%), while good menstrual personal hygiene behavior was 3 people (3.3%), and respondents who had behaviors classified as less than 5 people ( 5.6%). Based on complaints on reproductive organs, respondents who experienced vaginal discharge were 85 people (94.4%) and itching around the genitals was around 83 people (92.2%).

Background: The role of health students in providing information about reproductive health is very important, especially regarding reproductive health rights for women with disabilities. This is crucial to do because women with disabilities are very vulnerable to violence and discrimination, especially in terms of reproductive health. Objectives: This study aimed to analyze the influence of knowledge and intention toward behavior of female health students in accessing information on reproductive health rights for women with disabilities. Research Methods: This was a quantitative study with a cross-sectional design. This study was conducted at the Midwifery Study Program at Tribhuwana Tunggadewi University Malang in October 2020. The sample size was 50 subjects, selected by simple random sampling technique. The dependent variable is the behavior of health female students in accessing information. The independent variables were knowledge and intention in access to information. Data collection using an online questionnaire. The data analysis technique used multiple linear regression. Results: The behavior of health female students in access to information was influenced by knowledge (b= 0.36, CI 95% = 0.12 to 0.60, p= 0.005), and intention in access to information (b= 0.45, CI 95% = 0.10 to 0.80, p= 0.014). Conclusion: Participants with good knowledge and high intention in access to information affect behavior in accessing information.   Keywords:  health students; reproductive health rights; women with disabilities

This cross sectional study of fifteen days’ duration was conducted among Married women attending in OPD at Dhamrai Dhaka to know Reproductive Health Practice of Married Women in the Rural Community with a sample size of 100 following purposive sampling technique using pretested semi-structured questionnaire by face to face interview method after taking informed consent. Data were analyzed manually and by using computer. Only 39% respondents were found within age group 20-30 years and 33% completed primary education. Majority the of respondents (79%) were married. This study also found that 39% were housewives and majority (56%) had poor monthly income (TK <10,000). Majority (78%) of respondent’s duration of married life less than or equal to 15 years. This study also revealed that (72%) respondents were found having their first issue less than or equal to 25 years of age. About 40% respondents were found having two children. About 47%, 52% & 25% respondents received advices on healthy diet, personal hygiene and cautions about drug uses respectively during antenatal period. Majority (84%) of respondents were done USG on their routine antenatal care investigation. About 65% respondents delivered their last issue at hospital among them 55% respondents last delivery conducted by qualified doctors. Majority (85%) respondent received TT immunization and 71% respondents were not faced any complication in last delivery and 53% respondents were suffering from problems related to reproductive system and among them abortion (35%), PPH (30%) and perineal tear (20%). Reproductive health practice was still worse among the rural community Effective strategies must be taken to improve reproductive health status of the rural women.

Background. Reproductive health needs to be understood by teens because adolescence is a period where there is a rapid growth including reproductive function. The impact of not maintaining reproductive health that can arise various diseases of the reproductive organs. From the survey results the researchers did on 10 students of class XI IPA SMAN Jumapolo Karanganyar, obtained a yield of 7 students do not understand clearly about reproductive health and are still puzzled how care productive health.Research purposes. To determine the relationship of the level of knowledge about reproductive  health  to  maintain  a healthy  reproductive behavior of female students in high school students science class XI at SMAN Jumapolo Karanganyar.Methods. The research design correlation with the approach of cross sectional method. Subjects were 40 grader XI IPA SMAN Jumapolo Karanganyar with saturated sampling technique in which the entire population is used as a sample. Data obtained by questionnaire to determine the level of student knowledge about reproductive health and behavior of students in maintaining the health of the reproductive organs. The data obtained and analyzed by chi square test with P = 0.05. Results showed the level of student knowledge about reproductive health with high category as many as 29 people (72.5%) and medium category  11 people (27.5%) whereas students with behavioral maintain reproductive health as many as 25 children (62.5%) and students who do not take action maintain reproductive health as many as 15 people (37.5%).Results of analysis using the chi-square test was obtained p equal to 0.035 so that the value of p <0.05, which means that Ho is rejected and Ha accepted. The conclusion from this research is there is correlation between knowledge about reproductive health students with behavioral maintain reproductive health of female students in high school students science class XI  at SMAN Jumapolo Karanganyar.Keywords: Level of Knowledge, Reproductive Health, Behavioral Health
